Food was awful. Chicken wasn’t great, jacket potato was small. Still had choice of filling even though they have stopped doing it.

Had a full English breakfast here. Absolutely first class. Everything cooked to perfection. Staff were really friendly and most importantly the place is very clean. Will definitely be back again.

There was nothing I didn't like about this lovely coffee shop, myself and my mum went to Coventry for the day and we were looking for independent cafes as we are about supporting local businesses ☕ It wasn't badly priced either! My mum had a cappuccino and a Fred rocher muffin which she enjoyed!! She loved it very much and I had a cherry pepsi max but I was all about enjoying the vibe ☕ Lovely staff and a lovely service! I loved the atmosphere! Very cosy and love the sofas, I will be back the next time I come to Coventry ☕

Cafe that focuses on hot chocolate as well as serving other cafe staples. Went for a coffee, but wished I'd had time for lunch as the sandwiches and cakes looked delicious.

Not the best, order came promptly but sandwich wasn’t quite what I ordered, quality so-so. When questioning it I was told they were out of stock and this was the closest they had. If they had told me this when ordered I would have ordered something else. Given the other options within 50m of the door I won’t be making the mistake to come back.

A coffee, a LARGE raspberry muffin and a can of Sprite for just under £7, which is pretty reasonable for the city centre. The place has a pretty extensive menu with lots of seating.

Was looking for a breakfast place in Coventry and chanced upon Cocoa Caffe. We ordered the ultimate breakfast which was huge, and was value for money, however we did expect roasted tomatoes but the ones we got seemed out of a can. Overall the place was fine and we had a good time!!

Food is great £5 chicken pizza and a Nutella hot chocolate, great price ,clean and friendly staff. Thank you. Great for children and babies .

to start off the food was 20 mins late. the food then arrives and the drinks are missing, i look at the food and the eggs are hard, the bacon looked tasted and felt like rubber, sausages wasn’t too bad, baguette tastes horrible and cold, i ordered extra hash browns (should have been 4) and didn’t get 1😂. spoke to the restaurant and they were rude and disrespectful and jus wanted me off the phone. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Awful service got order wrong and even after my vegetarian friend explained what she wanted, she still got a chicken wrap, were reluctant to refund and couldn't care less she had eaten some, absolutely shocking , wouldn't let me choose zero not a one at all

No drinks with meals. Better quality breakfasts at other establishments. Over priced for what you get. Tuna melt panini was dry and tasted ‘funky’ Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Be careful. Called and the lady who answered was not helpful.

I was apprehensive ordering given other reviews but given I was only ordering cold food, I thought I’d take the chance. Ordered 3 batches. The salad description lists lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion. Ok. I like all of those. Food turns up, a bit late but roads are busy at time of delivery so OK. What arrived - much to my chagrin - were three batches. All of which included sweetcorn, a vegetable I cannot stand. And which I was not asked if it would be OK to substitute for onion which was apparently unavailable. So all three were inedible - unless I sit with tweezers and remove it all. Just as well though as separating the batches from the polystyrene packaging for rubbishing, realised the bottom of the batches were all soggy as if they’d been sat in water. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Went there for lunch with a first time visitor to Coventry and to say I was ashamed is an understatement. Ordered a cooked breakfast my husbands beans were cold and 2 jacket potatos which were both stone cold when we complained tgey redid them but they didn't take criticism very well. Stay well clear of it.

Bacon batch was lovely! Chips could of done with cooking another minute or 2 but still nice, Nutella hot chocolate didnt taste like Nutella but again was nice! Ice cream although again it was really nice it was mostly melted by the time it got to me but I did order at rush hour!

Food was cold, Halloumi chips were badly burnt couldn't eat them,my son's jacket potato was full of water,he could actually pour it out the polystyrene container,and the panini was two slices of bread toasted, with ham and cheese in,the food was disgusting!! Would never order from here again

I found plastic pieces in my banana split smoothie, which is absolutely unacceptable. Definitely never order from here again.

Quality and cooking was OK. Missed £4 smoothie off order. Called restaurant to confirm they said contact just eat. Still yet to get refund for smoothie.

Poor! Longer wait than expected food cold and overpriced for the quality. Would not order again or recommend to anyone else. Disappointing. Only gave stars as I couldn’t submit without. This was ordered at 1:30 on a Monday so do not think the poor quality would be due to being busy.

Been here a couple of times and everytime I’ve been pleased lovely food very friendly and the homemade cakes were amazing. Overall would 100% would recommend and go again

First visit and last, I ordered breakfast and no sausage but another bacon instead. Issued with plastic knife and fork [ covid ? ] but could have done with a saw as the bacon was rigid, looked as though it had been cooked twice.Mushrooms were shriveled up,fried egg was solid and tomatoes were cold. How they could have served that looking as it did seemed as though they just didn't care.

A large portion of the items that were received in the classic breakfasts were cold. Furthermore, the 3 classic breakfasts were all missing the egg and an additional extra was not included.

The fact this place was empty when McDonalds next door was full should have set alarm bells ringing. I ordered the traditional cooked breakfast, it arrived lukewarm, canned mushrooms, and the sausages tasted really weird. The serving staff are very young and they come across as rude. A smile wouldn't go a miss. Wish I'd gone next door now. I wont be back

Ordered from here a few times, always been fresh, tasty and hot, but today both toasties were hard, cold and the only part of mine that was edible was the salad, we ordered a regular tea and a large cocoa works chocolate which came in cups that felt they could disintegrate any second, good job the drinks were cold so we could drink them in one gulp, oh and the large cup was only half full... And I paid £14.08 for this privilege, not sure if I'll be ordering again, maybe its just a 'bad day',

What I thought was going to be a lovely catch up with family and friends turned into a nightmare start to finish. After ordering 2 muffins a tea and a hot chocolate I was surprised to pay £4 more than expected. They had automatically assumed I wanted a large tea and hot chocolate but hadn’t even asked . After debating this fact I was told it had already gone through so couldn’t be changed. I paid and sat down on what could only be described as a hard footstool as there was nowhere else for my party of four to sit. Ok the next problem our hot chocolate and tea arrived but we had to wait over 5 minutes longer for our friends milkshake to arrive while other diners who arrived after us got their drinks straight away. Next problem, we put the milk in the tea and there were bits floating around in it like the milk was off. Not very appealing, after asking the waitress she said it looked normal, I don’t think so, I don’t drink tea but I know what it’s supposed to look like. Muffins were dry like they were stale and my friends baguette was not like what she ordered, we had enough of complaining so just sat for a few minutes to let it go down. We then had our table cleared and were glared at by others who obviously wanted to sit. Well enough said not very good at customer service and even worse with the food and drinks. We will not be coming back. Such a shame great location.

My food was stone cold when it arrived, and my drink was all melted. I was not very happy with this because it didn’t tase nice at all so I didn’t enjoy it.

Was craving a jacket potato for a while so I ordered the chilli and cheese topping and it didn't disappoint.

Ordered a milkshake and frappe both myself and my friend said they had a weird aftertaste like the milk was bad. Paninis were okay but not happy overall with the quality. Expected more for the price.

Delivery driver delivered cold chips, panini was fine and tasty but half a large latte as the rest has spilt everywhere. Would say this was the restaurants fault but for delivery purposes.

Went to Cocoa on Friday mourning before going to work. Very nice and polite staff members. I had a full English breakfast which was very fresh and tasted amazing. Also came with a free drink which was a nice cherry on top. I will definitely go back when I’m in Coventry next,

3 coffees and 3 muffins £15.00 ! Don’t mind that if nice 👍 however all three muffins stale and just shocking sent them back gave us three different ones but not much better. We used to frequently go to this place but not any longer STAY AWAY !

I was served by a waitress who clearly did not want to be there. I ordered a latte and a cheese / ham toastie. Fifteen minutes later I had drunk my coffee and told a different waitress il have my toastie to go as I had drunk my coffee. Another 5 mins went by and I had to tell a third waitress I was waiting for my toastie. After a total of 25 mins my toastie was given to me. I was going to eat my toastie but it was shocking.. Just warmed bread with cheap filling.. Never to return to this disgraceful set up..

We ordered 2 hot drinks .... were told to sit down and they would bring it over .... 20 mins later after I asked where they were and a waitress shrugged ... 2 warm drinks arrived but had an added bonus of a hair floating on top .... during the wait we watched a cheese salad sandwich be walked around looking for it’s owner the entire time .... never again !

After wandering around Coventry looking for somewhere that looked inviting, reasonably priced and sold an all day breakfast, I settled on Cocoa Caffe in the Orchards Shopping Centre. It had plenty of seating and lots of menu choices. The selection of cakes and cookies looked delicious and I probably should have gone for something cold and packaged. Instead I went for the Classic Breakfast at £4.79. Two sausages, bacon, toast, fried egg, mushrooms and beans (or you could have tomato instead of beans). With a hot drink. The tea arrived first. The teaspoon had stuff stuck to it and the mug wasn’t clean either (so I drank from the other side but I got about halfway and decided not to finish it). When breakfast arrived things were looking up. It looked delicious and the cutlery was clean. However, despite it being cooked to order, it arrived lukewarm. Warm sausages, barely warm beans and a cold fried egg. I forced down about 3/4 because I was hungry and then I left, feeling disappointed. No one asked me how my meal was and because I’d already paid I didn’t think I’d get anywhere by complaining. I won’t be rushing back there any time soon. Shame because it had such potential from outside.

A nice spot for a quick lunch during your work break. It offers simple foods such as paninis, pizza baguettes, jacket potato etc. Food is very basic but in the shopping centre food court it's the only option if you don't want to eat fast food. Their drinks are very good though, both their coffee and milkshakes are excellent! Fast service, cheap prices and friendly staff! I like the fact that its somewhere I can visit for lunch on my own!

Went in a couple of days ago, and ordered a sandwich. Half way through eating the sandwich, I noticed there was mould spots in the bread. The staff did not seem bothered about it, just a casual "sorry about that", took the sandwich away and brought out a new one, without offering a refund. The sandwich they bought out was also not fresh and the bread felt slightly hard, as if it had been left uncovered. Will not be visiting again, I was pretty disgusted.

Así ha cambiado mucho personal trabajando duro preciosa chica con pelo negro en particular, siempre corriendo por su alto servicio al cliente es genial debe de ser nuevo y la comida es fresco y bien y los molletes son para morirse de rechupete! La verdad es un pequeño y encantador café ahora 10 / 10 no siempre el juez de los comentarios de ir y usted mismo:)

The staff need some training how to make good coffee. I asked for a takeaway flat white but was given something else. My coffee was massive, the milk was burnt and there was no creamy throth. Very disappointed.

Food good better than fast food outlets in same area only thing to gripe about is chairs and settees looking abit old and dated

from outside looked ok so decided to go in and order quick breakfast .. ordered eggs and toast 2.90ish with a drink when i ordered was never asked what type of eggs or asked what type of bread , drink came to table followed by greasy fried eggs on toast ( put off ) , not been told or offered where ketchup etc was ! staff were not friendly , only positive thing we did notice was one of the girls cleaning surfaces. i won’t be going again or recommending

Así que había sido un fin de semana encantador ver a mi novia (soy una estudiante uni en un uni a ella, así que es una rara ocasión) y yo estaba a una hora y media desde coger mi autobús de vuelta a Nottingham. Nos dieron un poco de hambre en la ciudad, así busqué algo para comer. Nos topamos con un agradable centro comercial orchard (oeste) y me pareció que la comida 'terraza' sonaba bien para algunos munch. La mayoría de los establecimientos estaban cerrados, sin embargo el cacao caffe parecía todavía se sirve comida (y sería una alternativa más saludable a la McDonald's).

I went in there for a smoothie and toastie. the smoothie must have been made with gone off fruit because it tasted foul. the toastie arrived cold. the sofa I sat on was all worn out and old. the staff come across as extremely stressed out. not a good atmosphere. will not return!

This place has completely gone downhill and we will definitely not go back. Most of the tables and chairs are badly worn and look shabby and dirty. We paid nearly £10 for two coffees (flat white & Americano) a sausage roll and a toasted tea cake. It wasn’t until we had ordered and sat down that we realised how bad the furniture was, otherwise we would have walked away..

The latte they make doesn't taste like coffee. It felt like traces of coffee grounds boild in water colored in white. Something disgusting. Overall the place is a s*hole.

The food is really good , the only thing that lets it down is the tatty furniture and its so dark and very warm. Sort this out and I believe you will have more customers.

Excelente servicio y un personal amable. Ensaladas y paninis son deliciosos. Llevando la comida a la mesa es muy agradable. El café era muy bueno y su chocolate caliente es maravillosa sin duda 10 / 10 y altamente recomendado.

La comida está bien, pero que no trae la comida y las bebidas a la mesa, lo que significa que si estamos ocupados puedes terminar esperando un rato. El personal era lo suficientemente amable, sin embargo, el lugar en sí es oscura, monótona y en mal estado. Muchas de las sillas están gastadas y otras tienen tela colgando de donde está saliendo. Tienen sofás con mantas de ellos, pero la verdad es que sólo mira un desastre y difícil decir cómo limpio son. En lo positivo, tienen una buena selección de magdalenas y hacen una buena taza de té.

Bien ubicado y con cafetería una buena bienvenida pero el servicio lento ya que después insisten en traer su café en la mesa. Creo que se olvidaron de la nuestra hasta la camarera, que estaba usando su móvil, nos vio mirando.

I have lunch in cocoa cafe quite regularly, the staff are lovely and the food is good. There is one vegan option in paninis, the spicy roast veg, and this is very delicious! They also do soya milk, and a good range of soft drinks. Just need a vegan cake now, please guys?!

Was in Coventry Christmas shopping and great stop off here having a Latte and a muffin Great Value for your Money and cheaper than Costa and Starbucks. And staff helpful and Friendly

While visiting the shopping centre we stopped here for quick lunch. We ordered soup which I think was poor value at £3.99 for what appeared to be tinned soup , but it was hot, the bread was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful

I enjoy coming here with my friend and my daughter, the muffins there are huge and delicious, the sausage rolls are good too. I've read the other reviews and I too have found some staff to be rude but on the whole ok. It can get very busy though and there's not much space but the lighting is minimal so it's a nice distraction from the main food court.

I have visited on many occasions, the muffins have always been great, until today.It was, in my opinion, not fresh. I returned it, to be told I could not have a refund and that it was fresh today. Rubbish! Absolute rubbish! If it was fresh, why not offer me another one. Reason was, you hadn't cooked any! Your customer service is lousy at best and I will not return.

We are a group of ladies , and some men ,who belong to a music group . We meet in Cocoa cafe every Wednesday morning for coffe, cakes and a chatter !! There are plenty of choices for drinks and snacks . Sandwiches, wraps salads etc. prices are reasonable and staff are all very pleasant and helpful .

i and my family use this coffee shop every time we visit covenrty and we have had no problems...but this time we were in for a shock...i ordered our lunch and drinks.......total price £21.56no to bad for what we ordered so i handed my money over and my reward card which was full so a FREE DRINK and FREE SANDWICH...i thought...the young lady behind the counter passed my reward card back and said we have a new manager and your card is not valid a little suprised i asked for the new manager to explane why a new manager means the cancellation of all reward cards..but he does not work on saturdays...but i could have a NEW rewards card to start again ??but when you look at the NEW rewards card it is a perfect match for the old one.....new manager probably a old scam......will never use this coffee shop AGAIN.

Best milkshakes in Coventry, and their muffins are lush! I visit once a week when I am in The area. Roxanna usually serves me, she is very friendly and welcoming. Always receive great customer service. Staff are chatty and attentive.

Just tried this place at random. The frappe was lush and the muffins are the best I have tasted. Gives 'The big 2' a run for their money in my opinion. Odd mixed bag of reviews on here. I would say try for yourself. Was served by the owner and he was pleasant and chatty.

Staff gave my order to other people whom happily took the free goods and the manager had the utter gall to shout at the people I was with, absolutely unprofessional.

I would give them minus a star if there was a choice! The RUDEST staff I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It's not even like their food or drinks are good to do it any kind of justice! On a few occasions that I've been their with friends they've been tight about giving their student discount but this time the girl serving behind the counter was utterly rude and obnoxious about it and treated me like I was  asking for charity. On presenting my NUS card she told me I should have had 'common sense' and presented it BEFORE placing my order and won't be given it. I said that nowhere else have I ever been told to brandish my NUS card before putting things down to purchase, at which point I was told I could leave if I didn't want to pay full price and if I have this "attitude" I should not come back ever again. ATITUDE?! As a customer my question was a valid one and to do with their service the girl behind the till took it personally and literally shooed me with her hands out of the cafe! It's not like they have a sign up telling you to wear your NUS card around your neck or they won't put a discount through once they've scanned your items! Everywhere adds the discount after you've ordered and before you've payed OR they ask you if you have an NUS card. Nowhere insults you publicly just because you didnt state you had an NUS card as soon as you reached the till. I was really taken aback and embarrassed by how I was treated. NEVER going back to this place and going to warn friends off too. Maybe if they loose a few customers they'll train their staff in good customer service skills.

The Cocoa Cafe is located on the food court floor of the West Orchards Shopping Mall. My wife and I visited here after a busy morning's shopping in Coventry for a drink.The place seemed pretty clean and the service was with a smile. The atmosphere is as per any mall food court, so not exactly fantastic, but still ok.My wife had a banana and strawberry smothie which I am told was very nice, whilst I had a latte which was also very good. Also the price for both drinks together came to less than 5 pound, which I thought was very good.All in all we enjoyed our drinks and will no doubt return next time we are in cov.
