Costa Coffee in Woking

Awful branch of Costa Coffee with dirty tables and litter on floor. The noise level is abnormally high with both loud background music and people talking loudly to try and be heard above it. It didn’t help that some of the parents (with young children) were allowing their little tykes to run around the cafe shrieking disturbing other customers whilst their mums just stayed glued looking at their phones! It appears easier to ignore your own child’s poor behaviour and glare at others than it is to deal with being a parent…. Definitely a Costa Coffee to avoid!

i like this costa very friendly staff, great selection of food. hollie is so helpful very friendly always on the ball sometimes she’s having to do everything herself which i feel sorry for her as there’s a couple of people there ‘supposed’ to help but look like deers in headlights! her drinks are so creamy and delicious.

Avoid at all costs this costa is a dreadful place. Soulless, very dirty and just not a nice place to visit. Staff man ok woman yawning and unsuited to customer facing role.

Appalling service, staff extremely unhelpful, walk off when talking to you, always so slow even when there are three staff working. Please take your business elsewhere in the village where customer service is so much better.

Good service and ok Coffe not as good as the other coffee shop opposite. Which is much nicer and family run business really makes a huge difference.

Went in to get a medium hot chocolate customer service was good , service was slow especially with no queue. As the queue developed there was sense of urgency. When we got the drink seemed ok , drove home with it as I was drinking it it seemed just like drinking hot milk. Emptied it when I got home and it hasn’t even been remotely stirred just powder at the bottom . Really disappointed.

Costa Coffee is a nice place at West Bayfleet, a place to visit on a regular basis .

Awful. Spilt liquids left for ages, graffiti on windows, shabby, staff overwhelmed (only because independent coffee shop other side of the road was crazy busy). Disabled lady with walking aid ignored. Just awful. Prices over £1 more than other local coffee shops. Avoid. Used to be nice but it's not now.

I only have coffee here. I never had any food except porridge a couple of times. It's good, I am a health geek. The thing I noticed was the tables are cleared now, but they are not wiped with a disinfectant. It's mostly filled with mothers and children.

Decent enough for a Costa. Drink quality varies depending on who's making it. Staff friendly and chatty but for a £4 coffee I expect the quality to be at least brand standard whoever makes it.

Disgusting the state of the tables it was.If you can't cope with cleaning the tables just hire more staff

Tbh I prefer the coffee in Cafe Nero but this store has a HUGE selection of food. It does take a little longer to get served but that's because the staff are so friendly and talk to everyone :) Update: Still takes a long time to get served but still nice and friendly.

Excellent team. Smiley, welcoming, remember their regulars orders. Kept tidy. Easy to park. Convenient location. I recommend.

Service hit & miss. Some drinks not available,beven though listed Tables always dirty, rest rooms abysmal. Have had to change local coffee haunt.

I was served by the manager who was extremely rude and unprofessional towards me. After he took my order I couldn’t help but notice him quietly being verbally aggressive towards what looked like a relative new employee. This made me extremely upset and I won’t be returning unless this new manager leaves. Please bring back Rosie

Been a regular here for a while but ever since the new manager has come he has been rude to customers and even more rude to his staff. I loved Rosie’s positive energy which the new manager just doesn’t bring. If I could give 0 stars I would!

I have seen a similar comment below and I observed also the atmosphere/attitude by manager(?) with his staff is not pleasant. Being strict to improve service is valuable but being aggressive in public is not the way for sure

Went in for my usual coffee and noticed that there’s a new manager, the way he was speaking to staff made me uncomfortable. There’s no need for it they were working hard and he was being constantly passive aggressive and picking on them. There was a tense atmosphere, which is a shame as I used to like the cheery mood among the staff.

Love Costa but I do wish they'd have some healthier options for lunch!

Lovely costa. Quick service but they weren't the most efficient. Toilets could be cleaner but were ultimately fit for purpose. Plenty of spaces to sit

Pop in to get a coffee before train arrived. Waited over 10mins for it to be made, 3 people behind counter and none really knew what they were doing. Coffee eventually made but was lukewarm. Would have taken back but would have missed train.

Always a challenge visiting this Costa. Woefully understaffed and poorly managed. There have been many times where there's only been one person serving and making drinks with 8+ people waiting only to have another employee appear 10 minutes later from the back room.

Great idea and job and amazing food

Hadn't been to that branch for a while! Has it changed management? Dirty, scruffy and unacceptable hygiene. It is never pleasant to see the guy behind tge counter cuff his nose with his hand! I asked them if they could please clear the table from the previous customers. Upon my second extremely polite request I was basically told NO! I was told to either wait until they could or move to another table, because I could see they had a long queue and were busy. SERIOUSLY??? So safety and hygiene is their least important priority! I am happy to clean table myself but some places won't let you! Since Covid, hygiene safety standards have dropped even lower than before Covid because there is such a shortage of staff! Not going back there again!

Most of the staff are lovely and their service is great. But there is one female staff member with glasses who in incredibly rude! I don’t come in for your attitude, I come in to relax and have a nice coffee. I’m always polite and say please and thank you, so there is no need for your rudeness. You work in a customer focused business, you work there to serve people not give off a insolent and disrespectful attitude. I shall be going to an alternative Coffee shop in future due to todays experience.

New staff are rude especially the girl with the curly ginger hair and glasses she mocks her customers with the staff in front of them and finds it funny find it absolutely disgusting bring on the old staff back they had more respect to there customers

Usually a good experience but today, when I ordered my drink, they gave me the wrong one. I went back to try to resolve the issue, expecting to be given a refund or have my drink switched, but instead, they told me that they had got it correct and I had ordered something similar to the one I originally wanted not the specific drink. I think this is unacceptable customer service from an employee. Overall, I don't think the company or the shop in its self are great, but this employee was rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend.

I came here for breakfast with two of my friends and normally there are no issues. Today was an exception. I ordered without any problem, but then I received a different drink to what I originally ordered. I expected this to be an honest mistake, so, to resolve this, I went up to the counter to switch my beverage. To my dismay, the server me, who was named Lili, told me that I did order what I received and I was not able to switch my drink. In addition, the order I ‘placed’ was £1.30 more expensive; this was an issue as I felt as though I was being robbed of my money. I understand that this employee may not be enjoying her job at the moment or could be dealing with personal issues, but that is no excuse. Overall, an appalling experience; I would not recommend.

I went for Ice coffee.. Waited for good 20 minutes in the queue. Also emty tables and almost all of dirty with plates in it. Spend 3.50 on Coffee, becouse I thought in this very sunny day, treat myself. And the staff only 2 people. Not enough.

Very quick service that makes your coffee in less than a minute every time I went. Friendly staff and extra credit for remembering my coffee order. Spacious place to study.

Great for the variety of drinks available but also good ideas for 'snacks'. Good place to stay and simply relax.

Very quiet, popped in whilst waiting for an appointment, friendly staff, clean, plenty of space and plenty of seats. Only issue which is beyond thier means is the parking outside

Lovely spacious coffee shop, with chill out sofa areas or table and chairs. Table and chairs outside to. We seemed to of arrived when it was mummy and babys catch up time, wanted to sit outside but unfortunately one table had decided to put all there rubbish on the tables and shopping on chairs they cpuld see we was looking for a table but made no effort to offer to move the above. Im unfortunately on crutches as had a knee replacement managed to find a table in the corner with a sofa. The coffee was excellent but unfortunately the salted caramel donut tasted stale so i left it.

Allowed customers to mix for hours a time pre lock down. Now recovering from covid Many customers not wearing masks. Including the early morning super cars team. Been to the gym but exempt from mask wearing. Large queue inside. People who think coffee is a essential need won't need oxygen. No respect for NHS none

Trying to order ahead on the app was an absolute nightmare but eventually ordered and paid. Got to the store quicker than anticipated but were assured they were "on it". 🤣🤣 Friendly, helpful staff, good atmosphere and really nice food and drinks from the festive menu. Not sure about the app, but definitely recommend the store. 👍

It felt quite safe in Costa. The staff were friendly and prompt and I had a nice cup of coffee. It wasn't too busy when I went so I had assumed every other table was "out of order" but I think it's just the way people spaced themselves. As we left someone came and sat right next to us. Not Costa's fault per se, but I'd be happier if there were less tables spaces further apart

Only two stars because one of our coffees was ok. Moody miserable staff both serving on the till and on coffee. Asked for 2 flat whites one was OK the other was awful, looked like she'd just tipped the leftover milk in a cup. Asked for a new one and no apology just a dirty look and rude tone of voice. Second one they made wasnt with the new roast which I had paid for. Barely got a glance when ordering and no smile, no trying to upsell anything, we had to ask for the new roast ourselves, expecting it to have been offered to us. Was expecting better from quite a new store. Obviously some of the staff need more customer service training. Won't be coming back, too much trouble getting a half decent coffee.

As usual a Great cup of coffee,staff always polite and helpful nothing is too much trouble can totally recommend it.

Given it is next to a train station the service needs to be brisker. My latte tasted slightly of the coconut milk that the preceding customer had. Perhaps my impatience meant that a thorough clean was not conducted? I am sorry to give a poor review but I do think this venue can and should be better.

Finally got round to venturing into the new Costa since its move round to number 44 Station Approach (from No.13). It is a lovely bright airy new cafe, which I hope the staff continue to maintain well. During my visit I was served by very friendly and helpful staff and the offering was the usual Costa fare you would expect, all of which was made/warmed perfectly well. The only slight negative was the service was a tad slow, as it appeared a little disorganised, but I hope this is just a settling in period and things will become slicker as things settle in.

Now in nice new premises, around the corner and nearer to the station. Wish they'd fix the constant Wi-Fi interference from nearby HP laptop. Seems connected with Costa rather than customer since was always present in the old shop too. Pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. One of my favourite coffee shops.

Hot chocolate was ok, muffin was not. It was all in one side of the bun .

Always good, until today where the lady seemed sarcastic & apologising to the other customerfor having to spend time with me to make my coffee, I think needs to work on her customer service as she doesn't seem to want to be there, disappointed to say the least. Rude and miserable staff, two ladies behind the counter this morning (one with strong makeup and blond hair and other with reddish hair), seemed extremely unhappy, one of them spoke so quietly I couldn't understand her and that made her laugh at me. Brrrrr awful experience

Usual Costa coffee shop. Staff were nice but getting served took a while. I had a meringue which was converted into an eton mess (with the meringue intact though). It was actually very nice, the meringue had a nice texture to it.

Its a Costa Coffee shop which is very close to the train station. It serves typical different varieties of coffee/ lattes etc etc with tasty fresh cake snacks, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend

Website states that this Costa Shop is open until 7pm. The door has a different closing time of 6.30pm. We arrived just after six and chose toasted sandwiches. We queued up and were told that they couldn’t do our toasties because they had shut their machine down. This is terrible service!!!

Always great to eat, drink and relax here.
