We have been a number of times for a family Sunday lunch and the welcome on arrival is always warm The service is friendly and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. The children's portion is enough for an adult and the adult portion is more then enough to satisfy a hungry appetite. I attach two pictures one of the child's chicken roast and one of the pork adults roast both plates were clean at the end of lunch. The food is well prepared and cooked and nicely presented. On my pork dinner the meat is over a variety of vegetables and the crackling on the pork was full of flavour. A jug of gravy was provided along with the usual condiments there really was nothing you could fault. Desert was excellent and crowned a lovely lunch.

Immediately regreted coming to this pub. The place smelt musky and like the windows hadn't been open for years. The outside and overall look of the pub looks like it had seen better days. Some of the picnic benches looked tired, and the grass was overgrown. The soup we had was extremely thin and spicey.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday roast last weekend. A friend has steak on a stone and two others had a giant Yorkshire pud with all meats. We all enjoyed our meals and really appreciated the jug of gravy and extra if wanted. Service and ambience were friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

This used to be a lovely pub? A garden and hanging baskets were beautiful. There’s no flowers at the front and the beer garden is full of dead plants, dog poo and broken garden furniture. The staff were nice, helpful and keen to serve. Such a shame, I wouldn’t go back it’s seems dirty and neglected.

Had a vegetarian Sunday roast it was absolutely awful. I waited a long time for the food. When the food did finally arrive I seen the the Burnt potatoes the veg burger they put on the plate was so cold I had a small bite it was so cold like it came out the fridge. After telling them they took the plate and returned within 3 min with the same plate microwaved. Never again. Still ended up paying £15 for the veg roast no apologies from the manager. Rubbish roast.

Sadly, I visited for a wake. The locals and atmosphere were very welcoming to us. They put out a lovely spread for us, and the cider was also lovely. If it was closer to home, it would have been one of my locals, except it doesn't have a pool table 😁.

The staff were really nice and friendly however, for the cost of the roast dinner was most disappointed. Was expecting a chicken breast or decent fillet but what came out was about a tablespoon of carved chicken that looked as of it had been peeled off the bone with a fork. Had 3x slices of carrots, anaemic looking veg and very non roasted potatoes. Someone in the group had roast pork which looked a lot nicer however the crackling was not crackled and would need a chainsaw to get through it. 5 of us ate there and 5 of us vowed to never eat there again. It was OK but nothing at all special and certainly not worth the money it cost in my opinion. The staff were really lovely tho on the upside.

The food was reasonably priced but quality wasn’t good cheese onion toasted sarnie limp a no filling mentioned to them a they replaced but was terrible a soggy a heard someone say put a whole onion in it! From round the corner .!!tuna sarnie more mayo than tuna running out all over the place was put on hot plate so that didn’t help ! crisps were hot ! so we won’t be going back again and wouldn’t recommend which is a shame as it’s local to us all and we were looking for a local on a regular basis .

A friendly, welcoming atmosphere for people and their dogs. There is a selection of books for those wanting a quiet read and it is comfortably warm (we visited in winter and temperature is a big issue for me - can't stand eating at pubs so cold you have to eat with your coat on). The Sunday roast was tasty traditional fayre with a selection of different roasts. The stuffing was too dry. I can't remember if they had a vegetarian option as we didn't have vegetarians in our party. It would be a good place to visit with kids in warmer months as the beer garden backs onto playing fields.

The attitude of the lady in charge was less than helpful. We were, eight adults and four children,pre-booked. As we wanted to pay separately we were advised to all go up and order together, giving the same table number. Two of the item that I wanted, were unavailable, at 1-30pm.when my meal arrived, it was awful, I sent it back, and was given a refund. All of us were upset with the service and quality of the food and service. The only ray of light, was when a man came on duty at 3 pm, and try to rectify a bad experience. some of us had finished our meal before our great-grandson was served. our 2-year-old Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Went here for dinner with friends and have to say the staff were very nice and the service was good but the menu is limited and the food was okay rather than anything special, I cannot say I would return as I found the place more like something out of the seventies with the décor including mock beams making for a very soulless atmosphere and it is a very basic pub in dire need of a good makeover..

We went for lunch on a Saturday and we were the only ones there for food, a few people were at the bar. By the time we had finished two more tables were occupied. The food was good, but the menu is quite small with only a couple vegetarian options. I also had the sticky toffee pudding, which in my opinion was actually a syrup sponge, but it sure tasted good and came with a healthy amount of custard! We probably wouldn't choose to go here for a meal again, but will definitely return for a drink. A nice choice of ales and lagers to try and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

We went for a lunchtime meal and were surprised how few people were there. The staff were friendly, the home made curry was our choice. The reason for marking it down was the very slow service - I don't know what they would do if it was busy. The menu was very good and reasonably priced. The food was very tasty and good value. The slow service was a disappointment but we will be trying there again as the slow service may be a one off having read other reviews.

Awful branch of Costa Coffee with dirty tables and litter on floor. The noise level is abnormally high with both loud background music and people talking loudly to try and be heard above it. It didn’t help that some of the parents (with young children) were allowing their little tykes to run around the cafe shrieking disturbing other customers whilst their mums just stayed glued looking at their phones! It appears easier to ignore your own child’s poor behaviour and glare at others than it is to deal with being a parent…. Definitely a Costa Coffee to avoid!

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch recently. Both of us had the chicken which was cooked perfectly. Roast potatoes nice and crispy and the Yorkshire was huge. (Way too big for me!) the vegetables was ok, but it would have been nice to have some cabbage or broccoli, but that’s just my taste. (We didn’t like the stuffing, sorry) Service was lovely! Thank you. If I could give one piece of advice, maybe choose larger plates for the roast as it was rather squashed and food fell off when trying to cut. Overall, a pleasant Sunday roast and we look forward to returning to try their weekday food. Thank you.

Had two medium americanos and one croissant. Price £9.40. The coffee was undrinkable for at least 10 minutes because it was way too hot. When it was drinkable it had very little taste of coffee. Our last visit. When we left the two staff were busy so I didn’t complain.
