It's a good place because it's close to a playground and it's great for mothers with children, although the tables are rarely cleaned and it generally doesn't look very inviting.

Love this place! Even when it's crazy busy, they somehow keep the waiting times to a minimum. All of the team there are really nice and the place is always clean and tidy! The only thing I can suggest, is that god awful door that needs sorting out!! Tina is an absolute legend x

Banning people who smoke is wrong from sitting outside need more bigger tables and covered canapes up all year round

It's quite a busy and noisy Costa but there's seating outside which is quieter or you can get a take away and walk a couple of minutes to a bench by Goldsworth Park lake which us lovely.

A visit to Costa is always a treat for my family. We love our local Costa. The baristas are amazing. The location is great for a walk around the lake and a play in the park. The venue is clean and relaxing.

Sitting in Costa right now. Not for the first time have they placed untensils on the tray they claim are clean but certainly do not look it. Currenyly have a table arguing at the top of their voice and Costa supervisor says yhere is nothing they can do but I am welcome to leave as I complain. Shocking service.

Recent refurbishment was definitely needed and is a huge improvement.

I like using Costa Coffee and was pleased when opened up a shop just around the corner from where I live. The opening almost clashed with the Covid pandemic. It's a nice spacious cafe with comfortable seating. Lots of outside seating infront of the little playground for toddlers to use Nice coffee. reasonablypriced Plenty of parking.. A nice shop

I used to come here quite frequently, grab a coffee and have a walk around goldsworth park lake. Can get very busy during peak times, but no more than your usual coffee shop. Only thing is, the coffee does vary wildly on who’s serving you.

Very young workforce but are always really polite and try their best. There's a man with a bun who's always really quick with our drinks, theres a lovely woman I think is the manager, always friendly and polite. EDIT - One of the idiot workers waited 15 minutes to tell me their coffee machine was broken. I'd ordered a cold drink and a coffee. She looked so mopey, sloppy and disinterested when telling me this. I asked for a refund "you gottaa call customaaa serviceeee" will no longer buy coffee here.

For £2.85 you want a good cup of black Americano. I received a weak cup of caramel coloured disappointment. I'd take a 99p McDonalds coffee over this anyday. No plans to return.

The two staff work their socks off yet are always polite and helpful

Staff are friendly and polite but the young ones there are not being trained too well and are left unsupervised. Not their fault, they're there to learn, but without supervision they are slow and inefficient when it's very busy. Can do better with better management

Always a great place to grab a cuppa, easy access to the lake, waitrose, post office, boots and a charity shop. Literally the perfect spot!

2nd time we have ordered a delivery and costa have left out one of the items. The other sandwiches were all bent up and filling hanging out. Won't order from them again. Don't blame uber eats.

Fantastic service, it was busy but I didn’t feel rushed, professional, knowledgeable and above all smiled. The coffee was good, the place clean, and I even got table service without asking, ( I have trouble carrying things) The two guys on service were called James and Jack, well done guys!!!!!

Yesterday 31st August Friend of mine and I wanted to get a cup of coffee before we go round the lake at 18:49 the doors were locked. The barista inside knew we were at the door but wouldn't open the door he shut the shop before its closing time!!!!

Every time I get something from here it tastes different every single time. The drinks are always tepid & weak tasting and it says something when the food is hotter than the drinks. I generally go for cold drinks now because my thought process is “how wrong can they get a cold drink?” Turns out they don’t know how to do iced teas and the blended ice drinks. The chocolate mint drink has so much bright green mint syrup it looks nuclear and tastes like toothpaste. The only drink they can do consistently is the mango and passion fruit cooler.

Friendly staff nice and clean inside

I went here the other week with my two sons. I felt the manager was quite rude to younger employees and very bossy. She also nearly knocked over my youngest son when walking. I won’t be coming here again. Not impressed at all.

My nan and I had a lovely latte each. Plenty of seats and good service. Polite lady brought it over to us. I guess it depends what time you come here. Come on customers it’s not like it’s fine dining. Give the staff a break. If you have a problem tell them.

I have visited this costa many times as it is local to me. Sadly this branch is following a policy of very hard sell by all its staff. You can't just turn up at the counter and say what you want and expect that to be it. Oh no. First they will ask you if you want to have the special blend of coffee. They don't tell you it costs 20p more. Then they ask you if you want any cakes. Then they ask you if you want any sandwiches. Then they ask you if you want to buy a reusable cup. That's four things you have to listen to, before you can complete your transaction. As well as the excessive selling being very irritating, the time it takes to do this with every customer leads to each transaction taking longer and queues building up unnecessarily. This happens every time I go in. It's reached the stage where I go there much less often than I used to before this policy. As far as I'm concerned, instead of the hard sell making more money, it's losing it. And to cap it all, the tables now have stickers on them to say they are cleaned between each customer. Clearly not that well though as yesterday I was treated to the previous customer's biscuit crumbs where I sat.

Absolutely horrible service . My toastie was packed in the same bag as my cake which was completely melted . This is the second time it's happened . Costa need to teach their workers how to package this food and not to put hot ans cold food together. Absolutely bunch of incompetent people working there. Disgusting. Never again !

Yes this is definitely one of the better Costa Coffee Shops I have visited, even in recent years! If you want a calm atmosphere, leaving the stress to the helpful staff then this is for you. Hygiene is a priority and at this time, the price and quality of the product is also something you would come to expect.

Staff rude, tried to give me a filthy glass and when I asked if they could change it for another (before they started to make my tea he picked up the tea bag from the filthy glass and threw it into a new cup after touching my money as he loudly mutter ‘there’s nothing wrong with it’ The girl cleaning tables after people had left was only wiping crumbs onto the floor with a reusable cloth rather than spraying leaving chemicals to do their anti bac thing then wiping with disposable blue roll There was no NHS track and trace QR code available only the other code Toilet Filthy and in need of a deep clean especially in today’s pandemic Will not be returning

I cannot fault the friendly, efficient service and great coffee at this branch in the Costa chain. They go out of their way to be welcoming and to engage with their customers but not in an intrusive way. They keep a keen eye on cleanliness, regularly clearing tables.

All the staff are great in the store apart form Adam he keep giving me and other people dirty looks also like talk under he breath and never gets a order right and will argue if he does get it wrong If this guy is working I will not buy or even go in the shop

This is a fabulous Costa Coffee shop. Why? There is service with a smile. Service is exceptional. Well done Costa Coffee, Goldsworth Park Centre. The coffee was also the best I had tasted in a Costa. Could it be that with good service comes good coffee or with good service the customer feels more positive about the cafe and the coffee? The staff were also very helpful regarding the needs of the children we had in our group. Well done again. How it should be done!

Costa coffee is my ultimate favourite coffee shop. I’ve been to many but I must say Goldsworth store is my favourite. It’s clean, staff are polite and so hard working i can see it’s managed so well. I never have any problems with my order & the coffee is made just how I like it. I am a regular there now 😁

Regularly visit here, as it is my local coffee shop. Staff are always friendly and ready to help. The coffee is always really nice, and the food is pretty good too, if you're after a quick snack.

It is situated just a few minutes from the lake with its amazing views and a recreation area for children . So take a break at Costa.The hot chocolate is a must. I am told that the coffeeis not bad either lol . Plenty of snacks to choose from . The staff is always curtesy and helpful.

Spent over an hour at this Costa. The service was unbelievably good – Our waitron remembered our orders exactly on repeat without any prompting. The food quality and cleanliness of the restaurant were also 100%.

I wasn’t happy with the toilets they were so dirty, the coffee machine looked like it needed a good clean too .

I had been a very regular customer with Costa until it followed the MRNSB (morally righteous non-smoking policy brigade), plastered on all outside tables with bold A4 cig-exclsuision banners. Other than myself, there are a fair few many other smokers' that also enjoyed the civilized immunity that corporation coffee outlets, dared not turn away customers based purely upon prejudiced human activity to follow a utalitarian social norm!. Whilst there are plenty of counter-arguments out there to wipe clean my right to written opinion, must also recognize that a great many people in immediate society often feel alienated, whether because they are mentally ill or too obese to be liked by everyone. Costa has now officially been awarded the exlusive club-cost-a-lot addmission. Most definitely not affordable to go there daily, yet I did spend more in the shop at least 3 times a week so as not to restrict myself to my local village cafe's as an isolated person. Arguably, there is a children's playground directly adjacent to the cafe and concerned parents would no doubt have likely complained about the antisocial habit of smoking - regardless of the fact that there is a car park, steaming out HAP toxins per engine rev!. Though am not studied in the sciences, am very aware that these harmful gases can be vaped anywhere in the world apart from the Marriana Trench. Whoever decided the onslaught of MRNSB are perhaps the most lonliest on the planet and my sympathies should lie solidly with them if not for the fact that they kill and litter duck ponds with takeaways and leached bread.

NOT great....Went in the other day on Saturday and asked for a blended iced drink, was told the machine wasnt working. As I was leaving 30 mins later heard one of the girls behind the counter say to her colluege "Yeah we are just telling people the blender isn't working because its too much effort". Nice work Costa!!

I come here everyday at 7 o'clock, the service is great and I like the coffe aswell, but today I'm still waiting a outside becouse it looks like they no gonna open... I don't mind if a least they tellus, the customers becouse in the door still said open at 7 o'clock so I'm very disappointed I hope this not happend a lot becouse I will not come back.

Not too impressed with Costa, the coffee is always very weak and not very hot. Definitely not for a second coffee. I rather go farther away for a tasty coffee.

Not in an obvious location (just south off the High Street) but a good size with plenty of seating. Visited on a very busy Saturday morning in June, but service was friendly and as prompt as it could be. Usual selection of cakes, pastries and savoury goods - well made cappuccinos. Will happily return!

This store never ever lets me down,the service is all so good,and the staff our really first class.it has become the hub of all the local people old and young ,its not often that you can go to a coffee shop and feel like part of the community but here you do ,i always tell people abut how good this store is compared to other in the area , so please say a big big thank you all the staff,who with out ,would not be the same
