Me and a friend went out for lunch and found this tea room on Google, we were both so pleased we came! Such a lovely welcome and so friendly. Our food was made fresh to serve as we sat with a perfect cuppa! Would 100% recommend and would also love to return! Thank you for such lovely service.

We visited for the first time this morning with two of our brood. Elliot's bacon, egg and tomato sandwich was beyond excellent! My husband and I agree it was done to perfection and the best we have ever had. A wonderful, friendly community feel and the meeting the baby owl was a bonus! Can't recommend highly enough! :)

The Talking Teapot at Holly Cottage Farm in Tollerton is a super wee place. It’s decidedly on the cosy side, with a couple of tables inside and a few others outside, some under a gazebo. On the hottest day since records began we were glad of a pot of fine tea accompanied by very good cakes - toffee apple and lemon and blueberry. Essential food or a luxury accompaniment? Just think of the Vitamin C and tuck in. Service was charming and, as we live nearby, we look forward to coming again.

Yes, it's a very small cafe in a shed - but a very nice shed. Only 3 tables so very cosy and all the better for it. The coffee was very decent and extremely well priced. The food was very limited but very nice indeed. My wife had a slice of cake which she declared was very good and I had an excellent sausage roll. Soup was bubbling away and smelling very appetising but it was just a little early for our lunch. The shelves held preserves and pickles made locally along with honey. There was also home made wooden nick nacks for sale and outside a collection of small conifers and fuchsias. Worth a visit. Good snacks, excellent coffee and lovely prompt, friendly service.

We called on spec today for a quick lunch prior to visiting friends in the area. The welcome was friendly. Staff and customers were most welcoming to our two little dogs. How nice this was. The food was most acceptable . Decent-sized portions and a lovely selection of seasonal vegetables. Pity not all pubs are so accommodating.

Quirky little coffee shop with great food. Small carpark, but street parking available. Popular with walkers and cyclists.

I came here for lunch and a brew, ordered the bacon Brie panini, a cake and a pot of tea. It's a lovely cafe with hard working friendly staff. I've been a couple of times before when passing through Thirsk so knew the food would be good, which it was. The panini was really nice, I would give 5* but always think (and especially this time of year) that a bacon and bri panini should come with cranberry sauce. I'll definitely be back though the next time I'm passing through.

Had a very pleasant brunch here with my wife; waffle with caramelised banana and maple syrup, and a cheese and ham croissant. Both very tasty. Very friendly service. Located right on the town square. Happy to recommend.
