I used to come here all the time with my late nan for take aways years ago, and fondly remember this restaurant. Its wonderful staff and amazing food, but now I have gotten married and moved away. I visited last weekend and apart from the décor inside, nothing has changed. The food is excellent just like I remember and the staff are still so nice and friendly. I love how its just as good as I remembered, this is so rare these days. If your in the area, go visit Passage to India.

Food here is usually good and a fair price, however we paid for poppadoms and opened a big bag to find 1 in there...like a crisp

I've just seen on news about the stupid youths. I hope you are OK, sir, and I'd like to say I hope the police make those idiots pay for the damage!! Keep up the good work, and it's so good to hear 200 people turned up at a meeting about the anti-social behaviour! I live in Newbury Berkshire, but when I'm in Barnham, I WILL COME IN for a taste of your lovely food I've seen in the photos on the reviews. Get better soon, Muhammed Islam.

I haven't eaten here but i wish the owner and staff our very best after that disgusting behaviour from local youths. So sorry you have had to endure this.

Good service lovely food nice ambiance ...well worth a visit

Gorgeous restaurant, attentive service and fantastic food. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The onion bhajis are the best I’ve ever eaten! Most curries can be made vegetarian and there are vegan options too, overall a great spot we go to often

Went in on Wednesday early evening, not to busy so got a table without booking. Been going here randomly for years and the food is always good. Starter came out in good time, but seeing as it wasnt that busy the main took ages. Food was good though so worth waiting for. Staff are freindly, prices are just about right.

So lucky to have this curry house on our doorstep. Staff are incredibly welcoming and the food is divine. A wonderful family run business who make us feel welcome on every visit. Never had a mad meal here.

The restaurant is a little tight for space but the food and service are excellent. Really enjoyed my briyani. My partners butter chicken was however overly coconut. The pricing is however VERY reasonable.

Fantastic curry tonight…..3 different levels of heat plus plenty of sides, all absolutely delicious Cannot rate high enough, Do try, you wont be disappointed!

A good meal fresh and hot, nice and spicey!

We have used this curry house a number of times over the last few years and always had a good experience. Sadly this was not the case today, having spent £86 for a curry for 6 of us we were very disappointed. The meat to sauce ratio was bad, there was about 4/5 large bits of chicken in the curry and the rest was all thin watery sauce! It was like soup! The chicken was really tough and chewy and not pleasant at all. The onion bahjis came out of a very very greasy paper bag that had leaked over everything, the bahjis themselves some didn’t hold together at all, some were really tough and over cooked. Not likely to revisit again was very disappointed for the price we spent!

I have had takeaways from here several times over the last decade. Sadly last weeks was very disappointing - the mains had tough meat/prawns and poor meat:sauce ratio. Rice was ok and the Aloo Gobi was perfect. For £46 for 2 for a takeaway will not be bothering again.

Tucked away round the corner this is a little gem. Staff are lovely, nothing too much trouble and the food is the best around this area. They are also not in the least pushy. The vegetable dishes are clearly freshly cooked, delicious and the prices reasonable.I always over order so I can take it home. Lots of choice of interesting options for meat eaters too. Great for couples or larger groups.

Ordered to collect using the website – which was very simple and our order was ready in good time. The quality of the food was amazing!

Really disappointed. We used to absolutely love this place but had a meal recently and it was disgusting. The korma was watery, chicken tough, the cheese nann had no cheese. Tasteless. We didn’t bother complaining as we wouldn’t want another meal there.

I have never had a bad meal here. Best Indian around.......

Simply the best Indian restaurant experience that we have had. Although we are local and could be considered biased we have yet to experience another Indian restaurant that comes close !

Lovely food in a popular restaurant. Service always good, although on this occasion was a little on the slow side to get food out, meaning we devoured far too many poppadoms while we waited.

Doesn’t provide a delivery service which is frustrating. Collected order and got home to find one of the main courses was missing. Chutneys and onion salad isn’t complimentary. Everything was rather tasteless. The sag aloo and naan were good but the mains and the mushroom rice were poor.

This restaurant is far by the best that I've eaten in around West Sussex! The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food is absolutely amazing here would highly recommend if you live or are in the area!!

Stumbled upon this gem and so glad we did. We got takeaways. Their food not only smelt delicious but it tasted fantastic! The staff were super friendly as we awaited our order. One knows a place is good when the locals eat there. Lovely atmosphere and decor. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend you do!

Great food and friendly service. Decor is perhaps a little dated in style but clean and tidy. They had plenty of space and we had a great evening.

Unbelievably high quality curry. There are two chefs who cook for you at this restaurant and each one has his own individual trademark as you will discover if you eat here frequently. The waiters are extremely helpful and ready to assist you for any requirements you require.

My lovely partner Colin surprised me with a Birthday gathering of 18 friends held at this lovely restaurant in Barnham, which is (and has been) a favourite of ours for a long time. The upstairs area (which is where the usual buffet is held), lends itself beautifully for a private function, as it holds in excess of 25 people in close proximity. The food is of excellent quality and the staff are always welcoming and friendly, no matter how busy they are. I would strongly recommend this restaurant, no matter what the occasion.

Ordered online for a pick up. Very easy to do. Food was lovely, as always. Probably the best Indian locally. Just one problem though... Got home, getting ready to tuck into my meal and there was no papadam! Not happy about that so next time I'll double check before leaving.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had! Staff were kind and had a friendly environment and the food was splendid!

Nicest Indian takeaway that I have had in the area when visiting. Meat is always nice and tender and you can taste the flavours. Rice seemed to be rather watery as had to drain it off and get some kitchen roll during meal to soak up the water/runnyness. Staff polite and always seems to be people in the restaurant.

Where do I start? Well! It doesn't matter if you dine in or dine out, the food is of high quality and generous portions packed with superbly cooked food. The menu has hidden gems such as the chicken nazakath and squid dishes, i would also recommend the sag paneer aswell. Its by far the best Indian ive experienced.

The best Indian food I've ever had, so delicious. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was great and all around a wonderful experience. The portions are on the larger side and are more for sharing than for individuals. 10/10

Ordered a takeaway for my family and was amazed with by the quality and quantity of the food. Everyone's meals were tasty and filling and for the price it was definitely value for money. Will be returning and coming here regularly from now on!

This place does THE most delicious curry I’ve had in 30 years. Rajdoot in Ruislip comes close, but I’d rather have a Passage To India any day. A real gem of a place.

Went on Wednesday 26th . Sadly just my self and my normal dinner friend. But food was just as good as it was pre lock down. Very tasty fresh and full of flavour. Have tried a few differing Indian restaurants around Bognor , All ways come back to "Passage to India"

First time for a long while be because of the virus, again first class food glad it opened again

New to the area & fancied a curry, read the good reviews & it lived up to them, very happy with my delivery! Ordered the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi which was the perfect spice level with good amount of tasty chicken, Mushroom Rice which was soft & full of flavour and both came in long large pots so enough for 2 people / meals! Ordered Bombay Potatoes which were lovely & soft but my only reason for not giving 5 stars is that they were a bit bland, need more flavour, I would have expected some coriander / cumin / chilli in there so I added my own fresh red chillies but maybe thats personal taste. The Delivery Driver was ever so polite & helpful, he delivered the curry on the doorstep without ringing the doorbell as instructed so not to wake the baby - a very good first experience will definitely be ordering again & telling everyone I know in Barnham! Bit of a pain is that they don't take card payments over the phone you'll need cash so bear that in mind & enjoy their tasty curry!

Fab food (albeit cold), manager/owner miserable, face coverings not being worn correctly, social distancing not being observed and service exceptionally slow. Food was cold had to be reheated. Such a shame 😢

MUST VISIT. 5 star service with high quality food. Massively underrated. Best in the local area. Will recommend the Tandoori Salmon Tikka with Mushroom Rice. Easy to reach with car park within a short distance. Highly recommended!

Have had 5 take aways from here and all very good. However last week after getting home, my order was completely wrong. I phoned them and they asked if I could return the meal, this I did. Little in the way of apology, no offer of a reduction in price, which by the way had increased by 10% since the last order. And the whole excerise took a whole hour of driving back and forth plus waiting time. Not impressed, so if you order anything, check your order before leaving the restaurant

Long standing, family run, restaurant and takeaway with the highest quality food and service.

They do not deliver but it's worth the trip to collect good food. Local people need to support this restaurant as we do want to loose this place of great food.

Amazing tasting curries, always travel a little out of the way to come here. All you can eat buffet Monday - Wednesday which usually has 4 different curries, mushroom rice and pilau rice. 2 different types of chicken, Bombay potato, naan bread and salad. Always tastes excellent and staff are always friendly and welcoming!

Have had several lovely meals here with friends and family in the past. The restaurant is always clean and really comfortable. Turned up here for a takeaway about 10.30pm on a wet Tuesday night. Very friendly service as always and no problem ordering a takeaway midweek and very late. Very comfortable waiting area and food was ready after about 10 minutes. Enjoyed our food which was hot and delicious. Just what me and my wife needed after having 'one of those days'. Thank you very much.

We use this restaurant regularly, love the rose. Makes my mum welcome too so a table for three is not an issue like some establishments.

We usually have a take away. The food is excellent , the menu is extensive . We have eaten in on a few occaisions and have had the buffet which is a great way of trying new dishes.

After reading all the reviews of this place i was excited to eat at what I thought would be a hidden gem. The menu boasts that the restaurant has been open since 1990 and I can report that it appears nothing has changed since 1990....

Came here with friends of mine catching up. Good amount of portions which I still manage a dessert and a couple of bottles of beer. Duck tikka massala is always my favourite at this restaurant as I can’t get it in my town in North...

I would consider this to be one of the finest Indian restaurants in west sussex. I can speak from experience being a chief myself. Having eaten in many of the Indian restaurants along the south coast I have always maintained "the chief is the restaurant is the food". That is why this is a must for all you curry conesers. The restaurant has excellent service with extremely friendly and helpful staff and the quality of food is second to none. It is worth a visit.
