Surbitonian Grind in Kingston upon Thames

One of my favourite cafes in Surbiton as it serves great coffee and food. So friendly - you are always welcomed back. Very well priced too. I often end up chatting to other people here - it’s got that sort of feeling here! Lots of regular customers and wonderful owners. Highly recommend 😊

Been a regular here since it opened. Coffee, toasted sandwiches and service are excellent. Most of all, the staff are always fantastic and it's just a nice place to have a bite to eat, drink and recharge. Somewhere you can feel totally co fortable on your own or with others.

This place really stands out amongst the bars and pubs of Surbiton and Tolworth. The size, the music, and the drinks are all great, but what really draws me here is the genuine welcoming atmosphere. The owner and the bar staff all know their stuff and take it seriously, but not at the expensive of a smile and a warm hello. Enjoying this place, whether it's just for one drink or a few, is effortless, and that's a rare thing to find.

This is the best coffee shop ever! Friendly staff, welcoming owner, amazing coffee and cake to die for! It’s just the best, eat in or take away everything is excellent all the time. We didn’t know we needed The Surbitonian Grind in our lives, but now we do we wonder how we managed without it!

Welcoming local cafe. The chap running the place really seems to take an interest in ensuring all the customers are cared and catered for.

Now that it's properly established and settled, the Surbitonian Grind is growing in confidence. Top coffee, a friendly welcome, excellent pastries and very good fresh bread. A good choice of tables and perches to sit at, although for some reason we always gravitate to 'our' table!

We came here as a group of friends in need of a quiet corner and had a really lovely time. The drinks and cakes are totally fantastic and the people running it are so kind and helpful. Definitely my favourite local cafe :)

A local community meeting place. The host will remember your name the second time you go. Wonderful choices of pastry and impeccable coffee. The espresso is my favorite.

Best coffee in Surbiton by far, go nearly every day and staff are always welcoming. In a short space of time, this has become my preferred spot for coffee.

This place is run by the loveliest people! My husband and I felt very welcome - after a long day we desperately wanted to just sit down and have a peaceful coffee, and, despite the cafe was already closing we were invited to stay a bit longer :) So we enjoyed great coffee, delicious pastry and a great conversation! Thank you guys, we will be back!

This is a lovely place, full of atmosphere and very friendly hosts. We were just passing by and we spotted the place from the car, it stood up in a plethora of plain facades. Once in we were welcomed with lovely smile (albeit behind a mask) and we had a great cappuccino served with an amaretto biscuits on the side. Love! Love! Love it! Thank you 😊

Perfect combo of warm ambience & excellent coffee. Once a tea girl, now a coffee convert! Toasties are the best around too!

With its smart new blue awning providing the perfect shelter for summer drizzle, Surbitonian Grind is proving its value as an excellent community coffee shop, a welcoming and friendly cafe and a good bread shop (top tip: turn up early for the biggest choice) as well... in all weathers.

Very good coffee. Cakes so good. Sandwiches - great fillings and plenty of it in such good bread. The breads on sale are very good. Staff so friendly and meeting them in itself is worth going to the Grind . Problem is that so many people now recognise how good it is that it is busy, But service and friendliness has not changed since it first opened.

The Surbitonian Grind is a wonderful coffee shop! The baristas are friendly, helpful and create a lovely atmosphere! I can’t recommend this place enough. I look forward to returning for another amazing coffee!

Exactly what the area was calling out for. Beautiful coffee, great bread (and sausage rolls), exceptional friendly service and nice of them to do a loyalty card to collect stamps to get a free coffee (unlike others in the area). Brilliant outfit - check it...
