Table Table Pentrebach House in Merthyr Tydfil

Decided to call in for a quick Dinner after shopping at Cyfarthfa Retail Park, as we had to pass on the way home. The food selection was good, there was a 2 meals for £11 offer but we chose from the main menu. We didn't have starters or dessert. I had the smothered chicken it was tasty and the portion size was good, there could have been a little more bacon, but I enjoyed. Family members had Battered fish and chips, and Chicken and Ham pie and chips. We all enjoyed our meals and theywere good value for money. We were served by Rachel C. She was very patient, helpful, polite and efficient.

Staying at the nearby premier inn and had an evening meal and drinks in the bar. Great friendly service from Andrea at the bar.

Had a nice meal after shopping on a weekday evening. Good menu selection. Ordered from the main menu. I had the chicken and ham pie, which was very tasty. All meals were good value for the money. Good service throughout the evening from Rachel C. She was very helpful.

5, we travelled from the NE, we were tired and needed some decent food and to be looked after. Caitlin did exactly what we needed. Amazing service

We managed to book a table for valentines day and me and hubby were skeptical but they had a great valentines menu 3 courses for 18.99 Lovely welcome and really kind table service All food was hot and tasted wonderful. We left there will smiles and full bellies really enjoyed the evening. Highly recommended 👌

I'm always visiting Pentrebach House every week with my Daughter and Sister in Law and we always have amazing service from Andrea. She always makes the best cocktails as my Daughter would say.

Went out for my grandfathers birthday today, fantastic food and brilliant service by all staff, we were served by Rachel Lovely music playing in the background, will definitely be coming back

Pleasantly surprised. Loosa a little run down from outside but inside is huge and nicely decorated. We were seated promptly without booking. Food arrived within less than 10 minutes of ordering and was lovely. Our service was great, servers checked in a few times and were extremely polite and friendly. Servers were Dionne and Rachel.

Lovely night with 8 friends last night food was good we all enjoyed. Can we just say a huge thanks to Rachel who as always is top of her game. Always so friendly and always remembers what we have from week to week nothing is too much trouble for her she's always happy to help at the same time going us private time...star employee xx

What a lovely warm welcome we had tonight from Elizabeth very friendly and polite . She came to out table several times to speak to us to make sure we were happy thank you so much Elizabeth we will definitely be back .

Was informed on arrival new chef and any issues to speak to someone. Never before have I had any issues the breakfast has always been amazing until today. Egg whites was still raw, black pudding wasn't cooked, mushrooms was rock hard, it was just inedible....

Yet again, a great breakfast with very quick and super service. A special mention to Liza who was very nice and nothing was too much trouble. I come here every time I visit the area for walking in the hills.

A place to avoid ! On arrival you are met with a building that looks tired and in disrepair. Had a wonderful waitress the first night but downhill from then. Very cold restaurant, mediocre food and poor service. We ended up clearing our plates ourselves....

Where to start, soon as I walked on could feel the friendly vibes from the server (Liza) which carries on through the stay. Helped with my booking that I made wrong, quick service show that she is happy and experienced in her job. Thanks for being great with the kids. Just popped in on the off chance they were so very friendly and helpful, we have a three coarse meal which all were perfect, but most of all they serving staff was polite helpful each coarse we were asked if thing were ok and Liza B who looked after us I could not speak more highly of her what a lovely person she is. We recently had a lovely family meal at the Pentrebach House for a family birthday. Food was served piping hot and quickly and our waitress was great. The prices here are fantastic. We will be back.
