This place is great. The food is authentic and delicious. The portions are enormous and very good value. The lady who runs the place is a delight, friendly and full of life. They also have a little shop selling all sorts of Thai food staples. My only regret is that there isn't yet a branch of Tam's where we live.

Good tasty food ,I've tried a few different dishes and enjoyed them all,friendly service ,good value for money,excellent.

Amazing as always… pineapple fried rice is my favourite…. Tonight Massaman beef curry. Staff are so friendly and the service has always been seamless. This has a new owner so some off the previous comments are not representative. Try it you won’t regret it!

I have been a customer of Tam's for several years and it is my 'Go To' takeaway on the odd occasion that I can't be bothered to cook. It has always, until tonight, been cooked with fresh meat and the rice when I've had it has been excellent. However, tonight was a totally different story. Having heard that it had changed hands I had hoped that the standards were being maintained. Instead, the chicken seemed to be pre cooked sliced stuff which had been reheated, the rice was like it is after standing around for quite some time, soft and unpleasant, it couldn't be classified as sticky rice either. The vegetables which were in the dish were very few and more like a little sprinkling. All in all I am very disappointed and can only hope that this evening was an aberration. Very sad.

The food tasted very authentic we loved it. It’s quite casual to dine in so we opted to take it home with us. The panang, massaman and garlic fried rice were all 10/10 would definitely recommend

Authentic Thai food, great variety, very reasonably priced, super friendly service. You can eat in with your take away. It’s open on a Monday! Great little hidden gem :)

Ive been coming to this place for years and never had any issues with the food or the service. On an occasion the noodles can be quite oily but the food is still exceptional.

Great friendly service, great prices, authentic, great tasting, plus you can buy your Thai ingredients too cook at home. highly recommended.

The staff there were very friendly and the food was perfect. I’m Thai so I know what thai street food tastes like. The prices are shockingly low and everything is served in large portions. Best Thai restaurant.

Have been eating at Tam’s for several years, whenever we visit Oswestry. Small and assuming place, cheery service, terrific menu and very, very tasty food. I usually have the Tom Yum soup, but decided it really was time to try something different so I went for Prawns in Thai Chow Mein, which was simple and delicious. My husband enjoyed a plate of mixed meat in Malaysian Rendang curry - he just kept muttering “delicious, just delicious’. We shared some Duck Spring Rolls too, which were also very good. The food is cheap, fresh and hot and better than most of the thai food we’ve eaten in smarter restaurants. Can’t go wrong, honestly.

The greasiest noodles I’ve had so far in a restaurant. Chicken wings are as bad as they could get; very thick breading and bland flavour. To top it all, the lady cook is very impolite, and will ask you to bring your plates back to her till like it isn’t an eat in restaurant.

I stopped here for lunch as I had seen the good reviews and had never tried this place the food was great and I enjoyed my duck with tamarind sauce and coconut rice they also have a small Asian mini market where I bought some sauce from a company I’ve never hear off overall great place

Thia place looks so unassuming but we loved it. If yoy eat in (which we did), the delicious Thai food is served on attractive plates and is simplicity itself. We had a chicken masoman curry and a yellow chicken curry with boiled rice. Really delicious.The staff were really friendly and the food arrived promptly.Simple, great value and a fun place.

This is the place to go if you like spicy food and great value for money, the choice is good and everything is cooked to order. Fresh and so tasty and so friendly staff seriously what’s not to like? They also sell a great range of products that you won’t find in the local supermarkets, seriously good

A few miles into England, Oswestry yet sports a Welsh Sunday, i.e. - gloomy, nearly everything closed.Stumbling, by chance, into New St & "Tam's Noodle Bar" proved a lifesaver; only a few tables & counterstools, but Thai/Far Eastern food to match comfortable restaurants charging two/three times the price.Noodle dishes were particularly enjoyed.Our 'small' noodle portions were actually larger than the restaurant average! Hungry young Asians soonarrived to tackle 'large' portions fit for a family.Not place for a romantic dinner, but remarkable quality & value.

Was surprised by this place. Was looking for food on a Saturday night & not familiar with the area. Stumbled across this place & was pleasantly surprised. Prices were very reasonable & the food was actually really good & filling. Would definitely recommend & would go back

Honestly some of the best food in Shropshire. The Pad See Iew is my favourite and such comfort food! The staff are always super friendly, the place is clean, and if you're buying food from the attached thai food shop they'll help you out with planning your recipe which is just... so helpful!Best place for takeout, nice to sit in, even if the chairs are a tad rickety!

Thai takeaway with seating for probably 8 people to eat in. Great food and really good value. An unpretentious dining experience and only a couple of minutes walk from the best pub in town (the Bailey Head) should you need alcoholic sustenance.

Thank you so much for the restorative soup. Very lovely ladies re-created a meal I had in Chiang mai and made up for the pretty poor food I endured in mid Wales. Also great to be able to stock up in the shop. A brilliant gem hidden away.

This place sells pretty authentic Thai food, and is run by friendly efficient staff. The little shop that sells noodles etc is a bonus. There is seating where you can watch the world go by and the food is tasty and reasonably priced. I recommend the geng keow wan, or Phad Thai.

Lovely food, quick service, huge portions and really tasty food! Would definitely recommend for a take away. The supermarket is really interesting too!

Fancied something tasty for a Birthday treat for myself, husband and 3 children and we all absolutely loved it! Also loved the bill!

I have been here several times and the food is always really good. Service is brilliant, staff very friendly and helpful, theres an incorporated supermarket with lots of oriental food and ingredients.

loved pretty much everything on the menu that i have tried. The Singapore noodles, the Malaysian noodles with either duck or mixed meat are my favorite. The duck spring rolls i also love and the chips as a side are really tasty.

Nos encanta nuestra comida tailandesa, así, cuando estábamos cerca de Oswestry durante unas vacaciones familiares, nos agradó aprender sobre Tams. El personal era muy amable y acogedor. Todos los platos que preparaban para nosotros eran super sabrosa y auténtica. Disfrutamos especialmente el Tom Yum con mariscos y el pollo al curry rojo.

Unfortunately this place didn't live up to the hype, the currys we had were incredibly watery with a layer of grease floating on top, the meat was tough and even the rice was stodgy and like mine at home! Won't be returning ever. Avoid!

This is basically a takeaway with a few tables through an archway, and we were a bit reluctant as no-one else was eating when we looked through the window, but we were glad we did. It is a bit rough and ready as a cafe- straws to drink the cans out of, shout out when your order is ready so you come and get it from them, rather than glasses etc, but it isn't pretending to by anything but a pit stop where you can get tasty food and the service

Suffering a cold I wanted a spicy lunch to help me clear out my head! We had passed this little noodle bar on many occasions but never gone in as it was always busy - and I can now see why. We found a table & enjoyed authentic, tasty, well presented & well priced Thai food - I had a tofu / veg noodle dish hubby had a beef Thai green curry and we cleaned our plates. Delicious. Also good to know that you can pick up a wide range of Asian groceries there too

More super tasty noodles from this little gem! Great to see the addition of vegetarian favourite Tofu to the menu. The Thai Green curry noodles with Tofu and veg was delicious, and the new gluten free labels really helpful. Great value and excellent taste!

Called in on way back from Wales.Got food to take home still warm when we got back 90 mins later.Food was good with fresh ingredients mostly Thai with some Chinese dishes on offer. Mini asian supermarket inside.

Had the noodle bar option where you could choose what you wanted in the box, prices were very good with the food tasting amazing and very filling. Would definitely recommend

Was told food would take 20 minutes, after a 50 minute wait, which involved me receiving the wrong order, and the place running out of stuff I´d ordered, I wrote a review on Facebook. The owner contacted me, promising me a refund or a free meal – in her words. She contacted me again, saying I could have a free meal or refund if I deleted my negative review on Facebook. Today I contacted the owner to place an order for our meal (which cost less than our original) the owner told me she would only give one item for free, to which I asked for a refund instead, was told I´d then only get a refund for one item. In reply to this, the owner tells me she has video footage of me waiting 30 additional minutes in store, in which I appear to be “happy”. I´ve taken screenshots of the conversation. The place can´t be trusted.

Cannot understand reviews on this takeaway. You may ask why I have ordered from this takeaway four times. Well the truth is..... I like to give any establishment more than one chance to try and win me over. I just think that's fair. It also overcomes any problems the establishment may have which was out of their control at that particular moment. Anyway, more importantly, ordered the classic pad Thai chicken noodles- bland beyond belief. A far cry from an explosion of south East Asian flavored you would expect. Not once did I taste garlic or ginger or any other classic Thai cooking ingredient. It's just really strange. I tried my wife's Singapore style spicy noodles. Again bland. The ingredients all look fresh but the dishes lack so much in flavor. I have seen such slot of people at lunch time on a Saturday enjoying meals inside. They always look great. Could anyone please confirm that I'm not the only one who feels this way about this noodle bar? I really want to like it but just can't based on four experiences.

The food here is amazing. Being a lover of Thai food this is right up my street. There is a huge number of choices and the portions are enormous. This time I chose to eat in but there is obviously the take away availability.

Never eaten here before .could microwave them in 2 minutes the chef said as I wanted to eat them later .2 boxes £10 food was fantastic .simple menu to understand & noodle box was fully loaded .well recommended .

We noticed this place months ago but we were a little put off because it seemed more like a take-out and it wasn't clear how the whole thing worked. However I went yesterday with a friend who had tried it and raved about the food. It is actually very simple. They have a wide array of noodles in sauce (eg green Thai curry, sweet and sour) and you just pick the type of meat you would like with it (or not if you just want veggie). I had the red curry (2 for heat) and it was wonderful. spicy but only enough to make your nose run which was perfect for me. My friend had the sweet /sour which she also rated very highly. This will definitely be my favourite eating place in Oswestry. Oh yes there are tables so you can eat in as well. A small plate (which was plenty) was £4.40, so excellent value. Tap water is free on request and lots of bottled drinks available. They also sell lots of noodles/sauces as well.

Lucky to have this shop/takeaway in Oswestry. Prices high compared to Asian supermarkets but given the distance locals would need to travel for same this is fab. Takeaway food and eat in is brill.Staff always helpful with recipe ideas.

Had a take away from here this evening and was very impressed with the the quality and quantity of food! Singapore chicken fried rice was lovely, well cooked chips and nice curry. Will definitely be retuning soon

OK, not easy to find, but great food, great choice, cooked from scratch, great prices. Always friendly service. If the Shropshire weather interferes then they have a small eat-in area - but mostly this is street food. Remember to put your rubbish in a bin !

lovely little place to either eat in or takeaway. Delicious fresh cooked to order. Brilliant varied menu. Staff are always smiling and helpfull. We will be back soon.

not much seating, tucked away off a side street(by wilcos) but brilliant food. A good range of Asian food/specialities, those trendy American type cardbox for the food, and chopsticks. Parking is a pain, but if there is a driver thay can usually hover in the street.

In part of my second review in this month I give you my second point review, after they have has change new owners I feel the food going grow and the taste is actually fantastic more then last time. I would like to go back and recon man for people in the area. Thank for thai food

Wide range of variety, something for everyones taste. Even after the walk home the food was hot, and incredibly flavorsome. The only down side is the price, slightly on the dear side, but even after saying that, for the efficient speedy service and the enjoyment of the meal.....you don't mind paying a little extra. Highly recommended

I fell in love with Thai food on a trip to its home, and so was delighted to find this place had opened up in Oswestry. Haven't got further than the pad thai yet, but it is delicious. Pay an extra 20p and eat in, from a plate, in a civilised fashion. the 'small' is plenty for me and as you will note from my other reviews I like my food. also selling Asian staples now so keep an eye out for what's on the shelves.highly recommended - next to Wilkinsons on the site of the old sunbed shop. Thai food is far healthier than sunbeds!

So fantastic to have a noodle bar in Oswestry. The range of foods is fantastic, and you can have it as spicy or plain as you like. Delicious.

Being miles from a Wagamama we always found the lack of a good noodle bar a big negative in this area. Tams changes that with great authentic food all freshly cooked and very reasonably priced. Sit in or takeaway.

I gave this Noodle bar a try today, when my husband and I popped out for lunch together. The service was friendly, the lady spoke good English and had a cheerful smile. There was a good selection of Thai food available including rice dishes. Being vegetarian I ordered noodles with vegetables and sweet chilli sauce, my husband had duck noodles. Both were yummy, piping hot, the veg was crisp and fresh not wilted or overcooked. Also it was the same price to eat in or take away, the only difference being that it was free to eat from the box but there was a small charge 20p if you wanted a plate. We ate from the box, I cant imagine why you would need a plate anyway and there was free plastic cutlery. The shop also sold a variety of interesting Thai drinks alongside coke etc.. and a selection of Thai food products and sauces. The venue itself wasn't a posh restaurant, more of a take away but there was tables and chairs so you could eat in and also clean toilet facilities with nice themed decoration. Price wise it was about £4 for a small box of noodles which was a generous portion our lunch for two, including drinks came to about £10, no more than a normal cafe, and was a lovely change from the usual panini or jacket potato! I will definitely be visiting here again, perhaps taking my teenage daughter and her friend for an affordable treat. Interestingly they also had gluten free rice noodles on the menu so it could be a possibility a Coeliac could eat there if the sauce was checked. Overall and great place to eat.

Tried this place for first time. usually go to trythai in wrexham which is excellent. had pad thai so I could compare the two places.prices are the same. In Tams there are no sauces, crushed peanuts, chilli flakes, garlic, etc available to add to the food. With thai food this is essential - it is how you are able to season the food to your personal taste. I asked for peanuts and was given some but it seemed like a nuisance (could be language barrier rather than frostiness).Food was okay, just noodles and chicken and a couple of tough cabbage leaves and very little sauce. would normally add some thick soy sauce and chilli with the peanuts, but didn't dare ask for it! Overall not great and not a patch on trythai. will give it another try but they need some condiments and a smile!! maybe they need to go to wrexham and see how the other place does it.

Very tasty freshly cooked boxes of noodles with good variety in the menu. We ate in but next time I will take a box home after my shopping ready for an easy supper. Innovative for Oswestry and deserves to do well

Had a takeaway from here a while back when it first opened and was disappointed then because the food was bland and just warm. Thought it might be teething problems so went back for a sit down meal recently. Unfortunately food was no better and sitting in meant we now had poor service to add to the experience. Prices reasonable but won't be going back or recommending to friends.
