Sun Wah in Kirklees

It's ages since we had a Chinese. We always use sun wah. From going to the shop to asking for a menu and having it posted through the letter box at the shop. To talking to the lovely lady on the phone who posted it through. So helpfull as I am a diabetic. I am a diabetic. I discussed certain foods the food that was delivered was absolutely lovely and for me as a diabetic enjoyed it, my partner also enjoyed his food. Thankyou sun wah for giving us both lovely food and the best customer service and delivery.

I've been using Sun Wah for many years. I don't often treat myself to a take-away but when I do it's Sun Wah. The food is tasty and always piping hot. The telephone service is prompt, and deliveries are always on time. Very pleased to have this restaurant in my locality.

We thought we would try out Sun Wah as one of our neighbours had recommended them, they said they had been going there for years. When we ordered over the telephone, we was told the food would be ready for collection in 40 minutes. When my husband and I arrived to collect we were told it wasn’t quite ready which was fine, the takeaway did look busy and the phone was ringing none stop.We got our food after 10 minutes of waiting, the girl on the counter apologised profoundly.We ordered chicken chow main, beef curry, ribs, spring rolls and some egg fried rice. The chow main portion was very large, came in a huge container, my husband didn’t manage to finish it all. The beef curry was lovely with a kick, albeit a little too spicy for my husband so he didn’t have much of that. The spring rolls were lovely and crispy, with lots of vegetables, we got the 2 large veg ones, very nice. The ribs were very spicy but nice all the same, my husband again didn’t eat these, as were too spicy for him too (maybe next time we will ask for less chilli in the salt and paper ribs). All in all a very good meal, will definitely be trying here again. Shame about the long wait for our food but was worth the wait.

Worst chinese i have ever eaten from! The dishes were not authentic, chips were burnt. My daughter found a blonde hair in her dish, she called to complain they asked her to bring the hair back, fobbed her off and said it was not hair but was plastic because all their staff have dark hair. 2 round trips on fathers day for disgusting food and apalling customer service. Safe to say will never order there again, have warned all family and friends!

We have gone to the Sun Wah for our Chinese takeaway meals for many years. Tonight as we had family over we ordered our takeaway. We were horrified at the meal we received. The 1/2 of Duck for the pancakes was dried up. It was presented already sliced in a plastic box. The onions and cucumber hadn’t even been sliced. We had to chop the huge wedges of cucumber up ourselves. How lazy is that?The sauce was a gelatinous blob of a brown sauce oozing what looked like oil. The Chinese leaf chicken was bland. The chicken and cashew nuts was disappointing. The very small anmount of chicken looked like leftover scraps. The flavour was bitter. The seaweed was tasteless. What’s happend. Has the place changed hands?Will not be going back. The pictures below show the leftovers and the oily sauce for the duck.

Ordered take away, half order collected, no rice or chips, phoned to complain, they asked if we had properly checked our bag and assured that 3 staff had checked our order- STAY AWAY FROM HERE, food was less than average anyway

Otra deliciosa comida caliente, entregado a 30 minutos, por un hombre agradable, que fue agradable, aunque la lluvia fue bajando. Los precios subían recientemente, pero antes de que hubieran sido los mismos precios por un largo tiempo. Las comidas son la pena, te dan generosas porciones. gracias!Estoy pensando en mi próximo uno ya.

Pedimos nuestra habitual cena té/, después de 3 semanas de no tener nuestro capricho, ya que el restaurante estaba cerrado por 2 semanas y que estábamos de vacaciones por una semana. Tanto nuestras comidas [Curry curry de gambas+] eran deliciosos y muy bienvenido. Las patatas fritas eran frescas y las setas en su salsa jugosa y sabrosa, todo fue entregado dentro de los 30 minutos de pedir! Fue sin duda vale la pena el 3 semana [y] espera de 30 minutos! Gracias.

We've just had another tasty meal, delivered in good time by a pleasant young man. we had our usual choices of beef curry & prawn curry, both with chips & tasty mushrooms. We really look foreward to our saturday treat, and will do in the future.

Recommended by a friend and after 90 minutes of waiting in ( they quoted 45-60 ) I was fobbed off repetitively!!!!! First and last time I ever order from this place!!!!!! Absolute shambles!!!!

we treat ourselves to a takeaway/delivery meal quite often. their always quick, tasty,good priced. they never let us down. we look forward to our saturday treat.

we ordered a couple of meals for delivery in early january, the young lady was pleasant and clearly spoken. the delivery was only 30 minutes + hot. the man was polite and was suprised when i gave him a tip, maybe other customers dont tip?. the order was correct and very tasty, it saved us from going out into the night. Thankyou!.

we tried here a couple of weeks ago, and found the meals to be nicer than our usual place for our saturday indulgence.the chips are much nicer than weve had before, which makes the rest enjoyable. hubby has prawn curry and i have beef curry, we share a portion of mushrooms with our meals. we have found that we clear our plates now, whereas before we always left some [usually hard or crozzled chips]. the staff are polite and pleasant, the prices are good for the amount you receive.
