The worst fish and chips that I have ever has the misfortune to buy. They went straight into the bin. I will never buy their crap again,.

I’ve never heard of a fish & chip shop not opening Saturday lunch time. Why don’t they sell up and give someone the opportunity of running that business sensible hrs

I have been going here since it opened and it has always consistent with the quality of food. Always enjoy my meal. I travel 13 miles there to get the food as its so good

Absolutely shocking, get this… this Lady runs a fish and chip shop. She served my mrs chips that look like her cat sicked them up last night. Her attitude isn’t any better. If you want fish & chips or anything to eat that night go elsewhere!

Food is edible but the lady who works here is so rude &make you wish you had never walked in. Won’t be going back

This is a great little place to get you Chinese, however be careful with using contactless payments!! They say they charge you 50p for payments under £10.00 but yet I payed £15.00 pounds for a £14.50 pound take away!! So if they are doing that then they are on a little scam!! They don't evern tell you they are going to charge you for using contactless!!

I haven't been here in over 15 years as sunshine valley went down hill. But weather miserable and didn't want to travel further afield to buy fish and chips so thought give it a go as on our doorstep. Sadly still on the downward slope. The fish was tiny, shrivelled and tasteless and not value for money!! Been left under the heater for clearly along time! The chips were rough, limp and lots of scraps. Ordered Chinese too, chicken was hard and again lacked flavour. The ribs were tough and greasy also. The 'owner' I guess, wasn't friendly and had zero customer service! The young helper (Olivia) kept being told off and I felt embarrassed for her Infront of other customers as was clearly trying her best. Place feels dated and will not be visiting again

Such a horrible, stingy place!! Young lass went to hand me my chips and the boss lady took half of them back before they even reached my hands! Asked to have my food wrapped and she look at me like I'd done something wrong. Really feel sorry for the young girl behind the counter.

The food was lovely, but the customer service is horrible ,never seen somebody smile in there, they barely even talk to you ,avoid one lady who is the misaberalst person you will ever encounter in your life who is the owner and clearly all of her younger workers are afraid of her we went there not that recently we asked for a bag and a nice young lady did as we told but the owner with a frown on her face of course just shouted at her without out even talking please don’t go near her

Finished work late on Wednesday and wanted a hot meal so a short drive from the depot and I was in Marchwood and this chinese takeaway, now I know the chinese aren't renowned for curry, but the chinese we use in Dagenham does a quite nice mixed curry so that's what I went for. On opening the container I was looking at an insipid milky coloured sauce that was actually bland and tasteless the chicken and prawns were ok but the beef ,again I don't think the chinese really know how to cook it,was like trying to eat leather i certainly won't be eating a takeaway from here again really disappointed

I had to wait about five minutes while the fish was cooking but it was worth it , the fish was fresh and the batter crispy , the chips were well cooked and a good size. Friendly service.

Very disappointed we haven't had anything from them for a while but after a Tasteless, over cooked. I couldn't even eat it. Chicken chow main Salt and chilli chicken Chips we will never go back

Our go-to village take out for a Saturday night and when family and friends come over. The owner kindly provided me with a list of gluten free options. Delicious food, good size portions, they also do fish and chips.

Not only is the fish and chips great but the Chinese is great as well. Friendly and polite service, not open Sunday and Monday.

Two of the items ordered were just bean sprouts topped with something. I would have thought a mushroom dish would have more then one mushroom in it!!

What chinese has ever run out of rice and to make it worse I ordered cheesy chips instead only to be told they don't sell them even though they're listed on the menu and the final straw came when I tasted the curry , bland is not the word , the worst chinese I've ever had and I'm 48

This place does good quality Chinese dishes and has a wide range at decent prices. The same can be said for fish and chips.

We have been coming here for years for their fish and chips and its been a bit of a running joke that you will have to wait, but this weekend was terrible. Despite not appearing to be that busy, orders were backed up and it took nearly 25 minutes for my order of 2 x fish and chips to be prepared. Other orders appeared to be pretty standard - fish and chips, sausage and chips, nothing unusual so how can they keep running out of fundamental things like chips or fish?!! Someone came in after me and ordered and received their Chinese meal before I got my order and I was about to ask for my money back when my food was finally sorted. They have had a succession of young servers who smile and try to do a good job but they are often barked at by the owners who provide an unfriendly service to one and all!

This place could and should be a little gem, however the first thing that put me off was the fact that whatever I seem to want to order they are out of. What chippy runs out of chicken, pies etc at 8.30pm on a Wednesday ?? Ended up with a pasty & chips as there were no alternatives available. The pastry was hard and even though the chips were a generous portion they were the tiny scrappy pieces. Husbands fish was greasy and the batter stuck to the paper. We had wanted to order chicken, Chips and chicken & mushroom pie & chips and the only things available were fish, chips & pasty. Poor show all round.

Live locally but don't tend to use this takeaway as its food has declined over the years - prices are high for what you get. Normally order chinese from totton and fish and chips from goodies.

Worked here before shouts at us heck I was told to pick the chips up from the floor from previous day put them into the bucket, that then went into the fryer what is absolutely disgusting

Having been in this place a few times. The way she speaks to people, especially the young staff helping is beyond wrong. I asked for ribs with ok sauce...... She sniggered at me and basically tried telling me off for asking as she was clueless to what OK sauce is. Apparently they only do oyster sauce. Chips are always re-fried. Pies are asda smartprice, cheeky b1tch sells them still in the wrapper at over inflated costs. I cannot stress enough how much I hate the way the owner is with everyone. Don't believe me, just pop in and see Satan herself.

Does this place actually want customers? Some of the best Fish and chips served here but absolutely no idea about customer service. The owner/Manager is a complete misery who seems to resent having customer come in and hates having to cook them food. Complete and utter shambles every time I have been in there. Shall not darken their door again. Hopefully someone can buy it and it will be service with a smile. Don't waste your money on these guys. And don't let your teenagers work there as they are learning very bad habits from an absolutely awful individual.

Worst chinese in southampton! food is awful and over priced! Dont do any delivery, can get a better chinese from totton and get it delivered to Marchwood makes no sense, I would prefer to drive to The Modern in hythe to collect food! Its amazing there! Hopefully they will start deivering to marchwood! This place needs either competition or someone needs to take this place over! It is crap!

Disappointed. Another example of how food quality declines in the absence of competition. Having previously lived in an area where there were 1/2 a dozen Chinese takeaways within 10 minutes walking distance, all of them provided food nearly as good as restaurant quality. Sunshine Valley desperately needs competition. I'm giving up using them and will travel further for better quality Chinese food (Hythe, Dibden, Totton, Holbury). At least the Indian takeaway here is good.

Terrible. Awful quality. The owners treat staff and customers with contempt - no wonder the turnaround on the young part-timers is so high. Go and buy a ready meal and you'll have a tastier meal without being ripped off.

Having rung to order and asked for a curry sauce to go with the rest of my Chinese meal, I arrived home to find a sweet and sour sauce in the bag. When I rang to ask for a replacement, I was told I had asked for the sweet and sour sauce and they would not replace. My partner confirmed I had asked for curry sauce. This is the second time they have got it wrong, the first time I didn't bother to call. I will not be using again, I live in Marchwood and like to support the local businesses, but not when I'm called a liar. I suggest when ordering, you check all of your order before you leave the premises.

The takeaway is advertised as being g a fish and chip shop as well as a Chinese. It's advertised opening hours are until 10pm. I went in the other day at 9-40 to be told that they had run out of chips. The proprietor was counting the till leaving the poor girl assistant to explain. My point that for a fish and chip shop to run out of chips 20 minutes before closing is unacceptable fell on deaf ears. Surely at that stage they could have made and cooked a few more. The food generally is not great anyway, not being particularly hot and sometimes having g been left in the warm display for some time. I could not possibly recommend this place.

I like to support our local shops but we won't be ordering Chinese from here again. Pancakes for the duck (which was nice) were just shoved in the container and by the time we'd separated them we'd lost about 25%. The plum sauce was so thin it just ran straight off the pancake rather than spreading. Cucumber only to go with it - no spring onion. The ham fried rice was burnt - to the extent that there were big black bits in it - it was obvious it was burnt but just served it up anyway. The boiled rice is always claggy and sticks in one big mass - rinse in boiling water to get rid of the starch and it will be much nicer! Sorry - not worth the money.

Do not always offer Chinese food but always Fish,Chicken,Sausage and chips.Usually promt to answer the phone,and normally food is ready for collection.

I had a set meal it was presented beautifully even though it was a takeaway. Would defiantly recommend it to anyone.

Ordered fresh vegetables got some bamboo shoots and water chestnuts dripping in fatty sauce - that looked like it had come straight out of a can. Everything else heavy with MSG, grease and artificial flavourings. Cheap ingredients at expensive prices. Give it a miss and go to Hythe or Totton.
