Sutton Snax in Plymouth

Staying in a small guest house stood the corner, on the for breakfast and stumbled across this cafe. Food was freshly made, fresh cakes and delicious. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, so much so that e returned the next day before going home. We will most definitely return next time we are in Plymouth.

The lady and gentleman here are absolutely amazing, so welcoming and kind and they really care about every single customer and the care they put into their food is the exact same! Their food is always top quality, and for an amazing price. I absolutely recommend going here!

Without a doubt the best business in Plymouth. Nothing they do at Sutton Snax's is revolutionary, on the contrary, they excel in the basics largely forgotten by chains: customer service, quality of ingredients and speed of service. You can tell they are an integral part of the community by the way they interact with regulars, but as a newcomer it felt like walking into my mother's kitchen.

Friendly staff, excellent service and hot bacon roll/sausage and egg was very tasty, so good we re-visited a couple of days later! Would thoroughly recommend if you’re in this area of Plymouth.

Could live off the Lenny Special, every time I’ve been to Sutton Snax’s the food has been absolutely amazing and the service is top notch!

Little gem of a place We had gone for breakfast in a barbican restaurant that finished serving breakfast at 11:30 so couldn’t see anything else on the menu we wanted so decided to walk home after coffee So had a bacon roll and a Brie and ham with chill jam roll in SuttonSnaxs. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had can highly recommend this place friendly quick and very very reasonable.

Really nice food and service from a well established cafe. Bread is always very fresh and excellent quality, food is always hot and well presented sandwiches are sliced and salt and pepper and condiments offered. Hot specials are always delicious and excellent value. Today there were complimentary festive snacks and drinks. Good honest cafe with lovely staff. Merry Christmas to all at Sutton Snax

This place is impeccably presented and the customer service is perfect. The food is fabulous and reasonably priced. What more can you possibly want?

Bacon and egg roll delicious, lovely friendly staff.

It's a sandwich/snack shop. Mine's usually egg and bacon in a bap, early in the morning, to eat on the way to work. You can take away, freshly made and hot, or eat it at one of the three or four little round tables. In summer, what looks like windows turn out to fold away, and you can have a table in the sun in the large area of pavement outside. They have drinks, too, and you can specify your preferences to a high degree - e.g. crispy or not crispy bacon and they get it right. It's a good place to pass through for a filling snack, taking a rest to eat in, or taking of with you. They also do a variety of deserts. Parking isn't easy - but you are not there for long. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly. Can't see that you can ask for much more from a snack shop.

This is a new favourite place for me and a few friends to go and eat, we used to go to a very famous burger place on the barbican but due to a decline in food quality and price rises in recent years we have stopped going there. Here is our new hangout. Food is always amazing, staff are always friendly and we are always greeted with a smile, and when we leave there is always a thank you and have a good day. I cannot express how great sutton snax is. Only shame for us is that it shuts at 4pm, so no evening hangouts for us. But over all amazing, please keep up the good work 😀

Lovely little breakfast takeaway, didn't quite cater for vegans but did their best to work around us so we all got to eat. Lovely service and very friendly.

Amazing Egg and Bacon rolls! (Other great food is available!)

We regularly stay in the Premier inn across from Sutton Snax and whilst other sandwich places are probably more famous the wide range of fresh sandwiches and snacks produced by Sutton Snax is hard to beat. On this occasion we had and tuna salad on wholemeal which were very nice. Just the ticket for a picnic by the Sound.

A little tucked away but make sure to make effort you find this gem of a cafe. Cheerily served great food and large portions. Nothing is too much trouble.

A hidden gem on Sutton Road. Great selection of fresh sarnies, quiches, pasties, etc... If you can wait a short time, the freshly cooked BLT's are amazeballs!

Huge portions for the price and all made fresh while you wait. Nice location but parking can be an issue, but this isn't the stores fault. Would recommend

Brilliant family feel Cafe. If it's a takeaway cup of tea, a bacon bap, a cheese burger or even fresh home made sandwich. Sutton Snaxs will sort you right out, always busy and never a wait. Very quick service with a professional and clean establishment.

Everything is good, breakfast bap is the muts nuts. The cakes are too good. Staff are lovely, all the food is fresh.

A totally different place to the one we visited last year, the two women serving were surly and unhelpful. Made us feel unwanted as customers it was almost too much for them to serve us. Last time it was quite the opposite the staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful. Do not know what has happened. We had planned to have coffee and cakes probably Lardy cake!!but decided just to have coffee because of their attitude. Please review your attitude ladies, you need happy customers!!

Lovely hot and cold sandwiches and rolls, reasonably priced served by friendly staff.

My friend and I stopped off here after the cinema and were extremely impressed by the food on offer and such good prices staff were so helpful and friendly plus the food was prepared fresh while we waited they certainly make a good mug of tea and there were some really nice cakes on offer well worth a visit we will be calling again I am sure.

Friendly enough my husband and I had sausage's in a bap which was quite nice and the coffee was nice.

My wife and I were staying in a nearby hotel we saw this place out of the window. What a lovely place. Two ladies inside were very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent and the Americano coffee was very good.

A strange experience here. Came in for lunch and there was a quiche with a salad along with other sandwiches. I ask for the quiche which was warmed and put on another plate and handed over. I ask if I could have the salad which sat on the original plate and the lady picked up a large leaf of lettuce and waved it around saying "oh no this is just for show". I mean what is "show salad"? Other that the fact I bought the quiche on the impression it came with a salad, do they reuse the "show salad" each day? If so then what is days old salad doing next to the supposedly fresh quiche I was served. But... if the "show" salad was fresh they why not serve it with the quiche which it shared a plate with which I chose it. Either way the piece of quiche was then very overpriced and looked pretty lonely on a plate by itself. For the same price you'd get a freshly made sandwich with real salad and chips about 700m away at the QAB Marina Cafe.

I used to work down the fish Quay gary and the girls are fantastic really good food at fantastic prices and the banter is great

The gentleman in there is always so welcoming, I've been in there a good five times now and he's like it every time! I've had a few pasties/sandwiches that have been really tasty and there's a really wide choice of drinks and sweets!

Needs inprovments got order wrong once due to lack of listening one staff member rude and blunt others ok although prices cheap food tasty

Simply the best value, quality, cooked to order snacks. Sausage Bap brown sauce awesome, Rock Buns massive, great staff spotlessly clean great selection have visited many times when get a chance never fails to impress have introduced 2 work colleagues they will be back.

The lady and gentleman who were working in the cafe were both so friendly.. the cafe itself was immaculate and the food was amazing! :)

Yum, I've been coming here for decades and its a good no nonsense value for money place.The rolls are excellent. Try the cheese & onion and the Ham ones. Pity the lardy cake isnt the same. Health rules I suppose. Boooo.

We have discovered this lovely place since getting rid of our car. We call in on our way to the vue it is spotlessly clean all the food looks lovely and a great cup of tea . There prices are amazing 79p for a cuppa The staff are friendly and service is really QuickTime the boss the film was brilliant

This cafe is absolutely filthy. The owner is like a meerkat constantly being nosey over the counter. Most Probably looking out for the food hygiene standards agency !!! The reviews on other sites are absolutely right , this place is just terrible why go there when there's so many lovely places 2 mins from this dirty cafe !!!!

Popped in on the spur of a moment on business to grab something hot whilst driving out of Plymouth. Went for their special egg bacon and mayo hot bap. OMG in local dialect Proper Hansom it was.

Open early every morning and sometimes on Sunday half marathon great takeaway great good great staff great cakes and buns everybody loves the friendly service and you will never have a bad snax try it you won't be disapointed

Parking is hit and miss but the food is OK, the staff are friendly and efficient and the prices about average. The grammar on the sign remains an eccentricity.

I have used this cafe quite a lot in the past as I lived in the area. It's always been ok until I had food poisoning from there . The owner who is normally over the top nice to customers soon changed his tune when I politely told I didn't feel well after eating his bacon and eggs . Not only will I not be going back because of that also I know they buy a lot of there ham from the local poundland. Shame it's gone badly downhill .

Although you can sit down to eat here, perhaps 5 small tables at most, this place is better known as a takeaway. Nip in get what you want and be on your way. Good, fast service with a smile, I think the pasties are bought in but taste good and, as with all items on offer here, they are good value for what you pay.

I stayed in Plymouth for a week with work and I used this place for my breakfast. They make really tasty breakfast rolls which are great value and the cafe is very clean and welcoming. Great little place

If you can park this is a good place to call in for a takeaway or eat in snack. Fairly priced. Quickly put together and served. Pity about the sign and spelling but everyone round here just calls it Snax..

A very pleasant clean an comfortable place to sit for a snack and a drink, whenever visiting the area for any reason.I have been going to Sutton Snax for a number of years, summer and winter alike, doesnt matter if its a while between vists, they always remember you. Always friendly, always excellent value for money. Sandwiches, rolls and pastries are superb, made fresh and always tasty.Happy to recommend the place :-)Robert

Yep the name is a mess. Snax would do. But it is a quick, value, tasty set up which I have used several time and is useful in this bit of Coxside.

The pointless apostrophe in the name completely ruined my experience, would change review if they'd change the sign, IT'S MEANT TO BE SNAXS, unless someone called Snax owns the place, I don't think they do though.

This little corner cafe is very basic but cannot be faulted. The staff are friendly and helpful, the filled rolls freshly made, the custard slice was delicious and plenty for two people at 99p! If you are staying at the Premier Inn or visiting the Plymouth and West Devon Record Office, you should call in.

If I'm passing and there is a parking spot then I often drop in to grab a snack or occasionally sit in for a hot drink. It is spacious and the staff and not only friendly but well drilled. A good example of a cafe snack bar for this light industrial area.
