Popped in here after a swim for a coffee and something to eat. Queue wasn't that big but service was super slow! If you are going to shout out the number so people can collect the food when it's hot then shout it out loud.....I stood next to the hatch and the young people were practically whispering the numbers! Coffee hot and ok.

So slow! We live in the area. Been going for years. But you are getting slower and slower. Such a shame-as it’s so close and easy for us. Location is obviously great and the food is pretty good for a small cafe. Just don’t go there in your lunch break or if you’re hungry or in a rush.

Tried the ice cream this afternoon. First, the service was extremely slow. When it did turn up, it looked nothing like the picture of coco fudge. The cup was now where near as full as other thst came out before mine. Item just thrown on. Service was a lot better last Sunday.

Had a properly cooked, crispy skinned jacket potato - delicious tuna topping & side salad. Really enjoyed it! Beautiful location on Swanpool Beach - was glorious weather today and the cafe was very busy. Food served in boxes, wooden cutlery, plenty of seating. Relaxed environment - the ice creams were very tempting but I’d run out of room!

As a local, I buy at least 4 or 5 coffees every month at Swanpool. I’ve decided to forget buying any more after the rudeness this week when I politely asked if a savoury vegan bap option might be offered. ‘It would cost too much’ was the abrupt, answer from the disinterested young man serving me. Really? Even to keep a pack of frozen vegan sausages that take 10 mins to quickly fry? It seems a no-brainer to keep customers feeling included.I love the date flapjack but I’m not eating this every time other friends have sausage baps. The baked potato option isnot appealing again and again - and the one time I saw anything else vegan (a salad box) on offer was on a tiny sign I’d not even noticed before, and were no longer being supplied. I’m done bothering to spend money here now, sadly. A shame.

Very disappointing. We went down to have omelette but they couldn’t do them as their griddle wasn’t working. I ordered a bacon bap and my husband had a sausage bap. Bacon was sloppy, fatty and tasteless and the sausage tasted cheap and looked barely cooked.

Not vegetarian or vegan friendly with savoury options. Only baked pots on offer w beans or veg - so very unimaginative, as keeping some other vegan bap fillings would be a doddle. Gilly Beach and Maenporth cafes nearby have much better offerings for non meat eaters. I’ve given 3 stars though as there are a couple of good vegan cakes and the coffees are a much better size than Gilly.

A beautiful small beach with great access for those with poor mobility. Food from the cafe is excellent and there are plenty of picnic tables available on the beach if you wish to bring your own food. There is also the option to hire a kayak or body board. We didn't take up this opportunity but it does seem reasonably priced. You can also hire a wet suit. Across the road and adjacent to the large car park, there is a lovely crazy golf course for the young and young at heart. Again this is available for a small fee. The course and the equipment are both kept in really good condition and the course overlooks a beautiful lake with ducks. The only thing I would like to see added would be some benches to increase accessibility for those with disabilities or poor mobility.

Rightly renowned locally for the vast and frankly somewhat surreal range of ice creams on offer. Whatever combination you can imagine, they've probably got it. Got a variety of hot and cold sandwiches and hot drinks too, as well more as more substantial fare - just what you need after you get out of the water. Clever arrangement of screen deck areas for some sheltered seating if the wind is up, but no indoor seating here.Large pay and display car park across the road, along with toilets. The local Shorelink bus service also stops outside. If you're walking from Falmouth Maenporth along the cliff tops from Pendennis, this is a nice mid-point to stop for a drink / snack with a beautiful beach view.

Asked if they could do decaff cappuccinos - "Of course I can" was the reply. It was instant decaff granules made up with half a cup of hot water and topped up with hot milk, with chocolate sprinkles, all in a paper cup. There was a 5mm layer of froth on top. I skimmed off the sprinkles and left the rest. My partner got a bit further, he drank about an inch before he gave up.I would rather they had said no, they couldn't do decaff cappuccinos than serve us this horrid stuff. Walking the SW Coastal Path in Cornwall just outside Falmouth, you naturally arrive at Swanpool Beach. A small, family oriented swimming beach Swanpool also boasts a water sports rental facility and a “bouncy castle” feature for the little ones. The cafe is the diamond in the rough. Many varieties of sandwiches—hot and cold—quiche, etc. are on the menu. Highly recommend anything with their excellent garlic ciabatta bread. A bit light on amount of sandwich contents, but that’s not unusual over here. Ice cream looked to die for. Young people manning the kitchen and counter were very friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Really pleasant to do business with. Again, a very nice surprise.

Sadly not this time though. The ice creams are all £3.20, which is more than enough to pay for an ice cream. This time they wanted £5.00 for a hedgehog ice cream due to the “increased price of hazelnuts”. ABSOLUTELY NOT paying that for an ice cream. £1.80 increase, I think you are taking the proverbial. I settled for a cuppa too at 1/3 of the price.

When opened up I found it had salad in. Returned and asked for it to be remade, which it was. Having returned to car a second time I opened it up to find onion in the mayo. So again had to return it - this time I asked for and was given a refund. Lunchtime totally ruined for me as i had come to the area to birdwatch and had paid for 2 hours parking. So I never got my lunch until much later. I wouldn't have an issue apart from fact I said I wanted plain mayo and also no salad and was very clear about that. Having just reviewed another place for ice cream I was reminded of this cafe as though I am not a huge ice cream fan I do think it's very very good here. A few years ago I used to come here with Molly the dog who became a maniac on the beach such so that she would not allow me any respite here or in Gylly. I had to bribe her with ice cream to shut her up. Should I feel guilty for clogging her arteries, perhaps so but I am happy to say she lived to 22. Though I was made to consider my actions one day when an older lady (I am no spring chicken myself) looked on in horror at Molly sitting up with me being fed her ice cream crying out in horror "I have seen everything now, a dog being given icecream!"

It can get really busy and sometimes takes a long time for food to arrive - but also worth a visit after a walk when the weather isn't great - the colours of the sea and beach are wonderful and the seating area is sheltered so a nice place to sit with a warm coffee and pastry! Child friendly as they can run around on the beach and you can see them - although you do have to drag your pram across a small span of sand to reach the cafe.

We booked afternoon tea for family celebrations. Afternoon tea was presented beautifully and was delicious. Our waitress Pinka was friendly and looked after us. The special offer was a bonus too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

Went for a coffee and was told could only have take away as it was 15:40 on a Sunday, my wife and I are both disabled and I have an ostomy and asked to use the loo and was told I could only if I buy something, so it cost me 7 quid for two takeaway coffees just to use the loo....thanks national trust

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x
