Muffin Break in Woking

Worst all day breakfast we’ve ever had, not very hot, bacon like shoe leather, nothing like picture, fried eggs were ok! Coffee ok, but whole thing was expensive. Not worth it. Staff very surly, as if everything was too much and they didn’t want to be there.

Came in for a peppermint tea and got 2 pieces of mud cake to take away. Had the cake this evening and even though stored in the refrigerator in the bag it came in, the cake was so very very dry.

First time visit: Coffee & Hot chocolate were both hot and really nice, spinach & feta quiche was lovely, packed with ingredients and sausage roll was really nice too. (Partners choice) Service was friendly & prompt, a few tables tables did still need clearing but it was just after lunch rush, so probs still catching up. Overall good experience.

breakfast with a friend. I recommend delicious wraps, very filling, 1 is enough and you won't be hungry for a long time. The cafe is clean, there are plenty of seats and friendly customer service

chose the place because I wanted a freshly baked scone... order came minus the scone

Loved the mud cake and carrot cake. The hot chocolate is one of the best I have tasted in a while. My favorite thing about the sweet treats is they aren’t too sweet, just right. Unfortunately no internet but, it’s same with most shops in the mall. I’m really happy I found this place!

It’s an alright establishment, just kind of strange to have no free Wi-Fi in a coffee shop? I’m pretty sure they’re using an internet blocker of some sort because I can’t even use my own data in there? Also, minor complaint: they’ve sold Brie and bacon paninis but with no cranberry sauce in the past and when I asked if they could put some in they said they had none at all. Now it’s Christmas they’ve started making Brie and cranberry paninis and took out the bacon!? Just seems pretty silly to put one thing in and take the other thing out.. anyway, apart from those two problems it’s a nice atmosphere. If they could sort out what I mentioned it would be perfect.

Refused delivery. Ordered at 12.15pm with the estimated delivery times of 12.45 - 1pm then it changed to 1 - 1.30pm and attempted to deliver at 2.32pm when we went out to get food from the supermarket instead. Will be attempting a full refund from just eat.

This is always a favourite barista to visit when in the shopping centre. Always clean, quick service with a lovely environment. Along with Gabby serving us today, providing us with great customer service :))

Just a compliment - the two ladies who closed the Grosvenor store on the evening of 14/09/2023 showed more humanity and compassion than I've witnessed in a long time. There was an elderly woman, who looked a bit dishevelled, not leaving the store upon closure time. The two staff members sat with her and talked for a while, offered her a refreshment, and ensured that she was aware and safe before closing the store. Where others would've kicked out the enderly woman (who did look a bit out of sort) your staff dealt with her in the most amazing way. Good on them!

£4.10 for this pathetic cheese and tomato toastie ! It’s way over priced, I wouldn’t mind if it at least tasted nice!

Not sure how people are rating the food here as good?? I ordered a sausage and egg bagel and what was served was something looking, feeling as tasting like rubber/plastic The egg was obviously cooked the day before and the bagel was stale, the sausage patty had a thick layer of lard/ congealed fat covering it My son ordered a bacon roll, what came out was another stale, rock hard bread roll with something the size of a postage stamp and about as thin, trying to pass itself off as actual bacon, but was mostly fat Then onto the pastries…… AGAIN……. STALE!!! The worst food in Staines by a mile!! If your looking for cold, stale, rock hard food then this place is for you

Ordered a bagel, nowhere did it mention it would come with cheese. I have an allergy to diary so couldn’t eat this and even if I could, the bagel was rock hard and my partner struggled to bite into it.

Milkshake was more like flavoured milk panini was was dry

They serve the coffee dangerously hot - I think due to over-steaming the milk. Coffee should be drinkable on serving, otherwise it destroys the taste.

As someone with a sweet tooth, I’ve never eaten at the muffin break franchise however am sad I didn’t. The carrot Bundt cake was a delight. Will be heading there when I get home to Cardiff.

Awful experience! Ordered a chai latte, brie & bacon panini and a gingerbread muffin. Got - No drink, a BLT sandwich that was dried out & had barely an bacon (and I couldn't eat as a substitute anyway because I hate tomato and that was 2/3 of the sandwich!) and an apple muffin. This isn't the first time they have randomly subbed things and not refunded for missing items, but is by far the worst. Will not be using them again!

Awful came in ordered 3 panini the meats where cold and the cheese had not melted service was poor a woman shouted us not to sit on one of the tables they was cleaning there was no other chairs Staff not pleasant and not friendly willl never visits again

Delicious biscoff milkshake! I did ask for no cream and got some (not the end of the world.) I also got a roasted pepper wrap omg was delicious. Bit pricey but was very nice and quality made.

I came here for breakfast and sometimes it’s good but lately when I’ve ordered toast it is almost burnt and they have had no jam at all this week. Sometimes it’s good though

Absolutely discusting milkshake. One foreign lady who works there with blonde hair was rude and also charged £4.50 for tasteless only milk milkshale when it was meant to be biscoff!!!

Smell as you walk through the shopping centre is vile and strong. Smells burnt and like gone off milk 🤮

Ordered a caramel latte and a bacon brie panini through Uber eats. No Brie noticed, wouldn’t recommend.The coffee was great tho, thank you.

Had a delivery through uber eats food half of the items were missing and the rest inedible bacon and brie panini so dry no brie in it could have broken windows with the food phone number on Google not in service waste of money, wouldn't recommend to anyone...one word AWFUL!!!

Staff very disorganised this morning (7th Feb 2022). I ordered a slice of the red velvet cake to take away. They don't have take away boxes and they allowed other customers who were waiting behind me to jump the queue. Yes, they let the other customers behind pay for their oders and when I challenged the staff, they said that I had already paid (when I hadn't). I insisted that I pay and the staff didn't deserve any gratitude from me. For all they knew, I could've walked off without paying. The staff need to get themselves on the straight and narrow.

Allergens are not correctly labelled. Ordered a chicken, chorizo and mozzarella panini, to find it contained red pesto only from reading the receipt. I have a severe nut allergy and this item was not correctly labelled on their counter, yet other panini's with pesto in, were labelled on the allergen list. Really dangerous to incorrectly label food for allergy sufferers... if not life threatening. Informed the server, and was simply refunded the cost of the item. No apology nor compensation. Will not visit again and would not recommend for allergy sufferers. Disappointing.

A couple of very honest hard working girls at this cafe! I left my wallet on a table with a tracker in it and lucky made it back before they closed and they had put it aside. I have £80 cash in it. Thank you very much. The muffins and shakes are very nice also!

I tried to call the restaurant But number wasn’t connected and there was no option provided to cancel. I had to order something else to have food for my lunch break. Ordered at 12.30 for my lunch at 1… it finally arrived at 4.10 I told the driver to return it as I’d already asked for a refund from you, but he wouldn’t?! The smoked salmon bagel had obviously been sitting there so it was stale and I had to throw it away!

Cake tasted weird and would've been better to have been served in a box rather than paper plate. Milkshake tasted ok but was too small. Prices too big.

If this establishment is the worst it's surely getting there.

Cake and muffins were lovely. Panini looked unappetising and definitely something that would be sent back if in the coffee shop. Didn't taste any better than it looked. Delivery took way too long for something so simple. All in all, definitely not worth the price.

I ordered and the food was delicious! The seating was really comfortable and the cafe gave me a warm welcome. Although it is a little more expensive personally I think the investment is worth it. Way better than McDonald's, will order again. 😀🤩

You will always get a tasty fresh muffin in here and each time theres another new flavour 😋 the only little downside is when you get a pot of tea the pot leaks and you lose a lot of it and they are rather small please bosses of muffin break could we have bigger tea pots other than that i will still go there oh and before i forget try the sausage rolls they are really nice.

Lovely daughter and mum day, we stopped for a snack and the service was great and food lovely.

Visited today for a muffin and a toastie, which was lovely. Served by a young lady who was really rude no please T customer service, went to my table and it was filthy, on looking around most the tables were filthy and had not been wiped over. Would be understandable if it was busy. Then the same young lady with blonde hair came over and just dumped my order down on a tray clearly seeing my table being dirty and turned before I could even say anything. Not even a smile or anything very rude service.

Quick service, reasonably priced. Would definitely go back if shopping in town.

I went Muffin Break in Staines for lunch, to be honest I was shocked how it running right now, when we are doing dealing with the COVID-19. The staffs were not wearing face shields or masks. Customers did not care about 2 meter distance. The tables were too close, but I did get a table far away. In the middle of eating my lunch, I had four customers decide to seat near me. Which made me quickly eat my lunch and leave straight away. The Muffin Break are acted like nothing has happen. Only positive thing was the food and drink.

Not the cheapest of places, lovely fruit scones with butter & jam.

Used to be lovely. First I ordered a bacon and brie panini which arrived to the table without any bacon in. Changed it for a chicken and bacon toastie which arrived with almost no bacon in it! Service lacklustre and products really poor for the price. Won't be returning

Lovely atmosphere inside, great for a little break. Coffee is OK, but their food and muffins were exceptional! Service is very friendly aswell, and quick. They don't leave mess on the tables and are really polite. Would really recommend a visit here.

Expensive muffin and was tasteless

Always enjoy the food here, however the tea pot design is awful and always pours half the tea over the table as well as in the cup.

I love coming here with friends and visiting family. No wifi signal, so you can talk. Also try their chicken pasta bake 'cake'. Lovely place for a coffee.

The guy behind the counter kept rushing me ,,I said I was choosing 2 cakes ,,he was more concerned about cleaning the shelves than serving me,I was the only person being served ,,I gave my order he said he would bring over our latta ,,10 mins later we were still waiting,he'd served at least 3 other people with drinks,I asked where it was ,it was then made finally and brought over ,,all in all not a nice experience,,we only sat down as we don't know our way around and we needed a coffee, won't be going again ,,

It's so refreshing to have somewhere different to stop for a drink when out shopping. Have stopped a couple of times now, staff have been friendly and attentive, and service personal, and the drinks have been fab - coffees, smoothies, milkshakes etc. Yum! Everytime we visit the food looks fab, but up to now we've not delved in...maybe next time!

The cakes are said to be freshly made in store but that is not the case. The mud cake I ordered did not taste free at all. Very disappointed.

Lovely place to stop off on a shopping trip. Such a wide choice of muffins with savoury and sweet. They even have vegan options available too! Staff are very friendly and the service is speedy. Would highly recommend as the coffee is great here too. Nice seating area available and very spacious.

Stopped by for lunch whilst shopping. Very nice selection of muffins, milkshakes, smoothies and sandwiches/savoury crossiants! Savoury croissant and bananna milkshake very delicious and fresh. All very nicely presented. Service was good and friendly.

Says it closes at 6 pm but at 4:45 they don't allow you to sit apart of 5 tables at the front. Nice coffee, that's why 2 stars instead of 1

The personal are very unwelcome, they said it close at 6, but la 4:30 they start cleaned and they let you to stay just in front where most of the table are busy

Delicious! I don't often leave reviews or go to coffee places because in this 'Costa Land', I tend to avoid them! Well, I had a delicious hot chocolate, one of the best I ever had in this country. The place was not hectic and noisy, it was relaxing and clean. I did not try a cake but they looked delicious too. Lots of options for people gluten and dairy free people. The staff were friendly. Can't say more. I will return!
