Well .... After reading through all the reviews for the Shrewsbury town centre branch of Subway, I'm totally disgusted by what I've been reading about the attitude of the staff to most customers and the way they serve the food, sometimes (or is it every time?) with dirty or contaminated gloves!! I've decided not to bother to even walk into the shop. I was was going to pay for a substantial order! I wonder how many more have walked out or straight past? I think someone higher up in the chain needs to go in and sort things out. It can't be making a profit with the rude attitude of the staff! I won't even bother to go there now.

I went into this branch today, order the big breakwich and requested for no egg, they told me that they would have to charge me to take the egg off? this has never been an issue before and then they proceeded to put the egg on anyway underneath everything else so it melted into the entire sandwich, they also put extra egg on the sandwich

One of the worst service I ever experienced since I became a subway customer in the year 2005. The lady who was at the counter today @ 2:10pm was not at all professional. She was not bothered to provide a good service. Also she refused to add the sauce which I requested for my foot long BMT. I felt she is stubborn, rude and discriminating. I prefer going to Meole Brace(love their service) or Battlefield to get my Sub. Never to this outlet again

Decided to call in to grab lunch on the go. Member of staff seemed very inconvenienced by me. Also kept coughing, again no glove change despite this. Over £10 for two subs. Absolutely not worth it. Should have gone to tesco for a meal deal.

Staff were incredibly rude. When I queried something, they made no attempt to resolve a simple situation and just made the whole atmosphere feel so tense. They massively affected the day of myself and those who accompanied me. I would not recommend for the lack of staff friendliness and unease that was provided. The staff obviously don’t want you in there as they throw your sandwich together as quickly as they possible can (which leads to it being a broken up mess) and I think a certain member of staffs attitude has rubbed off on the rest.not great at all. And hasn’t been for a few years now. In the past I have heard oh for f@&k sake said from the back room as I have walked into the store and a member of staff has walked out with a face on them as if you are an inconvenience. Also heard other members of staff have attitude with other customers.

Very poor service at 1200 at subway in shrewsbury Town centre today. Initially I was the only customer in the shop. A girl was stood at the till and totally ignored me! After approx 1 min she asked what I'd like, she appeared very flustered and was short and sharp with her comments and very un welcoming. She threw a sandwich together with no apparent care and then rudely said "can you pay". I told her she appeared stressed and she replied that she had a huge order to fill. At all times I felt that I was not wanted in the place and my custom was a huge inconvenience. I could see the full extent of her lack of care when I later unwrapped my sandwich, there was more filling outside of the bread than in it. I feel for the girl if she was on her own and under pressure, however, this is not my fault. Very dissapionting experience, i would not recommend this branch of Subway.

I waited in the queue and the lady behind the counter was so abrupt saying I was too close to the next customer when I was standing in my inner circle and because I wear hearing aids and can't hear well and asked her to repeat her sentence one she got frustrated with me! Then when I asked for sugar free cola she gave me full sugar pepsi and the food was vile with frozen hashbrowns in the sub and the meatballs were disgusting! Never again will I buy from this subway I received much better service in the wrexham subway where the staff are always so kind with real meat and properly cooked food!!!!

Why is there no option for 0 stars!!I have the following condition:Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from childhood Trauma These have a substantial impact on my life and so I have the protected characteristic of disability as defined in Section 6 of the Equality Act 2010.My condition means I am unable to wear a face covering.I visited your store on the 29th of April at roughly 3:15 in the afternoon seeking something to eat. As a breastfeeding mum of a newborn I get so hungry and also being vegan struggled to find anywhere which catered to my dietary needs.. I was then so thankful to stumble across your Subway store I know that Subway has just brought out a whole new vegan range.Upon entering your store I was not greeted, but asked very abruptly where my face covering was by staff members Thelma and Amy. I explained that I have a medical exemption and therefore am exempt from wearing a mask. Thelma and Amy then told me I needed to show them my exemption card. I explained that I don’t carry an exemption card with me nor have I ever been asked to show one before, as most establishments are aware that this is the consumers choice to carry or show an exemption card and is not law, as stated on the UK Gov website (see attached link)https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-ownYour attention is drawn to the press release of 24 July 2020 from the Government which references more detailed Guidance you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with:After explaining this to both Thelma and Amy I was still refused service. This was done in front of several other customers. At that point my newborn son, who I had been holding most of the time, started screaming, as I am sure he could sense my distress at the way your staff spoke towards me and violated my consumer and human rights. I then walked out of the building humiliated and embarrassed and crying, on to a busy street with many pedestrians. As I was carrying my 5 week old distressed baby I then swore stating this is f**king ridiculous. After my break down and speaking to my family, who were horrified at the blatant discrimination against me, I decided to go back to your store. I greeted the staff friendly and apologised. (as you can hear in my recording of the interaction, it’s also against my nature to swear). I further asked for the staff members names and the address of the store which was provided while still trying to argue their point. I explained that it is discrimination to not have served me and that they were violating my human rights. They continued to treat me very rudely and when I said I will be talking to the manager and owner they said that they won’t care about the incident as its law to wear a face covering (this again is not true as you can see in the link I attached above).I then explained my exemption to Amy and Thelma as I wanted to shed some light on why some people are exempt and how triggering and humiliating it can be to be asked to show or even talk about your exemption. So that hopefully your staff might have some compassion and empathy when next dealing with a customer with an exemption in the future so that future customers of yours do not have to go through what your staff put me through during our encounter. After leaving your store and crying the whole back to my car, my parents outraged and on the other side of the world decided to call you (and again this was recorded). You dismissed there concerns and outrage and implied that i had somehow threatened your staff members (which is untrue especially in light of me carrying a newborn).This experience has hugely impacted my mental and physical health as I now am too scared and anxious to enter another store in case I am discriminated and humiliated against again.

I ordered delivery from this Subway today. The sandwich was perfect but the nachos I ordered were a massive disappointment and really wish I hadn’t paid £2.59 for them. They were supposed to have cheese and salsa on them, but only about 4 chips had barely anything on them. The rest of the box was just plain tortilla chips. They also gave me out of date orange juice which is appalling. I am pregnant so I can’t even risk drinking it.

Initially things were looking great, with our food delivery arriving slightly before its estimated time. Although the fact that a dirty face mask was delivered alongside it wasn't so great! After unpacking the order we discovered that part of the order (12 x Cookies) was missing. Called the restaurant around 19:05 to explain, and was told remaining order would be sent with delivery person. By 19:50 cookies still hadnt arrived, so called again. This time I was assured Cookies had just left with delivery driver. However, they never arrived here! What happened to them? Who knows? Could the delivery driver have eaten them? Or maybe aliens abducted them? Two stars given because the parts of the order we received were lovely. The Tiger bread was great.

My partner came in today to pick up some lunch for us both and the older lady who served him was vile, got the order wrong and charged him for items he didn’t even get. Asked for the vegan option and nearly gave him meat, was called out by this by another member of staff the mistake and continued to be vile towards my partner as if it was his fault for her mistake. Worst subway we’ve ever been in... toilet looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in months as tissue everywhere and water splashed up mirror also smelt like weed and wee all on toilet seat. In the seating area there was food all over the floor and tables hadn’t been cleaned through the time we were there. Workers were disgraceful hygiene standards were very low and staff slow working. A worker had gum and picked it out of mouth to put in the bin and didn’t wash hands after then continued serving food, some staff were even on their phones in the kitchen chatting away when they could of been cleaning the tables and floors which were disgusting. It’s not as if there were loads of tables to keep clean, there is only 4 and they were all smeared with food and rubbish! Yuk!

I have visited both Shrewsbury stores and at both locations have been served by the same young girl (I cannot recall seeing a name badge but she was blonde and had a Scottish accent). During both visits she has very loudly exclaimed to the whole restaurant that she "can't be bothered today" and has "no motivation at all". Very unprofessional! On the second occasion there was an elderly couple in front of me and I overheard them say it was their first ever visit to Subway, so they weren't sure how the system worked. Instead of being helpful this young girl was very condescending towards the couple, no eye contact, repeating everything they said in a patronising manner, sighing with frustration. I even caught her looking at her colleague and rolling her eyes! Prior to serving myself and my partner she snapped at us saying she wasn't ready yet and gave us a dirty look - we were only reading the board! The food was nice but the service ruined it. I won't be visiting either sites again as the atmosphere is just completely unfriendly, and customers are made to feel like a burden.

Not much in the way of seating indoor but there are plenty of benches nearby outside. Typical Subway prices and menu, the small space can get busy at lunch times.

One staff member was pretty rude, more interested in talking to others than serving. Younger girl seemed more friendly but the foods as expected. Seating is rubbish and seeing them take the trash out through the front door while your eating isn't great.

Three times I've been in this branch now and the staff especially the old female member of crew comes across has rude and not helpful and told my kid off for having a large cup drink when no small cups were available and when asked for my till receipt she put it in the bin and said she had already given it to me. This franchise really needs to look at customer service and didn't want all of us sitting on the only 4 seats in there.
