Jerk pork belly is out of this world!! Got a loyalty card cause I will be back for more!

We had ordered from here around 3:20-3:30 pm, we three chicken patties and a small portion of jerk chicken each. I woke up the next day feeling groggy and lightheaded with the urge to want to be sick. I threw up multiple times throughout the day and I’m still feeling sick three days later. It could have just been an old batch as this is the first time I have been there, but I can tell you this was all I had to eat that day so I know it was this.

Used to live in the area 4-5 years ago and it was my favourite place for Caribbean food. Was in the area today and had jerk pork with rice and peas and it was still great. Meat was moist and smoky. Rice and peas very flavorful. Jerk sauce didn't have the same kick I remember but was very nice. Large portion was massive.

We ordered to take out and food was amazing. It was my first time tasting Jamaican food. In my opinion the rice was a bit more spiced than I would like to but still so good!

Firstly, if you’re not Caribbean just go else where. Pretty sure the owner/manager is racist, there was a group of us (white males) walked in, he practically laughed in our faces, ordered a few bits, got all of the scraps. Avoid it - not worth it. Tip to the business - your business is in decline due to your terrible customer service & dead food, make some changes.

I ordered a large box Jerk Chicken but I only received a small box of 4 pieces of chicken inside without sauce. Highly poor for the cost of money. I wouldn't encourage to order here. Highly expensive for the portion of food I received.

The curried goat with rice and peas was DELICIOUS! I would also love to give a shoutout to the main gentleman for helping my sister and I back in September! Will definitely be returning.

Wow where do I even start. I ordered from here for delivery and nothing was good about it! Baring in mind the food is overly priced, I would’ve expected a better service and better food. My entire order was missing and when I called the shop, the person I spoke too was unhelpful and didn’t even seem to care. In the background I could hear the football which he was clearly focusing on more than my issue which is very unprofessional! The food I had arrived so cold and was not enjoyable. All I was left from the meal was a heart burn as my drink was missing and when I told the sales person he said “well we put one in there” as If I would search the store number to lie about a near 60p drink. I advise everyone willing to try Jerk Scene that I found this whole experience disappointing. This is my first time ever writing a food review as i usually can find good out of bad things but this establishment really needed it as it was honestly one bad thing after the other

Always amazing........ Delicious foods and generous portions. I happily travel 5 miles to collect my food from this establishment. Always hits the spots and I think is one of the best Caribbean takeaways in London!! And sells the most amazing pork belly. Definitely highly recommended and excellent value for money. Parking outside can be tricky.

Absolutely love this place and I regularly treat myself to both the Jerk chicken and curry goat which are delicious.

Really amazing food, massive portions too

Ordered two oxtail with rice n peas meals. They were both very salty and did not taste like the traditional oxtail stew, did nit have the usual condiments such as the peppers or small dumplins it just tatsed like any other stew! Considering that the food is not fresh is not fresh and i only got 3 pieces of meat , it was very expensive! Defo not worth it! Its my local but I would rather spend money on better quality! The best part of the meal was the colesaw!

Rude uninterested staff twice now I have walked out with nothing, first time completely ignored and this time just a grunt when I said good evening. Considering the food is not even fresh (put through the microwave) I didn’t think the arrogant attitude won’t be sustainable. Decided to go Jerk Haven on Bromley Road where I was greeted with smiles and served fresh Chicken off the BBQ in front of my eyes. Never leave reviews like this but Jerk scene you deserve it.

This is by far one of the greatest jerk cuisines I have ever been to. I even drive 1 hour from Maidstone to eat the food here.

I had the lunchtime special curry goat, served with rice and peas, a tub of slaw a fried dumpling and a drink, which was tasty and super value for money at only £6. Next time I'm around I'll pop in again. I can recommend it.

Authentic delicious food, great value for money and very good service. best Jamaican takeaway in SE London! Customer service is very good which we know isn't always the case in similar establishments. The rum cake is really nice and if you're lucky enough to be there when they have homemade drinks then try those too. They are a bit more expensive than your average JA Takeaway spot but totally worth it.

Very good jerk chicken and authentic

Jerk chicken is cooked to perfection. Could of took a star off as sauce is not to my exact taste but as my mother is a born and raised Jamaican - I know a authentic JA dish when I see/taste it and portion size was on point. So without bias, 5th star remains and I can smell their food sometimes from Inchmery Road which is a comfort.

I will never be buying from this atrocious place again the food was small cold and surprisingly raw as I finished the whole thing please no one eat here you are better off finding another restaurant right now im currently feeling sick due to this disgusting and raw food. The chicken was pink and raw.

Bland food, slow service, no hello when you walk in either

They were completely unprofessional. No hello, I called in advance and they made my food late and made my Uber cancel. They didn’t even apologise.

Fried chicken was nice small portion was more than enough 👌🏾

£2.90 for Tropical Rhythms drink that costs £1.60 next door ? ..small cabbage to nutritionally balance food £5.50 ???..so large food £9.50 +small portion of cabbage £5.50 + drink £2.90 = £17.90. Love supporting community but its a two way thing..fair price please! ..less salt in food please.

Had a lovely chicken patty and jerk chicken with rice and peas. The jerk chicken is griiled in-house and the patty nice and crisp and (not microwaved to a soggy consistency like the majority of carribbean takeaways. The takeaway was worth the money and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

I travel all the way from Croydon for the food Jerk Scene offers. Really good portion sizes and really good prices. Food is proper you can guarantee a good amount of actual meat not just scrawny bones like some shops offer and usually there is a good availablity of the menu. 10/10.

The jerk meats are cooked well and tasty, but the young boys behind the counter need customer service training urgently.

It was my first visit and was not sure what to have. The guys there were excellent with suggestions. I came away with some great chicken and a free sample of jerk pork. Brilliant experience, great food, I'll definitely be back.

The range of foods is beautiful. It reminds me of home, I love this place and if I could, I would eat here every day the prices for food is so affordable it is only a couple of pound's more than cooking your own good. It is spicy certain meats. Personally I really love jerk pork and if your getting something for breakfast , get the cornmeal porridge

Love this place. Must have spent enough here over the years to buy an Audi RS6.... Super tasty food - love the soups, love the chicken, love the oxtail, love the patties. You get the drift. Best jerk in South London I reckon.

Good variety of food and service was great. Food had little kick to it so those that do not like spice be careful. Nice size portions and worth the money. Not much parking in the area and they open very late. They also have seating. Food was very tasty.

Currently my fave Caribbean food shop of all time, food is legit true Jamaican fire keep coming back when I’m in the area. Chicken properly marinated and spicy unlike majority of Jamaican food shops, rice and peas to die for, cosslaw is amazing and I don’t even like veg, the hot gravy is amazingly good on the rice. This is closet thing I’m going to get to Jamaican food in Uk.

Honestly the best Caribbean food in and around south east, I live in eltham and will always end up in Jerk Scene compared to any Caribbean in the surrounding areas. The food never, ever lets me down and has a taste like no other. The Jerk Scene team always gives me a warm welcome also! This place will not disappoint, you have my word!

Considering that there are next door to another caribbean shop, you would belive that they would be more customer focused and they are not. Even though the food is good, I dislike going in here due to how they manage their customers and the waiting time. It needs a vast improvement!
