They don't accept reservations It is better to arrive around 10 AM or noon on a busy weekend so that tables are available quickly Outdoor and indoor seating available Indoor seating has tables for two which can't be joined together and bench for 4-6 people Seating is quite congested Vegetarian and non vegetarian entrees. Order at the register Service is fairly quick Servings are good and most dishes are cooked well Price moderate

Food is really good! Menu has a variety of vegan choices. My first time in Amersham and I had a fantastic lunch in this place. Even in my Asian heart, got a choice on their list. Presentation of food was all beautiful and service was timely. Definitely going back for their spritz too! The ambiance was perfect for countryside feels! Their place aint only for long-time locals but for nomads who just sits and enjoys the food with a view of their street. Lastly, their people skill are their forte. ❤🍴

We had an amazing breakfast, one bacon breakfast and a delicious vegan fry up. The hash browns were incredible and the pineapple smoothie was so good! The Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Went in with three friends for a meeting. Order taken by a efficient staff member of staff and service was very quick. Very bright airy atmosphere inside with minimal but effective interior decoration. Positive comments by us all as to drink quality. One of us had a meal with looked very good. A local independent outlet that deserves another visit. Certainly an improvement on the chain outlets in Amersham.

Heard good things about this cafe for breakfast. Really disappointed everything came out late and then only three out of four. Had to ask for the fourth coffee and fourth breakfast. Food was ok, poached egg over poached everything else ok. Would have been nice to eat it all together They offered us free cake which was kind but ultimately we just wanted a good breakfast together

A really lovely brunch today at the Sycamore. The space is lovely and light, and we had a really warm welcome from the friendly staff. The food was just gorgeous - the full breakfast ciabatta will keep my husband going till supper time! My granola was yummy (and smugly healthy!). We will definitely be back. Thanks for a fab breakfast.

We visited for lunch twice in two weeks. On both occasions the front of house service was excellent, the choice of food was really interesting, and the drinks were excellent. When the food came it was hot, very well presented indeed and delicious. Unfortunately on one occasion we were given entirely the wrong food but we did not know this because we did not know how it would be presented. They apologised and it was no problem but we felt bad for the people whose food we ate and thus had to wait longer.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality and choices available at this little eatery, which seems to be very popular. Service was excellent, food was delicious. Will return on next visit to Amersham.

Came here after a breakup and blubbered my order to the very understanding young lady at the till. Food served nicely and really nice range of alternative milks, a perfect distraction from a rubbish week. Made better with fantastic service. Worth the price, coffee is quality brand and quite rich- something to bear in mind if you're used to Costas usual roasting. Busy but not too loud, and friendly for children and animals. Thanks Stella for the best pick-me-up coffee! I hope you get a promotion.

Since it opened, Sycamore has become one of my favourite go-to brunch and lunch spots in the Bucks area. The decor is top notch, the staff is friendly and competent, and the coffee is aces. I will drive all the way to Amersham *just* to drink their matcha latte (with coconut milk), it is so good! If you’re looking for something healthy, go with the black daal bowl or the sweet potato/beets/broccoli hummus mix. If comfort food is what you’re after, then the fried chicken burger will rock your world. And, if you’re looking for something down then middle, then the avo and eggs toast with bacon (or sub in halloumi) will fit the bill! Fancy a coffee and cake, then the pear and almond cake will change your life! Thank you to the staff and owners of Sycamore for bringing out such a gem on the restaurant market!

Called here fir a late lunch. Very pleasantly surprised by the menu. I don’t usually go fir chicken, but the chicken burger was fantastic. The fries, rosemary salted, we’re beyond fabulous. Will definitely go here again, if only for the fries.

Went for a light Sunday lunch. We were surprised by the excellent food, a real refreshing change. I had a broccoli bowl, which had fried broccoli with lentils and was truly excellent. My girlfriend had something different, which was also very tasty. My coffee was very good, too. We had a cake which turned out to be mouldy in the middle, but I would put this down as a 'one-off' - I would still go back there. Now, the strange thing. This place has been open a few months, it took ages before it had a name. Now it has a name, but from the outside it gives no indication what it sells. Peer in through the door and you can see a coffee/tea menu, nothing else. Yes, you can see some cakes, but no indication as to the fact that it does breakfasts or lunch. And there are no opening times on the outside, either. I am sure 100s of people pass by every day, without any idea of what they offer. How difficult/expensive would it be to sellotape up the menu onto the window, along with the opening times? They must lose so much business in a town full of coffee shops, basic marketing knowledge is lacking. On a Sunday lunchtime, when their two nearest competitors are closed, they are missing a trick. If you have a good product - which they have - you need to tell people about it . it was not even half-full when we went.

Visited about two weeks ago as promised a friend to taje her for lunch. Lots of people on laptops, drinking coffee, occupied the seats, but we eventually found a space. The staff were charming but the food was generally ghastly...in fact I was quite embarrassed that I had taken a friend there for lunch. The open sandwiches we both ordered were soggy, with mounds of mayonnaise being the predominate taste...very disappointing. I shall not be returning....

Went here as we are huge fans of The Pantry in Hazlemere which is the sister cafe to this place, so fancied a change. Came here for lunch and they have 4/5 different tartines (open sandwiches) I had the confit chicken with pickled onions, boiled egg, bacon and slaw as well as a side of truffle Parmesan fries. The food came out very promptly and was filling, tasty and would thoroughly recommend. If you like The Pantry in Hazlemere, you will love this - superb! The food

Went with some friends for a Sunday morning breakfast. Had some coffee and tea, and the food was amazing. The flavour is just melting in your mouth, you can tell it's good quality food and staff is very friendly and have good suggestions. The eggs were perfectly cooked to my taste, and my boyfriend had the breakfast flatbread that had a interesting harrisa kick to it. Good place for having something different.

Sycamore is a great addition to the Amersham cafe scene. No name sign up outside but look for the muted salmon pink paintwork. Inside seating is at small or long tables. There are a few seats outside for the occasional sunny day. Light, bright furniture and friendly, informal feel. Order at the counter, trying (in my case unsuccessfully) to resist the highly tempting cakes. The menu is short, a couple of salads, and flatbreads. These flatbreads are spectacular. I loved the fried spicy chicken thighs with harissa dressing and a green herby dressing as an extra (instead of garlic mayo, not for me but a swap was willingly offered). Copious amounts of salad on a thick but fluffy flatbread made this a perfect lunch. Having not resisted the cake, I tucked into a lemon crunch. This was delicious, with creamy sharp lemon filling topped with something light and sugary. Unhealthy, but the flatbread made up for that. Finished off with Darjeeling from a wide choice of teas (more than 2 cups in the pot).I was slightly disconcerted by the fact that lunch was to be eaten off a tray standing in for a plate, and embarrassed myself by checking that this was correct. My view is that plates are better, but then I don’t like eating off slate tiles either!Total bill with service (voluntary) was £14. The staff team were friendly and polite, and helpful. I will be back soon.

We are regulars at The Kitchen Larder and Rachel and the team have continued to maintain their very high standards. Most food is locally grown or sourced and is of a very high quality. We normally order and collect to eat at home and can recommend the Smoked Avo, Salmon and egg salad! We have also used the Kitchen Larder for Corporate Catering and the food selection and presentation was outstanding. The KL also has a stunning selection of small scale producer sourced foods. A must visit if you are a visitor to the Chalfonts.

Excellent. I had a delicious lamb casserole (with mint sauce - beef casserole also available), some tasty bubble & squeak and two lovely Yorkshire puds and a fresh pot of tea - all for £9.00. Amazing value and quality, the retro atmosphere is perfectly curated for a great experience, absolutely recommended.

Loved the Salmon and the Pork Belly on the new Friday/Saturday menu tonight. Every bit the plates we loved at evenings in Brazils!
