A friend and I called in for late lunch/ early tea on 18th July on our way to the Baths Halls. What a marvellous experience. It was fairly quiet as expected at that time (it got progressively busier). But the service was superb, engaging and pleasant. As was the food. We had a starter of squid (looked delicious) while I had ham egg and chips. Beautiful ham, perfect eggs and very very nice chips. My friend then had a lovely looking pud. Complete with half a cider and 4 soft drinks and the bill was under £23. The building is fascinating, everywhere was immaculate and the loos were super. I would most definitely go back.

We came for our end of term school meal, and after some fun team building activities in the afternoon we finished at this lovely place. The meal was booked for 3.30 but 2 of our teams were running late. The staff were excellent and happy to wait until we all arrived. The food was delicious and great value. All the staff were very friendly and keen to chat and asked us about our afternoon. We would all recommend this place for their great food and lovely atmosphere. Well done everyone

Absolutely shocking. This has been mine and my partner favorite place to eat until now. Over priced for food that's shocking and bought from the supermarket. Main course couldn't even cut the beef with a knife and gave up. Table had things crawling over it. In a nut shell Totallyshocking you wouldn't serve that to a homeless man as hed throw it back at you . Not be going back again until they have a new chef.

Visited for Sunday lunch on Fathers Day after hearing some good reviews from friends. I had the roast beef, my wife had the Lamb & mint pie and my sons had lasagne and a goat burger. The food was absolutely fantastic, amazing service and very reasonably priced. I didn't have a dessert but the others did and said they were delicious. We will definitely be back. ten out of ten!

Visited this 'lovely' cafe today for breakfast. Nice surroundings, nice staff, BUT, the food was shocking, had to send food back several times to be cooked properly, snotty eggs, menu said bloomer but

Nice spot, adequate tea and coffee, decent bacon sandwich but not a good tuna baguette. Baguette half cooked, cheap nasty tuna, tasteless, took it home for the dog and at £5 very expensive for cheap q

Popped over to Scunthorpe for a change of scenery and was in need of a post shopping pick-me-up. The Columbia Cafe has a good location just off the main shopping area. Went in fancying just a coffee..
