Everyday its full and queues so long yet they dont hire more staff. Just two staff in this busy city centre!!! I have been here multiple times and its the same. Get more staff please.

had a server called henry (i believe) yesterday afternoon, he was so welcoming & had a laugh and a joke with me whilst i was there getting my latte, amazing customer service & and amazing attitude to work! he will go places 👍

What a shambles, Saturday morning and the only reason the queue moves at all is because people lose patients and leave. Any free tables are covered with dirty cups and trays of rubbish. Spend your money and time elsewhere.

Try other local coffee shops. They are much better.

Overall the coffee was great but the girl with glasses she was very rude and speaking with their colleagues very laud.

REALLY REALLY SAD THAT JUST ONE PERSON IS ATTENDING IN THE COFFEE SHOR. TODAY 4TH JULY AT 10:00, THERE IS JUST ONE PERSON ATTENDING ORDERS, PREPARING COFFES, PREPARING FOOD.. SHE IS AMAZING , BUT WE ARE HUMAN AND WHAT HAPPENED WITH THIS GIRLS IS UNACCEPTABLE. SHE WAS ATTENDING AROUN 45 PEOPLE ALONE IN THE LAST 40 MINUTES AND SHE IS DOING AMAZING BUT SHE CAN NOT BE LEFT ALONE. RIDICOULOUS, NO HUMAN RIGHTS HERE.

A super loud venue with espresso machines and frappuccino mixers blasting throughout the venue. My frapé came to me in a faulty cup that leaked when overfilled. This leaked onto the table, and I had to get up to clean the table. The ceiling lights were flickering so I moved. The next table was in a loud area with sticky tables. I had to request another straw (as if it were a crime) because I had also been issued a leaky straw. I went to use the toilets only to be waiting outside the door for 10mins to find the toilets required a code to enter, and yet no sign appeared to tell me this. A complete dump I hope nobody else visits.

Very expensive but delicious. It was cash only as the card machine was broken so that was a bummer. Overall experience and atmosphere was nice.

Staff always friendly, open early although toast can be hit-and-miss as to how good it is. Edit: 23/05/24 - This Costa is no longer open at 7am as advertised. Wasn't even open by 7.40 am the other day.

Came in for a hot chocolate and was served by the lovely Renee, she’s got such a bright smile and bubbly energy and the hot chocolate was lovely. Made my day :)

Great location, very good coffee cakes and friendly staff. Positive and upbeat atmosphere. It’s a nice place for chilling out with your friends but in busy time especially weekends is little bit noisy 🫨 but it’s fine whoever is a nice and clean place 👍.

Staff was very friendly and fast. However, the place is disgusting. The management should employ enough people to make sure the place is clean.

1.Wanted a hot milkshake as was advertised, machine was broken, had to settle for a hot chocolate, 2. i wanted squirty cream on my hot chocolate - I was told there wasn't any? 3.i wanted to eat in, I was told they only have takeaway cups? Is this the normal? I think not. Staff seemed polite enough and I guess the place was clean and tidy..

Recently visited wasn't great but the manager tom handled the situation very well and professionally

Nice place for a coffee, shame we went on the 1st of Jan though, it was super busy as it was only 1 of 3 shops in the entity of Coventry to be open! They also hadn't had a delivery since boxing day so regular milk wasn't an option but the staff there were trying so hard dealing with it and helping people with alternate choices

Terrible service, priority given to UberEats, orders all mixed up with none of the staff knowing what's going on, won't be visiting again.

I just had to let you know about the exceptional service I had today ( 21/8/2023) from Bradley and another fabulous male member of staff ( sorry I did not catch his nane) I was having one of those days when I visited with my friend. I struggled to open a can of drink and they kindly helped. Then I sat down and promptly spilled it everywhere and was rather embarrassed. Bradley promptly mopped it up without any hesitation and refilled my drink. Thanks so much to two very lovely helpful members of staff. I will be back! Ps wear your waterproofs!!🙂

Its alright. Good coffee. Sometimes the staff are friendly and other times they are super cold which is very common. Buy your coffee and leave 😁

Not a really big fan of these large franchise places, but we were in Coventry for a quick visit when the heavens open up so we called into here. The staff were very very pleasant and helpful. The tea and toasted was all good and hot. I’m sure the staff here are above the norm with smiles and very chatty even when busy👍

At the Upper Precinct in Coventry City Centre. Nice Costa Coffee with free WiFi. Comfortable for half an hour. Quiet too inside. And relaxing.

This costa is the same as every costa in the world similar layout similar dishes ,similar drinks,similar prices the costa located on the upper precinct in Coventry has good access for wheel chairs,but a very small outdoor area. Ample indoor seating,with a warm friendly atmosphere

I do like there coffee not sure on food as never eaten there

The service here is so painfully slow that on several occasions (today included) I've abandoned the queue. Its Also quite dirty, even first thing in the morning which makes me wonder about the level of cleanliness.

Not a great experience. Tables hadn't been cleared so I took all the cups and plates left at our table to counter and asked if ok to leave on side. Recieved a side ways look and abrupt answer from the girl making coffees felt it was very rude response. I won't bother helping again......

Today was not a good visit dirty tables wrong drinks given had to drink from the paper cups as said thay was short staffed for what you pay I wouldn't go again in a hurry.

Great new drinks - my choice was Hot chocolate and hazelnut praline latte which was divine. A lovely toasted tea cake to accompany the drink and a pleasant environment.

Big coffee shop, comfortable, with very kind service , good attitude and really helpful staff... but ... the quality of the coffee is under average . I drunk special coffees , like bonfire latte , in a lot of Costa coffee, but that’s maybe the worst . Maybe need some training

I usually enjoy a coffee here but today wasn't good at all. Staff didn't seem to be on top of things and it all felt a bit ' yeuky'.Ordered an Americano - was given a cracked cup and a latte spoon ?!?Wasn't given a receipt so when I wanted to use the toilet I had to go up to the counter and ask for a receipt with the code on.Toilet was very dirty even though it was only 10.00am. Paper on the floor and just didn't feel particularly clean.

The photos says it all, we were here for 45 mins, not once did any member of staff tidy up. At one point the box was simply kicked to one side by a member of staff The “hot” chocolate was lukewarm and don’t even get me started on the staff.It was not busy, and at one point no customers were waiting to be served.This place is a dump!

Costa serves best coffee in this city. Fast service with smile. Nice staff. Great place for a little break or a meeting with friends.

Stopped by for a coffee break with my daughter during a shopping trip. They didn't seem to have enough staff on to deal with the amount of customers. The premises could do with being bigger.

Great service from the barista who prepared a mixture of frappes and coffees quickly and they certainly tasted good. The only downfall to this particular costa is that the interior is a little “tired-looking” and could do with a makeover.

The staff all seemed happy to be chatting between themselves but didn't want to know me. Won't be back.

The waitresses didn't seem to bother. I paid £2 for a very weak double espresso, and it didn't look clean around the coffee machine.

Grabbed a cappuccino while waiting for shops to open. Barista needs retraining. Tried telling her leaving the milk to boil over while she did other things would spoil the coffee. She just looked at me like I was a moron. Tea = boiling, coffee @ 91°. Boiling milk will burn the coffee.

Called in here in the week nice and quiet served straight away staff were very friendly drinks were nice and hot well done.

Nothing special, tables are pretty small. Situated on the 1st floor of the Waterstones store. Helpful, attentive staff however which goes a long way! A great quiet atmosphere for a quick coffee

I turned up early to meet a friend, so with half an hour to spare I decided to pop into here fir a quick coffee. Glad I did. The staff were very friendly & the range of items on offer was good, especially in early afternoon, when some places run short so choice is limited. Nice atmosphere. Would go again & would recommend!

Went into Coventry precinct Costa Coffee as the one above Waterstones was closed. We ordered two small cappuccinos to drink in. We were a little confused when the till operator asked if we wanted marshmallow on top. We declined. The barista served us two hot chocolate. When I said I didn't order these I was told, in a curt manner, by the till operator that I had. I said that I had not and was quickly served two cappuccinos with an apology from one of the female barista. I said it was OK as I could see they were busy. She did not reply.

Went there on a rainy day for a coffee break with family after shopping. Service was good but place is untidy, tables, especially outside are dirty, and there is a guy, probably out of his mind who talks to people and pretends to be member of the staff. Annoying!

Nipped in for a quick Coffee to get out the rain, was OK, had to queue and wait a little while to be served. Coffee was acceptable at best. Would i return?? probably but wouldn't rush back!

After a raining day I was looking for a nice caramel latte. So dissappointed.

I was visiting Coventry and used this branch four days in a row.

No issue with the lovely hot chocolate that I had or the Americano that my husband had, but for the whole half hour we were there, not one table was cleared. The cups that were on our table when we sat down were still there when we left. There seemed to be enough staff, so why is that as customers were going to sit down they were clearing the tables themselves? Also made a toilet visit where the floor was wet and the toilet itself definitely needed a good clean. Come on Costa! you charge enough so surely you can make sure everywhere is clean and clutter free!

I like Costa Coffee, indeed I have been frequenting this place for a few years and always had pleasant and efficient service. However, the decor is now in need of total refurbishment as the place is looking a bit 'tatty'. This Costa is located on the first floor of Waterstones Bookstore in the Precinct and I don't know who is responsible for the general upkeep, but the carpet is filfthy and littered around the toilet and lift area and inside the lift is even worse. There was two discarded plastic book crates in front of the lift just waiting to trip some poor disabled person over. I also reported what looked like a infestation of flies all over the wall at the rear of the store near the door where the washing up takes place. The waitress just looked at me and I doubt if she understood what I was telling her, probably due to English not being her first language.
