Sweet Ice Cream Lounge in New Forest

Late afternoon visit on a lousy weather day with the grandchildren after school Quiet level of business but atmosphere Ok & the one team member very helpful , efficient & effective. Range of ice creams not up to their normal high number but quality & presentation of over 20 flavours anyway was good The pancakes / seasonal waffles & cones that we all had the good fortune to order were all delicious Service level was good & the seating areas clean & comfortable enough for a short stay. Overall ? - good news despite the premises / fixtures & fittings starting to look jaded / dated Value ? - as expected , not bad Re-visit ? - yes.

We always have amazing ice cream at Sweet! The variety of flavours is brilliant and always tastes really yummy and freshly made. I especially love it as they have clear labels for the gluten free ice cream which is safe to eat. I had the chocolate brownie flavour and it was gluten free - amazing!! Lots of seating too and a great atmosphere!

Amazing place, fantastic range of choice and particularly impressed with the range of gluten free options! Our favourite place for a treat!

We visited today for lunch and had savoury crepes followed by ice cream. The portions are huge and very good value for money. The savoury crepes were delicious and the vegan special was excellent. The sundaes were also delicious and the staff very friendly. The restaurant is very clean and contemporary in style.

We popped in for a Easter special. All staff friendly and helpful. Ice cream lush. Whole place spotless.

The staff are really helpful and welcoming. My friends had the easter special and i has the millionaire shortbread sundae. All were delicious. We shall be back.

I go to sweet every Sunday with my friend who DownS syndrome the staff are so nice really friendly and so helpful. Also love the ice cream and nice coffee.

Very vegan menu. Vegan and kids friendly. It is true that you can smell oil burn from crepes in all the restaurant, but it making me sure that crepes are freshly prepared. There are no pictures, on the walls or even in the menu how your dessert will look like on the plate when served. So I was nicely surprised that frappe is served in drink jar with plastic straw. Anyway there is variety of different dessert in both menus, but as we know most of us are eating with our eyes rather than imagination. So I would suggest to better know what we like rather to be not sure what to eat. Place is nice, cosy, clean, tonned colors and all that is making to be place for different age people, has separated area where you can choose where want to have a sit, colourful chairs, bar stools or leather sofas. I would like to suggest to hang pictures maybe wallpaper of ice creams and desserts which are made in your restaurant, savoury - surprised there is sub menu with sovoury menu. Just found them in menu. But there is not busy restaurant with plenty of space. Will come again and try something new. Maybe some kind of 'chef's special' or 'dessert of the day' for not decided and not sure what to eat person would help! Definitely will visit again.

Great friendly staff, nice setup and good ice cream, but the there was a strong smell of stale cooking oil in the place I found somewhat overwhelming. Kind of spoilt it as the place was otherwise clean, staff friendly and the shop layout is great. No idea how you can have a greasy spoon smell in an ice cream parlour!

Was really impressed by the three young girls managing the store on a Saturday, we all enjoyed our waffles/crepes but the service was great, such warm and friendly staff, we will definitely be returning

I love the sweet treat crepes that I would recommend if you have sweet tooth and the price isn't bad either 😊

So many different flavours to choose from nice to be able to sit down the Children just love it for 'good behaviour treats!

Came here after a disappointing meal out and was thoroughly impressed. There were two people working out front and they handled our order for a table of 6 perfectly whist doing other orders. All the food came out at the same time after a short wait and it was delicious!! Will defiantly come back.

Lovely ice cream with the children, huge selection of ice cream (gelato) and also a whole vegan menu (if that is your thing). Modern setting and lots seating.

There are many alternatives out there but sweet is up with the best The ice cream, sundaes and waffles are amazing If there was one complaint it is that the dishes are too big. Nice problem to have

We visited in the holidays so it was very busy we Waited 25 minutes, it was very tasty but such a long wait!

Waffles and milkshakes are very good but will probably put you off ice cream for a while...big portion size and very rich.

Tried last week for the first time after seeing a few posts about this place. I can't say I'd go again. My waffle was soggy due to the heat and being put straight onto the plate meaning I had to try mopping up the liquid with tissues. Friend had a sundae which didn't look appetising as it had mixed too much. Hard cheap seats too

Llamado en un viaje a Southampton, buena selección de sabores tuve bakewell cherry y millonario quebradiza y mi pareja tenía Ferrero Rocher y 4 sabores salados Carmel todos dieron en el clavo. Sin duda llamar en la próxima vez que esté en Southampton.

Went here with my partner and housemates as a reward for finishing our essays after a very stressful term at the University. All I can say is that I can't wait to go back! I had the Cookie Monster milkshake which looks unbelievable and tastes like it too. I also had a bite of my partners crepe which I am definitely getting the next time we go and a bite of my flatmates waffle. Staff seemed a bit off in their customer service but pleasant enough. The decor is very modern. Officially going to be my favourite place to eat in Winchester and excited to get pudding there soon!Thank you

A really different & clean interior consisting of dark laminate floors and blue & white walls....very effective.Pleasant & polite staff & good food including hot savory crepes.

Mid morning visit, we ordered two crepes, one sweet and one savoury. Both were well presented, and tasty, very good value for money. We were the only customers in during our visit.

Fancy putting this shop in a place that I regularly walk past its to tempting for me I have always been a great fan of luscious delicious Ice cream this place TOPS the lot (see what I did there) any thing you would need Mars bar is my best flavor but the smarties is great

I come here with my family and friends quite regularly, the waffles and crepes are to die for as are the milkshakes. The staff are friendly and are happy to make you something that isn't on the menu. Would definitely recommend

I think my picture says it all really! I've always visited sprinkles and well what can I say; Sweet, you have officially put them to shame! I had the crepe with strawberries, raspberries, Nutella, white chocolate, crushed Oreos, ice cream AND whipped cream! Not once have I ever finished a crepe in sprinkles and I devoured this delicious one from Sweet! The staff were ever so accommodating and the atmosphere is a cut above the rest (especially the mood lighting). Well done guys - you've opened up a new world of ice cream for me :) You'll be seeing me very soon!!

What a way to have a meeting. We decided to go here instead of the usual pubs etc and we're we in for a treat. I have the Love Chocolate sundae and my colleagues had the Crunchienone , Eton Mess and Mint Chic Chip. They were delicious. Just the right amount. Any more and I would have exploded. Will have to go back to try others.

Been here about 5 times now and never had a bad service, ice cream, waffles and crepes are all to die for! much better than Sprinkles! our most recent trip was the evening of Monday 16th May, arrived at 8:30 and didn't leave until 9:45, sorry about that! we didn't realise that the place closed at 9. So thank you to the girls working for being so kind to us and thank you for taking a photo of our group for us :)

Really nice menu with good quality ingredients being served. The dark chocolate vegan sundae was loaded with fresh fruit and tasted luuuvly!About £7 for waffles or £5 -7 for sundaes.Will definetely got there again. In fact we've been twice in 2 weeks already.Great atmosphere and always enough people in there to make it feel cosy but not overly full like most ice cream places.Only downside was the handwash in the toilet needed replacing.

Really nice clean decor. Very friendly staff. We had sundaes,waffles,milkshakes and coffee and everything was perfect! Great for all ages. High chairs,boosters,colouring pages and baby changing provided.Choose a comfy sofa or a dining chair and table. Great choices at reasonable prices.

We recently visited sweet. The whole experience was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They variety of menu options were impressive and suitably priced. The range of seating options allow for the different styles of meeting up. The setting is child friendly and very welcoming. The setting is spacious and allows families to 'spread out.' The Venus appeared clean and staff regularly checked tables and removed clutter off of tables.

My son had the waffles, which were freshly made to order & was able to change his topping because he doesn't like cream. It looked delicious, didn't taste it because he scoffed it all. Husband & I had 2 scoops of ice cream which was also delicious. Very well priced.

I've been walking past this site for years and last year I watched eagerly as the old blockbusters was emptied and Sweet Ice Cream Lounge was built. I was so impressed with the way it was presented from the outside that I actually thought it was a chain restaurant! But no, it's independent and credit where it's due, this really is a fantastic place and it's something that Totton has needed for many years! Anyway a year after it opened I finally made my first trip inside and truth be told, it did live up to its billing. It was very quiet which makes a change from other gelatos in Southampton, and the prices and quality of food are very competitive as well. There are tables, stool seating and sofas which makes for a very relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a car park next door too! Would recommend to any age group and group size. Thanks!PS I like how the old blockbuster "videos" sign has been preserved above the Staff area door... :D

service pretty good, not sure of all the additives in these treats tho taste lovely.. .. rather expensive I feel tho you can ask for smaller portions for kids ( dont believe thats advertised tho?)

A great addition to counter all the other food outlets in Totton.Far too many take-aways in Totton so nice to have somewhere a bit different for a sweet treat now and then-especially in the summer.

My lady and I went in there last week and were met with smiling faces from the staff/management. Excellent choice and an ultra cool environment...he food we had was just amazing. Treat yourself if youre in the area. You will not be disappointed.....

We have eaten here before and really liked the relaxed atmosphere and surroundings, so as my wife and I had the day off we decide to drop in for breakfast.I had the American pancakes with fresh fruit and maple syrup and my wife had a berry crepe, the service was great and the staff very friendly you could also add a cup of tea,coffe or orange juice as well for just a pound.This is just the place Totton needed and is a welcome alternative to the other gelato parlours in the area which can be a bit more manic.

Having been to other gelatos in recent years, I certainly don't believe in queuing out the door, but I would've as the coffee was brilliant. The ice cream was grest and I was impressed that they actually did a small child's size! (I'm usually having to downsize my little ones treat!)The place itself is spacious and clean, with oodles of seating.

Me and my family were coming back from some shopping and we saw the sweet was finally built,so we decided to give it a try. When we got inside,everything was just so amazing.There was nice lights,sofas,music,a nice fire place(not real fire) and the selection of ice cream flavours were so good . They also do drinks like Coke and Fanta etc-but they also do the ice cream flavour milkshakes ...but so much more things!

I was excited when I heard a 'sprinkles style' ice dream place was coming to totton (more interesting than most things here!) and upon visiting was not disappointed. Both visits we have sat down and had a waffle/sundae and both times they have been excellent and massive portions. Easily rivals sprinkles and for people around the area saves a drive to town for sprinkles!

There are lots of ice cream/gelato parlours popping up and Totton has got a great one. Staff are polite, it's clean and music not blaring out. The vegan sundae - raspberry and chocolate sorbets with fruit and rasp sauce is fantastic. I was just walking past today so thought it was rude not to stop :)

My partner and I stopped here on the way back from West Quay as we had been wanting to try it since it opened. We weren't disappointed. I had the raspberry and dark chocolate sorbet which was delicious! The fresh sauce on it was amazing and the flavours combined really well. I have even dreamt of it since! My partner had a waffle which was huge, this had nutella and banana on it and he struggled to finish it. We are so happy that Totton has somewhere like this and would definitely recommend it. Well done!

thought I would try this place as we usually enjoy scoops gelato and sprinkles . I only had my youngest daughter with me so ordered her the 2 scoop take away gelato . Was very surprised when we were given 2 of the smallest scoops known to man ! . Come on guys , I know it says per scoop but really ????.... in the other ice cream parlours we go to a scoop does not necessarily mean an actual scoop especially when you are going to charge over £3 for it . Way better value for money in scoops gelato ( portswood ) and sprinkles

I came with my friends after results day as a celebration. I had a scoop of mango sorbet for £2, at first this seemed quite steep however it was absolutely delicious and took me the same time to eat it as my friends that were eating large sundaes!

Just visited this new ice cream lounge and its a lovely place, awesome decor and great meeting place. Boys have just had waffles and I had a salmon/cheese crepe, we all had ice cream shakes and all food was lush. Service was great and efficient, the place was clean and tidy and I love that there's a choice of tables, sofas, bar stools etc. will be returning for sure x

Ice cream waffle cornets x 4 really yummy, crunchie, coffee 2 scoop, rarsberry, coconut and chocolate flavour yumm......Another person in our party of 5 had a waffle although it did take a while to materialise was worth the wait, helpful and friendly staff, air conditioned so lovely and cool, seating good too.

Last weekend I took my family to Sweet for a Saturday afternoon treat. Well, it was all of that! We were warmly greeted by the staff, shown to a table and left to peruse the menu. We all, five of us, opted for a varied selection, most of which was off menu! this wasn't a problem for them. Within 5 minutes the food started to arrive. It was delicious! Waffles, cones and tubs, all with a differing array of flavours and toppings! A hot waffle with ice cream slowly melting over it! Heaven! The experience wasn't cheap, but far from expensive. We met the owners during our visit, they were so friendly and discussed their new venture with such passion.

Treated my partner to his first sweet and for my third visit was far from disappointed as usual. So many choices and such tasty deserts. Savoury options available but I haven't yet tried these. Definitely a place to return to or just try once.

Wow! What a place!We just can't keep away...the choice of ice cream is vast, the menu extensive, and the service is great too.We love the lounge feel for a coffee to sit and relax, far better than Costa up the road. When bringing the kids along too we can then choose to sit at a table or the sofa.Welcome to Totton, Sweet! We'll be coming back.

Not being a fan of the biggest ice cream Gelato outlet in Southampton, I visited this with reservations. I was pleasantly surprised. The ice cream is gorgeous. Very friendly staff and a very well done out restaurant with a huge menu choice. It is refreshing to also see some lunch snacks on the menu for those who visit with ice cream fans but do not want ice cream themselves.

Visited Sweet this lunchtime to treat the kids and loved this place! Food was delicious & good value for what you get. The place has been done up really well with funky lights & good music! Friendly and efficient staff- will deffo visit again!

I was so pleased that the old site of blockbusters was turned into Sweet as these are all the rage now although slightly over priced in my opinion but they all are but a nice treat once in a while and the kids loved it !

This was my second visit to Sweet. The first one was when it had just opened and the service and the food was faultless. Today was the first time I have had a chance to go back and it was faultless once again. Service was prompt, with a smile and polite. I ordered the same thing I had the first time of millionaires shortbread crepe which is lush, today I had to admit defeat and I was unable to finish it. I tried a cappuccino today and I was not disappointed it was served perfectly and tasted good. My son had banana ice cream on a cone, which was a very good scoop size and he loved it. The crepe and the ice cream was served at the same time meaning we could eat together. This shop is exactly what Totton needed to bring it up to date and I can't wait to visit again.

It is nice to see another thriving business in Totton. My wife and I along with my 10 month old visited to give this venue a try. The selection was good and the Ice Cream was tasty. One thing of note is that the outside does look a little dark and sometimes isn't obvious that it is open.

Taste is good. Staff are brilliant though and place very clean. Overall, would recommend this place if you don't want to drive to town and if you want an ice cream parlor that you will get served right away and no waiting around.

Nice clean little place. The milkshakes are amazing but very over priced however i find this with all ice cream parlours.

Over priced,you get a lot more for your money in other ice cream parlour's.Clean and the staff are polite.

i had a huge sundae which was priced at £5.95 and my partner had a banana split which was the same price, it was a tiny banana with 2 scoops of ice cream and sauce. Don't understand that, the banana split should have been cheaper judging by the size. Other than that the desserts are lovely and it is really nicely done out.

Location ideal for us as we live nearby. Value for money, not so sure as more or less the same price as Sprinkles but the taste isn't as good.Staff are brilliant though and place very clean. Overall, would recommend this place if you don't want to drive to town and if you want an ice cream parlour that you will get served right away and no waiting around.

Great choice of icecream ! Chic modern chill out lounge with friendly staff .Not just sweets I had an excellent coffee so much nicer than Costa .Like to support the independents and this one deserves to do well .Will visit again next time we are in the uk .

I am an avid ice-cream fanatic and have to say that the ice-cream here was really rather nice! We kept it basic this time but will definitely be back to try the waffles as they looked so good :)The place itself is clean and tidy and there were a huge amount of staff available. The only criticism was that the service area is situated at the door and there was confusion about who was next and who was waiting to be served, its not ideal! Other than that, it was a lovely venue with good ice-cream!

Since it has opened I've been about 3 times and I still can't find a fault!! The staff are so friendly and helpful. And the ice cream looks and tastes so good! 10000% better then sprinkles and I'd recommend it to anyone. Being allergic to dairy I was amazed to find that they had a Chocolate sorbet that has no dairy in and still have such a strong chocolate taste. Love the fact that you can swap and change anything on the menu for whatever you want without a problem too! So clean and such a friendly atmosphere. Will defiantly be going back no doubt about it!

Bought one coffee and two ice creams. Quick service and tastes alright......simples. Parking in the Argos car park for free helps too.

Visited Sweet this afternoon and have to say I was happily surprised. As visited the other ice cream parlour in southampton my expectations were not high but I was wrong. The staff were helpful, the waffles were fluffy and fresh and as for the ice cream..... Lush!The owner was in the parlour and was chatting to visitors and cheerful. Judge this place for what it is... A new business, trying to revitalise Totton, serving sweet ice cream Will be returning soon.

Finally somewhere to go that isn't a coffee shop aiming for world domination! My partner and i visited on a weekday evening. Was clean and quiet with a varied menu to choose from. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, will be vising often

Went to this ice cream parlour today, sadly will not be returning soon. We ordered the strawberry and cream crepe X2. This crepe tasted like cardboard along with it being served in a takeaway box!! The staff have not got a clue which is not their fault. The management need to get this sorted very soon. We asked for a takeaway portion which was delivered before we had ours. There seems to be a distinct lack of communication in this place. Please Totton needs places like this to be a success, make the changes....

Visited sunday pm. Queuing out the door but plenty of tables free. Needed someone coordinating footfall. Quality of product fine. No high chairs at all were available which was bad planning. Entrance cramped. It seemed chaotic. Hopefully things will improve as it is new and things take time to bed in. On my next visit I will review again and hope to give an increased score.
