The beauty & the beast themed afternoon tea was arranged here for my beautiful daughter & son in laws baby shower, We had private hire of the cabin I was really impressed when I walked in, It was such a lovely space which was so nice & cosy, The effort that the staff had gone to, to make it special was absolutely outstanding we couldn't have asked for more, On arrival staff were very accommodating, We had 6 children in our party the staff offered them a choice of what they would like in their sandwich which when you have children to please that was most welcome, The food was absolutely delicious, Very fresh & plenty of it. My 4 year old daughter especially loved the cake pops I think that I'll have to pop back sometime to pick some up from the takeaway counter for her as a treat. I would definitely go back again to the Sugar Boutique in the future & I 100% recommend this lovely little place, Thank you Sugar Boutique xXx

Words can never fully describe our experience. From start to finish absolutely amazing. My mother in law died in December 2022. We wanted the reception, after the cremation service, to be an afternoon tea. She always loved scones, jam and cream. The first venue we booked, for 16th January, cancelled our booking on Xmas Eve. The second was unable to help but reconmended The Sugar Boutique. What a find👍🙂👍🙂. We walked in and met Tasha. What a star. She is absolutely focussed on making sure your event is totally tailored to your every need. Sugar Boutique cater for all types of gathering for example childrens Harry Potter parties, big birthday afternoon teas, Hen gatherings, Wakes etc. We discussed the food and Tasha said that with the cup cakes she could add a topper with my mother in laws face taken from old photos. They were classic. We had bicuits with tributes in the icing and a pot dessert that my mother in law used to make for the grandchildren which Tasha replicated in mini teacups and glasses. The, now in their 40's grandchildren were delighted. We had a super selection of sweet and savoury foods along with tea, coffee and orange juice. We decided to toast her passing with a glass of Prosecco. We were able to hang family photos around the room and display various photo albums and memorabilia, for the family, to evoke memories. Tasha and her team were incredible. The room was beautifully prepared and the food display was very eye catching. Drinks were constantly topped up but Tasha was very discreet as she circulated. We are extremely grateful to the Sugar Boutique for ensuring that our families were able to send mum, grandma, mother in law ....off in such style. We could not have asked for more. If you want to be spoilt, feel special and want an afternoon tea to remember, (probably maximum of 25 guests) you will not find better than the Sugar Boutique.

The most amazing experience, apart from the various different themes to choose from the boutique itself is a quaint, beautiful place and perfect for couples, families or the girls. Our tea was delicious and so tasty.. such a huge amount of detail goes into each tea made.. it was amazing, we will definitely be back!

Have been here a few times now for different themed afternoon teas. The themes are always well thought out with great attention to details with a mix of sweet and savoury. Generous portions and you can take food you can’t eat home if you don’t finish it providing it’s not in a glass. Staff are always smiley, friendly and down to earth and love having such a great business in the local. Easy to reach from the train station too.

My daughters treated me to the Harry Potter High tea; it was delicious. From the cheese parcels ( Hogwarts acceptance letters) to the sorting hat cupcakes, everything was so thought out that it was amazing. Bottomless tea and pollyjuice potion They even played the Harry Potter theme tune as we took our seats. We would definitely recommend it. We are already planning a return visit for the greatest showman high tea

My friend and I are huge fans of Friends so were very excited to try the themed tea at Sugar Boutique. A £10 per person deposit is required when booking. The food is served in a cabin with about 5 tables, staff aren’t there all the time and there is a button by the door you have to press if you need anything. At one point we asked for a knife to be able to cut the mini pizzas but they only had one which we had to share. I thought a lot of effort and attention to detail went into the afternoon tea, as you’d expect there were a lot of Friends references. The savoury food was good especially the turkey sandwich and 5 sweet options each, the favourite was definitely Mama’s little bakery cheesecake. Overall the price was very reasonable too, I have been to another themed tea in London before which was almost double the price.

We had the most fabulous afternoon at the Sugar Boutique, we were looked after brilliantly and the cakes were unreal! Ever little detail had been thought of. We had the “Be Our Guest” high tea and we couldn’t fault it at all. Will absolutely be back soon!

If you are thinking of booking a themed afternoon tea here , I would think again. £27.00 for one ham roll, one soggy cheese pasty, one mini quiche and three small triangles of cheese spread with cucumber on pitta bread. Dessert one cupcake, a biscuit with a chocolate frog on top, two boot shaped biscuits sandwiched together with goo, treacle tart in a shot glass, a ferrero rocher choc and a horrid green drink. The ham roll had hot mustard which my sister can’t eat so we requested a replacement with no mustard and was summarily told no as ‘dietary requirements ‘ have to be notified in advance. It’s ham roll. Service with attitude and we were rushed ,tables cleared whilst still eating, you have to leave soon as time is up and all this in a glorified shack at the end of an alley. Can’t wait to go again.

Popping in to get some cakes for myself and the family with children. Don’t get me wrong, the cakes are nice however I would not be returning because of how rude the staff are (particularly I’m guessing the manager with long dark hair). Made me feel as if I am not welcome in the shop and I had interrupted her with whatever she was doing out back. Don’t open up a shop with walk ins if you cannot handle the customers that arrive! With service like this, I would rather pop down to the Simmons a few shops down to at least be greeted with a smile. Very disappointing

Abit disappointing. When booking I was given three time slots to choose from- I chose the morning slot. I then received a call 2 days before my booking stating my party was the only one to have booked at that time so they wanted me to move it as they did not want to pay the staff to work for just me. I booked the later time slot which I was told was 12:15. Arrived to be told the slot was actually 12:45 and to come back for then. I came back at 12:40 to be seated and found that every other party booked at that time had already been seated and had begun eating. The food was lovely and it all looked fantastic, it was just a shame that we had been there for 25 minutes before the savoury food was provided. I also did not expect to be sat on a table with other people I did not know- as this was not what I had experienced on previous visits- I’m assuming they squeezed us in to avoid having to do my original booking time. It’s a unique experience so I would recommend for that, but sadly I was abit disappointed this visit.

My partner treated me to the mean girls high tea for my birthday. Absolutely blown away by the creativity, taste and service at this place. High tea is served in a beautiful cabin. The savoury food was so nice and lots of sweet treats that you can take home if you can’t finish. There’s a bell to call staff but they were always around, we never needed to use it! Staff were so lovely and we even bought some cakes from the shop to take back. Can’t believe anyone would give this place 1 star! Definite 5 star experience for us!!!

My sister kindly organised 4 of us to have afternoon tea. The display was lovely but the food was pretty awful, no taste, really bland and it was £25 each which made it worse. I am just so confused how they got it all wrong. How could they made it that badly! Yeah I wouldn’t go again. Tbh I felt a little robbed that they took £100 from us and it was pretty disgusting all in all

My mum, sister and I visited the Sugar Boutique on the hottest day of the year so far for the Friends themed high tea. The cabin was all decked out with at least 4 different themed teas going on at the same time and they all looked wonderful. I loved all the extra Friends themed accessories that were on the table (a wooden lobster, a central perk coffee cup and various quotes from the show) A lot of thought had gone into putting the various items together and I would say the vast majority were on point. My favourite from the savoury selection was the mini pizza. I could’ve eaten two myself (like Joey) but the sushi would have worked better for me with a little dipping pot of soy sauce. The sweets were well crafted. Loved the ‘peas’ in the trifle shot! The cupcake though was probably the best cake I have ever eaten from a bakery! Sadly though, as I mentioned the extreme temperature earlier, we had to cut our tea short and take the sweet treats home to eat because it was hotter than hell in the cabin, in spite of numerous fans going and most of the windows open. We will definitely be back for another high tea (in November when the temperature is better!)

We booked the Friends afternoon tea, which on the whole was largely disappointing for the following reasons;1) no one explained the food, just dropped it down and walked off.2) no staff on hand to cater for us, had to ring a doorbell for anything we needed. 3) (and by far the biggest turn off)... plastic straws in everything!! Every cold drink came with a plastic straw, come on guys we’re in 2019 you can do better than this. Not worth £25 each, no customer service and distinctly average food. Not a lot to write home about!

After trying to book afternoon tea for some overseas work guests, via phone, email and in store. After getting through on the phone, I was hung up on. So tried emailing didn't get a response for over a week (by then I had popped in) and my questions were not answered, just told to ring. When I popped into the shop to ask I had a quick answer of no we are full then and then straight to the customer behind. I will not be attempting to book with this company any time in the future!

My friends and I chose the 'Down the rabbit hole' tea party as we liked the look of the food better than the other themes. On arrival our table was all set up and it did look amazing. However when our savory food arrived we were very disappointed. Our cheese and crackers were actually cheese scones, which contained cream, apple and chutney (strange taste & not to our liking) our 'chicken and bacon' sandwiches was just a processed chicken slice in bread (no bacon) and we only got half a sandwich each. The egg mayo carrot pastries were very dry, and unfortunately my first mouthful contained egg shell, which put me off straight away. However i can not fault the 'sweet' section. the cakes were amazing! The staff were very friendly and also can not be faulted. For what we got I don't feel it was worth anywhere near the £125 they made from us, I have other friends that have been before and highly recommend so maybe we just had a bad experience. As much as i loved the concept i highly doubt i would return. Wish they'd served what they advertised!

For a special birthday treat, six adults and two excited children went to Sugar Boutique for "high tea". The theme was Beauty and the Beast and we were definitely spoilt. The birthday girl had her own cupcake waiting for her on arrival and the table was set beautifully in line with the theme. Each person had a croissant, shared camembert and five sweet treats: a rose cake pop, cupcake, Cogsworth cookie, Lumiere layered dessert and cheesecake. They catered excellently for a Gluten Free guest and nothing was too much trouble. Tea, coffee, orange juice and water were all included in the price (£25 per adult) and there was a bell to press if more of anything was needed. Other themed teas that were also happening were Harry Potter and Friends, although their website suggests many more can be available. I'd highly recommend, especially if you want to spoil a special someone for their birthday!!

This was the worst afternoon tea I have ever had! It consisted of half ham roll(dry), small slice of quiche (bland), two Philadelphia and mint soldiers (yuk!!!) and a small cheese parcel (needed a chutney or something to go with) then there was a chocolate cupcake (dry and the buttercream was grainy and the model on it tasted of bicarbonate if soda! ) two shortbread biscuits (far too much fondant icing over both), a ferrero Roche’ chocolate and a tiny caramel dessert(this was nice) A sickly sweet fizzy drink. The earl grey tea Tasted cheap. This was all served in a porta cabin (decorated very nicely with uncomfortable chairs) behind the premises at a cost of £75 for the three of us. When we were asked if we enjoyed it I calmly said no. The woman in charge became defensive in a very aggressive way. I would not recommend this experience at all.

We enjoyed afternoon tea for a family birthday, we chose down the rabbit hole afternoon tea, the table was nicely laid, labelling could have been better as we didn’t realise which one was the lactose free and the kids one until we asked, but they catered for the dietry requirement well. We sat in the high tea cabin in the back which sits about 4 tables and has its own toilet facilities. Nice setting for afternoon tea.

I was given a gift voucher for Christmas to have the BATB tea on the 15th February 2019 at 14:30. I took my fiancè as we both love Disney and BATB (me more than him!!) we were greeted warmly to a beautifully decorated table. The sweet treats were already placed on the cake stand and the savoury treats were being prepared as we arrived so it was fresh. We were given tea and orange juice, the menu is great and it’s definitely filling! The Camembert was to die for along with bits to dip into. The sweet treats were also incredible and themed to the film. The soundtrack to the film was also playing in the background. After our tea we even had to buy some cupcakes for home because they were so lovely! Will definitely be returning, and would recommend to anybody!

We were greeted by a lovely lady who accomodated us with tea, coffee and the most amazing cupcakes I have ever tasted. The flavours were not your typical flavours and we couldn't decide what to have so we just ordered 1 of everything and took what we didn't eat home. We saw on the wall all the different themed high teas that they offer so we asked about booking. The lady couldn't have been more helpful and we have booked in for the beauty and the beast high tea in the new year. Myself and my fiancé and future mother-in-law went to Sugar Boutique yesterday as we had booked a Wedding Cake tasting and consultation. We had driven an hour and a half to get there to be told that the manager wasn’t in due to a family emergency and they had no idea that we had an appointment! They called her and she said she apologised. Obviously this wasn’t good enough - they called again. To tell me they had spoken with her mother and that she was now in hospital.. so the story had changed. We were highly disappointed. Our appointment wasn’t in the diary. No one else knew we were going. Nothing was prepared for us. And the other staff working told us they never would have delivered a cake that far to us anyway!! Horrendous experience! Totally mismanaged and unprofessional. All we were offered as an apology was a cupcake which we flatly refused!! Avoid at all costs!!

Earlier today I dropped my dog at the Groomer in Vanstone Parks Garden Centre, my car to the car wash guys then went into the cafe after a look around the garden centre. It was just after noon. I ordered an omelette with salad and crisps with a pot of tea. Paid for my order and sat outside with my plant pot which had my order number on. The waitress came out with a pot of tea, going well so far! When the waitress brought my order it was an omelette on a rather large plate! I asked where the salad was and was advised this it the breakfast menu, you don’t get anything with it then walked away. I thought I’d read the menu incorrectly until the lady who also sat outside was served an omelette with enough salad you could say it had its own garden! What a pity the service wasn’t a patch on it as when the previous owners/ managers ran the Orchard Cafe. The Groomer did a lovely job on my dog and the car valets made my car sparkle. Just been let down by the cafe’ won’t be going there again
