Sundarban is my go-to for really delicious food which is also great value. I’ve never actually visited the restaurant as our order is always delivered, so this review is based on takeaway only. I always select the “menu for one” (starter, main dish, rice, potatoes, salads, yoghurt sauce & poppadum) for an amazing £14.95 and if it’s just me eating it, there’s always enough for a second day (who doesn’t love a stash of leftover curry to reheat?!) If I’m sharing my meal then I add a dish or two . The Goan chicken is delicious. Quality dips occasionally when I guess they have a change of chef, but generally it’s consistently good. Recommended 😊🙏

We ordered a takeaway for this evening for collection. Collected and got home to find completely the wrong order. Tried calling but they had their phone off the hook so we drove back down there. To be greeted with the rudest man who actually tried to blame us for their mistake. Told us we said yes to a name that wasn’t even close to what the name we gave actually was. Then they lost our order and tried using that as an excuse. No apology given just complete and utter rudeness to which we decided we no longer wanted to have the takeaway from here then he threw the money back at us! Absolutely DISGUSTING customer service tonight we normally have the nicest experience here but this man was just incredibly RUDE! He then proceeded as we walked out to shout something at us as we walked away. I’ve worked in customer service for 10 years and have never been spoken to like that. Shame on you I’m glad we had the confidence to stick up for ourselves I just hope he doesn’t do it to someone who doesn’t.

Normally love a take away from here. However, very disappointed last week. Curry itself was good, as were the poppadoms and spinach/potato bhaji. Rice only passable, onion bhaji had been put in with tikka starter and was soggy and wet. Worst part was 'hand made chicken samosas '. There were 2 tiny parcels, worse than an Iceland frozen selection, which they charged £3.50. Disgusting and inedible. Such a shame it appears to have gone downhill, especially when in these times, they should make an effort to keep customers.

Honestly the best Indian by far in Rustington, the food is delicious and lots of different flavours! Lots of good and very reasonable. I have to recommended the Chicken sag balti and also Garlic chilli chicken! The food came hot and packed brilliantly and staff were very pleasant! Definitely worth a try!

Lovely food for a take away restaurant. What I got could not have ask for better.. king prawn Puree (Green chillies) Bombay allo (madras flavour ) tandoor chicken,jarpaty, and popadoms,and mint sauce.it was lovely with my take away I had from somewhere else last night.....

Delicious food, great taste, the staff and chef very friendly. Almost every week we are doing take away from Sudarban and we never get bored. Their menu are different from any other restaurant or take away...you have the traditional curry and different curries to try as well.... I am ticking all my boxes try all different curries every time I ordered and it’s absolutely delicious. We will definitely will never go anywhere else

Been searching a very long time for a good Indian takeaway and then came across Sundarban, wont go anywhere else now. The food is so full of flavour nothing I’ve eaten before comes close. The chef is excellent and will cook food to a heat (chilli) that I like and recommend curries I wouldn’t of normally had the courage to try.

Wow it's been a long time since I used Sundarbarn I can't remember why either this was fantastic!!! Both my self and my partner went for things we don't usually go for. Wanted to get away from our usual hum drum vindaloo or garlic chili. This time we had Naga lamb (very hot) oh my days it was absolutely gorgeous. I have never had lamb Indian curry before always go for fish / prawn or chicken. I am surprised how succulent and melt in the mouth the lamb was. The flavour was amazing. Their pilau rice was the best I've had. I'm not usually a fan of others but the was great. Butterfly king prawn for starters was also great. The pictures don't do it justice. The delivery said that it would take an hour and ten minutes. Which was spot on. That's ok though arrived piping hot. They'd do so well as a restaurant I'd be there every night. Thumbs up from two curry lovers we'll be back

Despite having tried numerous takeaways in the area, we always return to Sundarban. Used to love trying everything on the specials menu but, since having turning vegetarian, have had to get more creative with what we order. Vegetable dhansak is excellent and, for pescatarians, the Goan fish curry is the best I've had for miles around. Our daughters love the chicken Korma and pasanda. This is a takeaway where you can actually taste what goes into the food. Spicy food or hot food is actually spicy or hot rather than toned down. Ingredients like cardamom and coriander are well used and rather than the usual generic sauce you can see what's in your meal. Delivery and collection times are usually spot on, especially away from weekends. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that orders can be confused at busy times (Best to order online at these times) and if the usual chef is not in, food can be hit or miss.

VERY prompt response to phoned orders & the order is always ready at the time quoted. NEVER been disappointed with the standard of cooking & the servings most generous. What more does one want?

Having only recently started using restaurants and take aways in the Angmering area I am really pleased to have found this one, good portion sizes, food was really hot when delivered. One of the best curries I have eaten in a long time and the wife's onion bhajis were definitely the best we have found in a long while, nice and crispy and not at all greasy. Will definitely be recommending here to others.

Posting for my father- Had a really good chicken madras curry recently, and was one of the best I have had in the area for a long time. My wife had a chicken tikka masala and that was pretty good too! Looking forward to the next one!

It may be a coincidence; but I spent the following day after having my takeaway with severe D&V. I have reported to environmental health. The food was okay, (and I've enjoyed food from there before), but wouldn't risk eating from there again just in case.

The food is gorgeous from here. We have just started having take aways and I wish we'd found them sooner. The food is not even remotely greasy, you can taste all the herbs and spices, there are a lot of vegetables and meat in each dish. Also, each dish is true to it's heat rating. Highly recommend this take away.

We waited an hour and a half for out curry on a Monday night, I'd understand if it was a weekend but it was very late and then they forgot our drinks. The driver brought the drinks straight away and gave us a free can but due to the wait I probably wouldn't order from there again. The food was very nice, the service was below average though.

arrived half hour late.... and when me and partner went to eat it was cold and not edible at all asked for refund got refused refund and got told to ask just eat for refund not happy with service at all

Very dry chicken, hardly any sauce in the curry and the popadoms were soft. Haven't been here for a while due to poor service in the past but gave it another try and still disappointed. Won't be coming back

Hemos usado este llevar regularmente desde que nos mudamos a la zona, sin embargo la comida recientemente ha tomado un giro a peor. Ahora hemos tenido comidas completamente inaceptable en 2 ocasiones. El último consistía en una parrilla de tandoori mixto que contenía la carne que estaba frío por dentro y tenía que poner en nuestro horno a ser comestible. La segunda comida consistía de un desastre glutinous. Se han perdido clientes habituales, no se yendo de nuevo.

Waited over an hour for delivery, when it arrived it was luke warm, tried to phone up and No one answered. Yes it is a bank holiday weekend but there is no excuse for cold food. Will not be using them again.

I love this place the last 3 times I orders was great, this time the oil used was clearly dirty and the butter used in the naan was either off or tainted with something !

Han estado utilizando durante más de una década y la comida siempre ha sido buena, pero sufrió una decepción reciente en la 20 th enero con que nos dijeron que ya había cerrado antes de épocas en el menú cuando llamamos?! Esto nos obligó a afortunadamente encontrar una cerca igualmente buena alternativa cocina india Llevar en su lugar que no esté abierta y entregar, como se ha dicho en sus menús.

Took over an hour to get here and when it did finally arrive it was missing one of the mains and then took 15 minutes to get the correct main but first had to argue that I did in fact order the main they hadn't given me ( which I'm 100% sure that I did originally order as I did it on this app which shows you exactly what you ordered) to be fair to them though the food was really good when it finally all arrived and have given me some money off my next order

Pedimos desde aquí esta noche primera vez en un par de años y ahora me pregunto por qué no se detuvo. Absolutamente precioso. Tres platos principales ordenados (todos hemos probado todas las otras) . Tuve un curry de pescado probar, no quería arroz que viene con felizmente intercambian historias para bahjis de cebolla para mí que eran frescas y perfecto. probar el curry de pescado se funden en la boca enormes trozos de pescado blanco, con un chili asada en la parte de arriba, que era delicioso.

This is by far the best take away Indian in the area , never had a bad meal from this place yet and must have used it about 20 times in the last year , they also do home delivery with is normally about 35 min wait on a weekend night

We always use Sundarban when we just want a takeaway, food is always perfect, delivery time very quick, friendly on phone and very friendly delivery drivers, never once had a problem, very reasonably priced x

Ordered via Hungry house, 2 hours delay for a breakfast and a panini!!!I called the customers service and a very rude girl told me they couldn't get in touch with the restaurant as the number they have got was wrong! I asked them to give me some information or my money back and what I have been told is that I just had to wait as they weren't going to give me any refund or discount.NEVER EVER AGAIN

A great set meal for one!..........in fact with the addition of a side dish my wife and I were both full, absolutely the best we have tried. This will be a regular weekly treat for us from now on....thanks guys!

Ordered online with an hours wait that was quickly upped via e mail so I phoned the restaurant to cancel and was assured the meal would be delivered within the hour. So an hour and a half later the wrong food arrived and I when I phoned to complain I was offered the 'right food' at no extra charge.... What a joke.Never again!!!!!!!!!!
