We brought something and you can't deliver it I'm very upset

There was definitely something wrong with that cheesecake, sat down and ordered an Oreo cheesecake, tasted like it had been refrigerated for the past few weeks, it was dry and tasted like spoilt milk, nothing like Oreo’s, also ordered a bubble tea it tasted like those instant sachets wouldn’t reccomend

I ordered 2 peanut butter stacks which were proper small <The stack consisted of 2>. The service is very bad. Took a very long time to come. Although when I've eaten in, the atmosphere is good and they give better servings. The food is absolutely lush.

Waited 2 hours for my delivery...called several times...no answer!! When I finally got through....unapologetic!! Never again!!!!!!!

I would give it -5 stars no joke. absolute dumpster fire. The place smells weird, the decor is ugly, and the service is a joke. The cakes are dry, the ice cream is icy, and the coffee is brown water. Prices are outrageous for such awful quality. Stay far away it's a total waste of time and money and thos shop is a bloody waste of space.

It’s a nice place but far better out there. The majority of the menu we requested was not available. Staff are young and friendly but felt more of a nightclub than a desert shop. Loud music and all on their phones chatting away instead of looking professional. Mojitos were not worth the £5 as it’s a bit of flavour and flat pop !

Hello this place was absolutely unprofessional. it took over thirty minutes just to order ( i had to get up myself to order n the guy just looked confused). The tables were unclean, the menu had chocolate and was sticky. Unhygienic would be an understatement to describe the conditions of the place. When I ordered the food there was a bug on the strawberry and unclean utensils. I recommend that this place would learn how to clean after customers leave and make sure that the food they serve is actually edible and clean, so it can actually be considered a restaurant

Food fine - had a delivery, milkshake was half empty as delivery driver put bag sideways, cycled 2 miles and most of milkshake had leaked out by time i got it

I ordered 3 milkshakes and they were completely inedible, they had a spoilt taste to them, after waiting over an hour for our order we were extremely displeased. Don’t waste your time and money at this restaurant.

The biggest challenge was the rude service that spoiled the whole experience. I understand that several people are noy in proper mood... fine with me. But if you are not in mood to serve other people stay home!!! Do not spoil the day of everyone around you. At the end of that day i came there i speng my money 💰 and i am expecting good atmosphere and excellent service!!! Product was just ok nothing special... Prices are expensive for so low quality service and medium product

Always a “treat” to pop in; staff is very friendly and the food is always good, especially for the price!~ I recommend trying the cookie dough trays, they’re warm and gooey, but still crunchy enough for people who prefer something a little less doughy: definitely my personal favourite item on the menu; good to let the ice cream soak in a bit to cool and shovel down when you’re feeling especially low and need a destructive pick-me-up Fridges are packed with an ensemble of cold desserts; I have on good authority from my partner that the cheesecakes are good.. and some crazy hot chocolates with lots of cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles The interior has undergone a refurbish since last going in: the update makes it feel very trendy and modern, with dark walls and neon lights - feels very reminiscent of Creams, and other dessert bars of the same nature, but with a more quiet, relaxed atmosphere, especially in the evenings. Never gone wrong with sitting in, here, and can’t recommend this place, enough - definitely worth a try for yourself~

Ordered for delivery almost 2 hours ago, not picking up the phone and no update provided. Shocking how the standards have dropped from a few years ago.

Visited with my family lovely staff. After our order my daughter told one of the staff its mums bday he surprised me with a slice of cake with sparkler on & played birthday song. So kind and generous of the team thanks so much really appreciate

So first one i received was a aero chocolate BUBBLE waffle flat as a pancake smothered in chocolate as if a child had done it not edible in my opinion. I told them about this and they offered a little compensation which is the beautiful looking waffle with white chocolate and biscuit crumbs on top was excited about this one however this didn't even taste nice either and it went in the bin also The service wasn't good either and the food was worse had high expectations about this dessert shop but they let me down wouldn't recommend. Wouldn't dream of giving the flat one to anyone especially if they paid over £10 for it.

Our go to for desserts delivered! Lots of variety for the whole family, good value for money and always sent quickly.

Been twice. Good coffee and good ice cream. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Very handy after the footy or meal in town. Negatives are the blinking QR code menu which takes FOREVER to download! Just please put a menu on the table or on the wall!

Manager is rude with customer and with staff. It's not family place any more because he use bad language.

Service was very slow. Kept hearing the manager asking staff what the table number was and when looking around there wasn’t any table numbers on the tables. Probably why they were slow. Also another persons order was brought to our table. Also my friend was waiting for her milkshake for over 30 minutes so at this point we wanted to leave. We asked about the milkshake and they forgot about the order and then started making it. We won’t be coming here again.

Hot chocolate was nice. Brownie was hot but nicely presented.

Popped in for a coffee and cake for husbands birthday, never been before but was not disappointed, cakes were amazing, guy who served us asked if we would wait 10 mins so he could clean coffee machine, did not mind at all because coffee was lovely when it came, the interior is beautiful all gold and black, would recommend going and will be going back again

Probably the best Nutella based desserts I've ever had. Would recommend this place to anyone with a sweet tooth or anyone who's looking for a banging dessert. Prices are reasonable too. (Waffles and pancakes are spectacular)

Excellent service delivered to us for my sister in laws bday. They provided a sparkler, birthday song and also dimmed the lights with very less notice. What a fast service. Thank you ❤️

My go to dessert cafe in Newcastle - excellent variety, very consistent, good value and service Ordered many times both sit in and delivery - usually go for the white choc heaven waffle or biscoff cookie dough

It was ok, nothing special, ice cream was like water. Service decent but food not up to scratch and desserts of this ilk is the same everywhere so hard to get it wrong but they did

Absolutely gutted, my son treat us to sweet dreams after his first few orders were lovely and his visit to the cafe was good. We waited an hour and a half for our delivery even calling as it had passed the estimated time. The quality was awful, stale cheap crossiant with lotus spread, overpriced. Waffle sticks are half a waffle for not much less than the price of a full waffle. Whipped cream is spray cream which has liquidified. The waffle was nice enough but I could have took a trip to the supermarket in half the time and put this together and it would have been less disappointing. The smoothie had a a large amount of ice in and very little smoothie I had high hopes of this place and I am very disappointed.

I am disappointed. I always bring my friends here and I always come to get a milkshake and they use to fill the milkshake till the top. It was exciting! But today I went, and turns out that the price increased plus THE QUANTITY WAS SO LITTLE. I felt really disappointed. Don't know if to come again to be honest.

Always come here. But today I ordered a hot cookie dough and it was uncooked they took it back and brought it back and was still uncooked. Not happy👎🏻

An hour to receive 2 waffles that I ordered online, when I live 15 minutes away and paid £2 for delivery an actual waste of time!

Just been with my daughter for a waffle and 2 milkshakes. Absolutely delicious! The milkshakes are made with proper whippy ice cream and are really thick absolutely amazing. My daughter had the nutella waffle with strawberries and ice cream and demolished it! The staff were lovely, we went just before they opened and they still done a waffle for us! Will definitely be back, worth the money! 🤤

Ordered my food at 22.45pm and it's now 00.12am the next day and still not received my order and there now closed and I now after sit and wait for my order as I cart order any where else incase my takeaway comes

Lots of choice and I prefer the ice cream they serve rather than other dessert places. The cookie dough came as hot dough and not like a cookie texture so it may put some people off. Can't fault the staff and my I've cream Sunday was delicious.

Extremely inconsistent and undercooked waffles

I have been to Sweet Dreams many a time. At the beginning it was good place to visit with a good vibe... now you are served by miserable staff with no customer service...things just plonked in front of you not checking if the cutlery is dry serving tea leave you waiting 10 mins for the milk to arrive.. need to get their act together... the desserts still the best in the north east the only saving grace!

Cake was absolutely awful, dry and tasteless, didn't finish it it was so bad. Delivery was 30mins later then expected. Only gave 1 star because I couldnt give them none. Total waste of money....avoid

The place has good ambiance. They have their menu as a pdf which shows when you scan the QR code on the table. There are a lot of choices and you can see the different cakes available on the display. The desserts are very affordable and definitely costs less than most dessert places. The cheesecakes are so rich and delicious. The waffles are also good. I would definitely eat desserts in this place again.

Fab! Came here on a whim and were really impressed. Huge menu. Really friendly staff, quick service and reasonably priced. Better than the well known, busier competitors. We ordered the Kinder King waffle and crepe and a Nutella crepe. All delicious. Heaps of sauce on the Kinder ones. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing waffles and other desserts!

Don’t get the rice pudding, states it is home made, it isn’t. It’s from a tin - can tell by the quality, taste and colour (yellowy tint) as homemade rice pudding is thick creamy and white due to the cream, and this wasn’t. Other desserts are usually good but was let down paying 4 quid for a 60p happy shopper tin of rice pudding.

Decent deserts selections which were average but for price can't be too critical. The mocktails were a bit too sweet. Staff at front door was very helpful. There is on street parking available if lucky however it is near 2 car parks (China Town).

Ordered just a couple of desserts via deliveroo. An amazing Oreo cheesecake and a warm pudding with custard.,arrived on time and were devoured in minutes. Both were absolutely amazing.

The presentation.. ew. The taste.. meh. Before covid, this was the spot, now it’s honestly like why did I just spend £20 here? The cardboard container was soggy and wet, the chocolate/nutella was everywhere .. the strawberries weren’t even on the waffle.. and the waffle itself look/taste undercook. A true description of don’t judge the product based on the image. I didn’t even request white chocolate so why did I receive it? It was a mess. Thank God I value my money over presentation because that was horrendous. I’m sure the cardboard has melted onto the bottom of the waffle. Two stars because the delivery was on time, and the brownie as well as the ice cream taste/look good.

Ordered a cookie dough, it was so hard couldn’t even break into it - tastes stale and very disappointed , literally looked as if they popped a stale cookie in the microwave and popped it in the microwave , definitely not worth the money YUCK

Such a shame sweet dreams used to be our go to dessert place literally ordered every other week, staff are considerably disrespectful and rude now for no reason, and the cookie dough has changed aswell aswell as other desserts, quality of desserts has decreased as if cheaper alternatives used, such a shame. Also they have gotten our order wrong a few times now, last time they overcharged us and guy on the phone was shouting blaming us and not even letting us speak, when it was their fault, wouldn’t recommend, avoid the disappointment.

Decent choice of desserts on the menu, and the prices are a little bit cheaper than some other dessert places in the city. The cookie dough is great, if you like a super sweet and rich dessert. The traditional hot desserts like jam roly poly are decent too. I would only ever get one of those two things, but i once tasted one of the waffles which was completely forgettable. The desserts are best served fresh (sitting in rather than takeaway)... if you don't mind the tacky interior and the not-very-well-cleaned tables. The staff and service varies from "indifferent" to "okay".

service was poor, hardly anyone in but over 6 staff and they brought out 1 dessert at a time over the space of 45 mins then got my order wrong . Good desserts but slow staff.

We visited the cafe on 26/August 2020. We had to wait there for about 10 mins to be seated. When we sat we ordered 2 desserts and 2 bottles of water. Waited 45 mins and not even the water was served. complained 2 times because other tables that came 10 mins after us had 4 desserts at that time. I dont understand how this happens? Only when I complained 3rd time, they brought the desserts. WITH NO CUTLERY. Ice cream was melting, water was not there. Cutlery arrived late and dirty. when you cant manage because its busy, dont take more people up to a level where you can manage. MANAGEMENT.

An extremely slow level of customer service, as we had to wait 40 mins for our milkshakes. A real disappointment as the menu looked incredibly promising, The ice cream was watery and tasted shop bought, I wouldn't come back.

Just visited in Aug 2020, waiting outside for 5 min, then around 15-20 min to order, then wait for 30 min just to serve softy ice cream with flavoured sauce, they should have said at gate that ice cream scoops not available, staff are running here and there, delivers order at wrong tables 😀, no safety measures at all by staff, no appron or masks. Delivered ice cream 🍨 sundae without spoon 🙃, when asked for spoons, very cheap stainless spoons provided for the price of the ice cream Sundae 🍨. No tissues on tables.

First visit yesterday and although the food was delicious, the cleanliness was worrying, especially as we're in middle of a pandemic. Quite unorganised to meet the covid guidelines. A Hand sanitiser at entrance was a plus as was customers had to sign in a book with name and number (I'm guessing for the track and trace) but unfortunately it was on display for all to see so is a breach of GDPR. Tables were left dirty until new customers arrived. Windows and floor could do with a clean too. Staff didn't wear any ppe when handling our food or delivering it to our table and a family of 6 were seated right next to us. As one of us was high risk it wasn't the best first experience unfortunately. This place could be amazing if better guidence procedures were in place. Hopefully next time will be better 🤞

Food was great. It's half price today so it was super busy. Staff gave me one additional ice cream for free by accident so I can't complaint but the guy who was waiting for this ice cream wasn't very happy so I thought I will get them 5 stars to compensate for this :)

My Breakfast tea came in a Chipped teapot. I had to call the waitress back over for milk and sugar, and then again for a teaspoon for which I was given a dessert spoon. My partner had flowering tea, which came in a dirty glass still with the last person's lip marks on it. Granted they were happy to replace it but im not impressed as we're in the middle of an epidemic. My children enjoyed their deserts but the feeling of disgust has ruined the experience. Avoid like the plague... Unless you actually want the plague!

Staff are a bit abrupt. The milkshakes nice but rest of desserts are average. Staff arent very nice.Also close at half 11 but dont serve you at 10:45? Could atleast put a notice up stating when last order is.Didnt even let me get takeout... Shop had a lot of tables free but they didnt serve us. Dont understand why as we werent given a reason just told us cant come in. Yesterday the girl also told us theres no tables in a rude manner.Yesteray there busy so fair enough but today they were not busy.

No ice cream. Dirty. Served drinks in bottles, but no glasses. When asked for glasses, the staff looked at me like I was mad. They eventually brought me a class, but it was dirty. No ice cream in an ice cream parlour is not a good business model. No soap in the bathroom.

Visited here last night and it was just okay. I wanted a sundae but they said they werent doing them (no sign stating this anywhere). So we ordered 2 cookie dough which were really nice. What really let this place down was the service. There was about 4 men behind the counter doing nothing and one young girl running around trying to help all the customers. There was no covid screens and didnt see much cleaning being done at all. The booths are all close together and no social distancing and the staff werent wearing masks. Wouldnt visit here again

The food was amazing - my boyfriend and I both ordered cookie doughs. It was our first time there so it took us a while to figure out that we had to order at the till. We also happened to sit near the door where the speaker was at. The music was rather deafening

Visited with my family on Tuesday afternoon including a toddler and a baby. The staff were very helpful and informative. The waffle was light and not stodgy. And the strawberries were lovely and fresh! We will definately be returning!

We visited as part of Eat Out To Help Out, however the staff did not advise us that they only apply the discount if you spend over a certain amount post person until after we'd ordered and eaten which is a little deceptive. I had lotus hot cookie dough with soft serve, which was honestly some of the best hot cookie dough I've ever had. The service was such quick and they didn't skimp out on the toppings or sauce. It's such a shame that the service let them down
