Sun Do Chinese Takeaway in Bromley

Fantastic chow mein and pancake rolls. Ribs are hit and miss with amount of meat- last takeaway spare ribs were disappointing . Ordered special egg fried rice - dry, bland and hardly any egg. Overall loved the food just tweak the spare ribs and special egg fried rice. Otherwise thoroughly recommend.

Have used this Chinese for many years when I lived in the area. When returning back to the area found out it had changed owners. Lovely food and always tastes fresh. Customer service is great and if there is any problems they always thrive in rectifying them. Will always support our local businesses. Thank you ☺️ p.s. for future reviews if you have any problems call the restaurant rather than put them down from a Google review they will always do their best to rectify mistakes which happens in any business!

Ordered a 3 dishes and thought o e of them with rice. But no it wasn’t. Called back just to let them know it is not clear on their online menu and would have ordered a portion of rice otherwise, he goes on and tries to make me feel silly for telling him that instead just apologising for having to eat my food rice less. None of the dishes are as described!

I was a customer of the old sun do I was a fireman and they used to give me discount I moved to Cyprus a few years ago I still had my house in Orpington I found out that the sun do had reopened after being closed for some while I was apprehensive about ordering to my surprise the food was probably better than before I highly recommend this Chinese takeaway and it’s the best one I’ve ever had so please support them I guarantee you will not be disappointed

After some time of not using the Sun Do, due to it being closed, I thought I’d try it and see what it’s like. I received the order/delivery and arrived within the time stated, however, that was the only good thing from ordering from the Sun Do. The food was appalling. Quarter duck was dry and very bony (including backbone and random loose bone that were fried). Seaweed was inedible and smelt terrible. No idea what oil they fry things in but it was disgusting. Ribs were fatty and very oily. Each sauce provided was also very oily. Most of which was binned. Overall, awful and will never use again.

Wow. Really difficult ao find a decent chinese place. Wow. Really good food. And im chinese aswell so i know whats good, whats bad. Wow.. Fair price too for 2024. I will be back.

Ordered a mixed meat w/ prawns in gravy tonight and unfortunately it is just so bland and without flavour and has zero to no gravy plus the rice isn't fried tastes like packet rice. The service was lovely and quick.

The staff is so friendly, and the food is amazing! This is the authentic taste of Hong Kong. You should definitely give it a try!

First time ordering here for delivery through the app, and eatting here in general. the prices are amazing which first caught my attention, it came so fast and the delivery man was lovely and friendly! The only thing I didn’t like was the sweet and sour sauce it just doesn’t taste like sweet and sour sauce, but besides that I’m so happy! Ordered 2 cans of coke got a bottle of Diet instead but that doesn’t matter either because the lovely food made up for it! I think I will deffo be back!

Said 15-20mins wait for collection, arrived and food was waiting in thermal bag to keep warm which was great. Food was really nice, especially the chicken chow mein. Will definitely order again

Not sure why this has such low ratings - I’ve been going here for years and the food is always delicious, high quality and fantastic - highly recommend (sun do starter pack A is a real treat!!!!)

First time using them and last ordered at 6.30 and by 8pm still no food I rang her to question this got told only 1 driver but food was cooled and ready. They just dont care only my rice would be sitting longer than 40 minutes before they turned up, food poisoning alert. That's very poor delivery service never again sorry

Not sure why people slag this place off so much. They're the only Chinese that do delivery in the Petts Wood area and the food is perfectly good for the price. Never had an issue with them over the phone either, always polite. And if you're ordering on a Friday night when it's busy then you should expect a bit of a wait!

Delivery service poor, said 45 mins to 1 hr. when phoned after 1 he 15 mins they said it left 5 mins ago. Then when called after another 20 mins was told it’s raining driver has to go slow, called again after 2 hrs was told it was on its way. Questioned why they were not being honest they then said the driver had broken down and they would get another driver. Asked them to be honest, they then said there was roadworks. Will not use again as over 2 hours being fobbed off is poor service and they clearly don’t care about their customers

Food good but delivery worse ever! Waited for more than two hours!!!

Phoned to place an order the women on the phone was so rude!!! Was in such a rush she didn't get my address right and I had problems getting the food and when arrived there was food missing and when I called to let them know she said I hadn't ordered. The food was also pure grease. Almost inedible!!! Never again

Will not order from this Chinese again. I normally order from Coral Sea but I thought I would give this one ago. I was charged £18 for just special fried rice, dry BBQ ribs and chicken satay. The rice come in a very small container. Not even enough for one person. So I called them up and asked why is the rice in such a small container as Coral Sea give you lots of rice in a large container and it is beautiful. I got no help what so ever. They first said I asked for small rice. Then when I said no I didn't they said that is the size they come. Then they just kept saying buy on the phone then hung up when I was still talking. So very rude. I will never order from here again. Will always order from Coral Sea which is just down the road from this place. What a waste of a good Friday evening.

This was my first visit for many years (we used to live local to it). First the positives - I ordered 7 items last night, so not a huge order but £30+. The food was good so no complaints there. However, the chicken chow mein contained NO chicken whatsoever! I didn't go back as my wife and I were hungry and I'd already driven 15 mins each way plus a 10/15 minute wait whilst it was cooked. But to get one item wrong out of 7 doesn't exactly instill me with confidence to go back.

Always my favourite take-away. Not the cheapest though.

Ordered food at 21.15 on a quiet Wednesday night. Still hadn't arrived by 2200. Rang them, replied with, driver is just leaving now. Got a phone call back about an accident and the driver was held up, apperntly the driver had to return back to Chinese. In be known why. Waited till 2230 before I gave up and cancelled order.

I’ve found that the staff have been rude on the 2 occasions I have ordered from there. The first time the food was horrible and it went straight into the bin. I ordered again after 6 months, thinking I would give it another try and unfortunately it was exactly the same. It got thrown straight in the bin. Horrible

Just horrible food. Everything we ordered went in the bin. They took half hr to give us our order, which was fine considering there were eight items, out of which they forgot one. Not recommended.

I ordered food and got told 30mins wait... I waited 1hr and a half, they never callled or kept me updated so when I called to find out why it's taking so long and the staff were extremely rude and unprofessional and never apologised then just cancelled my order and hung the phone up!!! Absolute joke... Never ordering from them again.

Based on the reviews I read I wasn’t expecting great Customer Service. So ‘Sun Do’ lived up to my expectations! Hence the four stars. Food was hot, great tasting and a huge portion at a good price. I’m full.

Just collected our first take away from this place. I can’t believe I have paid good money for this rubbish. Not only this but they got the order wrong and I have just thrown the whole lot away. I would definitely not recommend it.

No sense of customer service. I ordered on-line and through no fault of mine the software malfunctioned. The end result was I paid later only to find I had paid twice. Despite this, insist I have to prove the transaction, even though as it is a bank transaction it would be easy for them to check. Buy in person if you must. Food is okay but not fantastic. Avoid -line ordering system. I shan't be buying again.

Awful. The green thai curry I ordered was the worst thing I've ever ordered from a takeaway. You'd think they could have googled the recipe. Boiled chicken in a greenish water. Won't waste my money there again.

Was given the wrong order and tried to blame me after they read back correct order and then hung up when they realised their error when I called back they told me I had to collect my order after i had been dropped home In a taxi

Very poor - ordered a delivery online in an hours and half's time. Unfortunately at the requested time - No show. Phoned to find out status, but it had not even been cooked as they were busy so had to cancel order. Huge shame.

Ordered food tonight it took 45min to arrive and it was cold had to reheat in microwave as a chef I knew what to do but eating cold rice and prawns could have been really ill or rushed to hospital

Food is nice but the customer service is shocking 3 times they've messed our order up and when you ring and ask them about it they put the phone down

I don't order Chinese often but when I do I always order from here. I have been using this place for more than 5 years now. The food is always nice, generous portion size and good customer service over the phone. I've recommended this place already to a few people and will continue to do so. I know it's hard to find a good Chinese takeaway but this place will not let you down!

It's the worst food ever . Chips was soggy and cold. And it taste of dirty oil. The staff were extremely rude .would not recommend any one to eat out of there

Worst Chinese iv even been to ordered a nice big meal ended up just eating the chips, bbq sauce looked like muddy pond water, beef curry tasted like spicey thick water :@ :? Staff was rude wish I never wasted my money to top it of I had to give 1 star :(

Without doubt the best Chinese takeaway for miles . A consistent high standard of food , with great service !

My favourite Chinese locally and I go there regularly. But a smile every now and then wouldn't hurt would it? :-)
