Pukka Bar in City of London, Westminster

Had a weekend brunch and the restaurant wasn’t crowded. The food comes in tapas style small portions but it’s very filling. Every item was delicious with brilliant service.

Years in and this is still an amazing spot. Great food, atmosphere and service with the plus of having the adjacent glamorous bar. A must!

Came across this restaurant and how lucky were we! Expensive but such delicious food. Beautiful interior. Good service. We will be back, and have been recommending the restaurant to friends.

Not cheap by any means - but truly exceptional Indian fine dining. Restaurant was beautiful and the service was top class. Still felt value for money because the food was so good. Food wise the lamb chops, butter chicken and lamb starter were world class. My one gripe is that the scallops were not trimmed and were not free of sand and grit. Such a shame because they were cooked beautifully. Will return.

Nice decor, good location. The whole expriance was below average but not as far as poor. We ordred: Dn Paneer Lababdar was fine Kashmiri Pulao was very expensive for such a small portion of rice £10.00 Gulab Jamun was fine Dabba lamb curry the sauce was far too runny and not flavoursome, the colour was not appetising. Jardaloo duch was fine Asp & broccoli was a little soggy Garlic nan was very good but hugely expensive for its size Raspberry Pancetta was fine but nothing special. Rhubarb Tatin was fine The Chateau Beaumont and Lay Bay Bacchus were fine The service was without a smile, bordering on robotic. Most waiters mumbled the description of the dishes or did not know what the ingredients were, none of the four of us could comprehend what was being said. We had to ask them to repeat several times and still it was incomprehensible. I asked for the wine waiter to recommend wines and told him that we have such lovely meals in the sister restaurant Veeraswamy. One of the waiters came a cross as totally bored, no effort was made to engage. There was no quality check apart of at the end of the meal, when one of the waiters asked how did the meal compere to Veeraswamy was which we visit on a regular basis. I said diplomatically – ITS DIFFERENT. The entire experience left us underwhelmed.

Attentive wait staff and really top notch Indian food (with price to match). A delicious recommendation for lunch and absolutely delicious. Well spiced and balanced and thoroughly enjoyable.

Went here for dinner with a group of colleagues and dined in a private room. The tasting menu was very good, especially the scallops in mango sauce. The staff were very service oriented, but also managed to be unobtrusive. Would highly recommend this for a group dinner.

First Tate authentic Indian food. Pricey compared to run of the mill curry houses but worth it for the different taste profiles, service and ambiance.

Only yesterday I enjoyed an unforgettable evening with my daughter in Chutney Mary, we have been promising ourselves to eat here for a long time,it was worth the wait , the service from the staff was second to none the food was delicious our starters were superb, the restaurant was amazing the so beautiful I just so nice I want to go back as soon as possible,it was my birthday and the waiter organised a plate of ice cream with a birthday message, a really nice touch .

My second visit and didn't disappoint. Excellent all round experience. A great, well priced, good value lunch menu. Very well located with a bright and welcoming ambience.

This restaurant ticks every single box! The food is insanely beautiful - particularly the jaipur lamb and scallop starter! The restaurant is high class and it was nice going dressed up as some you can go very casual so that was a nice charge. Lastly the staff couldn’t be any better - attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Best Indian ever!!!

Just Fab ! Much better than I thought it would be, but a deep wallet needed , but it's all worth while. Try the cocktails too.

This was excellent throughout and helped by the extremely efficient staff and the over all ambiance.

exotic food served with so much of imaginative garnish and accompaniments Price N portions are abs values for money I saw that almost all guest were local Londoners and overseas visitors enjoying the Indian food which is not their native food

As vegetarians, it’s not that easy to find a good fine dining experience worth the cost! Chutney Mary’s menu - both food and drink, cover a range of tastes. They also have good vegan options! The portion sizes are also very good. The ambience is superb and the staff are friendly as well. Definitely recommend to anyone considering a fine dining experience in London!

Dîner organisé par mon épouse pour un cadeau de noël. Première surprise il est precisé qu un dress code s applique avec une tenue plutot habillée.. il n en est rien les autres clients sont habillés tout à fait normalement. Table reservee a 21 h on nous refuse le choix du menu gastronomique en 6 plats qui ne serait servi que jusqu’à 20 h … aucune precision a ce sujet lors de la resa !! Nous sommes très decus evidemment. Le menu Tasting n est servi que pour l ensemble de la table et notre demande de modification d un plat de viande par autre chose pour mon épouse nous est refusée. Les plats que nous prenons sont délicieux mais terriblement épicés sans info a ce sujet. Addition très épicée egalement au final Très honnêtement cadre exceptionnel diner pas du tout a la hauteur du prix demandé Premier avis negatif pour moi depuis des années sur le site

Outrageously expensive for very average food. Fun party atmosphere. I can’t imagine why any reviewer would call this fine dining because it’s a pretty simple place although you can go dressed up and feel quite comfortable. London is expensive but the food here is just beyond any reason in cost. Of course they have a great location in Saint James..?

Chutney Mary hits the mark on food, service and ambiance. It's just one of our favorite places to dine!

We ate here on our last night in London. The food was delicious and service was very attentive as well. I don’t really like having to give a credit card deposit but I guess those of us that would cancel in time have to pay the price.

Fine dining Indian food with elegance, this restaurant was perfect for a special occasion. The food and service surpassed expectations and was the best Indian food we’d had, so said all 6 of us.

Pukka Bar is part of the restaurant known as Chutney Mary’s. It’s really great with super service and the cocktails are excellent. Recommended.

Online booking policy not clear on kids and the manager knew about it. I would understand not allowing kids in evening but during lunch as-well ? Is this not discrimination against children?

This swanky watering hole an easy icecube throw from St. James palace serves favorite Raj beverages as well a panoply of more modern fare. Large windows allow excellent people watching - but passersby can see you too if that's an issue.

Early to our booking was not any issue as we had time to enjoy a martini at Pukka Bar. Worth dropping by just for. drink.

Really nice ambience, but the best (pleasant) surprise was the food. We ordered a lot of small plates and a host of main course dishes. And we were blown away!

Lots and lots of yum! Small little gem, we found on our adventure. Locals told us to come, so we did and it was delicious.

High end Indian cuisine. Menu can change a bit. The usual dishes but some different ones as well. The presentation is immaculate.

I know its St James & London, but its also a curry. We had the fixed menu. Taste, presentation and service all good.

One of the rare bars in Mayfair which has always got action on. Try some of the most exclusive Cocktails and bar snacks. It even serves full restaurant menu on the adjacent tables.

We went to the bar before dining in Chutney Mary and I must admit I couldn’t work out whether it was the anteroom to the restaurant or was trying to be a location in its own right. I’m not sure if they know themselves. Perhaps we got them on a bad night but service was sloppy and some drinks were forgotten. Sorry, it just didn’t float my boat.

This was the front bar of The lovely Chutney Mary's, With very comfy seating and window couches and a very special wooden table, it was excellent. You can even eat here if you wish.

The Pukka bar was full too. They serve full meal with same menu. very elegant seating with my favorite window table.

Wonderful cocktails, exiting house cocktails plus variety of classics. had some pre-meal drinks worth trying for.

Il contesto è curato e accogliente, ma le pietanze deludono le aspettative. Essendo in gruppo, abbiamo avuto modo di assaggiare molti dei piatti del menù, ma nessuno è stato davvero degno di nota, né all'altezza del conto finale.

Had drinks here prior to dinner in the restaurant. Lovely welcoming staff, and the most delicious spicy cashew nuts I have ever tasted. Could have happily sat there for hours.

Pre And post meal drinks at the Pukka Bar were a treat with excellent cocktails and some wonderful spirits all served by great waiters

On my last few trips to London my body clock was a bit off at the start so I visited the bar at Chutney Mary's for a lighter late lunch and a drink or two when I first arrived. It is a comfortable and attractive bar area just off the main dining room and the bar menu features a lighter version of some classic dishes that are delicious and quite satisfying. They make a non-alcoholic cucumber Collins that is incredibly refreshing.

Came here for a quick drink before dinner. They have a great list of cocktails, spirits and wine. I went for the Raspberry Cosmopolitan! Best Cosmopolitan I have ever had!

Lovely Bar, delightful space, beautifully decorated with a stunning large wooden table running through that you can sit at individually or with a group to enjoy a smaller plate of food than is served in the restaurant., they also do sandwiches at lunch, and serve breakfast. Drinks are served in beautiful stemware.

Go there anytime and they are so happy to welcome you and offer you with friendly advise on the best drinks and dishes. They have a fabulous Bar Menu through out the day

Quick service & lovely surroundings for a first date. We had pink tattinger with mini samosas, onion bhajis and prawn pops. Delicious!

A very comfortable and hep place to be. Nice place for a relaxed drink. They serve a very good selection of bar menu there. Try the Golden fried prawns, Yummy !!
