Had a pint with a mate then drove home. Few days later. Parking fine for £60. Took it back in and saw the parking sign when I returned. They reduced the fine to £20. Most expensive pint of my life. Never going back. Do yourself a favour and go to the pub other side of the traffic lights.

Sat in the car in the car park for 10 minutes on a phone call as I was intending to go to petrrol station next door. Dark no lights in car park to get £100 parking charge for 10 minutes Car park was fairly deserted and didn’t see any signs Looks a crap pub too, won’t be going back there ever again!

Have been popping in all week for a drink as here on holiday but tonight picked up a take away. God it was lush, freshly cooked fish and chips and sausage and chips. If back in the area will be returning. Dog friendly. Thank you for your warm welcome

Beautiful place, loads of history. Enjoy visiting for a short walk through the woods and gardens, then a nice bun and coffee ☕😁. Fully recommend a visit, Staff very friendly.

I fancied a Friday tea time feed. We chose the Rockingham Arms. I had quite possibly the best Fish and Chips I have tasted. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the home made tartar sauce was a delight. My girlfriend had the chicken stroganoff. Both dishes were fantastic, accompanied with a couple of drinks each. All for just under £60. Will be returning again very soon. 👍

We dined for Sunday today and ordered the sSirloin Beef. The Strip loin we were served had connective tissue all the way through both dinners. It must have been ‘Steer Beef’ as had no fat on and was very tight grained; possibly not English beef. The potatoes seemed like frozen potatoes. Very little flavour in any of the produce on the plate. Paid my bill and left within 20 minutes. Michael Goole

Not bad, but not the best either. Lacking choice in the village. Two pubs, but both are below average.
