Overall, the food was very mediocre. The all you can eat buffet menu wasn't bad value. Ordering was via an app, which was tricky as you had to go through a confusing process just to order an extra drink. Before coming, we called up to ensure that they specifically had gluten free options and we were told that they were able to cater for our gluten free guest. However, when we arrived there were no proper gluten free dishes and the only options were steamed rice and boiled edamame beans! The staff were polite.

It is an excellent place for an all-you-can-eat. It's faster, and it has a variety of dishes I don't recommend gyozas or spring rolls; they are too oil. Sushi could be better, but as an all-you-can-eat is ok. Sweet potato sushi and teriyaki salmon were my best!

Japanese buffet (a la carte option is available) restaurant with the novelty of using your smartphone to place your order. Features clean but generic decor, it is quite spacious but you may still need to book in advance for larger groups. Food is prepared fresh and of decent standard but definitely leans towards quantity over quality. Adjust expectations and you won't be disappointed.

Unfortunately this places uses frozon fish for their sushi, so when it arrives it's pretty chilled and the texture is pretty gross, their hot section is OK but I would avoid the katsu chicken and pork as its the thinnest piece of meat I've ever seen in a katsu. Also their soy sauce and wasabi is bland and doesn't compliment the food. I would personally not go back especially that it's not the cheapest for sushi buffets and the quality is quite bad.

This is was the first time I went to sushimania. I was excited until the I was discriminated for being a vegetarian. Their bottomless menu had a lot more options for non-vegetarian however, when I asked if they could replace few of the options I was told that I would have to order from Al a crate menu and pay additional cost on top. For example they have chicken gyoza but no vegetarian gyoza. It is ridiculous in this day and age that vegetarians are being openly discriminated like this. It’s a really good place for the non veg options bottomless but as a vegetarian I would not recommend it. The waitresses I found quiet rude too and very robotic in their answers. Would I got there again, mmmm not too sure.. they really need have the same amount of options for vegetarians as well as non veg in their bottomless menu.

I think the service in this branch is far better than the one in Golders Green. Although the food is freshly prepared in both places, the serving time is much better in this branch, and staff availability was really good. Also, they now have an easy app ordering system although you have to be on their WiFi for it to work and the speed was a bit slow. Finally, I like that they included the photos of dishes on their app to make it easy to find and order what we need.

Worst Sushimania branch by far! I feel sorry for the staff since they were nice , but the owner or manager of the store was a complete inconvenience. I came here for my daughter's birthday and he thought it was okay to charge my son (2 yrs old) for the buffet when he was asleep. I told him prior that he was not going to eat and he still insisted he was going to charge me. So we ended up going for Al a carte and when the teriyaki chicken arrived there was no teriyaki sauce on it... And the staff told me I had to pay for sauce. Again worst branch by far , the atmosphere is just not welcoming and we left as soon as we finished what we ordered. Will not recommend. But please do go to the other branches you will have a much more better experience.

Me, my husband and my daughter all had serious diarrhea for three days after going there for a buffet. Spent a around 80 pounds for two adults and a small child, but feeling very sick after celebrating my birthday there. And the waiter had never asked us for which menu we wanted and ordered the food in a very complicated way, shifting lunch to a buffet, and he changed the menu again even without asking/confirming with us. Never go back again.

for the price the place is great but thats all it has to say for itself. food is nothing special, whats horrific is the customer service. staff is always uptight and rushing about without giving any polite care to customers. perhaps this is evidence of faulty management but i could not eat comfortably in that restaurant. when ordering the waitress remarked that i was ordering too much which is none of her business and was frankly unacceptably rude.

Lunchtime they offer 50% off. Good if you want to have 1 or 2 dishes. If you want something more, then go for the All You Can Eat Buffet. £18.80 per person, excluding drinks. You can choose lots of sushi or tempura or noodles and I can assure you that the quality is superb. The sushi and sashimi is fresh and excellent, in particular the salmon. Since I moved to North London, this became my favourite Sushi place. The fish is tender, fresh, tasty. Never had any bad food allergy or any posoning or indigestion of any kind. Highly recommended

When I was planning to go I called the shop to see what time they close which one of a the lady staff replied with 3 I said oh that's fine but the lady was not in the mood and decide to yell at me and say things like "what is wrong with that and you can check online we're busy" I was sceptical to go but my partner really wanted to when we arrived the lady recognised my voice and asked me if it was me that called I said yes and she gave me a dead stare look she run to a table said sit here and storm off. When it came to our order our food was coming extremely late. The food was good and at the end I asked them a question again about to our server which was a young lady which replied but 2 staff that overheard 1 male and 1 female started shouting around the room. It made me feel like they really wanted me off their store as soon as possible. Great place bad staff

One of our preferred places to eat sushi buffet. This restaurant isn't very close to where we live (but still within reasonable distance), but for convenience we go to another sushi restaurant closer to home, however if we are out and about, we definitely choose to go here. Service is very prompt (order via an app now), and staff are friendly. The sushi is better quality and the servings/cuts of the sushi are a lot more generous than other places. To add, they give your little one a lollipop when you leave (if you want your litter one to have one). Would definitely recommend this place.

One of the most vile revolting places I have ever eaten in. The food would not arrive after ordering numerous times and when some of the orders came it was as if I was eating what I can best describe as matter, would be an outrage to call it food. The staff are useless and just nod but clearly have no clue what is going on, also the springroll sauce was clearly off, the staff told us "this is how it tastes". I had no clue sweet and sour sauce should taste like rotting vinegar... avoid at all costs me and my partner were mortified by the experience!

Sweet chilli sauce was off and they insisted that it was ‘how it was meant to taste’. Concerned my partner and I may have food poisoning as still feeling sick an hour after leaving and only had one small taste of the sauce. Was totally put of my food after this and the staff were not accommodating. Ordered chicken katsu and salmon temaki twice on all you can eat and it never came. Been before and it was never bad, won’t be going back. Sushi was decent though.

Used to be semi-decent but now it is awful. On Tuesday 13th August, we went there for a meal and unfortunately took away food poisoning. The Finchley Branch and Head Office's attitude being informed of the food poisoning was appalling, pretty dismissive. To paraphrase the manager when I informed her that we all became ill was "What do you expect me to do about it?" Public Health England have been in contact with me and my dinner companion and are investigating the outbreak as it now appears our case was not isolated, as are Barnet Council.

There is Sushimania, and then there is Sushimania North Finchley! Thanks to its friendly staff and restaurant manager Lilly, this is my favourite eatery. Not only because they give you all you can eat including the perfect Salmom Nigiri which is just perfectly balanced, but all the food is incredible, the staff are great. Visited today to which I got the all you can eat for 2 which was around £18.80 per person. The food was below standard, we probably ate enough to cost the resturant £5.00 worth of food. The issue was when it came to paying the bill. I requested the staff to remove the discretionary service charge to which i was told "why what was wrong, was the service not good?" After i stated I just feel its too much and It is my choice, I was told by the female waiter that students are able to pay and that she won't get any money as she is only paid from tips to which i said is nonsense, I had to argue for 5 minutes which is completely outrageous to get the service charge removed to which I was told if I don't pay service charge I won't be served from her ever again. I would never have expected that nor would I ever return or recommend this shop ever. I should have got the name of the waiter but unfortunately I did not. It was a female staff that was there just after 4:30pm.

Food is decent quality, especially for the price it’s good value. Customer service non-existent. We had to ask for soy dishes, the waitress put down the drinks with spilling and not saying anything or cleaning up, and it’s a mission if you’d like to order something else after your initial order, even in a quiet time.

Good choices for sushi and especially the hot food. Recommend the you udon and beef stir fry. The sushi is tightly packed rice and tasty, though the hand rolls we ordered didn't have much fish in them The all you can eat is a nice way to go large with good sushi and food, but not end up with a huge bill. For 4 people our bill came out at 85 with service included

Awful experience couldn't relax and enjoy my food. Why are you having all you can eat buffet if you don't want people to eat all they can. Not that we ate a lot tbf. Pineapple juice was also off. Sushi and hot food was OK nothing special. The prawn tempura was the best thing on the menu we had ordered. I've been coming here for years but I can truly say this place has gone down hill. I came here with my son and mum for a lunch time buffet. We were greeted by friendly staff who came over to explain how to order the food via the app. The only thing we didn't really like was using the app to order food. Its very time consuming and a bit annoying as we were trying to order food as our food came out, just in case we had to wait long. However the food came to us in a timely manner which was good.The sushi and the hot food were very good and tasty. Everything we ordered tasted fresh, the restaurant was busy and we never had any issues.Only thing is why I haven't scored more is because as a family we like to sit and talk without having our phones out etc. That's my only issue as it breaks up conversations as one of us is trying to order food for the rest of us. Not sure if this has always been like that or its something new as it was our first time coming here. Would come here again!

Be very careful of the King Prawns in this restaurant - Terribly ill with food poisoning for 3 days that came from a kind prawn noodle dish. The annoying thing is that when i contacted the restaurant to inform them and to hopefully stop somebody else being served the same batch of prawns I was told to produce a letter from my doctor and they would look into it further ! This is not the kind of answer that you want to hear from the restaurant manager....

I am a vegetarian and had meat on my food, when we raised the issue with the staff and asked for a new dish, the staff were extremely rude and defensive. They attempted to justify why there was meat on a vegetarian dish and said it wasnt an issue and that theyve never had a vegetarian complain about food - which is absolutely ridiculous because what vegetarian wants meat on their food. They charged us to take our left overs home despite paying for it. We requested to not pay for the service charge and they were refusing, after some argument they agreed. In covid times, the manager touched us on the back and when we asked to not be touched or come close to they proceeded to shout at us. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, do not recommend. Can get better sushi elsewhere.

First of all after we ordered from the all you can eat menu and we founded out that the variety of dishes was reduced . After that we were waiting 35 min for food and when we reoder we wait another 40 min. I called the manager for make a complain and he said that he can't rush the kitchen member...which make no sense for me. I told him that the restaurant wasn't even full and this was unacceptable, at that time a waitress (she heard about everything happened before ) give us the sushi that we were waiting. The rice of the sushi was HOT...properly hot ! that comprise the quality of the salmon and the others ingredients. The manager didn't even apologise...for this reason we will never comes back there.

The buffet is set at a great price and there is a wide selection of Japanese food to have. Nigiri, Maki, Tempura, Katsu, Rolls and even some salmon sashimi to boot. It has a bit of a modern ordering system which requires a webapp and all ordering in done through this. Sadly when we ate, there were items that still didn't come through and we had the chase them up. The staff are attentive, helpful and assist quickly. But what you really want to know about is the food. First is that the food is taken out as soon as it's done. This means that fried food is delivered ASAP and still scaldingly hot in certain cases. This I find is great but seemed to apply for many other things... Our sushi started to come out with warm rice. It was warm enough to start heating up the raw fish on top of the rice and this had put off the table from further sushi orders. It was sad because we had mainly wanted this. For the buffet style, there is also more rice than expected on maki and nigiri. Very chunky and not balanced with the fish well. Drinks are as usual marked up and some other guest had brought their own in it seemed. If the sushi rice temperature had colder, this would have been a solid 4. There is decent fresh food to be had here but unfortunately my visit had a few issues.

I go to this outstanding place once a month as I love the ambiance that is outline this place. The crew is very cordial and qualified. The service is very fast. Not to mention, the food they cook is magnificent. I visited many times and I was always delighted. The rate is decent. I recommend this place to all my friends.

No physical distancing on tables and restaurant was so crowded. They have given us a crappy table and when we ask to be transferred the staff is quite rude. They do not control the people coming in. You’ll have to wait for 45 minutes to 1 hr for your food to arrive and staff attitude is terrible.

I like this spot! They serve good food, their menu is decent, The chief cook in that spot is very experienced, I enjoy a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are always fresh, the attitude towards the customers is nice. I often go to this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it to all.

Extremely disappointed with my experience in this restaurant. would NOT recommend!!! First of all, the staff made me feel very UNwelcoming as I was slow at getting my mask out of my pocket. Instead of saying ‘please put a mask on’ the waitress went ‘where is your mask?’ in an aggressive manner. This attitude really put me off dining in this place. Then my friend and I were warned by the unfriendly staff that we were ordering too much food even though we were extremely hungry and was still IN THE MIDDLE of eating. Then the waitress spilled soy sauce on my friend’s phone and did NOT apologise. the food was of POOR quality especially the stir fry udon and the ramen, as they were very greasy with technically nothing else but the udon itself when it was supposed to come with vegetable as well. The ramen was tasteless like it was made with tap water. Not a surprise that I felt sick after eating in this place, the food quality was so poorly and I would recommend people to AVOID dining at this restaurant. Lastly, my friend and I communicated our concerns regards to the restaurant service to the manager, but the answer we got was ‘oh this is just a small local business, you are probably more suitable for fine dining’ which sounds absolutely ridiculous! The staff should know to treat customers WITH RESPECT and provide service in a friendly manner NO MATTER how big or small the business is!!!

3 months ago this place was a lovely family friendly restaurant, now possibly the worst places I have eaten in my entire life. The waitress was extremely un welcoming and was constantly telling us that masks had to be worn whilst eating, spilt soy sauce over my phone and didn't apologise when she noticed it. Where do i even start, my friend ended up feeling sick as soon as we left sushimania, still not sure what it was but wouldn't be surprised if it was the sushi as it tasted several weeks old. The udon noodles tasted so greasy as if it had been reused and placed in the microwave and the food was cold. The price has also increased for the all you can eat and the place which I use to go for the past 6 years has turned horrid. New management after the lockdown i guess? Also as we were about to leave just explained to the manager how we were treated and the fact that we had to go get water ourselves and the rude chinese man said this isn't fine dining so get use to it!!! What is even more shocking is how the restaurant was practically empty and instead of the waiter coming over to our table they were staring blankly at the wall whilst hovering around the restaurant as if they had nothing to do. Never will i return again!! Poor poor poor and deserve no stars

Every branch of Sushimania I have been to is good on quality and portion size. The 50% off a la carte deal during lunchtime and after 9pm is amazing. Rolls are inventive and packed with quality ingredients and very well presented. All the fish used tastes great and of a high standard. Service is good and attentive and the addition of ordering by app makes things even slicker. Good compliance with covid safe measures - tables were well spaced out, premises were clean (as always) and plenty of hand sanitiser about the restaurant. Very impressed and can only recommend Sushimania.
