Sabina and Cameron are credits to the team, we have been coming a long time and the service they bring is second to none. They are personable and always working so hard to ensure exceptional service! A credit to your team!

Excellent atmosphere, staff were attentive and friendly, the food was nice. The bogof burger was really delicious. Would recommend!!!!!

We were diverted from the M25 and decided to stop for lunch. A very good decision as the meal was served very quickly . The Jamaican Chicken Stew cooked by chef Costa was very tasty.

Felt very intimidated and threatened by the owner, wasn't the most pleasant person to talk to, made accusations about me and my party, didn't look like he cared about his staff or his customers.

A great local pub, with really nice food and fantastic staff! We find the team are always fantastic, very professional and attentive and clearly want you to have a good time when there. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing !! This pub is local to me but never really popped in so this evening I thought why not give it a try and I could not fault it one bit I was served by two young ladies one blonde one brunette didn’t catch there names tho !! The food was incredible I myself had the gammon and it was beautifully cooked with a lovely egg with a runny yolk which some places is very hard to find ! Over all lovely pub lovely atmosphere will definitely be coming back in due course :) keep up the good work

We were invited to join family members for a pub dinner. And were exceptionally embarrassed at the state your pub The Surrey in Woking was in. On entry there was a major leak in the roof infront of the bar, water dripping everywhere. On the way to our seats the toilet smell lingered and where we were sitting the toilet smell followed , the toilets themselves were disgusting. Paper everywhere and smelled awful both in men’s and woman’s. My husband had a rib eye skillet and the steak that he got was not rib eye, the onions were mushy and the peas old. Mine was loaded chicken and fries, the fries were old and had just been reheated, the chicken hard and the salsa well old and awful, queso was cold and lumpy, not to mention my plate itself.. the china was filthy. We are in the food industry ourselves and know that this is definitely not what good food looks like - poor standards overall. Also very concerning that the chef is wearing sliders without socks in the kitchen if we had seen this prior to ordering we would most definitely have not eaten there. Service was extremely bad also. Ordering from the app was a nightmare too. The lady serving said it would be better for us to go to the bar and get our orders as they don’t hear the online orders coming through. I have visited many Green Kings and I can definitely say that The Surrey in Woking is the absolute worst I’ve seen. Very disappointing and for the money we spent we definitely expected better.

We came across this pub after being told by the website it was a Hungry Horse and turned out not to be. No big deal but would have been nice to be informed. The food was good enough, with a lot of choice and was very tasty. We ordered our food through the app which came up quickly. We had to wait until after our starter to get our drinks despite asking for them, when the first course came up. I was told that it was someone else’s fault. When I had to ask a second time, I got an eye roll from the waitress. Eventually the drinks arrived. The same waitress came over and asked if we were ready for our main course, whilst we were still eating our starters. She seemed really put out when my wife said that we weren’t ready. We got the same lack of customer service when the main meal arrived. It was only when I went to the bar to find out her name, that her attitude changed and she couldn’t have been nicer for the last third of the meal. Appalling really that I had to complain to get good customer service. All in all good food, good drinks (eventually) and there are glimpses of good customer service, but evidently you have to ask for that!

This pub advertises its opening time as 11:00 and kitchen opening time as 11:30 but after specifically travelling a long way, when I arrived at 11:40, it was closed. Was told it opens at 12:00 and they were trying to get the website changed but that’s simply not good enough. Wasted my time and petrol

Not been to The Surrey in quite a while but a mate was raving about their food recently... it was just average the last time we went. Been back about 3 times this month so far as the food is truly FANTASTIC. No more Harvester for my wife and I! The Surrey offers bigger portions, is much tastier, much cheaper and just around the corner and has lovely attentive staff x

Booked for a wake.Agreed, they couldn’t have been more accommodating . nothing too much trouble, so easy to organise with the manager and much better communication than other people I had spoken to at different venues.

Family Christmas get together drinks were ruined by the most obnoxious self righteous “manager “!!!! Please avoid the same treatment!!!

This was such a great choice for my sister's funeral! We had a private section of the pub set aside for us. The food we ordered was amazing, plentiful and such value. The staff were amazing too. Very efficient and cheerful. The pub is easy walking distance of the crematorium which is so useful so don't look anywhere else!

Given the location, if you’re looking for a venue to hold a wake, I’d highly recommend The Surrey. A spacious car park and interior means they can accommodate large (or small) groups easily, we didn’t feel crowded in. The catering offering provides a great selection and the food we had was excellent, everyone commented how tasty it all was and there was plenty - we ended up taking a lot home. The staff were all super helpful and very efficient, thank you all so much.

We went to the Surrey pub September 2023 with work friends( just lady’s ), we had cocktails . Disco was great , definitely we will come back

Went here a staying locally overnight and have to say we weren’t disappointed. We had a sharing chicken platter and it was plenty for our needs. (2 adults 1 child) Although we did add onion rings as an extra to the platter. Drinks were reasonable prices, and the added bonus the night we were there were the bikers that were leaving as we left a sight my husband enjoyed. Also my husband has an AA card which offers a reduction off you food bill.

Whilst visiting in the area a friend and I called in for an early dinner, wished we hadn't. The whole place seemed grubby. We ordered food and sat with our drinks. Food arrived and actually looked quite nice. The young waiter asked if he could get anything else and we asked for vinegar. He disappeared only to return saying 'sorry we don't have any'. For a place that, at least, 95% of dishes come with chips, I couldn't believe. The chips went uneaten. Then the couple on the next table, who had overheard our conversation returned to the bar to enquire where their meal had got to. A member of staff returned, apologised and offered free drinks for 'the delay'. The wife then said to the husband to go round the corner to sainsburys and get vinegar. Wish I had known there was one so near but why leave it to customers to go, why did the staff not go and get a couple of bottles to pass around. When I asked, at the end of the experience, for my receipt, it actually took 3 members of staff to print it! Not a good experience.

We've been here many times, enjoyed steaks mainly. But this time, it's changed hands. The fish and chips was poor quality. But our main gripe is that the waiter/landlord was wearing t-shirt and shorts which displayed his bottom every time he bent over. We will not be visiting again

Went a couple of days ago for lunch. The food wasn't great, but at least it was hot. I had to wait a long time to catch our waitress for another round of drinks. Not attentive service at all, and came across a little condescending. Won't be back!

Not a pub I would usually visit, I hear mixed opinions and just haven’t bothered. Then the first World Cup match with some pals last minute changed from 1 venue to here. Glad it did too, they squeezed us in without having booked, atmosphere was great, busy little pub with the football on, I think they could have benefited from an extra member of staff or 3, but just unfortunate for the staff who were really pushed at times. Food was alright, did the job for picking at during beer fuelled football. We then watched the other England games there and the final. Will be our go to for sports beer dads meetings 👍🏼

We come for dinner and drink with my colleagues from work ( leaving dinner ), food are very good , everything in manageable prices . Lady at the bar ( Sabina ), are very helpful and professional.

We have passed The Surrey a few times but have been slightly put off as it looks like a sports pub. However, we called in today with our elderly mother for lunch and received a nice friendly welcome from Lorraine. The pub is attractive and clean inside and we had excellent, helpful service by JP. The food was well prepared and presented by Chef Chris. We all enjoyed our visit and tasty meals at The Surrey and will certainly call in again.

My friends and I had a blast. Lorraine served us and she was brilliant. Warm and funny and we wanted for nothing. Great selection of 0% alcohol. They even have a club.

The pub has become a go too place in the last year or so. The food is fantastic and the staff can't do enough to help you. Healthy banter and a great laugh. I can watch live sport feel safe and have my beloved chicken...

Haven't had a Sunday dinner in this pub for a very long time, took the plunge today and found it to be amazing! Costa had cooked the food deliciously hot, chicken was tender. I visited mid-week with my family and found the food to be delicious and very reasonably priced. Last week we said goodbye to my father at the Surrey, about 50 people came and so many of them have said how well we were looked after. The food was plentiful and delicious. Held my fathers wake here, and from initially booking to leaving the pub after wake every member of staff could not of been more attentive and professional. The food laid on was of an exceptional quality and plenty of it. Would highly recommend!
