We have just had the most wonderful experience at our new favourite pub! Called in on the hop just to get a bite and check it out. Wonderful setting, interior and exterior absolutely beautiful. Staff were wonderful. Quick, really polite and attentive. Food-great selections available on menu. We had Caesar salad and the monkfish. It was first class. Really beautifully cooked and presented. Wine also very nice. Would have probably stayed longer but the annoying scousers complaining put us off! Not your fault the swan, we’ll be back!

Lovely village pub. We moored on the nearby canal and took a 10 minute walk in. Lovely atmosphere. Great food well cooked and presented - a little on the pricey side to be honest. If I had one observation it was on service - I sought some clarification on a meal I was ordering, the server clearly did not know the details of the food and worse could not understand why I was asking.

We visited on our narrowboat but really wanted to stay...forever!. From entering to leaving and without a booking we were looked after by Lillian and team in an amazing way. They made us feel very welcome and almost like we were regulars. The food was faultless (Double cheese burger, and 4 bar nibbles). We have recently travelled all over the country and this is one of the finest pubs (top 3) that we have been lucky enough to visit. Immaculately clean also which is pretty rare. Keep up the good work! Love from Dave and Rachel....Narrowboat Holly x

Visited from the canal at lunchtime on a Monday. Pub busy with pleasant atmosphere. Menu so good that had three courses and coffee - all excellent. The crab starter and the gilt bream were cooked perfectly and flavoured well. Staff were friendly and professional. Definitely recommend.

Best pub in the local area hands down, been a couple of times now but this pub has our hearts, all the staff are so nice and friendly, this Easter Sunday was truly special with the best roasts and vast wine selection, the team should be proud of themselves truly for all their hard work

We had a great lunch here this week. We sat next to a roaring log burner and throughly enjoyed our food. I had the Goats cheese and beetroot salad which was gorgeous. Both the members of staff were spot on. Thank you 😊

Booked in for Sunday lunch and apart from there being no beef left at 4:30 the pork was lovely. Only given 3 stars because of the manager with attitude !. The rest of the staff were very nice and nothing was too much trouble, the manager could perhaps take a lesson out of their book in how to be kind and polite to customers instead of being so “condescending” .

This is such a lovely pub to have dinner. The moment you walk in you feel welcomed and there is a lovely ambience. Our meal was delicious with generous helpings- we actually couldn’t fit in desert! Also, good wine list and reasonably priced. Will definitely return next time we are in the area

We visited The Swan at Marbury to celebrate a family birthday. We were given our own semi-private area with a lovely big table and we had the most delicious food! Everyone was happy with their meal; the portion sizes were generous and the roast dinners were perfect. The service was also excellent; nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. We will definitely return soon!

Used to be a local in the 90s and revisited this evening to see how things had moved on. Food / service was excellent and clearly a large investment has been made and transformed this village pub. If you're into Brunning & Price style this is for you and worth a look if you'd usually use The Combermere Arms. Plenty of welcoming bar space with casual dining with wood burners plus a garden room offering more formal dining. Plenty of parking too. Highly recommended!

Warm friendly staff/atmosphere very welcoming. Food homemade, top quality especially steak and Ale pie. Very accommodating with picky eaters. Reasonably priced. Worth a visit only 10 mins walk from Canal. Under new management.

Quite looking forward to a delicious meal but as soon as we walked in the atmosphere put a dampner on the evening. The host was positively hostile. The food to be fair was ok. Never felt so unwelcome.

I had an evening in the swan last week with the ther half and the dogs while we where having a canal boat holiday on the llangollen hotel. We moored up before the first lock after Wrenbury boat yard and walked left for about 5 minutes to find the pub.

We visited with a few families during Christmas period. The service was great, very accommodating as there were a lot of us. The food came quick and it was delicious. The only downside was old fashioned way of billing and took us a while to split the bill, other than that you cannot fault this great pub. We will be back!

Really good, freshly-cooked pub food. Decent beers, friendly service and reasonable prices. Lovely old-school, generous puddings too. The menu choice is limited but if that ensures everything is fresh and of a high quality then that's fine by us. Had a great evening meal here with the family and would certainly visit again.

We look forward to our weekly visit to Kazzy's Kitchen for a delicious vegetarian breakfast/brunch. It's a clean, bright and warm café with outside seating when the weather allows. Janet and Rachel are friendly and offer a great service in a lovely local café. A visit to Kazzy's Kitchen is highly recommended.
