Olive Tree Restaurant in Bromley

Recibimos un vale de regalo de Navidad por £ 50 , la única restricción no se pudo utilizar un sábado. Fuimos un viernes. A la llegada dije que teníamos un vale y nos dieron el menú - ofertas de enero. Cuando nuestra factura llegó el filete era £ 28 no £ 14 ? como se aconseja - todo era el doble del precio que en el menú! Escalado al gerente que nos aconsejó que como teníamos un vale teníamos que pagar doble, así que pedí el vale de vuelta y me dijeron que no se puede tomar una bebida gratis que no queríamos. En resumen, pagamos el doble de precio ya que nos dieron un vale para un regalo de Navidad!

Nice cafe, good value 👏, bit surprised when about to pay..was asked if I wanted to leave a tip?! I don't generally in a cafe.

Beautiful food...fairly priced...fair portions. Good size menu with something for everyone. It's a family run business so nothing is ever to much trouble for them. They also have a kids menu and small desert menu.Ms Zehan Mr James and other members are extremely polite

The Olive Tree Restaurant in Bath may be the most reprehensible establishment I have ever had the misfortune to enter. My family booked the restaurant with our disabled child whilst on holiday recently. We were met in the basement by frosty staff. We felt most uncomfortable and our disabled child insisted on leaving overcome by claustrophobia. We explained and apologised and obviously had to leave without actually ordering any food whatsoever. The staff, especially, the chef was barely able to contain his anger. To say there was a lack of empathy or indeed, any humanity or understanding for a disabled child and their complex needs, is an understatement. The next day, we were sent a hefty bill for food we had not ordered, saying the table had to be paid for whether we ate or not. Needless to say, they gave no quarter to my appeal for understanding because of our disabled child or the fact, not even a bottle of water was consumed. If there was a lower score than 0, I would give it to the Olive Tree.

Service was average, food not much better and they won't let you swap a breakfast item for something else without a charge. Most other cafe will do swaps with no charge. Can wait for Tea Tree to open again after their summer break.

The food was good, but the service was pretty slow and the child serving us nearly spilled the food. They charged you more than was listed on the menu and if you wanted to swap an item you had to pay extra for that item even if it was the same price as what you were swapping - bit of a con. Wouldn’t return anytime soon unfortunately.

My daughter and I enjoyed our pudding and chosen drinks. The portion size was good. Spacious restaurant, clean with good service. Reasonable prices.

Awesome team, always clean, polite and helpful. Food always spot on. Came in today (as we have every Thurs for past few weeks) had a burger, chips, cheese on toast a coffee and a coke. Nothing too much trouble for these guys. 5 Stars.

This little gem k Orpington High Street is a really good value place to go for a really filling lunch. Was a brilliant little cafe. Food here was absolutely fantastic and really good value.

Food was excellent as was the service no complaints at all, as a matter of fact we found a little gem and may well be regulars now. Price was very cheap compared to other restaurants...thumbs up to that.

Went in for lunch and drink and very disappointed. Not overly busy but sat and waited to be served for over 10 minutes. Waitress said I will be back when asked if we had to go to till to order. 10 further minutes and watching her serve 5 other people we left. Never have I had such bad service

Very rude unprofessional waitress. Breakfast was not good. Food was just piled on top of each other. Chips on top of beans on top of bacon. Chips were not cooked and the coffee was awful. Not worth your time or money especially with the bad customer service. On a good note the decor was very nice a pleasure to sit inside just don't eat anything,🤢

If I could , I would have given no stars. But the one stars is for the bacon, really nice . We ordered Set 3 x 3 To start, waitress is awful! No welcome no smile very abrupt answers. I was super friendly, so was my daughter. My husband treated her with the same abruptness. We ordered cappuccino’s, for it says coffee/tea included. Waitress did not bother to inform us , that cappuccinos Are not included. My daughter asked for water not the coffee and tea included. Cappuccinos had no foamed milk on-top, just hot milk was added. No brown sugar was offered, nor sugar on table. Only two small sachets of white sugar was given . We were not offered, how the one egg was prepared, sunny side up, broken, soft, medium…. Bacon was truly delicious. Mushrooms had no flavour and nor did the sausage. Toasted white bread , only bread or toasted was offered not white or brown, was so thick it must have taken up the whole loaf of bread to give us 3 slices!!! No butter offered, it was buttered already, which I actually liked! We were charged for the cappuccinos. Don’t mind , would just been nice to have been told/ informed. Won’t be back again, pity for I have always wanted to try it.

Very unfriendly welcome from waitress followed by mediocre food and a cappuccino which can best be described as milky coffee with chocolate sprinkled over it. There are so many other better options.

Been going for ages for my breakfast, on days I visit my son. Today's wasn't quite up to their usual standards tbh, bacon bit hard, rest of it not hot enough, but was very busy. Sure it's a blip. Won't put me off going. 👍

What a wonderful little high street cafe. Very bright, clean and welcoming.

Normally a really nice restaurant, and very busy! Not that it is a bad thing however, only 1 waitress on the floor who took a while to come because she was so busy and she wasnt as friendly as she could have been, I ordered an orange juice and she said 'no' and not in a jokingly funny way, made my friend alittle uncomfortable. I think she was a bit over worked which I'm not going to criticise her for! However, as a 1st impression it doesnt bode well especially as I work in the high street and most traders are lovely! It didn't make the restaurant look good, however, she didn't ruin anything, the food we ordered was lovely! And had 2 cups of tea, in lovely warming cups! So I would recommend, maybe the poor waitress was having a bad day, let's hope she has a better one tomorrow!

I pop in here every now and again for breakfast or lunch. Food is always top notch and the staff are friendly and attentive. With so many businesses disappearing in Orpington, it's nice to see this Cafe is still going and serving real food at good prices.

Very disappointed with lunch today. Half of my jacket potato was black so inedible. Service was slow, tables were left covered with plates etc and both waitresses continually fiddled with their hair. Unfortunately I won't be going back.

Great food which was well priced. Loads of choice from their menu including roast dinner, omelettes, all-day breakfast, salads, jacket potatoes and panini. Bright and clean and the staff were lovely.

Popped in here to kill some time before the bus and was really surprised how lovely it was. Really spacious, fresh and clean inside and the atmosphere was so nice. There's a lovely blonde waitress who has all the time in the world to chat to the regulars, which is so important after so many elderly people have been very isolated after the pandemic. The food is amazing value and really really tasty. I wish I came to Orpington high street more often so I could eat here more... But then again probably best not or I will eat nothing but fried breakfast for ever 😂 Thanks so much for being so lovely!
