The owner shouted at me that I was following a guy up the road in front of his customers. He was rude and unpleasant. He told me not to sit outside his shop. He is friends with a lady in the village who's family have been harassing me. I have reported incident to police.

This has always been our go to fish and chips, more so since Andy's Plaice went. It was always seen to be great food for a reasonable price, decent portions etc but lately it's really poor and no value at all. I understand cost of living is hitting us all but when you get cheated out really smacks as insulting. After £23.20 I got home to find out my large haddock was the same size as the medium (in pic left is medium, right is large). They told me that there was only 1 large haddock so did I want a medium. I agreed but didn't expect this cheat of 2 mediums. The chips were chucked in with the fish and for a large portion which used to be served and wrapped separately being chucked in with the fish is also skimping on serves. For the family of 4 we often had more thanenough food with a large and medium chips previously but with a growing boy and me being extra hungry I went for 2 large. Portions fed 3, they were worse than the mediums previously given and about £1.50 extra each for a large really hurt. All this after waiting outside for 25 minutes added to a huge disappointment and no return business from me and my family.

Queued 20 minutes - paid £23.80 and got back home to realise half my order was missing. Ended up giving the kids tea and went out to get an Indian takeaway for the rest of the family. If you do go here, check your order before you leave the shop!

The staff are just incredible. Food is delicious. Can’t recommend enough. They are so friendly and made sure our order was exact.

Just awful, the fish was disgusting old and not fresh, threw it away, won’t be going back. Clearly the owners have no concept in fresh produce. Very disappointing has put me off for a long time

Sunrise Fish and Chips: food looks great and I received a good & fast service, but the food tasted oily - Like it had been fried in very cheap re-used oil. Far from amazing!

Freshly cooked fish & chips, have used for many years & never disappoint. Generally a good queue early evening. Will cook lightly battered fish if requested. Yum

Generally I actually don't like fish and chips, however I do enjoy them from this establishment! Obviously I'm not the only one because there seems to be a steady stream of people ordering. Everything seems fresh and a well done to them. The pickled cucumbers could be bigger, but that's the trend these days, they can only sell what's in the jar!

We don’t eat fish and chips much but over the years we have tried all three chip shops and this one is the best we have found.

The second time in two years that I have had the misfortune of standing in the rain for the worst fish and chips. The batter can only be likened to cardboard. Totally unacceptable. Never ever again twice was twice too much. So much so I wrote this review ten minutes after purchasing.

Never had a bad meal from here. In the last 3 years I have used this chippie ive never had a single bone in any of the fish. Plus, the fish is skinless. Good prices, great food - no wonder i have sometimes queued outside the door!

Very disappointed with the quality of the fish and chips...I have bought food a few times from here now but the food has all been re-fried and is extremely dry to consume.They are unwilling to fry fresh fish if asked. Poor customer service.Won’t be buying food from here again.

I have had loads of fish and chip takeaways from here and the fish batter has always been crispy and not too greasy. Tasty chips too!

This little take-away has a small cod & chips £4.50 lunch special I enjoyed on the nearby public bench. Nice people, good food.

Este es nuestro y como mi anterior chippie revisión dice es generalmente muy bueno. Estaba sorprendido y decepcionado con nuestra última visita, aunque tanto las patatas fritas parecían las sobras del almuerzo.

No habíamos usado amanecer durante varios meses, pero cuando los amigos de Australia pidió "tradicionales de pescado y patatas fritas" bajábamos. El pescado era muy bueno y fresco (tanto bacalao y eglefino) y el servicio rápido y amable. Los visitantes quedaron muy impresionados, como nosotros.

I have been going to this takeaway for many years, quality, quantity and service have never failed to be anything but good. Fresh not frozen chips all clean and nicely cooked. A truly professional owner.

Hemos tenido pescado y patatas fritas desde aquí todos los viernes durante 5 años o así y he comido desde aquí ya que era una pequeña pargo whipper. Me encanta, lo mejor para el dinero pero reconozco que era. Andrew es demasiado caro y menor calidad en mi opinión. CSG no todo eso por el coche. Sunrise!, es muy amable personal, un poco de atención al cliente no hablan entre sí. No es un eh de tren.

Just below average, has nothing at all to recommend it. Owners appear to be content to just make a living without realising the potential on their doorstep

This is my local chippie and clear favourite in the area. I love fish and chips and have tried them in many TripAdvisor recommended establishments around the country. Sunshine is as good as any and better than most - including Whitby, seemingly the centre of the F&C universe.The fish is larger than average, always well cooked and complemented by a light batter that doesn't compete with the flavour of the fish. The chips are of the large, soft traditional style and again they are invariably well cooked. Don't forget the salt and vinegar!Service is polite and effective - even on a busy night the throughput is prompt. For around £6 Sunrise offers fantastic value for money, hence the 5-star rating.Takeaway only - no seating inside.
