waited ages to be seated, had to then go order at bar as no-one came to table, food took forever to arrive and then didn't see a staff member after that point. Starters were good, main meals were appalling, not only over or undercooked, completely unseasoned and really quite tasteless. I have never left a steak uneaten until now. The only good thing about all the mains was that they were warm. If that had been my first visit I would not return. Food has always been ok here, and staff have always been friendly and attentive in past so not sure what's happened to change that. Barman was good though

Poor service , under average food. Staff unhelpful and rude. Food quality very poor, over cooked and basic. Service poor, we had to chase the service team for help. I would not recommend this pub Dirty cutlery, no napkins. Breakfast a joke with long wait for food and long lines for coffee

Absolutely awful food. We stayed in the premier inn and rather than travel went next door to eat. We ordered the TANDOORI CHICKEN MIXED GRILL and The Beef pie. The beef pie seemed to have been microwaved. The beef was chewy fatty and stringy. The Mash was stodge and the green beans frozen and whacked in a microwave. The Tandoori chicken mixed grill consisted of a piece of ' what appeared to be chicken breast' with no flavour it was more processed frozen breast we think. A little piece of beef and 2 sausages.. Add in 2 samosas a poppadum and say its Tandoori chicken if you like. I heard one of the bar staff say ' Yes Chef' when asked something. I mean 'Chef' really? Got a discount as I'm NHS staff but still the worse 40 quid I've ever spent in my life. Go somewhere else. Shocking.

Staying at the adjacent hotel fro the week and decided to eat on Monday evening after a long day. Chicken wings starter was nice. My choice of mains (meat skewers) had ran out, so i asked for the mixed grill instead. It was 40+ mins after my starter when I had to ask the barman what was happening with my main. i also pointed out that no one had cleared away the finished starter. When my mixed grill arrived it had a shabby appearance. The mushrooms were chopped small and tasted like tinned ones and the peas were looking aged and yellow. The meat was basic and bland, so overall a disappointing meal and wait. i ate elsewhere the rest of the week.

Horrendous. The manageress greeted us with a face that said "oh jeez. More customers? When will this hell end". No smile. No eye contact. Chairs at the table were covered in stains. Stains where no attempt to scrub them clean had been made. The food looked like yesterday's warm ups. I'd have complained but was with daughter, son in law and two children and we'd just had a long drive. Think they just wanted a break from driving. Shame nobody ate their food. This place was known to be good when it was a TableTable restaurant. You learn by your mistakes. #neveragain #wasrobbed

First of all this was a quiet meal out for me and my wife, 20 years and one day ago she said 'i do'. the waiting staff are excellent especially Jacky who needless to say was left a tip, we ordered the Christmas dinner of roast turkey and and most of the trimmings, the meal itself was edible but lacked the the feel of quality ingredients, i'm pretty sure the sprouts (which i love normally, yes i'm odd) were of the Elisa and Anna type (frozen) my wife said let it go, let it go but i could not hold back anymore... i did ask Jacky who assured me they were fresh and steamed? obviously steaming is not good fro brussels? it makes them look and taste like frozen Brussels?? in short if i wanted to pop to Iceland (not the country) or Farm Foods i too could rustle up something of restaurant quality... if you do go i can highly recommend bringing your own Brussels...

Food very average and quite expensive when compared to comparable eateries in the area. Wouldn't be a place I would rush back to.

We used to eat regularly at this restaurant but last 2 visits standards have gone downhill and we didn't enjoy our food at all. Some of us ordered chicke burgers and the salad leaves were very old and not suitable to feed animals, after complaining they offered few lettuce leaves in a plate. Mixed grills were cold and small pieces of meat that you don't know what is what. The waitress was very nice and kept appologising. Atmosphere was good.

This is a reasonably priced restaurant which is part of the Premier. The food is well cooked but pretty standard fayre for that sort of place. Its reasonably priced so if you are on a budget its good for that...

Booked a table for four as we were staying in the premier inn next door. Friendly staff. Was very busy but food came out quick enough and was nice to eat. Just nice pub food. Didn't cook my steak to how I asked but who can. Don't think there is an English waitress in there but not that it matters

We visited yesterday for dinner after a good day out with our 5 year old daughter. Food choice was good, food itself was ok and service was friendly and efficient. No booking was needed, we just turned up and found a table straight away.

We visited The Warrener on Sunday afternoon and the main meal was disappointing. my husband choose Cod and Chips and unfortunately the batter was overdone, it was flying everything. The waiter did offer to get another piece but was declined as it would have meant him eating after mine. The service was very quick and we had completed a starter and main meal in 30 minutes.

My mother and I arrived for lunch on Saturday. Firstly we were shown to a dirty table, rings from cups and salt or possibly sugar. As my mother has a walker and had taken her coat off and sat down I didn’t ask to be moved but cleaned the table myself with antibacterial wipes I always carry. We ordered drinks and food which you have to pay for upfront so no opportunity to refuse to pay. The drinks arrived, one of which was a bottle of water but no glass. I asked for a glass which the waiter came back with. The glass was dirty. I waited until the food arrived and asked for a clean glass. No apology was given for bringing me a dirty one. My mother had loaded fries at £11. Well I could see the crispy onions, crispy because they were those dried ones you buy in tubs in the supermarket, but no sign of any cheese. I started to eat my bacon, Brie and red onion chutney panini. Well I had bacon. I looked inside for the Brie. There was a sort of stain which was obviously the Brie. I’ve never managed to cut a slice of Brie that thin myself, I suspect they could see through it when they lifted it up. As for the chutney, I found a few soggy bits of tasteless brown stuff. I noticed my mother poking her chips about and asked her what she was doing, she said ‘looking for the cheese’. I asked if she’d found any and she said ‘not really’. She pushed the bowl away and said her legs were cold. We had been sat in front of the entrance and the draft was awful. I asked her if she wanted to go and she was out of her chair faster than I’ve seen someone of 88 move in a long time. All in all a most unpleasant lunch. £11 for a bowl of chips and dried onion, and £10.50 for a bacon roll. Very poor indeed.
