Sushi Haven in Barnet

I’ve been here on many occasions and ordered takeaway / delivery frequently. Very well priced. Fish is fresh. Never had a stomach problem in the 200+ times I’ve been there. No menu variation or special dishes, ever. That’s a shame. Missing some standard Japanese dishes which I’d expect to see: - horenso goma ae (blanched spinach with sesame sauce) - agedashi dofu - otoro / chutoro - ikura (salmon eggs) - inarizushi - tamagoyaki - saba (mackerel) If the owners read this, please consider adding these to the menu !

Hands down the best Sushi on the planet, tastes like Japan! And a special thank you to the manager who gave me extra napkins and sauce!

The customer service was great and the staff were very helpful. Shout out to Pnina who was very attentive. 5 stars all round 😁

PROS * Good tasting sushi * Quickly prepared orders * Very pleasing and pleasantly presented * Very reasonable prices * Very brisk take away trade * Good long hours * Good variety of drinks (see my "helpful" photos) * Official kosher rabbinic supervision CONS * Minimal accommodation for sitting and eating- the place is basically a carry out "I VISITED THIS PLACE"... ... because I was walking along Golders Green Road and looking for a place to find kosher authorized and supervised food that was tasty, could be delivered, prepared and served quickly, had long open hours and was reasonably priced, This place tikked all those boxes... and more. I went there every late evening to buy two sushi rolls for my next morning's breakfast- a good deal at a good price. WAS IT WORTH THE PRICE? Yes for sure WOULD I COME HERE AGAIN? Yes for sure ADVICES * Don't plan on sitting- it's better to do carryout take away * If you come after ke2200H, maybe you could buy the prepared pre packaged and unsold sushi rolls for half price- that's what I did

Really good sushi place to grab a lunch. This is a kosher restaurant as well. Poke bowls were really good and well priced. Very fresh tasty food . Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Not at all fresh, one box stank so bad, you could smell it through the bag. The other covered in onions so i couldnt smell - unfortunately opened that first and ate half. The bite that made me stop was the bite with the super dry rice that had clearly dried out due to being exposed to air. Spent last 12+ hours dealing with it. Requested refund and they tried to tell me to come and bring it back myself - wow - despite being a takeaway order, and them knowing how far i am as they just dropped it off (trying to refuse refund) luckily deliveroo helped me claim my money back. BIG AVOID. Get tesco sushi before you go here. **response** Just seen through past orders it was your Edgware branch which alongside not putting orders as complete so you cant complain to deliveroo - also doesnt have a google maps page, therefore no option to leave a review. Worthy of an audit. Still currently struggling over HALF a box that i ate.

Terrible service and extremely rude woman answering the phone. I made an order and when I asked for a delivery update I was asked why I ordered gluten free rolls if there was no allergies, only intolerance. (As if this answered the question) extremely pricey as well, I spent £82 plus on a large platter. Won’t be returning my service.

Edgware- Ordered takeaway for 12:30 bur when arrivedto pick it up we were told they were too short staffed. This was an hour and a half after placing the order! They should have let us know before we drove over 5 1/2 miles to collect it. They say they will make it but it won't be ready until 1:20 pm.

This was the most delicious Sushi I've had,Dream roll the best.great with vodka as a snack on the airplane back to Miami.i give five stars

Good Sushi, appalling service. placed an order at 5.00pm for delivery 7.00-7.30pm paid all ok. got a text about 6.45 to say they had cancelled the order. It then took 20 mins to get through to be told they were too busy, so company policy is to randomly cancel orders. not too happy! The manager agreed to make the order for me to pickup within 30 mins. arrived to collect and hadn't even started the order. To make it worse staff making Sushi NOT wearing masks !! Sushi Haven could not care less avoid till they improve.

REALLY REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. After calling to place an order 2hrs before intended pick up time - they told us to email them our order as they are too busy. Spend 10 mins writing an email with them to confirm that the order would be ready to pick up at 8pm. 20 minutes later we get an email saying that they can’t complete the order as they are too busy. Bear in mind that the order was worth more that 150£. We call up - the man on the receiving end is EXTREMELY RUDE, LOW PATIENCE AND JUST ABRUPT. He hangs up the phone. Why answer the phone in the first place if you are too busy to take any orders ? Especially in these times, where business is scarce and much of the food industry has to work twice as hard or more - shouldn’t sushi ‘haven’ want business? The service is horrific and the management/ staff are incompetent, taking business and customers for granted. They do not value customer service, nor have respect for the industry. Perhaps rename the restaurant SUSHI HELL ?

This was for a delivery that was ordered. Sushi is good when you FINALLY get it. Telephone manner of gentleman who answered the phone was rude , abrupt and downright diabolical not once but twice when we had to call!!!! Dont think we will be ordering again anytime soon. It's a shame that said gentleman has the job of answering the phone put us right off!

They've got a great selection of very good sushi, the rice was spot on and I really liked their order system: It's all digital with iPads at the tables. Paid 14GBP for a Miso soup, a sushi roll, a selection of Nigiri (which again was quite good!) and a coke zero. Actually wanted to tip them but the waiter didn't want any...that's a new one too! Definetly recommend!

Lo siento, pero he vuelto a visitar varias veces y el sushi es constantemente malo. Las porciones muy pequeñas no ayudan, pero la calidad del pescado y el arroz que usan es atroz. Es comida horrible y necesita mejorar. La mejor alternativa local es atariya, la mayoría de los establecimientos de servicio de sushi kosher (piense en Slice, Moshe's) tienen sushi superior.

Many frum Jewish people only tend to eat fish round the Three Weeks. Yet this tiny eatery merits more frequent visits. As a sushi bar it is kept scrupulously clean. The food is varied and tasty, and extremely good value. I have been here twice in the last two months (living in Reading this means I choose this restaurant over others nearby) once with my wife and once with my son. The Chinese staff are polite and courteous and Kashrut is clearly very important to them - one guy got me to light the blowtorch as per Halacha as his pilot had gone out. High standards of cuisine, Kashrut abd cleanliness. Great food and decent prices. If you haven't tried sushi come here and give it a go. It's worth coming from Reading to eat here!! Went with my husband for the all you can eat deal. Great value for money, and no limit on the amount you can order. Sushi was delicious. Definitely reccomend!

They have a very wide variety of sushi options, and we ordered 3 items all of which were delicious! We will be back

The sushi was absolutely delicious every time, freshly made and great value for money. Absolutely recommended.

I used to make sushi. Initially, this was because you simply couldn't buy Kosher sushi, and later because the Kosher sushi available was, frankly, mediocre. I no longer make sushi, and this is wholly down to Sushi Haven opening - the diversity of ingredients is more than I could achieve at home, and the quality is superb. Most importantly, the rice in the sushi is (usually) perfectly soft, springy, slightly sweet and sour - nowhere else (Kosher) in London seems to achieve this near-perfection. The fish portions are generous, the taste is fantastic and the prices extremely reasonable. The options for takeaway include single rolls or sushi/ngiri, snack boxes and platters. For two, I would recommend the mini-platter; about 35 pieces of sushi, which makes for a filling meal. For a single person, I would recommend one of the snack boxes, which includes combinations of ngiri, sashimi, hand rolls or sushi. The only thing missing is somewhere to sit down and eat, this being a takeaway concession in Kosher Kingdom (Kosher grocery store). I buy sushi from Sushi Haven a couple of times each month, and hope to continue doing so..

The sushi always tastes fresh. It is deliciously made. there are all kinds of combinations available. Platters are good value for money and excellent to share with friends.

Not bad value for kosher sushi, really yummy selection and all tastes fresh and delicious. They all do have a few unusual ones such as fake crab and mango sushi mmmm yum!
