Below average and pricy experience. The starters were nice, especially the trio of dosas, very tasty! The mains were poor. My kerala fish curry was a watery soup with very little flavour. Plenty chunks of nice fish to be fair. By contrast the yellow dal was thick with ghee and not much spice. The dessert Gulab Jamun Tirimasu was hilariously bad. A small stodgy piece in a cocktail glass, topped with plain cream and chocolate shavings. 14 quid.

Great Indian spot with impeccable margs and some delicious food! The space and ambience is also very cool - like a train carriage and the staff was great! Highly recommend for date night or just a chill yet upscale dinner

This is the best Indian food I've ever had hands down. My girlfriend and ordered the multi-course meal and received a wide variety of dishes that we had never tried before, as well as some of the classic staples. The only downside was that one of our servers seemed a bit irritated and not as friendly as the host. Nonetheless this is well worth the visit.

I had heard so much about Bombay Bustle and finally visited last night for dinner. Love the interiors of the place, very quirky and cool. The service was top notch and the food is just delicious. I would highly recommend Laal maas…just the perfect amount of spice and so so delicious. The cocktail menu is super. Highly recommended Indian restaurant in such a central position:

For someone who is unfamiliar with the Indian cuisine is a great place to start with! Trio of Dosa was so delicious! Malai Chicken Tikka is definitely worth trying! Great atmosphere in general and very caring staff!

Visit today to experience the Express Lunch set menu £29 x 2 courses or £34 3 courses and it was such an amazing experience. From the beginning the service was spectacular, they made us feel super comfortable and gave us great advice for “non spicy”/less spicy options. We loved the food, especially chicken spinach and broccoli. To end with Tiramisu was just the perfect note for our visit.

I recently ordered Madras Chicken Curry via Deliveroo. Unfortunately, I found the chicken to be very chewy and the dish itself was milder than expected—especially for a Madras curry. Given the £28 price point, I anticipated a more tender chicken experience. On a positive note, the Jeera Pulao was great. Overall, this order fell short of expectations, and I don't plan on re-ordering.

Had not pre booked but went for my birthday dinner as it’s been a restaurant I’ve wanted to visit. However upon entering I was told I was not allowed my pram in the restaurant. The restaurant was empty. My baby was sleeping in the pram and so I asked if I can keep the pram with me in a corner table. The manager was called at this point however he refused and asked me to leave the pram near the entrance. How were we supposed to dine with my baby sleeping on my shoulder/ or worse still, my baby sleeping on the pram by the entrance of the restaurant? Be abit more accommodative! I’m sure families do visit the restaurant. Anyway, they lost our custom.

Very cosy restaurant tucked down a side street near Regent street. The food was amazing and freshly prepared and the waiters were very attentive.

Most Indian restaurants in London would meet or exceed the taste of this restaurant at the fraction of the price. It is an incredibly expensive restaurant for very average food. Definitely would not recommend amongst so many other options in this city. Also 12,5% cover fee + 2,5% service fee?

We ordered biryani take away and were looking forward to it but was extremely spicy. We struggled after having small portion and thought to give a feedback. It was a disastrous experience firstly, restaurant manager was very adamant just not willing to acknowledge that it was spiced with lots of green chilies and told us that they just garnish with 1 chilli. Secondly, he just hung up the phone which is VERY DISRESPECTFUL ,NO ETIQUETTE. Being very honest, we were not swearing or yelling but Ofcourse frustrated enough as he was just not willing to accept feedback. Are these managers just meant to manage happy customers or have any iota of skill set to manage bad customer experience? Worst customer service experience. Typical of Indian creed manager of high end venues disrespectful to their own country people in UK. What a shame!!

I went to the restaurant as I wanted to do take away order for just lamb biryani . I check online on google if the restaurant is open and the time showing online was 10:30pm the restaurant closes . I entered the restaurant at 21.58pm I asked the server can I do a take away he was like ok let me check . Then he came after sometime saying kitchen closed they don’t take anymore order . Then I requested the receptionist please can you ask the manager if he can request the kitchen to take order. The answer was no from the manager as well . After all there 3 table having they mains . Very shameful .I’m very disappointed with this type of costumer service . They need to change the timing online saying restaurant close at 21:58 instead of 10:30 pm . Never ever gonna come back to this place. It’s so awful

We made a booking & the restaurant was not accommodating to our party at all. We asked for the general manager to resolve the situation and he was rude and then ran away. The staff were unable to provide names for the general manager. Having failed to deliver a service typically expected in Mayfair we left and went to Kanishka few doors down which was fantastic and accommodating. No wonder the restaurant was so empty at dinner. The service at this restaurant has left a bad taste as a returning customer. There are much better Indian restaurants to try around Mayfair for sure.

Called the restaurant and told them I wanted to come for tea came with a group six and asked to have dessert and tea, staff was extremely rude and said we had to order something for the main menu to have dessert They then refused us service when we said we wouldn’t do so, completely opposite of what was promised on the phone it was 10 o’clock and the restaurant was almost empty Jatinder the general manager came out to talk to us and was also rude and incompetent and refused to talk to us and ran away Absolutely worst experience I’ve ever had - I went out my way to come here

The ambience and atmosphere of the place is absolutely stunning. Starters were really really good, like the Tandoori chicken was just out of this world. However, the main course was a bit disappointing. I personally think two or three startes each would be better than a starter and a main course. Drinks were decent and service was pretty good. Might visit again but only for starters.

I visited this place today evening and was surprised to get the booking very easily. Maybe I should have guessed them the reason why it was so easy to get a booking on a Saturday night in the third week of December. The restaurant cleanliness was good. The staff seemed friendly except for the waiter serving us. We ordered Tawa crab and Kerala fish curry with garlic naan and rice. I was surprised to find the Tawa crab swimming in a red tomato sauce while I was expecting a fry dish with minimum sauce. The Kerala fish curry was the worst I have ever had in a supposedly fine dining restaurant. It tasted of nothing but tomatoes, absolutely flavourless. The only good thing was the garlic naan. The rice was hard and cold. To make the things worse the meal cost me £90 for a sub standard food.I would advise you to stay away from this place if you want good food.

Anything more, you are put in an uncomfortable situation, constantly interrupting, completely disregarding and putting you and your guests in an awkward situation. Utter disappointment and shameful.

I went there to celebrate my birthday, we had high hopes as I was celebrating my 22nd birthday there and we asked for a birthday treat which we didn't receive and when we ordered a dessert we just got a cake with a candle on top! No happy birthday nothing! So bad

Some of the most amazing Indian food I’ve ever had.

Very nice ambiance. Food just ok. Extremely overpriced. Honestly I was expecting much more food taste wise for an Indian restaurant in the famous UK.

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids that visited for an early Saturday dinner. It is a large venue split over 2 floors, and it was semi busy. Our group ordered the samosa chaat, trio of duck dosas, keema pau, garlic prawns, egg truffle naan, lamb chops, fish tikka, lal maas (mutton curry), chicken tikka makhani, black dahl, along with some rice and a few naans. The food ranged from decent to excellent. We particularly enjoyed the dosas, keema pao, garlic prawns and I was also impressed by their light and airy naans. The egg truffle naan was a bit disappointing (lacked truffle flavour) and the fish tikka a bit dry, but these were the only minor negatives on the evening. For dessert we tried the gulab jamun tiramisu and the jalebi cheesecake, with the former being the clear winner of the two. Service was quite friendly and quite speedy. It felt well organised. The bill for our group came to around £600, of which £200 was spent on drinks. On the pricier side but not excessive given the Mayfair location, and we were also able to get 15% off the bill due a current promo. Overall an excellent Indian meal and I do regret not coming here sooner, given it’s been on my radar for so long!

My partner and I were looking for a last minute table in the Carnaby Street. We tried to grab a walking table at a place we had seen previously on a Sonebidy Feed Phil episode but were greatly deterred by the long line up of over thirty other patrons who were waiting ahead of us. A quick search of the Michelin Guide lead us to Bombay Bustle where we were able to be seated immediately and enjoyed a delicious meal.

Stumbled upon this place when in search of Indian food. Our server was so incredibly helpful and guided us on what to order as it was our first time ever having Indian cuisine. Everything was perfect, service was great

We went there for dinner on our last day trip to London, we were looking for an Indian restaurant and we got to know about this through Google. They have charged us extra money for cover charge (and didn't inform us beforehand about it) and when we inquired about it they mentioned it's restaurant policy. Staff is very friendly with foreigners but very rude with Indian. I would never suggest any of our fellow Indian to go there. It was such a waste of money.

Probably the best Indian food we have had. Spiced perfectly with just the right amount of heat. Decor felt modern, yet traditional. Service attentive without feeling rushed. We cannot wait to go back and work through the rest of the menu.

We had a very average meal at Bombay Bustle last evening. We could not finish any of our main courses - simply not to the standard you would expect at a restaurant like this. The service was ok. Very inflexible on menu changes or requests. That’s their policy and that’s fine. Overall, a very average experience for the hype and price.

The greeting and table assignment were very unfriendly and sometimes arrogant. At first we had to wait quite a long time until the waiter noticed us. Afterwards a more experienced and friendly waiter came and things got better. Unfortunately, the first impression was decisive: we would not recommend the restaurant

Excellent customer service 10 Stars!! Easy booking, follow up call to confirm all the details. Friendly team who go above and beyond. Cater for all ages and amend the menu if necessary. They ensure everyone is enjoying their food. Food ordered quickly spot on and service is very quick. Highly recommend and will be visiting again!

We had an amazing night at Bombay Bustle! The interior design is cute and charming, adding to the overall dining experience. We tried the trio of dosa, which was absolutely delicious, and the spiced grilled lamb was also fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a flavorful and enjoyable meal!

The food and service were incredible! The presentation was beautiful, with some really nice touches that made the meal feel special. The bill was on the expensive side, especially with a couple of cocktails and their legendary chai. But despite the price, I’ll definitely be back to treat myself again! Competently done Indian food - loved the taco sized dosas with chettinad duck filling. They have decent vegetarian options, even some without onion and garlic.

The food was phenomenal! This is a great place for vegetarians and vegans alike as they have a separate vegan menu. The flavors were out of this world. Note that the food is a little pricy. I will definitely go back.

Was there last weekend for a reunion party with my PhD supervisor and his family. The food is very delicate and delicious. The atmosphere is perfect for family gatherings and small group meetings. We were sitting in the basement floor and the decor is beautiful and elegant. Perhaps might be better to have a slightly brighter light as I couldn’t see very well the food being served as it is rather dark. It’s pretty good for a night out and the price is not bad for a classy restaurant in Mayfair. The food is nice but not as in amazingly wonderful. But their cocktails are fabulous! Especially the incognito! Still recommend.

Great food, a bit pricey for the portion sizes on some dishes. (breads especially) Raj Kachoori was fantastic but the chickpeas could have been cooked more. Best tandoori I have had hands down and the curries are delicious!

Food was mediocre. Cockroach crawled across my companion's blouse and when handed to the waiter (in a napkin), reaction was surprising unsurprised. No follow up from management despite a note on OpenTable sent. Would not recommend.

We visited with family and requested a table, the Table manager was so rude and unwelcoming. He treated us unprofessionally, rolled his eyes and gave us a table. No service was given to us for 25 min and later after asking he screamed saying to his staff member” No service to be given to us.” Really poor behaviour and service. Will never recommend this restaurant.

Uchi dukaan phika pakwaan. Please avoid this restaurant. The tangra chilly chicken was mild not at all spicy, chicken was overcooked and tasted like rubber super hard. Garlic butter shrimp was served over malabar paratha(God knows why ???) and which was floating in butter. Podi was not at all spicy mostly some desiccated coconut. I gave feedback to my server but no acknowledgement by manager or chef. This is one of bad foods i had in london. Please avoid !!!

Overpriced and lousy service, which they probably know since they include tips in the price. I ended up tipping £20 because it was included. They deserved nothing.

It was the worst experience , we went for birthday celebration which was the worst decision. After mentioning everything on message before booking nothing they did and when I asked to speak to manager , manager didn’t come and then requested again he comes in attitude and was so rude ( Balaji ) that’s what we told his name is. We don’t cone for such rudeness .. way too dissapointed . He kept Arguing with us .

Really nice atmosphere. Decorate to look like the inside of a train carriage. Food was lovely. Very rich and flavoursome. We went around 5pm so was not that busy at the time. Definitely recommend a visit here.

Set on a quiet lane off Regents Street, Bombay Bustle offers authentic Indian taste. I cannot fault the taste nor service however would have loved to see a slightly bigger portion size.

Bombay Bustle stands out as a vibrant ode to Mumbai's lively spirit. The interior is a homage to luxurious Indian train travel – with pops of color and polished brass fittings that evoke both Bollywood glamour and a sense of adventure. Despite the late weekday lunch hour, the welcome was warm, the service smooth, and the restaurant blissfully quiet. My famished self dove straight into the menu. I started with the samosa papdi chaat – crispy samosas doused in thin chickpea noodle and a tangy mint chutney. A perfect example of elevated street food. The rarah keema pao was the bustling street food scene in a dish. Spoonfuls of lamb mince chunks and the accompanying soft buns were the ideal delivery system to soak it all up. The onion salad provided a welcome contrast – a refreshing crunch to balance the richness of the lamb. Next, the chicken tikka makhani, a world away from your average butter chicken. A classic done exceptionally well. The chicken sporting a beautiful char had obviously spent some quality time in the tandoor, imbuing it with a smoky depth of flavor nestled in a rich, buttery sauce. A comforting yet nuanced delight. On to the dabba dal, an overnight-cooked black lentil dish that was pure soulful goodness. It was the kind of dish that warms you from the inside out, begging to be scooped up with fluffy naan (which, of course, was ordered – and promptly devoured). No Indian meal is complete without some bread, and the garlic naan and butter naan here were like the reliable train conductors of this culinary journey. The garlic naan was fragrant and garlicky, with perfectly blistered edges and the butter naan was slathered in creamy butter and a study in comforting simplicity. The décor adds an extra layer of charm, transporting you straight to the heart of an upscale train carriage reimagined for the modern foodie. If you find yourself in Mayfair skip the overpriced posh nosh and board the Bombay Bustle as you wouldn't want to miss this delicious train to culinary delight.

Food was absolutely 10 on 10 but i think seating arrangement are not so good.

Was a date night and what could be better than mouth watering Indian food on the platter!! I am an indian food lover, and absolute die heart fan of well blended flavors! Must say Bombay Bustle got the game right (or should i say the recipies right? 😉) No doubt of this place being a michellin star!

Decent restaurant with average food and drinks. Very pricey but thats expected in Mayfair. Had a birthday lunch booked - no efforts from the restaurant to make it any special. We had brought a celebratory cake with us - to our surprise (read shock) we were told there is a charge of £12 per person if we were to cut the cake. In summary, nothing special about Bombay Bustle for the price you will end up paying.

À most do in London. You est here like you really travelled to India! A bit expensive but worth it for the cuisine the quality and the taste !

Good food. The let down was the slightly slow service. We were in a hurry and this was a business meal, so felt like we had to constantly chase down the waiters. They were probably trying to be respectful but I think need to appreciate some tables have a faster cadence than others. Also felt we were misguided on portions which are tiny, so needed to probably order more than we had on the table.

Gorgeous, awesome, fab cocktails, huge portions and nice service! Wow, what else could I ask? Oops, did I mention the wine list? We all know what top-end Indian looks and tastes like, but I didn't know they had it here. Thank you. Bustle indeed.
