Mint Leaf Lounge in City of London, Westminster

Arrived on time to be asked to have seat in the lounge area whilst the table was prepared, Odd as there were plenty of tables ready and no one at them. The venue is cold so bring a jumper. We ordered our food. Waited for 45 mins before asking where the food was, table behind us ordered after us but got served before. It transpired that it was the manager and his friends having dinner there who were clearly more important than all the other guests, The staff were flustered and did not understand or request of having each dish brought to the table as it was ready so it did not sit on the pass drying out, this did not happen and the food all came together and was beyond edible. We spoke to the manager who did want to try and rectify the problems by replacing all the food but by this point it was just too late, the staff needed to be more on the ball, there were other staff there that were hiding in the corner behind the bar and just popped their heads out to see what we were discussing with the manager, I'm guessing they were worried it may have been about them as we had not seen either of them do any work since we arrived. We ended up paying for our drinks and left to go and eat elsewhere where we had great Indian meal. The manager would like us to go back but we have standards when it comes to food and service and this place just does not come close, so no thank you we will not return and I'm guessing by the very few customers that were there this place needs every cover it can get.

Visited for my team dinner. Nice upmarket ambience, and good concierge service. Main course was good, however appetisers could be better. Ordered achari chicken tikka to begin with, and it was too bland and dry.

A lovely time was had, food and cocktails were delicious albeit 4 hours was spent in the restaurant 😋

We visited and did a family sharing menu, which was filled with a variety of dishes, all we really enjoyed. I especially enjoyed that you could get a refill of any dish on request, which meant everyone enjoyed without issue. Highly recommend

From the start when we walked in the restaurant we were not greeted well at all with no smile and the restaurant was so quiet it felt like the silence you see when your at a cemetry. Once we sat down one of the waiters came over to ask us for the order not even giving us time to decide what we would like. When we decided to order, one of the waiters said to us i am assuming your not drinking simply because of my appearance which is disgusting, humiliating and we felt so degraded. Even then for the sake of my wife we ordered the vegetarian platter and one of the chaats with 2 drinks. The food was so bad with no flavour and the mocktail drinks had so much ice all that could be tasted was water. Even when the food arrived they moved all of our cutlery which was not great so had to wait 5 minutes until he realised. They even demanded we pay service charge which we declined as we were very upset. To my surprise there was a gentlemen behind us who ordered kebabs and a curry with naan. We overheard the customer complaining the food doesnt taste great and the waiter said its cooked from frozen or preheated which is terrible. I strongly urge anyone who decides on going to this restaurant to think twice as you certainly do not want your evening ruined.

Very average experience. Expensive for what you get. Place feels tired and a bit grubby. Chairs dirty, we had early lunch and toilets had clearly not been cleaned with loo paper strewn around. Cleaner there and about to start but really should be done well before customers arrive. Even the menus were tired. Good was ok but forgettable. It was dark and dirty windows didn’t help. We waited a while for our party to arrive with no offer of nibbles/small starters. No clear allergy information. Seem to be sitting on their laurels with much better Indian offerings around. Really don’t bother.

Very good food and service. Everyone had a great moment and we definitely recommend the place. I will be back personally as this was a corporate event. Thank you for having us and for looking after us so well!!

We have ordered achari chicken, fish fry and kadai chicken with garlic naan. The achari chicken was rubbery, smelling bad and tasted awful. While the fish fry was okay, it tasted more like fish pakoda. The kadai chicken was straight evil with chicken smelling rotten and they couldn't even make a proper garlic naan(it was burnt completely on one side and the garlic wasn't cooked on the other side). Ordered dal makhani at the end and guess what is even more awful. The glass of Shiraz wine was bitter and I couldn't finish it in 1 hour. Overall a disgusting food experience for the price of £100 and the atmosphere along with the staff were alright. I'll give it a 0.1/10 and no where near to Modern Indian dining.

The food was so delicious we tried their 3 course meal menu. Highly recommend the service is top notch. Mr. Vikas greet us very well.

One of the best Indian cuisine I have had in central London. Just within 2-3 minutes walks from Bank station exit 3, its at a very convenient location. A great ambience and very helpful staff make it a an enjoyable fine dining experience.

Mint Leaf is an uber-chic spot for authentic Indian cuisine. We visited for a team outing, and the food truly rivals what you'd find in India. As a vegetarian, I tried the dahi papdi chaat, followed by Indian bread with a jackfruit and spinach curry—both were exceptional! The flavors were rich and unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a genuine taste of India in a stylish setting.

Had the lamp chop starters, which were really good. Also ordered the seekh kebab as a starter and it did not taste fresh so was a disappointment. For mains we ordered butter chicken and chicken korma, both good dishes but butter chicken was the better of the two. Also ordered garlic naan which came out a bit too hard, would have preferred it to be slightly softer. Overall not bad, just a shame about the seekh kebab.

4th time dining here on this occasion staff dropped wine over one of the guests and was aggressive towards a guest when asked if popadoms would be complimentary as a joke. These items affected the experience but the food was still good

Food at Mint Leaf was excellent. We had a bunch of starters including prawns, salmon tikka, crab and squid. All good but squid was my fav. Service was disappointing given the prices and what the restaurant is going for. We asked the waiter if there was a limit on the table and he asked us to ask the front desk. Not what I expected. Expensive but food quality really good.

Visited on a slow evening. Pleasant wait staff, unique and tasty cocktails, King Fisher on tap (!). It is a solid 4+. The rating here is spot on. Lastly, the food is very good, served hot to the table. It is a bit expensive but it’s London. Recommend.

The restaurant is very tastefully decorated with a very cool vibe and ambience. All dishes are nicely presented and tasty. We didn't manage to try any deserts as the kitchen had closed and gone home. Overall, great service drinks and food.

We recently celebrated my wife's 40th birthday at Mint Leaf. The whole evening from start to finish was incredible. The starters, the mains and the mocktails were absolutely delicious. However the thing that made the whole evening was the service. Nothing was too much for the staff. My wife and all our family and friends have not stopped talking about it. We cannot wait to celebrate here again in the near future.

We ordered a couple of dishes to share between 2 of us, they were all very tasty and nicely presented, decor and atmosphere was great, seating was comfortable given we spent over 2 hours, waiter were too busy and we had to wave for attention. We ordered an onion salad not knowing it would only be onions. I would expect the waiter to be more engaging and check with customer regarding their order. In summary i would recommend this restaurant and would visit again

Good food and service. We went as part of a group, and the food was tasty and yummy. Be it the starters- Grilled Prawns, Kashmiri Chicken Tikka, Aloo Tikki, Tandoori Malai Broccoli or the Mains- Dal Makhni, Paneer Tikka Masala, Lamb, Chicken and top it off the Gulabjamun and Icecream for dessert. Highly recommend. Nicely located in walking distance to Bank and Moorgate stations.

Terrible service . Waited 45 mins before being offered a drink . Food was nothing special, small portions , very overpriced and more like they’d come out of a tin . Staff were wiping bits of food and clearing table whilst we were still trying to eat and even flicking food over us and not apologising ! Yet if you wanted a drink no one was around . The choice of food was limited and the cheesecake for desert had no taste at all and was rubbery . My nephew had booked it for my birthday and advised them on the booking form and asked they do something special like a balloon or a candle in my dessert and they did nothing - never acknowledged it yet encourage you on their website to celebrate with them !

I had privately hired the whole venue for my 40th birthday and i can not speak highly enough of the service, the staff, the establishment and the food. Compliments to everyone part of Mint Leaf for making my birthday celebration absolutely epic. Would highly recommend to anybody whether it he for dinner, drinks, or a private event!

Really quite average. There are so many great Indian restaurants in London - and this just isn’t one of them. I think they benefit from the location near Bank - where the city crowd don’t have many Indian restaurants to from.

Ottimo cibo indiano, curry ricco e cremoso ma non solo, il naan era buonissimo. Bel locale moderno, con ottimo bar che fa anche ottimi cocktail. Servizio ok.

I was here recently on my company party, food and drinks were good 4/5, but service was terrible. I had to wait drink 30-45min, and chase a waiter to actually get one.

We had to ask for the 3-course menu as listed on the website which they obviously tried to hide from us at first. Once ordered, they were very unfriendly. Food was mediocre at best. Desert came frozen (not on purpose) so they took it back but did not provide substitute. Super bad. Sorry, but no sorry.

Second time here both times work board meetings ,food is always on point if not a little expensive the only thing that let's it down are the poppadoms and bread ,poppadoms are out of a packet like crisps and they do roti . I grew up in Bradford so when you have a curry it's chapati all the way .

Attended for my brothers birthday and I can truly say it was a wonderful dining experience. The food was beautiful and the portions were perfect. The atmosphere was also very nice and the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend! Thank you for having us! We will definitely be back.

Awesome place. We dined there several years ago and during this visit we made sure we go there again. Crafty cocktails. Innovative food. Brilliant ambience. For us the best part was a live saxophonist who played the jazz we love. This was cherry on the top. The friendly staff walked us to the Uber pickup point without asking. Will go there every time we are in London. This is an integral part of out London experience. Cheers

Perfect indian fine dining restaurant in the heart of London

Amazing restaurant with fantastic cocktails and food! We visited Mint Leaf for a dinner at a Saturday night. Upon our arrival we were absolutely amazed by the interior of the restaurant. The grand columns, the bronze statues, the exquisite dim-lit restaurant and the illuminated bar provided a mysterious, out-of-this-world feeling. We ordered two of their signature cocktails and learnt that each cocktail on the menu tells a tale from Indian history! We ordered the ‘Sunderban’ and ‘The Lost Treasure Cocktails’. The first was served in the cutest mushroom-shaped glass I have ever seen 🍄, while the latter was served in a treasure box. Our waiter patiently waited for us to get ready with our camera to film as he opens the box. 🙏🏻 I had a friendly chat with the bartender, and he informed me that all types of Gin they had, had been infused inhouse. How cool is that! The food was very high quality and full of flavour. We ordered the Lamb Kebab and the Jackfruit Kofta. Normally I am not a fan of lamb, but this one tasted like heaven! As for the dessert, we ordered the Mango Mousse Cake and the Chocolate Cake. Both were amazingly smooth and delicious, not too sweet and not heavy. If you are looking for the perfect place to celebrate Mother’s Day or spend a romantic date night with your significant other, Mint Leaf Lounge is definitely a great choice!

I visited Mint Lounge with my partner for dinner. The interior was absolutely stunning, and the food and drink were first class. The venue has a stylish restaurant area with wooden space dividers for more intimate dining experience, a lovely cocktail bar area and a champagne mezzanine bar that gives a stunning view to the ground-floor restaurant and the bar. The staff were very knowledgeable about the dishes and the cocktails. I went for the ‘Lamb Seekh Kebab’ as an appetiser which was lamb mince served on a skewer along with some salad. It was perfectly seasoned, moderately spicy and full of flavour. I tried the ‘Bhuna Khargosh’ which was slow-cooked rabbit with spicy Indian gravy. Normally I don’t eat rabbit but wanted to try something different that night and what a great choice it was! The spicy sauce went perfectly well with the rabbit and the meat was so crumbly it melted in my mouth. The Mango Mousse Cake was a perfect choice to finish the night. It tasted just as good as it looked.

Had a great experience at Mint Leaf last night. We had booked the private room on the mezzanine floor for my friend's hen do and Vikas went out of his way to arrange this for us - I can't thank him enough. The restaurant is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere. Food and service was great too. Will definitely be back!

Magnificent decor - the service is very very good. A chic and elegant restaurant with very refined cuisine. 3 of us went with colleagues. I can't tell you what I ate, I wasn't the one who ordered but the naan was amazing.

I had a mixed experience at Mint Leaf. The starters were below average, with one arriving burnt. The mains were okay, but the naan bread was initially served cold; after complaining, they brought a hot second serving. The overall quality of the mains was average. The ambiance was chilly, requiring jackets, and the delay in the card machine frustrated me, leading to a decision not to pay the service charge.

Excellent experience overall with delicious food, nice ambience & great service. All staff were friendly & attentive. Food was authentic and served in good time. Everyone in the family really enjoyed.

Food is excellent, staff are friendly. Everything is over priced and on top of that they charge service charge when I collected food from them for lunch . Again, at a group gathering, we split the costs between us, But they thought they will slyly charge each person a service charge even though they served us as a whole and added it in the main bill anyway. Ladies toilets were dreadful, all toilets were blocked and no alternative was provided. Lovely decor and food, but i dont think I'll be going there again!

Beautiful Indian restaurant with delicious and authentic food. A bit pricey, but definitely worth the money. Not very busy, unfortunately, despite the great food. We had the Lamb Curry and Lam Biryani. Both super delicious. Definitely a great recommendation for people avoiding the tourist spots!

Pathetic service and not at all value for money

Celebrated Christmas party here with canopy service, food was ok , canopy service was pathetic, left lot people hungry, service was infrequent and only concentrated in a specific area. But good music.

It was a busy Thursday lunch time but we waited for over an hour for just a main course. Our order was wrong, the food was average and expensive, and I’ll let you decide if this £6 “onion salad” was good value…

I wasn't sure what to expect as Indian cuisine is so widely available but Mint leaf really delivered in quality of food, flavour and service. I ordered the chicken to start and the lamb curry for mains with naan. Absolutely delicious! The presentation of the food was very well done. Fresh and flavoursome Indian food at its finest. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will certainly be visiting again!

Really poor service. Table booked for large party. 14 of us attended and was seated at a table fit for 12. Colleague tried to sit at end of the table and was told to squeeze back on the side where we are literally shoulder to shoulder ! Plates were stone cold and food was alright but nothing special. Could have got better at my local cheap curry house. Won’t be revisiting.

Went for a birthday and service was awful - we paid a 3 figure deposit for the table and waiter did not subtract this from the final bill. When we asked for plates for the birthday cake, a waiter came over and whispered to me that it would be an extra £50 to provide plates. We left with a bad taste in our mouths as the service was so bad and focused on getting us in and out and charging us as much as possible. Would not recommend.

Krishna was an excellent host. Food was nice. Staff was overall very pleasant and courteous.

The food was excellent, except for the tempura batter which was a bit too heavy. The service was spot on, absolutely terrific throughout.
