Sues Licenced Restaurant in East Lindsey

Avoid at all costs it is absolutely vile nearly 5£ for a baguette and you get nothing in it and it's not even cooked just go somewhere else don't even bother wasting your money or your time coming here

Put a great review on here a few years ago, but its gone down hill,went in for breakfast which was nice but as my partner went to sit the chair leg was so loose had he sat on it it would have broke, they was food and bits allover the floor and they had only been open 10mins,then to top it off not toilet seat,won't be going again.

went for breakfast as it was recommended and were not disappointed the portions were very good food was cooked nicely and staff were friendly prices very reasonable

Being on a low carb diet is was struggling for somewhere to eat, went to Trunch cafe. No. No. Menus dirty. So we went across the road to sues. Looking through the menu they do everything. I mean everything. But I had the cheese n ham salad being on low carb. Wow!. Impressive. Lots of ham. Enough cheese and lots of salad. Lovely staff. Lovely feel. Very happy. I will see you tomorrow morning. Thankyou!. X

Was really looking forward to a steak dinner tonight. Arrived at 8 pm only to be greeted with " we are closing cos quiet " There were alot of people eating. She turned 8 of us away..what a way to run a business August high season!! Wont be returning

Sues Restaurant has good service, good food. clean establishment and a decent wine menu all at very reasonable prices. Be careful not to visit too late as they do tend to close too early at 7 pm and as early as 4 pm in quiet periods which is not a lot of use when you have just arrived and been travelling. The staff has improved since last year as well.

Had lunch there with my wife. It started off quite well, however when my wife went up to ask for some ice the server behind the counter rolled her eyes, probably because she was on her phone and horror of horrors she actually had to stop to do something for a customer. The other staff however were polite. When the food arrived it was average, although we couldn't fault the size of the portions. Won't be returning however due to the one staff member who was put out and had to pause whatever she was doing on her phone to assist a customer... a little tip to this person.. This is actually what you are there to do.

We have been using this café for a time but its not what it used to be. Wont be going back unless we see a few better reviews

Service was brilliant and food was fantastic I'm very fussy when I have a steak but it was cooked to perfect I went back for breakfast again I rarely eat breakfast out as I'm fussy they went to every measure I asked of them and did it all with a welcoming approach and it was delicious will definitely use again.

Well cooked meals at reasonable prices. Gets very busy so sometimes a wait for a table but well worth the wait.

We came here as we have heard great reviews so thought we would give it a try. Food was lovely reasonable priced quite big portions with a variety of specials. The problem was the staff, the young mouthy girl who mimics a foreign accent is absolutely terrible lack of concentration, huffs and puffs when asked something extremely loud and put me and my partner off our meal. High pitched cackling and the mimicking through the meal was unacceptable. This member of staff would be more suitable in a children's play area for the way she acts. The owner needs to re consider his staffing as some one this immature should not be dealing with the public. Julie however is lovely very helpfull and friendly and made us feel welcome nothing was too much to ask. I would eat here again as the food was brilliant hats off to the chef. Hopefully next time there will be better more mature staff that can do the job properly instead of leaning on a counter texting on there phone.

We have been using sues for nearly 20 years and today we had the worst breakfast we had ever eaten. The sausage was vile, the cheapest sausage We have ever eaten. (God only knows what was in it) The mushrooms were vile and the bacon was dried up and tasted 'bleachy' maybe sat in a Bain Marie that hadn't been washed out properly? I know it's just changed hands and you can't half tell.. scrimping on cheap items doesn't pay off!! We won't be using Sues again.. our 20 year relationship has well and truly ended!!

Sues Restaurant changed hands at the start of this year and its been seamless. The food is good and served reasonably promptly. Staff are very helpful and very efficient serving piping hot food at more than reasonable prices. A particular mention to Julie who seems to take particular care of the elderly and family's and always has a smile and a quick chat if time allows. This place is busy but the food is well worth it! Food is served all day with a variety of offers. from breakfast through lunch and dinner.

I tried to get into this place twice this week and we were told that it would be a 15-20 minute wait to get a table. This place is always busy but is is very small and the staff seem to rush you out so that the next sitting can take place. Might be best to book a table rather than just turning up.

Was good home cooked food - very busy and get quite warm in there. Dont sit at table next to toilet though.

A lovely meal had by all (2 adults + 2 kids) and at a great price. The staff helped make it a really enjoyable visit as they were friendly, attentive and had amazing memories to memorise all those specials!

We went to this Restaurant one morning for breakfast. There was a sign at the counter that said wait to be served so we waited, and waited, and waited. There was a group of 7 of us. The restaurant was not full there were plenty of places for us to be seated but the staff just totally ignored us. There were waiting staff and staff behind the counter, not one of them acknowledged us at all. We waited nearly 30 minutes and eventually just walked out. I was so shocked that they would just disregard customers in this way they must be making that much money there that they don't need people I guess. RUDE, IGNORANT and would never go there again.

Great menu lots if choice breakfasts are amazing and you can feed a family for lessthan£20 which is a great treat our

Never had a bad meal here, been using this place for 10 years or so. Fresh veg, fresh salads and yummy fry ups! The staff are always attentive and polite!!

From the outside you may not walk in. But, if you are looking for a great meal at an affordable price for the family, then be sure to give this place a try. We always call in for a breakfast when we are in the area, and have never yet had a bad meal. Cash only sales though, a sign says the debit card machine is broken, but this has been this way for quite a long time now, so beware to have sufficient cash on you before you order and eat your meal ! At the time of writing this review the site has a 5/5 rating from the Food Standards Agency.

Called in sues this morning for breakfast and it was lovely I had a small one egg,beans,sausage,bacon toast ,hubby had 2eggs,2,bacon,2sausages, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast 2 coffees £8.40 altogether, can't go wrong not worth making it yourself for that price.Staff were lovely and friendly and Resturant was spotless.

we had lunch and tea here and the food was amazing the setting isn't all that as its located in a lean too on the side of a pub but don't let that put you off, the staff cant do enough for you and the restaurant is very clean

Went here 3 times in a week,prices are great meals are lovely always get a decent amount to eat,staff helpful and polite.

We visited here for a breakfast, and like all previous occasions, always happy and polite, we always visit here when we come to chapel st Leonard's and always will

Sues friendly & quick service staff are brilliant to match the good quality food served here, Breakfast is perfect from beans on toast to Full breakfast which includes everything you can think of! Sunday Lunch is also very nice here just like home cooked. It is quite a small space with tables of four set upwhich is fine when there is six & its not too busy you can get tables close together however in busy times this may be more difficult. This is definately not one too miss if you are a cooked breakfast fan.

Ate here for first time about 3 years ago and the food was horrible.After reading reviews on here tried it again about 2 weeks ago and was just the same chicken so hard and dry it would`nt come off the bone and was like chewing sawdust, half cooked chips best part of meal was the salad. Nice staff and service was efficient about the only good thing i can say

Very pleasant staff, meal are good value for money if i had to make one criticism it would have to be the position of the toilets.

Very quick and efficient service, visited regular when we are in Chapel St Leonards, Good food,very reasonable on prices and caters for all ages. Always made welcome.

We eat here everytime we are at van,food great,hot and quick and great value for money,we had breakfast,evening meal and sun lunch-very good and staff so helpful and friendly.

Love this place we go every time were in chapel.food always fresh and hot and also great value for money.staff are always friendly and helpfull.

Ok I'm going to be honest this place isnt the best looking restaurant I've been too but it makes up for it in all the other ways, lovely steak cooked to perfection, welcoming staff, who knew the menu inside out, nothing was too much trouble, fantastic customer service, if I owned a resturant and my staff were as nice as they were I would be proud, good value for money and quality produce :)

The food was value for money, for a greasy café. Our cups and saucers still bore the marks from previous customers, very off putting. The whole place looked in need of a makeover from a cleaning and decorating company, this does not have to cost the earth. Maybe because the end of the season, the whole place looked unloved, warning the toilet door has no lock! The staff even looked most unhappy, will try this place again next season, just to check if they take customer comments to heart.

Food was ok but service was terrible.Waited 30 min before our order was taken. When the food arrived we asked for sauces which never arrived. Chips were not cooked enough. The only thing they did right was the steak.would have ordered a dessert but did not want to wait again. One customer even sang "why are we waiting" while we were eating

Having visited this restaurant an a few occasions its about time I passed commment, good food, welcoming staff with a decent amount of customers, this is a very reasonably priced restaurant with a varied menu and quick service, the clientele are mainly from the large holiday centre surrounding the establishment so it has a real holiday feel about it. Sue, when in the Restaurant, is a lively person with a great personality and nothing is too much trouble for her and the staff which she has trained well.
