A lovely pub with some great and friendly staff. Unfortunately the manager seems to take on a power trip which has put my friends in a nasty situation numerous times. For example when reserving a table for the World Cup we were turned away and our table was given up despite being on time and appropriate upon arrival. Furthermore management has belittled our friend for having a twitch which is incredibly disappointing as I’d expect a manager of a well established pub to be far more professional. All in all I’ve had enough upsetting experiences with family and friends to be taking my business elsewhere. What was once a lovely pub has been ruined by an entitled manager.

Really lovely pub with excellent boutique rooms! Staff were superb and great, generous breakfast available- you even get a free beer and prosecco in the mini bar each night! Knocking one star off for the room as although it was lovely, the bathroom lights were flickering and one of the plug sockets was hanging loose from the wall which seemed a bit dangerous. Fix these up and it's 5 stars from me! Would definitely stay again.

We visited the pub on 13th Jan. The experience was alright, but we got charged twice, the first time the manager said it didn’t go through. But before we left the pub we saw our bank account showing 2 debits. We were told it would auto correct. We’ve called 4 times since (& personally went to the pub to complain again) but unfortunately still haven’t got our money back. I wish someone would take note and actually refund us our money!

Our local pub, we are so lucky to have it so close as we love it! Shout out to Eleanor too who is always so welcoming!

We absolutely love it here, service and food is exceptional! I would highly recommend the Queens Head - the staff here are all so lovely, one lady that really stood out in particular was Eleanor, fantastic from start to finish. Thank you Eleanor for making our visit to the pub brilliant. We will be back!

The most rubbish food I ever tried ,payed 11£ something for a stale dry bread with bit of prawns at the top and one piece of lettuce , the coffee was good but the sandwich Ilea’s rubbish and overpriced.

A typical place to enjoy English life, very familiar and always caring about the client, very good food and excellent breakfasts, the Small room but very comfortable bed; I will be back soon for sure!!!!!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a 10 minute walk from Kingston station and the town centre. The room was ok but the carpet needs to be updated as it was very old , all en all we enjoyed our stay.

Visited with my friends over the weekend for dinner and drinks. Food was tasty and portion sizes generous .The staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Eleanor who made our visit even more special.

My wife and I stayed at The Queens Head in Kingston recently and it was great! Everything from the staff, to the room, to the food exceeded our exppectations. We would definitely stay here again in the future and highly recommend it!

Went today for a Sunday Roast with the family. Amazing food, HUGE portions and great service along with a lovely ambience. I had the roast chicken, you get a whole leg and breast. Our daughter had the beef and said it was the best meat she’d ever eaten and my husband had the pork, which he demolished without saying a word through his meal. All in all, a lovely afternoon with delicious food

This past weekend we hosted my friends birthday at the queens head and it was amazing! The hospitality of the staff was so welcoming. We did bottomless brunch which was such good value for money and the food was perfect. Anna was extremely friendly and professional. The decor is lovely, would highly recommend for a lunch out. Look forward to visiting soon x

Beware, we had a horrible cave like room on the ground-floor located in the outbuildings. It was very dark, and we couldn't open the blinds for people walking past the window. We booked for two nights but stayed for only one. When we complained we were told we should have asked for a specific room when we booked ! We wouldn't recommend.

What a lovely experience from check in to check out! This place is a little gem! Needed somewhere to stay near a wedding we were going to at Hampton Court. We were really looked after as soon as we arrived. The decor is so cool and the ambiance is spot on. Lovely, helpful staff, amazing breakfast & coffee, cute comfy, spotlessly clean room with lovely touches like artisan choccies, coffee machine/teas/water included in the room rate and AND a mini bottle of fizz and bottle of beer in the mini bar! (Fresh milk in a mini glass bottle too). Lovely shower and toiletries, easy parking, such a comfy bed. Great value for money!

We stayed here for a weekend so we could visit Kew gardens and Hampton Court Palace. Its difficult for me to rate this place because most was great but some not so good. On arriving here we were greeted and checked in by a very friendly young man, he offered to take our bags when he showed us to our rooms. He explained how to work everything like the coffee machine and the great air conditioning which was a god send due to the hot weather. He was very knowledgeable of the area and took the time to talk to us. The breakfasts were delicious and we were served by a young girl on 2 of the morning who she was very pleasant and helpful. On our last morning a young man served our breakfast. The beds were comfortable with lovely crisp clean sheets. The shower was great with plenty hot water and lovely white fluffy towels. Toiletries are shared so I didn't use them. The free mini bar was an added bonus. The room had everything you needed for a short stay (Hair dryer-Iron-Ironing Board and a safe) Now the negatives: No shelf in the bathroom to put anything but we could live with that. Although the inside of the shower was clean the skirting around the shower and bathroom was very dirty with a lot of dust. The carpet was filthy so we kept our shoes on. I dropped a sweet that rolled under the bed and because I couldn't access it I pulled the bed and OMG! there was about 10 years of dust and debris under the bed - I was gob smacked! The difference in colour was unbelievable. What a let down by housekeeping! Its a good job it was our last morning or else it would have put me off staying. Management need to be aware of this and housekeeping trained to do their job better or given more time to do a better job. The manager did not check us out or I would have mentioned it to him, the guy who served our breakfast checked us out. We stayed in room 6

Stayed for one night for an event in Kingston. Absolutely fantastic stay, room had everything we needed and more. Spotlessly clean, beautiful decor and complementary drinks in the mini fridge. We had lunch and a beautiful breakfast the next morning. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they really are a credit to the place. It felt like a home from home. Will definitely be back. Thanks all for a wonderful break.

We have stayed at the Queens Head on several occasions and each visit never disappoints. The rooms are lovely, great shower and very comfortable bed. A nice touch this time was complimentary drinks including a bottle of beer and Prosecco as well as tea and coffee in our room. The breakfast is very good which includes a full English and a lot of other hot breakfast options as well as cereal and buffet options. The Manager Stuart and his staff all work hard to make you feel welcome. Thanks again, we will return.

Friendly pub with rooms. Really comfortable, well equipped rooms, wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, good range of drinks on the bar, great secluded garden behind bar, cracking breakfast and the main food menu looked very tempting too, although we didn’t eat there other than breakfast.

Overnight stay. Small rooms but very comfortable bed and great shower. Nice touch complimentary wine and beer, plus very good free tea & coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included in our deal. Lovely choice of fresh fruit, yogurts, etc as well as a cooked dish. We are used to living in the country so found the main road a bit noisy.

We stayed here for two nights and had a fabulous stay. Our room was clean and tastefully decorated. The complimentary beer and wine was a nice extra, as were the good quality teabags, coffee bags and chocolates. Lovely large shower and top notch shower, shampoos etc provided. The breakfast choice was good and we actually ate her 3 times (lunch and two dinners), the food was so good. Helpful pleasant staff, what more could you want. Room to rear of pub for 3 vehicles, although space limited if you have a larger type car. We will definitely return to the Queens Head if we are up this way again. Really good value for money given location.

First time staying in this beautiful hotel was blown away by the service excellent food and room stayed here for a birthday weekend all the staff were lovely especially Eleanor who made our stay extra special 😀 lovely place I also loved the complimentary mini fridge . Absolute Gem of a Pub! Just come home from an overnight stay at the Queen’s Head and had a super comfortable stay. Boutique room was beautifully decorated and really well equipped, complete with complimentary drinks. All the staff were really welcoming and our evening dinner was just delicious with a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Breakfast was a huge surprise, offering a selection of juices, pastries, yoghurts, sliced meats and then a choice of cooked options and hot drink. Service was fantastic and the team all work really hard to give you an incredibly warm welcome. Thank you all, our stay was fabulous.

We stay the night. We had dinner. Was ok as came out cold. Was changed straight away but only meat was changed still had the same plate as I feel the whole meal should have been changed but very good. The staff where lovely so friendly Mia was fab a roo. Room was amazing bed comfy. TV did not work as could not get a signal. The only main let down was the music first thing about 7ish am woke us which I felt shouldn’t had been lower as breakfast was between 7-11. Just a thought just keep it turned down until your guest are up. Breakfast was not a d delicious was so full. The lady we did not get her name was also lovely and helpful

Quite honestly, the best fish and chips we have ever had! The food was amazing!!!! Nice service too! Just the price of the drinks were the highest in the region Kingston/Richmond. But good too ;) We will be back for those fish and chips!!!

This is an awful pub. We booked online for a table and when we arrived they kicked us out because one of us didn’t have an ID. It was absolutely disgraceful and couldn’t believe it. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone as the staff are horrible to their customers. There are much better more polite pubs to visit. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Rude staff and horrible customer service. Don’t go here.

I watched a group of well behaved youngsters get removed from their booked table. This made way for older clientele that hadn’t booked! Clearly a more prosperous prospect for the establishment. This really isn’t a community pub and in future I will be taking my business elsewhere. There are far more community friendly pubs a short walk away.

Stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night whilst visiting friends nearby. The rooms, in a converted stables (?) were refurbished, along with the whole pub, in 2016. The upgrade was very well done and the whole place is well run. Our room was spacious and quiet with a large comfortable double bed and a good sized ensuite with a double shower. The design features are original and quirky.We arrived midday in a Friday and had a delicious late lunch in the pub. The food is freshly prepared with plenty of good vegetarian options. Lovely breakfast included. Whoever was responsible for this upgrade of a traditional pub got it just right retaining the character of the place whilst providing modern facilities and adding new touches. The mostly young staff could not have been more helpful.A useful tip - they have four parking places available on a first come first served basis if you book in advance.

Really nice place to stay, its a pub but we had a room that was off the building, lovely spacious room, bunkbeds for the kids. There is aircon for the hotter weather too.No noise even though its next to a busy road. Very well priced, breakfast included in the price too which was lovely. Definitely recommend.

Mais c'est vraiment pour trouver aussi un petit truc à redire.Je conseille et j'y retournerai avec grand plaisir.

Our visits here had often been up and down. It does seem that when the manager is absent the only thing that happens is regulars get pints pulled. It had been a long couple of weeks and finally we got precious time for a date night and a hard earned Christmas meal together. On arrival the restaurant was all but empty but we were seated in the bar. 10 minutes later we got water and ordered wine and our meals. 30 minutes after that we went in search of our waitress and enquired where our drinks and/or food were. We got a cheesey grin and promises of great things to come. 15 minutes I sought another waitress to cancel our order altogether as I was determined not to be totally ignored for an hour and then be charged a service charge at the end.This waitress was initially keen to show an acceptable level of customer service before realising she couldn't find our order.We left. Good fortune was on our side though. We got an amazing meal with attentive service a short time later in our new favourite bar restaurant so thank you Queens Head for that.

This is a stunning small boutique hotel with lovely friendly manager and staff. Rooms are spacious and have everything you could possibly need.Breakfast is included and the food is delicious Highly recommend this hotel

This renovated pub is a gem, that has truly outstanding food. The head chef, Pedro Montes de Oco produces delicious and excitingly imaginative food. Basically it’s Michelin Star Restaurant food at pub prices.

Visited for Sunday lunch without booking (surprisingly empty). We enjoyed our visit, and everyone was pleased with their meals. Would happily return - rating of “very good” is a little generous, but “average” would be harsh.

We stayed here overnight whilst visiting Hampton Court and Wimbledon for a tour. The bar is well presented and the staff wonderful and friendly. We had an evening meal and breakfast here and both meals were wonderful especially the breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. My only complaint is that there is no parking on site and street parking is only available in four hour slots so you can’t go out for the whole day without issues over your car. I cannot recommend the Queens Head highly enough and we will definitely stay here again if we stay in Outer London.

Spent three nights over the weekend of 21-23/09 whilst celebrating a family birthday. from the moment of booking to settling the bill everything went without a hitch. The room we had was extremely clean, nicely decorated and well appointed.. The food was superb and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. On the Saturday we asked if they could possibly do us some sandwiches to take out to a family picnic. no problem and the sandwiches were superb. Would definitely recommend the Queens Head and would stay here again without hesitation.

We came for Sunday breakfast, but were too late, manager convinced us to come back when Sunday roast began and I’m so glad we did! The roast was impeccable and Yorkshire pudding was so big it was beyond a cherry on top!

Great stay at Queens Head for a friends birthday party locally. Staff really accommodating and gave us adjoining rooms and reserved parking space for us. Lovely rooms, nice decorations, comfortable beds and really good breakfast. Will be back!

Our 4th visit and this time we were in Room 3 which thankfully had excellent air conditioning which we needed over the hot August Bank Holiday - we were here for our joint birthdays on 24th & 27th August. Our visit coincided with the Rugby at Twickenham, so the pub was very busy indeed. The service and food were consistently superb - especially the Hake and Salmon Nicoise - together with a lovely bottle of Tempranillio recommended by Siobhan! As an extra surprise we were presented with a surprise birthday cake and ice cream from the team. All this was served in the cool courtyard dining area at the back of the pub which had a superb summer atmosphere with adults, children and dogs all having fun. Highly recommended and so much so that we have asked for details of their Christmas package(!) It's great to stop in a place where the staff genuinely enjoy their work and it shows at the Queens Head! See you all soon! S

This is one of our local restaurants and we are never disappointed. My husband chose the quiche and I had the chicken breast salad. Both were delicious. Cody was our waitress and was really helpful and attentive.

And lovely staff who were so accommodating with gluten free food. I have coeliac disease and they showed a total understanding that its just a little allergy but very serious. I had the roast chicken and some wonderful gin. My friend had the roast beef. Enormous servings and it was lovely to sit on the sunshine in a lovely garden.

This has been our local pub for 30 years and it is now the best it has ever been with Ryan and his delightful team. The ambiance, food, drink and service is second to none. I recently organised a surprise 60th for my husband’s Birthday and Ryan, James and all the staff were amazing. They could not do enough, everything was perfect. They organised a Prosecco/champagne reception and the buffet and live music was superb. Our friends and family have stayed in the hotel rooms and have said how lovely everything was including the delicious breakfast Thank you for making my husband’s Birthday really special. I would not hesitate to recommend The Queens Head to anyone for any occasion. See you all soon.

Went there today for a Sunday roast before heading back home. The food was excellent and the portions were ample 3 of the 4 of us could not finish as the servings are generous. The surroundings are nice and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Will definitely go there when I am in London.

Love this pub! It's got a great feel about it and is beautifully decorated, with a gorgeous outside space for sunny days. The food is always great (Sunday lunches included) with staff that are friendly and attentive, especially Siobhan, who is especially helpful and lovely! And they do a particularly chilled prosecco (not always easy to get!!) in a very beautiful glass - another good reason to go!!

On a Friday night (appreciate this is a late review )I had a table booked for 4 people to have some dinner and drinks. I regularly go to the pub for Sunday dinners and it’s usually excellent. We had 2 guests staying with us from my family and felt it was the perfect pub/restaurant to treat them to a nice relaxing time with good atmosphere and food.

Quite possibly the best pub / hotel I’ve visited - decor was quirky and beautiful, rooms were comfy and inviting. Service was second to none and menu/atmosphere couldn’t be faulted. Loved it!

This is a local restaurant for us and very popular. I chose the mussels and my husband had the pizza special with the glass of wine. The service was excellent throughout.

Our room was beautiful and huge! Bathroom was lovely. Staff were very helpful and attentive especially our breakfast server. Breakfast was very tasty and the quality of the sausages, bacon and black pudding was obvious.

We went to Queens Head for dinner as an early Mother’s Day treat a family member. We were 3 adults & 3 children. The pub was beautifully renovated & decorated. The staff were friendly enough but the food was disappointing. I ordered Mussels as a main meal which costs £15 & I was shocked at how few mussels there were on my plate to the point that I counted them!!! There were 25 very dry mussels and 3 of them weren’t open. I was left so hungry I had to order some foccacia, which they didn’t charge me for as they asked me if everything was ok and I told them what I thought of their £15 mussels. 2 of the kids ordered kids burgers and they were left hungry too. Their burgers were the smallest I’ve ever seen. The kind of burgers you’d have as finger food at a function. That was £5 from the kids menu and anything else had to be ordered separately such as kids drink or pudding! Such a shame as we’re locals and we would have liked to go back.

I am often skeptical about Sunday lunches in pubs but last Sunday's lunch at the Queens has proved me wrong, I could not fault it. From the quality and quantity of the meat to the vegetables everything was spot on. 3 of us had the roast beef and 2 had the fish and chips and everyone was happy.

When we arrived at about 9pm the bedroom was warm. We went downstairs, had some drinks and returned to the room about an hour later, by which time it was decidedly cool.

We try to go to an England rugby international each year, and in 2017 found this pub with rooms. Our 2017 and 2018 visits were enjoyable - good quality comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts, and generally good value for money.

I stayed at the Queen’s Head one night only but I would have loved to spend more time there! The place is beautiful, breakfast is generous and the staff is welcoming and very attentive.

Went there yesterday for lunch, bought drinks at the bar and said we wanted to eat and opened a tab, leaving credit card at the bar. It was pretty quiet on a Tuesday lunchtime with maybe four or five tables were occupied at the most. Went and sat down to enjoy our drinks after a while I told the waiter that we wanted to eat and he said we would have to order the food at the bar because we were sitting at a table with no table service. He suggested we walk across the room and sit at a table which had table service, which we did. I pointed out that as we had said twice that we wanted to eat, coming to our table and taking an order didn’t seem too much to ask. He said it was ‘the rules‘. No one had told us which tables have table service. He served the wine without giving us a chance to taste it. I stupidly paid 10% for service.

Went with my parents and kids. Three of us had a Sunday roast - one beef, one chicken, and one turkey, all were very good. Others had ham hock, salmon and cod. Everyone was happy. A bit pricey for a pub but you don’t mind paying if the food and service is good. The service was very friendly and efficient.
