Subway in Sefton

Lovely little place to stop for a sandwich. Very clean inside and I thought Jess provided a great service, very attentive to what I wanted and she provided a speedy service. Will definitely be going back. It's come on leaps and bounds since it re opened. 5 stars.

Visited Sunday lunch. wasnt busy so getting a table wasnt an issue. Food and drinks were ok. Pity the toilet was out of action though. Girls behind counter could do with some customer service skills training as they have none

Usually love a subway but not today. Visited ocean plaza subway, no hearty Italian bread, ok so went for the Italian. Rock hard , tasted stale, when I questioned if there was 2 pieces of ham on a 6inch sub I was told there was , once home, discovered there was only 1 piece. Once my food was wrapped both sandwiches were hanging out the rapper resulting in sauce everywhere, nothing to hold the paper together, there is usually a sticker holding it, not today. 2 staff on and both looked as though they didn’t want to be there. Better staff training and customer service needs to be done in this shop.

Having visited this subway every week for the past 2 years We were very disappointed with it recently. Toilets have been out of order for the last 2 weeks. Poor choice of cookies and not many available. Limited amount of salad and doesn't appear fresh. Limited amount of fizzy drinks for past 2 weeks Some bread uncooked in the middle. Used to be one of the best in the area.

One server! Poor girl, having to do everything on her own. Consequently the service was abysmal and my sub was cold by the time the other two had been made. Bits all over the tables and floors and the WC was roped off. When will Subways get it together efficiently and I mean all Subways, not just this one?

Sat in subway now as grandsons wanted to come for a change. Will be the first and last time!! Service appalling, Waited 20 minutes to be served to then be told they had no egg to make tuna Niçoise salad and no tomatoes at all. Had a packet of crisps for my lunch. Never again

We often pick Subway for unch when we're out for the day and we were pleased with this one. The food is very much the same wherever you go and this one was good. There were only two people working there when we visitied and they were very busy. They were working quicky to keep up and yet were still managing to be friendly and helpful.

Subway is Subway, the quality is rarely bad and always good for a quick stop. This particular subway impressed me as the staff clearly worked well as a team and served 8 of us very quickly, the food was good with slightly larger than usual fillings which is always a treat.

Staff just were not interested. Got the types of bread for the sandwiches wrong. Didn't explain the differences between the lunch menu or the ordinary menu. Just a shrug of the shoulders. My partner spilt cola on the table and asked for a cloth but was told that they would deal with it.They never. I'd avoid this place like the proverbial.

Went here the other day with my Mum. Great value cookies and a beautiful Chicken Nacho Salsa sub! In addition, the staff were very professional and friendly with a wide choice of soft drinks :) Great job guys 5*!!

Amazed at some of the bad reviews on here. I visit here twice a week after swimming a Long with 3 or 4 friends. We have never had a problem. The staff are lovely and make us very welcome. They tell us of any special offers too. I have also noticed how diplomatic they are with rude customers. Fast service even at busy times. Could do with more tables but no more room for them. Very clean hygienic shop.5 star rating.

I took my Granson in the mornings to Subway. He loves choosing his own sub You can have a treat as well Price good as well

I don't normally say the way I feel .but yesterday I was in subway on the ocean plaza.the service in there is very slow. I got a pot of chicken with my meal cost£1.50 I only pay £1 in other subways. I had to ask for a carrier bag .For all my stuff .I got no receipt.then to tip it off I asked for 3 cookies.when I came to eat them there was only 2 .I shall not be going back to that subway

I called in for a late morning snack. It all looked so bland . Processed and just somehow not that great. Having made a selection ham +cheese salad. I was asked if I wanted it toasted ? Really. I mentioned that toasted salad is not a great idea. To which the reply was don't have the salad. Durr. Why bother . I don't think I will again. Apparently she used to work in a deli. I can imagine it wasn't for long.

Visited today and saw a great offer on a foot long marinara great . Spoke to server and asked for two of the special for 3 pound .. the server offered extra cheese for 60p I said yes ok.. there is a But on looking at the bill the 3 offer was charged at 4 pound70p .. I went back to say I’ve been overcharged.. to be told on till oh so you have but other server came back and was told as you have extra cheese the offer is not valid..I said nothing was said I had asked for offer and would have expected to be told I could not have cheese and the offer.But No the server said you should have read the conditions.. not in a polite or apologetic or helpful way.. I said I felt I had been ripped off to be told not to raise my voice and when my husband went in to find the name of the person he was also rebuffed felt very unwelcome...so be warned extra cheese if offered for 60p costs you 1.70 each and of course no one will help you by advising you it’s up to YOU AS YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE CONDIITONS...reported to sub way it’s not the money it’s the attitudes

From the moment I entered the shop I felt welcome after being warmly welcomed by the young lady behind the counter. The place was very clean and the food was really tasty I come in here often and it has improved endlessly since new management has taken over I will now recommend it to all my friends

Never had any issues with this Subway, unlike some other reviewers.

Yesterday (1st of September) My friends and I went out to Southport and decided that for lunch we would go to Subway. We came in and got in the queue, I looked at the menu and decided I wanted a Chicken Cesar Sub so I asked the man serving me and he replied saying something about not having one of the ingredients, I couldn't tell exactly what he said as his accent wasn't the clearest, so I ordered something else and the man told me "You have to take out, you can't eat inside." Which I was slightly puzzled by.

Called in to buy a sub today, served by an assistant wearing the regulation plastic gloves. She continued to wear said gloves preparing my sub, opening the fridge for a bottle of Pepsi, operating the till and taking my money.

A good little lunch spot. Fresh food to order not far from anywhere always tasty with a clean place to sit

Popped in for a sandwich at 2 pm. 1st June 2017. Asked for the tuna special on the window. Girl asked what else so I asked for a beef something and steak something else. Not sure what the difference is. From here it was all down hill. The girl was more bothered about what the other (non serving) staff member had bought from TK max. I could never understand a word she said and my responses of "pardon" were responded to in the same volume and disregard. I could not tell a word she said. my responses from "pardon"were "as it comes "During my order 2 groups in the queue walked out. No eye contact. Salad? Pardon ? Yes as it comes resulted in everything being placed on the sandwiches. No eye contact. Still more bothered what the other staff member had bought from TK MAX. We were in the shop for nearly 20 minutes before paying. SANDWICHES WEre AVERAGE AT BEST. Little flavour to them. As we sat outside another couple left empty handed saying "awful customer service". We didn't get the special but something else. Neither did I get the orange fizzy drink I asked for but lemonade. I shall never visit again. This was the branch near the big wheel and retail park. I hope I am reporting on the correct one. The staff showed no interest in the job whatsoever. Only positive is we did feel full after the tasteless sandwiches. I would ask what motivation the staff have, how -are they monitored and do they really enjoy and want the job.

Went here today to buy the new beef with burnt edges sandwich , which has been advertised all over the TV and billboards was really looking forward to it, when I asked for it the woman said sorry we don't have any meat left. I was totally gutted the woman never even apologized. Very dissatisfied never go here again

We visit this subway after swimming round the corner. The staff are always friendly and helpful although sometimes under staffed. For £3 we usually have a sandwich and drink

I went in about 6:30pm it looked that it was closed the lights were off and the girl was mopping , on the website it says 8pm it closes most of the food was missing , I couldn't order what I wanted so I order something different. The sandwich was full of sauce to the point where I couldn't eat it as the whole bun was wet , the staff was friendly but if you are closing earlier that it says on the website you should change it so that customers are aware.

Although the meat is good on the subway sandwich I don't like the price £3 she,mall sandwich and a drink

Good service although they quite often run out of water and occasionally coffee. Good meal deal for £3. Certain sandwiches and drink.

I'm a Subway aficionado hence the very good but not (yet) excellent. It's a wee bit on the small side but the grub is up to standard.

Handy but out of the way shop. Staff always helpful. Food good. Enjoy the special offers. Handy when Southports events on like the air show. Coffee sandwich and watch the show.

My husband two grandson's and I called in on Tuesday after visiting the the fairground, grandsons both wanted turkey breast and ham on different breads ,most of the bread they chose wasn't available plus they had no ham,so they both just had to have turkey ,my self and husband wanted 2 Italian bmt's but as there was no ham we had turkey all the turkey was very dry,and tasteless,had 1 latte coffee had to return it as it was only half a cup,we will give this subway a miss in future.

At 10:45 the breakfast menu and prices had been removed, but the employee reluctantly served me a breakfast sandwich from the limited items she had left. One piece of bacon and a small omelette should have constituted the bacon and egg sandwich, but at the till I was charged £2.80 for that and half a cup of coffee. When I questioned the price, she blamed the franchise system and said that prices were different at different outlets. I sometimes go to the one in Eland Road in Leeds and I get 2 sometimes 3 pieces of bacon and service with a smile for £2.30. How can the service, products and prices be so different under the same branding? Poor Southport, especially when you have so much competition in the area.

This subway is exactly what you expect from a subway. There are shops nearby and Vue cinema across the road, but I'd recommend that you walk a little further to see what the pier has to offer.
