Sunrise Cafe in Great Yarmouth

We were staying in Great Yarmouth & wanted a quieter place to eat,we stopped off at Gorleston,what a lovely little place,so quiet. Found this cafe which was not our normal type of eatery but boy was the food good. So pleased we went in,both of us had a tuna/mayonnaise sandwich,so full of tuna ,we needed a spoon to eat it all up,1 latte,1 sprite,total price £8 .10p,now if that isn't good value dont know what is. The staff were lovely too,very attentive,thanks to them . Just a shame we live 180 miles away otherwise would be regular visitors.

We sat outside lovely day. Nice menu. We had fish and chips. Bit old inside but clean. Good value the fish is cooked fresh for you.

We love the sunrise cafe food is excellent and plenty.of it the breakfast is huge and karen and her husband are so friendly coffee is lovely and tea give it a visit you wont.be disappointed

Day out to Gorleston had me searching on here to find somewhere to eat which would satisfy a 6 year old and my elderly parents!! We certainly found it here. Felt very welcome as soon as we stepped in and I mentioned we were waiting for my parents to the owner and as they arrived she said oh you must be grandma and grandad - was a lovely greeting! Food was amazing, we all went for burgers bizarrely as there was loads of choice. I went for the mushroom and onion one and I couldn't pick it up it was so full! Great quality burgers too. Not sure what happened in the kitchen but they ran out of burgers mid cooking so my Dad waited for his for a while. They were very apologetic and gave him extra chips so he didn't mind!! Excellent value, excellent staff and a really nice atmosphere. Definitely will come back when in the area.

quality meals well cooked and decent sizes plus the option to pick your choices you dont have to have a set menu

We've eaten a number of times now. excellent value for money and friendly atmosphere. The sunrise breakfast is enough for anyone.

Went into this little cafe after meeting an ex work mate. We sat and had a lovely chat, and the ladies behind the counter were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We were not pressured in anyway if we wanted anything else or another hot drink, the cafe was nice and clean, and had diverse customers. Who all seemed relaxed. I enjoyed a lovely toasted tea cake with butter, which was served with a smile..

Great, simple, straightforward, lovely tasting food. The staff are happy & friendly. The food is good value for money. Plus they make a good cup of tea!

My friend and I meet here weekly and always welcomed with smiles and quick chat. Tried a few dishes that have been very good. Favourite is proper cup of tea and cheese on toast.. yummy

Nice clean place with a good menu, the breakfasts are huge and well priced. Quick service and friendly.

The food here is typically cafe style but I go for brunch sometimes and have to say you get a big portion that lasts until dinner time. The cheese on toast is also especially good.

Enjoyed a lunch here with a friend. We had jacket potato with salad and lovely homemade coleslaw all very tasty and a huge portion. Prices are very reasonable! Nice to enjoy a Cappuccino without being over priced as they are in lots of cafes. The menu all looked appealing and we must go back to enjoy the breakfast too. My husband would like that! Staff very attentive and happy. I recommend The Sunrise Cafe!

On a recent holiday in the area with the family we found our holiday complex breakfast to be very poor and lacking in every way. After a bit of asking around we made our choice and the next morning found Sunrise Cafe. This busy local cafe looks like an ordinary cafe and could be mistaken for a greasy spoon. That could not be further from the truth. This little friendly welcoming cafe is clean and tidy it offers a decent selection of food and drink options at great prices all served with a smile from the server introducing herself as Karen to my kids. As we had suffered a poor quality breakfast the day before we decided to have a treat and selected hearty options from the breakfast menu. For a family group order of 6 adults and 5 children we couldn't of been happier. The wait for the fresh cooked food is a little long but it is well worth it when it arrives. You will not leave hungry from this cafe and your taste buds will not be left wanting. I was particularly impressed with the black pudding and sausage. My brother in law assures me that the burger was very nice too. On our next visit to the area this will be a garunteed stop off and I could even suffer more than one visit before traveling home. A lovely, lively cafe with friendly table service! Food is freshly cooked, delicious and plentiful. This is a well-run cafe - no sticky tables or stained menus here! Well worth a visit.

Don't press snooze if you want good food, cleanliness, great banter and freshness. Well worth getting up from dawn to dusk.

great cafe, full English breakfast is too die for with loads of choices, best ever homemade lasagna you will ever taste, everything freshly made so always hot.well worth the wait and will be using eveytime in the area

Small but friendly cafe.food is plentiful and always cooked fresh and steaming hot.when busy it can mean a little wait as it doesn't have a mass of staff.but the staff there are always friendly and welcoming,so it eases the little wait.today I had liver ,bacon,fried onions ,chips and mixed veg-consisting of sweet corn,runner beans ,peas,carrots,broccoli and cauliflower covered with enough thick gravy (which isn't lumpy)..I would recommend this place to everyone...the menu has a good variety from breakfast dishes to burgers to good English dishes like shepherds pie,or even italian dishes -homemade lasagne, which I've had several times and is lush.

Don't go if you want a quick snack. Our average wait for a jacket potato was nearly an hour. It may have been busy, but I don't have that much time to waste WAITING for my meal. I walked out!

I go here a lot and every time it gets my approval. Staff are extremely friendly and recognize you when you walk in. Very family friendly. The food is fantastic and good value for money.

I was in this town today working and popped along to the high st to find something for lunch. Went in hungry came out full and happy. Nice burger and chips with lots of fresh salad and onion in it. Lovely big portion and nice cuppa too. Friendly staff and nice and clean.

Parking limited to the street across the road but otherwise no other problems. Fresh food daily and cooked to your requirements . Friendly staff.

This Cafe opens at 8am, is nice and clean and has really friendly staff.Check it out you won't be disappointed.
