What a marvellous find, Authentic Portuguese food with genuine Portuguese staff who obviously put love into their tasty food as well as friendly natural service. Wish we lived closer and were not just visiting the area.

Our first time eating in after only ordering in. Great service and always good food. As a suggestion we’d love to hear Portuguese music and reminisce about our holidays!

Went in for the first time after reading the good reviews. Booked a table for 2 and had excellent food and drink. All freshly cooked. We were made to feel really welcome even though they were extremely busy with food orders/deliveries. The red wine was excellent & really good price. Will definitely be returning.

Me and my friend we were the first to taste their chicken and chorizo burger it was really tasty with the bbq and Mayo sauce topped up with cheese the best burger ever and the chicken wings were on fire 🔥 😋 we really enjoyed every bit such a small restaurant but giving out Dynamites 😃

Honestly the best place in Northwich Cheshire.

All aspects of the visit were good apart from the wine, which doesn't live up to a quality Portuguese wine. I can live with that, as last time I was there I had sangria which was excellent

Finally a place that's authentic and fresh. I'm originally from Manchester, so I'm used to having great food on my doorstep. Since moving to Northwich I've been disappointed with the quality of food in the area. Its only known for the worst KFC in the country and is essentially a food dessert with your bog standard low quality take aways. I thought I'd give Sunny's a try and collected my order. The people there are nice and its very clean. They clearly care about what they serve. The chicken and chorizo tasted fresh and wasn't dry and massively exceeded my expectations. My only critique would be that the fries were average. But the food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back again.

Waited an hour to get dry chicken and dry ribs with little flavor, also chips brought 5 minutes later. Wast of money and wont go again

10/10 chicken wrap with fries.. clean fresh and tasty and not overpriced..

Had a meal deal and wasn't even provided with the drink. Yes I ordered a beer separate, so they should have also provided a can of drink. Also charged for table service which we weren't aware of, they didn't tell us there was a charge. They even charged for a small mayo, didn't know it was charged. Overall quite poor they could just tell us if these charges and at least provide the drink that should come with meal.

I love this place! Very welcoming warm and friendly staff, the food is always cooked lovely, reasonable pricing and great atmosphere I would highly recommend! Don't forget to try their sangria if you do go for a visit.

My son and I popped in here whilst waiting for some tennis rackets to be restrung at the sports shop opposite. My goodness me, the food was good! We went for the piri piri chicken (mild) with rice. Honestly, it was so good. The tomato/garlic rice was like nothing I'd tasted before and the chicken was cooked to perfection. If this place was near our house (which sadly it isn't) we'd be there every week! Five stars!

This is an awesome place to get amazing Piri Piri chicken. Can vouch for it being legit and delicious. Would recomment pre-ordering as everything is fresh. Would highly recommend.

I had a fabulous evening meal there last night the food is delicious and the service was friendly and fabulous. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Had to take some home there was so much.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. I had spicy piri piri chicken with rice and a bottle of Portuguese house red. The bolinhos de bacalhau (cod balls/cakes) are lovely too. Will eat there again.

Better then Nandos. This little restaurant serves tasty and authentic Portuguese peri peri chicken. Its not the first time we have been here and the food is constantly amazing whether we sit in or get a delivery. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The food tastes so much better than a standard takeaway and the Portuguese puddings are to die for!

Nice food, but, the 1/2 chicken, consists of more bone, than meat. 3-4 mouthfuls of chicken, for £9.99. They’d be better off sending a boneless chicken breast. The chorizo bread was nice. Wouldn’t order again.

We used this place a few times! We really like the quality of the food! Nice helpful staff! Even our fussy daughter liked the food from there! Sometimes it's very busy so give yourself a time to order,as waiting time can be a bit longer than usual!

Delicious authentic Portuguese food. What an absolute delight to have found this place. Totally worth having to drive 40 minutes for a great meal. Proper Portuguese style: delicious, affordable and well made. There’s a very cheap (£0.20) car park just next door. Keep up the good work

Ordered 4 meals and one missing! Imagine being the person with no food and how it made the rest of us feel (guilty) when eating ours. Tried to call them 3 times but no answer. In addition the chicken that we did get smelt luke sulphur

Ordered food which took a big to come chicken was so dry very very greasy to the point I could not eat it chips were OK but the cheese on chips was disgusting I would not recommend this restaurant.

Step aside nandos. Best chicken I've ever had and wonderful service too.

Nice food, but waited 2 hours for it. I litterally could have gone to the shop, come home, cooked the exact same meal and eaten in before it had arrived. Bought a bottle of wine for £17 and whwtvarrived was a £4 bottle of red wine. Daylight robbery I'm not happy about this wait at all.

Lovely takeaway fantastic chicken and rice cooked to perfection. Also to your own taste nice and hot for me but very mild for my wife but still flavoursome.

Mediocre food ordered a kids meal for my child but came caked in grease and ‘chicken strips’ tasted frozen and was very tough. Wings were chard black. The ribs and chips were quite nice thought along with decent delivery time.

I can't say the food was bad. The chicken was tender and full of flavour. The Peri Peri chips were okay, but the rice lacked any real substance, some veg might have been nice. This would have been great, but I was given a 75 - 95 minute window, which I was okay with, so when my food didn't arrive in the time window (considering how long it already was), I decided to ring and was told, although very apologetic, the food would be another 45 - 60 minutes. Making my total waiting time around 3 hours, then when the food did arrive, it was warm not hot, just warm. I honestly highly doubt I will order again from here and if you are time constrained, I recommend you don't either. As someone who was once employed as a chef, this is an unacceptable length of time for a customer to wait whether in-establishment or takeaway, even with issues in the kitchen. I feel awful for leaving a poor review, as the food genuinely tasted good, but I don't feel appreciated at all as a customer and hope you guys can fix issues like this going forward. Keep making good food, just work on delivery. This review is not meant with any malice or ill intent, just a genuine call for better service - as I would love to order from here and support local a business'.

As we couldn't go to Portugal on holiday, we ordered takeaway for us and our friends Instead. Absolutely delighted with the 'full board' - variety and quality of food was excellent. Great customer service too when I phoned to ask about ordering and delivery.

Went onto uber tonight, looked at this restaurant before, thought we would give it a try. It stated we would get our food in 25 to 30 minutes, they lied to get the order. Please do not trust the delivery time stated on uber.

Just great quality, tasty food, simply done. The chicken is always tender and tasty, with just the right amount Peri Peri spice to chose from. The Peri Peri chips are amazing. 2nd takeaway this week from Sunny. Delicious and tender piri piri chicken! Big salad and piri piri fries, doesn't get much better. All the family enjoyed. I'd eat here any day over Nandos. Great place fantastic food exceptional staff

Have visited a few times and always been really quality This time, I ordered a chicken, ribs, chips and rice meal for my family to help celebrate my 14 yr old sons birthday and this was his takeaway of choice Really friendly welcoming staff Got the food home and it was perfect, freshly cooked, really tasty and good value In fact, we ordered a bit too much so enjoyed a lovely chicken lunch the next day - which was nice ! Highly recommended and will be back soon

Firstly can I say the food really nice not wow or amazing we tried you for the first time and sorry to say we wont be using you again the reasons why are. Really small portions ( especially belly pork) it really is a cheap cut of meat but the price sky high The rice was just rice no veg no meat. The stone soup bland. More importantantly your only competition is Nandos you have the opportunity to be really successful sort the above and you will take care

Friendly owner who makes great Portuguese food at a really fair price. Spent a number of holidays in Portugal and am always on the lookout for great authentic Peri Peri. Visited a half a dozen times now and love eating there. The interior is humble (mostly take away) but it is possible to have a pleasant sit down meal. Thank you Tiago, keep up the hard work!

6 of us went here. We did book in advance and was kept up to date via text.The staff were really friendly and helpful and explained the different dishes and flavours to us.I had half chicken piri piri and it was great! All 6 of us really enjoyed it here. Quite small but great vibe. Very colourful decor. Only opens at 5pm and all food cooked fresh so takes about 20 minutes. Really tasty, great portion sizes and great prices.Well worth a visit...its great.

Order, Chicken warp with salad and mayo, Chips with cheese, Portion of pork belly and Naan. Mediocre and over priced, Considering the cost of the portions from sunny I was expecting more for my buck. Each portion was what I would class as small but priced like large. The Pork belly was over cooked and tasted vinegary and of charcoal. the chips were under cooked. The £2 naans looked like had they had been popped out of a Sharwood's pack and tasted like cook had not read the instructions. The Wrap was okay. Overall I was unimpressed with my first and what has become last order.

Food was absolutely delicious. I had a chicken a d chorizo wrap. There was huge chunks of meat in it! My other half has belly pork and it was one of the best he has ever had! Fantastic customer service. Will order again 😊

An authentic Portuguese cafe and takeaway serving homemade starters and soups, plus delicious barb b q Piri Piri Chicken and roasted Pork. There are other traditional meals, including codfish with cream, as well as wraps, rice, fries and salad. They also serve various Portuguese desserts. Their egg custards are absolutely delicious! Good selection of tea, coffee and cold soft drinks. Would recommend the Sunny Chicken Piri Piri Salad. The owner and staff are extremely welcoming and hospitable.

I’ve had a takeaway ( best order in advance as food is made fresh to order) and a sit in meal and both where wonderful.The food is different, fresh and well prepared, sitting in is a nice experience as it’s like being abroad with a good vibe about the place. I thought very good value for money...The place deserves to do well.....

Everytime I have come I like it more and more. The food quality is great,cleanliness fantastic and the family that run it are so friendly and accommodating. Probably my favourite place to eat in this area. Can't recommend enough.

Without doubt the best food within the town centre.

I have had take out from this place more than five times and am always impressed by the quality. A whole chicken with large rice is £13 and easily feeds two hungry people. The owner is clearly passionate about his food and takes his time to prepare quality stuff. Miles better taste and value than Nandos

This was my 2nd time visiting This lovely little restaurant/ Takeaway and in fact did not disappoint me this chicken it’s cooked to perfection very tasty and sharp on flavour ! I had the chance to see the chef cook while I was having a coffee with my friends as the restaurant it’s open plan very clean place indeed! The atmosphere is really friendly no cons to point. We visited here a couple of weeks ago. The food was great, large portions, freshly cooked. We had a 'half board' between 4 of us and struggled to eat it all, there was salad, great rice, chips, spicy chicken, ribs, belly pork and chorizo, plus 4 soft drinks, all for 28.00 pounds. It's a café and fairly basic, but the food makes up for it. Knocks Nando's into a cocked hat!
