The food is disgusting I have just thrown £45 worth straight in the bin, I sat down to eat it with my family and it was absolutely shocking. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

Abysmal… collected our food as didn’t want to wait 2 hours and the shop felt dirty itself. Got home and the prawn crackers were stale. Satay chicken is slimy and tastes like sandwich meat, chicken balls were more batter than chicken and the chow mein tastes like it was from 3 weeks ago. Oh, and I assume the hairs are a free added extra? AVOID!

Decent food. A bit dismal to visit, really just a waiting room for home delivery drivers. They really need to do something about the behaviour of said drivers, who regard it as a right to park (fully) on the pavement and severely obstruct it.

Food is good but delivery times are never as stated. Orders can easily exceed quoted times by 50%. Ie an hour will turn into 1.5 hours.

Just received the food , the rice is covered in pasta and gunge it’s awful … no sesame prawn toast and and hour and a half wait for the muck … never again … I’m fed up with not getting the correct order

Were to start , you get what your given not what you order, when you complain your called a liar, what food was delivered was stone cold (to be expected when its nearly 2 hours late) even the dog turned his nose up , 1st & last time ordering from here ….. my advise AVOID this place …. Unless of course you enjoy cold food & not what you ordered !

Too hot to cook! First time ordering for delivery. Found the food to be hot and fragrant, pork was tender and sauces thick and tasty. A bit pricey but worth it. Recommend.

5 of my day I am getting my dinner at tham. I love it so much. Tne quality and prices, is all the same i have eat at most of the posh places in London. Recommend to anyone who like a Chinese, or asian cuisine. For me is a excellent chose. Thank you.

Food was soggy that was supposed to be crispy . Rang to complain as cost us 40 pounds with a lady with kid's talking in the background shouting . Not how to deal with customers.made useless reason why not good and they have orders they need to do but the lady I spoke to was looking after kids.

Ordered crispy chicken but got crispy beef although don’t eat beef until I had couple of mouth fulls. Rang the shop andlady seemed not bothered even though I explained I have never eaten beef , spent most of my evening feeling sick and could not eat my meals so massive waste. No refund was given just said will replace the beef to chicken. No customer care and doubt what you eat is what you get . Be warned !

How this place doesn’t have a Michelin star is beyond me. The best Chinese takeaway in the south east, utterly sensational. The crispy shredded beef and smoked chicken is to die for.

Placed an order and they forgot about it. I called an hour after it was due and they said another 30 mins. I asked if she even placed my order and she then abruptly said "OK I'll cancel your order" and put the phone down. Demented.

Relatively new to this place. Lady at the desk is pleasant and chatty. Good dumplings options and chicken & sweetcorn soup is nice. Credit card machine is thick with dust and grime, which makes you question whether or they have the same attitude to cleanliness in the kitchen, which is a bit off-putting. Furniture for customer to sit on in grimey and worn, so I would avoid using that at all costs. I would give the food 5 starts but the cleanliness 1 star.

Tried this place for the first time recently after hearing about it for so long. It's actually replaced my usual favourite! The salt and pepper squid and prawns are amazing and the portions are bigger than my usual place. Definitely swapping to this place now!

I ordered from here and waited an hour and a half for my order and then they finally cancelled. Don’t not trust this place to order from.

Waited nearly 2 hours for order, then Lotus cancelled our order for no reason and no explanation, they had charged us already and then charged us again for no reason. No explanation or communication. Disgusting service. Do not order from here! Never delivered!!!and charged twice!!! Awful!!!

I have ordered a few times now. I've never read the bad reviews until today when I thought I'd write a review myself and am quite shocked they are there. This is my go to chinese takeaway. Have even had our friends compliment the food at takeaway nights. I will definitely continue using this resteraunt.

They do have great dishes, but are sometimes let down by the quality of the food. Like prawns that are not fresh ect.. never had a problem with delivery times though.

I ordered Pad thai this afternoon for pick-up, when i got home and open the box, i was very suprised and dissapointed, They have given me half way portion of the Pad thai which I paid full price. I called to complain and they said because the ingredients now are getting expensive thats why its serve like this from now on. Such a big dissapoitment and a waste of my money. I will never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I always buy from here and the food is always great, but today I fancied the king prawn pad Thai noodles, I am sorry to say this is one of the worst I have had. It was literally the noodles nuts prawns with a watered down s&s sauce. If you are going to sell such an amazing Thai dish then please do it justice, or just don't sell it at all. Other then that the food here is very good.

I understand it was NYE. No one going out. Ordered here at 6 with delivery 45mins. 8.30 still no delivery. Asked for refund. Finally arrived at 9. Message this morning from Lotus saying sorry it was late driver stuck in traffic 😂 you will not be getting refund. Will NEVER order again from this place. Not even a discount and at least give a better excuse. Utterly disgusting customer service.

Would give 0 stars if I could.. Ordered at 6, told it would be here at 7:20. No sign of any food at 8... Rang at 8:20 and was told it would be another hour!! Cancelled food and then read all the reviews... Lucky escape!!! Don’t bother and go somewhere else.

Still waiting for food now. Ordered at 6pm was told it was supposed to be arriving for 7:30pm. Tried calling numerous times there hasn't been any answer or update on my just eat order. Would avoid.

Ordered via just eat at 9pm. Nothing at 10.30 so rang to chase. The restaurant then tell me the order is cancelled as we are a long way away and they are short of drivers. Only then do I get a order cancellation from just eat. Shocking service, will not use again.

Ordered at 5ish for pick up, was told 10 minutes. Got home the food was cold, don't think it was cooked long enough to have a chance of being hot. The chicken was like goo, nasty. The curry well, I had house curry and there was a dribble bit of watered down curry source so it was all very cold and dry. Soon as I tasted it, it didn't taste like a normal Chinese but I was so grateful to actually have a Chinese and after paying £35 I ate it. I wish I never, I feel ill, bad belly. People avoid no matter how much you want a chinese

Very pleasant staff, always accommodating and food always done right nice and hot andto accurate time, very tasty and perfect for sufficient meal. I also think it is very reasonably priced in today’s market. I believe more people should try what they have here to offer.

I went in to order to find a toddler sitting on a potty behind the counter where the food is being served,(did not smell too good i can tell you) If that's what happens in view, what is the hygiene like where you cannot see, a place that is dirty on the outside cannot be clean on the inside, I'm supprised they haven't been closed down Eat at your own risk

My favourite Chinese takeaway in Orpington , food is always lovely , smoked shredded chicken is always so nice and the chicken is always good . Really good customer service and overall is the best take away. Food always fresh , never had a bad meal from here.

Went to this take-away Chinesse restaurant yesterday, as our normal one was closed. Ordered chicken curry, egg fried rice, and a portion of chips. I can,hand on heart honestly say, the food was absolutely putrid, vile, disgusting,not fit for human consumption garbage, so much so that I'm contacting Bromley invomental health to pay them a urgent visit. If the chicken that was supposed to be in the chicken curry, was chicken I'm Father Christmas, the whole meal went into the dustbin as not even safe for a animal to eat,also the rice looked a month old,and as for the chips,errrrrr, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, there is something seriously strange going on with what they claim to be food

Delivery was sooner then expected just 15 minutes after their opening time I suspect it was food from the day before. Really is a let down on new year's eve. Restaurants really need to start taking people's health into consideration instead of money grabbing. Tempted to report them

the prawns in our prawn dish weren’t fresh, the were hard, like they’d been cooked earlier and then re cooked, as was our pork dish. everything else was ok

Ordered a meal last night, and it was really awful!!! The Thai red curry was just watery and far too sweet than I expected. It was like eating a desert than having a meal! Really sickly. The salt & pepper bean curd was beyond edible. It was just coated in salt and I couldnt even put it in my mouth without feeling sick. It should not be that salty, hardly any pepper or the bean curd was tasted, just over powered by salt. Lastly the Ho Fun with mixed veg was just bland. Absolutely no taste atall. Overall very disappointing and I definately wont be ordering again or recommend this takeaway. Appauling food. Sorry but I am being honest here.

Overall we waited 2 hours for this order. We rang the restaurant when it was 20 minutes over the delivery time and she said it would be there soon and apologised. We waited another 25 minutes and rang them again, she said he will be there any minute and he turned up as she said it and we hung up. The driver said he broke down and the restaurant should of told us, which no one did, and the food was hot so not like it was stuck in a car for ages.

order was placed at 6.30pm with delivery instructions, "flats at top of (my road) steps coming down, property is first to the left" I paid for the order and upon receipt of my order, the restaurant added a further 30 mins to delivery time. instead of it arriving at 19;10, i should expect it at 17.40. At 19.50 I called restaurant to check progress, they "said" it was on its way and would be with me in "10 mins" At 20.10 I called back the restaurant and was given some lame excuses that they are unable to locate the driver. I called the restaurant a further 7 times and was given many excuses. The driver can not find your flat. Driver eventually called me, said he was sorry, was in my road, but could not find property. I went outside (disabled) and gave instructions. He said he's sorry, he can not understand English or my instructions. The food was delivered by an English guy from the restaurant at 21.40 ( two and a half hours late) the chow mein was dried out, the satay chicken was black, the sweet and sour chicken balls were like rubber, the sharing box for two was stone cold and the ribs would have pulled out out your teeth. It all got thrown away. I have to add that this restaurant, and it's so called manager, offered NO gesture by way of an apology. My son and I were both told that I would be given a cash refund on delivery of food. The driver new nothing about this so called the "manager" again only to be told to "take it up with JUST EAT" Overall, a disgusting service, no care to it's customers, food not fit for human consumption and a complete waste of £27:00. Message to the restaurant, you have had two days to rectify your mistakes. Message to consumers, never pay in advance. Pay upon delivery and if you get fobbed off with lame excuses you can tell (whoever) not to bother and then you don't part with cash. This is what I am guilty of. Paying at time of order. NEVER AGAIN!! DISGUSTING SERVICE, DISGUSTING FOOD!!!

Nothing special with food. I orderd for egg fried rice, there’s barely any egg in it and same as well with the prawn friend rice. There’s two or three prawn in it. I am disappointed

Almost 90 mins between ordering and delivery. Just shocking and not worth it. Whether it's Just Eat or the restaurant's fault... just not good enough !!!!

Great food but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. When food was delayed by an extra 25 mins (bringing the total wait for the order to 90 mins), the guy who answered the phone rushed me hurriedly off the phone without anything in the way of an apology. The delivery driver when he finally arrived was also unapologetic when I told him we'd almost given up on waiting for him as we were starving, but at least he mustered a 'thank you' when I gave him his tip. Unfortunately, takeaways and restaurants that cook great food like this place does are going to see their loyal customer base dry up if they don't refine their customer service. I'll be giving another takeaway a go next time we fancy Chinese food, sorry Lotus House.

Had a lovely evening in noce surroundings. Menu was varied and plentiful, as was the portion size. Staff could have seemed a bit happier and friendlier, although wouldn't put us off from returning. Thanks Lotus Lounge, we won't leave it as long next time!
