Me & my wife only have fish & chips when we go to the coast so it’s seen as a treat. This was the first time of coming here & it won’t be the last as we got the best fish & chips we’ve had this year… by a long way! & they were a lot cheaper than other fish shops nearby. We will be back!

Absolutely lovely fish and chips. Fresh and tasty and served on lovely glass plates Tasty burgers and big portions.

Freshly cooked cod and chips at its finest! Crisp, light batter. Beautiful fresh fish. Real chips. All cooked to order and presented fabulously. A cold and wet Wednesday night in Ramsgate but it was warm and welcoming inside. Friendly service and reasonably priced. Go and support this fantastic little restaurant! A+++++

The plaice and chips is excellent, and I have been here numerous times over the last two years. It's the best fish and chips in Ramsgate.

Simply the best chips I have ever tasted amazing year upon year, not just in Ramsgate anywhere I have eaten them.

Tried every fish and chip shop in Ramsgate and this is the one I like best. The fish is taken out of the fridge, coated in batter and fried fresh for you and the wait is well worth it. If you are in a hurry go somewhere else, if you are happy to wait 5 minutes for the best fried fish this is the place to come.

Absolutely fantastic food. Hot and fresh. Mum's haddock was huge and the burgers were nice and meaty. Chips lovely with awesome curry sauce. Would definitely recommend.

Had takeaway from here this evening, dined at home. Delicious food prepared and cooked to perfection, cooked to order fresh and hot. Batter was perfectly crispy, beautiful white fish, best battered sausage I've had in a long time. Excellent chips, good quality potatoes with no black eyes. Nothing stuck to the paper, and cardboard liner kept the batter on the fish when tipped out onto plate at home. Friendly and polite service, clean kitchen and hotplate. Nothing disappointed, happy to recommend and will definitely return.

Great fish and chips freshly fried and we were given large portions. We ate in and it was very friendly and clean.

Amazing fish, always get a large cod and it’s so flaky and fresh. The chips are just right, not too greasy but not dry either. The chap who works there is super friendly too, always has time for a chat and happy to take a phone order so it’s ready to collect at a time that suits. I won’t be going anywhere else from now on.

Visited Ramsgate to see the boats lit up for Christmas. Then decided on fish and chips. We stopped at Sunrise, and decidedto eat inside. We ordered Fish ( cod) and chips. I must say, the meal was really nice. Chips, dry and crispy, and the batter on the fish equally as good. Portion size was just right. We all had a full belly leaving empty plates.

I buy from here on a regualr basis and its always good and consistant.It helps its in a conveniant place and also has a small restaurant.

We went for a quick fish and chips in the sun and it was fantastic. The haddock was perfectly cooked and the curry sauce was on point. It was delicious. I would recommend to anyone in the area.

visited this restaurant for an evening meal and we were both very impressed. The staff were very friendly and the meal was 1st class. Jean had Rock and Chips and I had Cod and chips. Both meals had nice crisp batter on the fish and the chips were great too.

5 of us wanted fish and chips but with one vegetarian in our party, we were disappointed, after having queued for quite some time, to find that they did not offer a single veggie option (although apparently a veggie burger is available in the restaurant).

First came here with my in-laws and ate in the restaurant. Excellent food and service and we were even allowed to bring in our dog. Now we drive here from Canterbury to get our fish and chips because they are the best we’ve ever had. Friendly staff, good service and excellent food

Been here a few times, service is always good and quick and chips are always freshly cooked, sometimes a little too fresh as I like mine a little soggy but that's just my preference.

Whenever I am back in my home town of Ramsgate visiting my aged aunt this is always my first port of call! It never ceases to amaze me that the lovely friendly staff remember me, sometimes after months but ask after my aunt and her friend who are regular customers. Always prepared fresh the fish is white, tender and deliciously cooked in light crispy batter. Good portions of chips and a wide selection of other items on the menu. You don't get better than this.

We come to Ramsgate regularly and always make time for the wonderful fish and chips from Sunrise. Fresh fish, great portions and friendly service.

In my opinion this is the best fish and chip shop in town by a mile. If you ring up for an order you know that everything is being cooked fresh. If you order the larger portions of cod and they are not happy with the size you often get 2 bits.

First time in ramsgate and what a find! Such wonderful friendly staff . Full of laughter. The man I'm assuming is the owner was training a younger man. Was nice to see such strong supportive leadership! The chips were hot and perfect! Fish was simply fresh and delicious. Fast and hot and fresh and friendly!

What more can you ask for except excellent fish and chips and top service. Still don't understand why they haven't put their prices up considering the huge increase in the prices of both fish and chips - maybe they will have to cut the portion sizes?

Midweek is generally not a good time to visit your local chippy. Many of them seem to turn down the heat on their oil to save money and the result is less than inspiring. But not at the Sunrise. We have been coming here for quite some time, at various times and days of the week. It is always good. Very consistent quality with generous portions. Fortunately they also do a smaller size for us oldies! I have never been disappointed and, unlike some in this area, you will never hear excuses about the potatoes. Highly recommended.

I wanted to enjoy it, but I just simply didn’t. The best part really was the friendly staff. I’m baffled by the mostly positive reviews. The chips tasted of damn near nothing, and the fish was no better than what you’d get from from the frozen aisle at a supermarket.

Once again visited sunrise for fish and chips!! Freshly cooked!! No black skin on fish ! Just pure white big flakes of succulent fish lovely chips! Best fish and chips ever.

have tried every fish and chip shop within 10 miles of Ramsgate and this one is still the best at good value and the best quality but expect prices will have to increase soon or reduction in portions as the cost of both potatoes and fish seem to be climbing daily.

Saturday night demanded fish and chips. No queuing. Cash only. Three cod and chips, a wally, curry sauce, mushy peas and three tartare sauces for around £23. Hot, fresh, tasty, I finished mine. We'll be back.

A very good lunch of excellent cod with chips and mushy peas. Very good friendly staff who serve freshly cooked fish at reasonable speed. Only point is no hot water in toilet.

I am been there last Saturday get take way fish and chips. The fish and chips are freshly made to order and great fish from in Kent. I recommend this to go out in or take away.

Lush sausages i had vegetarian brekky with crispy bacon. Toast was doorstep thick..divine. Son had huge breakfast .very good value.freshly cooked. Staff really friendly too

We visited the Sunrise during an W_England World Cup match so it was pretty quiet but we were treated so well and served beautifully freshly cooked meals in a beautifully decorated restaurant with chandeliers to die for! Will definitely visit again for the food, service and friendliness. Good value for money as four adults ate for under £25. Great!

well cooked fresh fish with first class service for around £15 for two - what can beat that as it does not come any better

We eat fish and chips at least once a week on a Friday and now nearly every time here in the Sunrise Fish & Chips as is undoubtedly the best in the area with excellent friendly service - it has now got to the stage of having a large fish and large chips + medium fish and chips with 2 teas ordered without having to say anything !!

A friend of ours recommended trying this fish restaurant whilst in the area . The outside of the building looked very fresh and welcoming. The staff inside were very helpful and obliging and well presented. Obviously we choose cod and chips and the portions were very moderate , the fish was cooked lovely and not greasy. The overall presentation of the food and the staff was excellent and pricing very competitive for the area. This would be very good for families to eat as the children’s menu was excellent. Worth visiting if in the area .

Once again excellent meal lovely rock salmon and the only place in town that serves squid in bread crumbs we love it well done to all the team

While we lived in Ramsgate this Chippy was our local since its opening, how we miss the staff and the food.

Husband and I went for lunch - never been before and were delighted.

Traditional fish and chips, with the additional extras of fish cake, roe and the not so traditional spring rolls all served on a fish plate.

Excellent fish and chips coupled with top service - only tiny thing I would change is that they put the milk in the tea before delivering to the table and my wife and I like different amounts so would be better with small milk jug - but not enough to remove a star as the fish and chips are the best around and we have tried loads !!

The fish is always fresh and nicely cooked, and the batter light and crispy. Lovely dry chips, NOT soggy or greasy. And the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Despite the signs and website saying open from 1pm to 8pm on Sunday- this clearly isn’t true. More accurate information please sunrise. We won’t be coming back

My Wife says this was the best Fish and Chip shop we have tried in Ramsgate. She especially loved their chips. I had a large haddock, lovely, my Wife had cod'd roe. She loved that. The mushy peas were just right and the curry sauce...

Visited with my friend for a fish and chip lunch. We ordered and the meal arrived freshly cooked - hot, good portion size, and tasty, not greasey. Enjoyed every mouthful and would definitely return for lunch. Service was good and friendly.

Had another fantastic meal always as good as the last one best fish and chips in town try there codrow 10/10 my wife ruby recomends it to everyone so do I thanks at least we know we will get a good meal there

My aunt and I were visiting the area and really wanted fish and chips for dinner on a Sunday evening. We found this restaurant/take -away on the internet. The physical restaurant is very clean and presentable. The owner and his wife are polite and attentive.The food was fresh and the portion spot on. I ordered a medium size fish and chips.It is quite possibly the best fish and chips I have EVER eaten. It was quiet when we were there so I cannot comment on a busy time. Well worth a visit.

This used to be the best but unfortunately the standard has dropped, the portions are really small now and the fish I had was dry and didn't seem fresh at all which is such a shame it seems that they are concentrating more on the people that are sitting down to eat and not really interested in those ordering take away.

Nothing to dislike here. Typical seaside fayre but extremely well cooked, fresh & hot. Exceptional fish batter. Personally I don't like skin on fish but the meat fell away easily so all was well - except I was missing out on the tasty batter. Chips non-greasy with the right amount of crisp.

We went to this fish and chip shop as it was off the sea front and quieter so glad we did . The fish was lovely good crispy batter and nice dry chips not grease on the plate at all great value to £5.50 for senior cod chips peas and a drik. very happy

Simply the very best fish and chips in Ramsgate we now go every Friday and it has got so regular that the waitress immediately says 1 large and 1 medium cod and chips with 2 teas before we even sit down !! Cooked fresh every time and really good at a reasonable price with excellent service - what's not to like !!!

We visit Ramsgate every year and always take in a fish and chips meal. We fancied a change from our usual restaurant this year so gave the Sunrise a go.It's very close to the multi storey car park and the seating area is quite large so no problem getting seated.The fish ( I had haddock ) was very fresh and extremely tasty. There could have been a few more chips, but at the end of the meal I was pretty full.Service was very good and the meal was great value for money.This will become our new regular venue.

We had lunch here after a recommendation from a local lady choosing the senior citizen cod and chips which were generous portions and very good. The restaurant is bright and clean with very friendly staff

I have tried the others believe me but there is just no comparison they have gone and knocked it out the ball park yet again this time we ate in the restaurant as we had visitors from overseas and they themselves said they love to come here as the fish is the best they are so spoilt by your fish and chips they cannot find a place in Durban South Africa where they live that even comes close they were last here five years ago and said they have not tasted nicer fish so its not just me.... Well done to the staff at Sunrise you have the cleanest chippy in Ramsgate your reputation is wonderfull keep up the delicous offerings and we shall keep coming back for more yummy fish....

Went here today for the first time excellent fish and chips, the best fish and chips in the area by far, very pleasant staff very clean throughout even the toilet, give this restaurant a try you won't be disappointed.

Visit the sunrise at least 3-4 times a month since they opened could not fault the service and fish but this time we ordered by phone arrived on time picked up our order for home sorry fish slightly warm and not much of it for large cod very thin and not chunky or flakey along with nearly warm chips so the family did not enjoy there meals at all whats happened???

Whenever we are visiting Ramsgate this is the place we eat. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The food is cooked to order and is delicious, my children (and me) devour the cod and chips which is unusual for them! Only gripes are a few more chips wouldn't go a miss and the drink prices are a bit expensive. Would highly recommend Sunrise if you want great tasting food and service.
