popped in for a birthday treat with the kids, wow the waffles are to die for. Kids enjoyed the ice cream - staff nice and friendly

Excellent service & sweet waffles. Lots of toppings to choose from and a large range of ice cream flavours. Waffles we had the recommended ones. Wow !

Amazing place to visit, food is excellent, coffee is amazing and at such a good price too. Been plenty of times and it always is amazing.

Took the girls here for an Easter holidays treat. It looks amazing, bright and colourful and full of wonderful sweet smells as soon as you walk in. I had an ice cream and the girls had crepes. Nice selection of toppings and all super sweet! Staff were pleasant enough, but I wasn't sure if it was table service or counter service. The crepes arrived after a short wait and the girls loved them, nice and warm and obviously freshly cooked. I'd certainly go back again and try a few more things.

Had a fantastic afternoon at Sweet Charlies ‘s today! The food was perfect and the choice is outstanding! Soo many options of deliciousness! It was the perfect vibe for a casual get together a venue that is a winner with both kids and adults. Charlie and the team were great hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we have everything we needed! Thank you <3

This was a Price is Wight Special a sweet crepe tea for 4 people. Beautifully presented. Sandwiches were ham, cheese and egg mayo finger slices on fresh white bread. You then had mini pancakes with pots of maple syrup, melted chocolate and cream. Then a top row of macaroons, Victoria sponge and brownies. Fresh fruit of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries scattered around. Tea and coffee. It was a lovely birthday treat for friends, sit chat, catch up and feel utterly stuffed.

It's always fantastic to see a new business open, especially one that caters for a sugar craving or two. Unfortunately, both visits to Sweet Charlies left a bitter taste in the mouth. My first visit was around a month after it opened. Me and three friends visited for lunch. On this occasion, I wanted something savoury as it was lunch time. I ordered a crepe with cheese and ham. The service was slow to meandering (putting this down to their recent opening). However, upon receiving the crepe, it was dry, unappealing and stingy on the ingredients (which were unfortunately 'lunchbox low quality'). Considering what you pay and the cost of one crepe/ingredients - it was disappointing. Both friends shared the same view, however, I believed that perhaps it was opening jitters and another visit in the future would be best before leaving a review. Second time certainly wasn't the charm. After having dinner at the awesome ToTos, we decided to visit Sweet Charlies for dessert. I wanted the classic and kitsch knickerbockerglory and my friend went for the Oreo and cream. Unfortunately, both desserts were disappointing, tasteless creations. The Oreo and Cream had three Oreos placed on top of a ton of squirty cream. The ice-cream beneath was simply vanilla ice cream. There was nothing else linking it to Oreo other than the biscuits. My friend left half of her dessert - perhaps the dessert should be called Vanilla and Cream? My knickerbocker glory was borderline average. The quality of ingredients again was the main issue. Cheap chocolate ice cream alongside the trademark pile of squirty cream. The service was (yet again) slow. I would avoid Sweet Charlies.

Went here to relax and grab a quick lunch. Music up full and very busy, upstairs not open. Only 1 till for savoury, sweet and takeaway. Toasted sandwich came with chopped lettuce and tiny amount of tomato. Owner trying to run round pulling it all together, it could have been so much better. Only go if you have kids or are a kid.

We ordered a Treat Yo’ Self crepe and a savoury Pesto Chicken crepe. Both came very promptly and were absolutely delicious. We also had milkshakes which were incredibly tasty. Definitely will come back. Staff are very friendly and has a great atmosphere and decor.

Myself and my family placed an order for 2 waffles, a crepe and milkshake. The waffles were okay, the crepe however was dry and crispy. The dessert on top was little. You don’t get enough cream supplied and the milkshake was the worst of all. It was supposed to be Wild Berry Flavour but tasted very watery. I had high hopes with all the positive ratings and scenery of the Cafe but was unfortunately left feeling disappointed and fatigued. Sadly I will have to say, I won’t be returning my custom.

Went for a family trip. Ordered a selection of things like waffles, and sandwiches. When ordering the panini we were told it was out of stock however it was still available in the case. We ordered 2 waffles all with whippy Ice cream on. However when the waffles arrived we were told that the machine was broken. We were charged for the ice cream. We were also not communicated that the machine was broken at the point of order. Very disappointing.

Lovely, airy dessert parlour. Waffles, crepes and ice creams. However the young man who said we could sit down didn’t bother to explain that you should choose, order and pay at counter and it’s then brought to your table. I can only assume it was the owner/manager who eventually came over and apologised profusely for not greeting us and explaining how things worked. Another young man took an absolute age to create a Knickerbocker Glory, which was brought over separately to my order for a single scoop of ice cream. This should have been in a tub but came in a half pint plastic cup. Such a shame that all these little things added together to give a poor impression. However on the plus side, good coffee and reasonable prices.
