Taja in Poole

This is NOT Indian cuisine as we know it! We shall never return to Taja nor recommend to anyone. Steer clear and save your money!!

Ordered samosas, Chicken pakora, chicken balti and lamb chilli chicken. Positives: Food delivered slightly before estimated delivery time and arrived warm, Rice and naan were good. Negatives: Samosas came with a crispy pastry but over oily filling without much spice. Chicken pakoras were like a roulette. Some cooked well. Others like rubber. Chicken balti was edible, but not much meat, mostly sauce and not much spice. The worse part of the meal was the lamb chilli chicken. The lamb was dry, tough and vile. Impossible to chew let alone swallow. We actually couldn’t eat it and threw it away. I would never ever order from here again. Waste of money and calories.

Ignore the bad reviews from people who have only used Taja once as we have used this takeaway many times and have never been disappointed, always tastes fresh and with the midweek specials this is definitely always my 1st choice. There is very good variety In the menu and the family who run the business are very nice people. The food is very tasty and much better quality than other take aways that cost more this place is definitely the best value takeaway I know

so decided to use here why on hoilday in the area. best descion ever the food was amazing really good test flavour and the best Indian takeaway i have had well worth using and delivered our food early

We order from this takeaway regularly, great service, and tasty !! The midweek taster offer is excellent value for money and would easily feed 3 or 4 people!!

Ordered our food at 8.00 p.m. and it was finally delivered at 10.10 p.m. One of our guests had left as she was travelling early in the morning so her food was wasted. When I complained to the delivery man he laughed at me and when I finally got through to the shop the next day, their customer service was appalling! The reaction I got was 'not our problem', 'we were very busy', 'go ahead and write a bad review, many people complain' and this was while they were busy putting the phone down on me twice. It amazes me how people run business's nowadays when there is such alot of competition and I will be using their competition from now on!

Tuvimos una comida para llevar aquí hace un mes. . Era tan malo que tuve que llamar y decir algo. Hablé con la gerencia y la próxima vez que dijo llamar y asegurarse de que todo es excelente la próxima vez.Llamé hoy a mencionar lo que sucedió la última vez. De repente no me pudo entregar en mi zona. Y como le dije que era una queja anterior. . No me sorprende. . . y el gerente colgaron! ! No el director, igual que la última vez aunque.Evita este lugar a menos que quieras la peor comida india que hayas tenido. . Sugiero visitar hart de la India u hasta la carretera. Siempre un buen curry.

By far one of the best indian takeaways in the area would highly recommend, food is always spot on and filled with flavours. Service is also very good and has never let me down.

This is my local and I honestly wouldn't go elsewhere, have been let down by a lot of Indians in the forest area but this one never fails to deliver :)

The restaurant was attractive the staff attentive and most of the food was good if over priced. That said the contents of the "prawn balti" were questionable and I had an upset stomach the next day. Would not recommend it.
