Drive thru seems to get the priority here which I understand but I waited over 30 mins for my food and had to go ask at the till (which there is never anybody at and the staff in the back just stare at you hoping you'll go away probably) when I did get my food it was freezing cold and had clearly just been sitting out. The managers here don't see to exist as there's just no order to things when it gers even slightly busy. I'd recommend staying away as I've never had an order given to my quickly here and that sort of defeats the fast food idea. I did get a replacement for my cold.order which was also cold...

Can’t read and deliver a simple order. Never include the sauce that you put on the order either.

This McDonald’s is located on a very busy road with hundreds of Hgvs traveling past day and night. I called in after midnight being a lorry driver for a quick bite to eat and was told I had to use the drive through. Definitely wasn’t going to happen in a 44ton articulated lorry. At least let us use the uber entrance to place an order.

Non franchised are more expensive.

Food was hot and everything was right

Food was very very slow. It wasn't even that busy. The people in front waited over 20 mins tmfor two coffee and our meal was over 15mintues wait.

A bit hit and miss...sometimes it is spot on and other times they prioritise drive ins and you are left waiting for ages and the food is cold

Horrendous! Cold food covered in grease, items missing and bad attitude from staff! To top it off on our order we had two apple pies which as everyone expects to be molten but not only were they stone cold they were almost 2hours past the expiry time and the box was wet with grease! The manageress was extremely rude to my husband too. Wouldn't go back

I'd give zero if possible. You lot aren't the brightest bunch working there are you. Asked for 3 dips didn't receive any of them. Asked for no pickles on the burger and its like you put extra on. In future why don't you just decide what am eating and send me whatever. Idiots.

Waited at the two lane drive thru for 2 minutes and was not served. Another car then turned up and went into the other drive thru lane and promptly got served. Drove away without ordering. What's the point in having two drive thru lanes if you are going to ignore one?! Not the first time this has happened, and puts me off going. Went and got a KFC instead, which was far more enjoyable. Will be a while before I bother with McDonald's again.

How is it that every time I come here and go to the drive through every single order gets parked up. Does anyone that works here actually know how to run the place efficiently?

Long wait times if ordering food inside. FRIES are always bad... like 9/10 times fries are either uncooked or pale... or they give you lots of bad one... (green fries etc). This is a shame because the fries are an iconic item. They need to learn how to make fries properly before charging people.

Food was cold when arrived via uber and mcdonalds basically put the issue with uber and left me to contact them

Just been through the drive thru got parked up for about 10 minutes. Big mac had onions on which I didn't want, went back in and they gave me another , checked it, looked fine. Once in the car i checked it properly it was still the same big mac but with an extra cheese slice on (the nerve) Took that back, the poor girl was modified. Gave me another, gets in the car and the bottom burger was still the same with the same onions on. I gave up, Honestly switch island maccies is the worst i never learn, reckon its about 10 nil to them. We can all live people getting things wrong but Jesus tonight this maccies is something else.

Would give 5 stars for slow food resteraunt Park up, wait 30 minutes, go instore told order overlooked, apologies, return to car, wait 10 minutes, receive cold food warm soft drinks. Used to this from franchises, but this is the best bad McDonald's ever.

Food isn't prepared to standard anymore, hardly get any sauce on burgers, recently bought the hat trick burger an it was just 3 patties and 1 cheese slice, so dry, whenever ya do a mcdelivery theres always items missing, and when ya go to the restaurant ya waiting forever for your food and then having to go back up because something is wrong, get some proper staff instead of hiring kids who can't be bothered.

The worst McDonald's around, pointless asking for ice cream or milkshakes because the machine is always broken, if you go through the drive through you'll be parked up and served cold food which won't be what you ordered. Run by idiots.

I was ordering online and i ordered a chocolate milkshake and medium fries with barbeque sauce. And when it got delivered the chocolate milkshake was actually chocolate milk in a box type thing and my barbeque sauce didnt come. I wanted my normal chocolate milkshake but no i got chocolate milk wven when it said chocolate milkshake on the website.

If you crave disappointment then try the drive through at this place . You will invariably be parked up, followed by a lengthy wait for your order. When it finally arrives it will probably be wrong or there will be something missing, it will also be cold. The worst McDonalds I’ve been to.

My order, a quarter pound cheese meal with a bottle of water was taken quickly, payment was taken very quickly. My bottle of water was delivered quickly. I waited over 5 minutes for my burger and fries. You need to familiarize yourselves with the meaning of " fast food ". Priority is given to orders for delivery. If I take the time to actually go to your business, I think that I should have priority. But the customers who dine in, they should be your number one priority 🤔 🙄

Only went in for coffee and ice cream. Waited absolutely ages, at least 20 minutes. Asked a staff member where my order was and he then went and made the coffee and told me the ice cream machine was broken. Ended up leaving with the coffee and no time for a replacement as was in a hurry.

I ordered McDonald's on a home delivery I never complain ever! The last few orders has been so bad we keep asking for a refund. We ordered maybe about £40 we have been waiting an hour because our ticket has been lost, didn't send my cheese bites and the fries was half empty and COLD and on the chicken burger had lettuce when ididn't want lettuce it was stuck to it where I had to scrape it off just enough where I can eat it and even while eating it, it was cold and dry. This McDonald's is terrible.

Ordered a Diet Coke , and a biscoff frappe they asked us to park up, people who pulled up after us who ordered food was getting served before us we had waited 15 minutes then asked someone where it was then waited another 10. Then finally drinks came frappe was just full of ice and not blended properly

The eating side was quite busy and drive through had a pretty steady flow of cars ,but a lot of customers had waited between 25-35 mins for food to arrive ,our food took 25 mins to arrive and chips were cold ,burgers warm and chicken nuggets luke warm but at this point my daughter just wanted te eat .The location itself is quite busy, but they spend too much time prioritising the drive-through and food delivery orders ,The two people looking after the shop floor where run off their feet and couldn't have done more .The staff on the (ONE till they have) were being abused by some customers because of the wait for food and incorrect orders after a long wait.they definitely needed more staff and for there to be equal priority on both sides for food orders .

Slow,slow,slow...Been parked long time to collect what I ordered on Drive Thru

Waiting 40 mins for 2 meals, would have left if never paid by card on the machine.

Waited over half an hour parked up on my lunch break. Waiting for a chicken select meal an a big mac. Shocking service. No communication no nothing. Fast food at its worst.

It was a bit busy, the food was ok and the staff working hard.

Maghull macdonalds is prob the worse 1 9/10 they get orders wrong and alot of the time it isn't fresh if you want a macdonalds aintree is better.

I ate in and the fries were already going cold despite the fact they were fresh. My initial excitement about the milkshake machine working was dulled by the fact it wasn't thick. Have they changed the recipe? It was more like a standard milkshake you can make at home, with about a tablespoon of it being thick at the bottom.

Pretty spectacularly managed to get nearly everything wrong. Items of food were missing, the food was cold, the drinks didn't have ice so were getting warm, they didn't even manage to give a straw with the drinks. By far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to.

Ordered 3 bacon rolls and 2 lattes. Received 2 cold bacon rolls and 2 luke warm lattes. When questioned why they were cold and not the amount I ordered the young lad deliving to the cars that had to park up said, oh well... when asked why we had to wait 20 min for our order the reply was " we had to wait for the eggs" unless I'm mistaken, what the he'll has eggs got to do with bacon rolls. Piss poor performance... Will never set foot in this dive again. -20/10

I went here on Friday 10th May with my mum and my youngest brother because I wanted to buy them a meal. She had the burger and fries, and my brother had the nugget happy meal. We had the table service, and we were, I kid you not, the only people in there...and still somehow they managed to make us wait nearly 20 minutes for food, and when they brought it out, her hot chocolate was ice cold, and so was all of the food. It was 12pm, and I expected it to be busier, but it wasn't as it was a school day. The staff were just standing around talking, and some woman was showing a voice message to every other staff and loudly swearing, and then they started taking selfies in the middle of the Maccies. Mind you, my youngest brother is autistic and he was getting quite ansy (and he's also three years old) waiting for the food, so he was getting loud. They could all see us waiting, and yet they still were just stood around talking. My mum said that she could tell her food had been out for a while, it was completely cold. I only got the cucumber bag and fanta zero, as I wasn't too hungry and it was more for them to enjoy, so I don't have any complaints on my part, but I was just supremely disappointed in the service from the staff and the food as a whole; I wanted to get something nice for my family, and it turned out to be a huge waste of money and time. When we'd finished, the woman who was swearing her head off and loudly playing audio messages and taking selfies (good god, just fire her at this point), snatched my tray out of my hand as I was walking over to the bin and said that she would do it. First of all, I'm not incompetent. I can put a few things in a bin and put a tray on the side. I manage to do it all the time in my own house. Second of all, she was just rude. Her tone when she spoke to me was just disrespectful, and earlier to my mum when she asked how long the food would be as we were waiting a while. I can't believe people like that work there.

I've been waiting for my order way too long time

Worst McDonalds I’ve ever been to, was waiting 25 minutes for a cold burger and a wrap?? And staff were so dismissive and only bothered with the drive thru, and when you have multiple customers waiting inside it’s just plain rude to ignore us. Only redeeming factor was the tall bald man who was on the floor, lovely bloke.

Waited 10 minutes after ordering from the drive thru, had to go inside and ask for order which had just been put in a bag. Got to the car, check the order and an item was missing, had to go back and ask for missing item, then when I got home the burger was wrong, and the chips were freezing. Do I need the check every single item when I order? Try to complain using code on the recipe but the ink is running out and code is not fully viable. After a stressful morning and wanting to treat my daughter it turned into a waste of time and money

Good service but food is never truly warm

Ordered on the app food and ice cream and we pulled up and had to wait which was alright until 20 MINUTES LATER we was still waiting so a family member had went in and said “look we was waiting 20 minutes and we still are where is our food?” And the guy said “oh well we’re now out of ice cream and so you was waiting on fries” and my family member said “this is a fast food establishment and we’ve been waiting more than we would at a restaurant” and the guy said “look this is no longer a fast food establishment” and the my family member said “let me speak to who ever is in charge” and the guy said “look you didn’t wait for over half a hour so you won’t get anything” After we got out food we went home and the food is Disgraceful food is completely frozen and has no flavour whatsoever this is completely DISGUSTING I shall not be removing this review

OK it was busy but the wait for food inside the restaurant was very long, we think the concentration was on serving drive through customers first. When the order finally arrived the chips were cold and one burger wasn't what the wrapper said it was and one was missing. Really poor service.

Feel like I've been robbed of good money for two big mac meals that arrived cold to embraced to complain the restraunt was dirty staff poor except for one young boy would not recommend going or wasting your money.

Was so busy the waiting time wasn't good. I saw our food sitting there going cold. Staff busy with drive through. One person by me asked for a refund due to the waiting time. Maybe it was just a busy Friday evening. Food ok just not very warm by time we got it. Staff so busy didn't like to make their job harder by saying anything. Not sure if short staffed but was a bit stressful watching them deal with complaining customers. The staff were very good very polite and apologetic. Well done guys.

I’m not a big eater of this putrid stuff but the one time I called in to grab something after a 12 hour shift and it’s “the system is down, please order on the app.” I don’t want to. I don’t want to have to start arainy about with apps. I’ve got me dad in the car from the airport and after said long shift, I just want some fast food. They didn’t want to accept legal tender because the systems are down. Have a bloody contingency in place that doesn’t involve pissing about with apps.

Honestly I’ve been to a lot of maccas but this is one of the cleanest out there. Service great. Food came out hot and presentable. What more could you want from a maccas!

If you're into eating a stone cold breakfast, slurping down a room temperature coffee, that's been half spilled - order online from McDonalds Switch Island. They'll guarantee it. They'll even charge you over £11 for the experience, and make you wait over an hour!! Mc Not Luvin it!

Had the misfortune to have to pop in twice in 12 hours. Both times featured a 25 min wait for small orders. 25 mins for a happy meal jesus christ. Infact if I hadnt actually asked wth is going on i’d still not have got it. No idea what was going on. Went in for breakfast a day later and it was exactly the same. Never again.

I'm not the biggest fan of McDonald's to be honest, but I do genuinely like the coffee and it's far more reasonable than Costa, Starbucks and their ilk

Got 2 mcflurries. They are rock hard. As if they got poured and put in the freezer to serve later. Not many toppings on top either. Like they couldn't be bothered

You could raise a cow butcher it and cook it on a radiator faster than this place, i waited on bay 1 to place my order whilst 4 other vehicles came, placed their order and drove past me on bay 2. I ordered a double cheese burger, im writing this as ive been parked up (for the 10th time in a row whilst visiting here) for 15 minutes. I know what you're thinking "it seems quiet how bad can it be this time" but trust me you'd be better of and quicker service to travel 5 minutes to the aintree retail park branch. Avoid at all costs, management needs to get a grip and fast.

MCDelivery was cancelled after an hour - don't if this was McDonalds' or Uber's fault but McDonalds customer service directs you to uber despite ordering in their app - very poor service. I have now read the other reviews of this restaurant and people's experience with McDelivery and won't order again.

Don't go there if you're hungry. They are that busy serving the drive thru customers and just eat drivers that resteraunt customers go to the back of the queue.

They have some of the dumbest staff I've ever met. 5:00 a.m. on a bank holiday, I'm the only customer in line at drive thru. Ordered a very simple one breakfast bun with a drink and an extra hash brown. Had to repeat it two times before she got my order right and then when I asked the extra hash brown which is 99p part of the breakfast meal she put it separately which is 1.49. 50 pence isn't a lot but I kept telling her you need to say yes to extra hash brown as part of the breakfast meal and she was saying I can't do that. But I can see on the screen it says at the bottom "extra hash brown, no thanks" and then added the extra hash brown separately. They did this last time I went here and I had to show them on the app it should be 50p less than they charged me Either they are really dumb or they're pleading ignorance pretending not to know how to do it. If they are charging every customer 50p more for the same item, they're getting away with a lot of extra charges.

Hands down the worst mcdonald's you can go. When going through drive thru Even if you only got a straw they would park you up for 10 mins. Burgers always look like they have been thrown together trying to beat the world record for fastest burger made, so go with chicken selects or nuggets if you do have to go here . 4am in the morning on way home from a flight only place open so I had to go here again. Asked for a burger with no ketchup and got a burger with extra ketchup. Also the fries were stone cold. Called the shop to complain and the phone was put down on me. Honestly the people working here are so thick and retarded it’s unbelievable . You order a burger with no sauce just cheese and you get ADD Xtra sauce. Burger looks like the back seat of JFK car

Constantly get drive-through orders wrong. Everything I want I get charged for but they “forget” to put part of it in every damned time.

Ordered our meals on the app for delivery, it says order on its way and then mins later delivered, well it wasnt delivered to our address, couldnt get hold of the driver. We live on a main rd which is easy to get to, we have had problem after problem with the shop and the drivers, they never get the address right despite living op a cemetery, its not that hard to find us FGS. Ive now deleted the app and will never use this maccies again, they are incompetent. Did get a refund, only because I made a fuss on mcdonalds main page. BAD SHOP

Cheap breakfast just down the road from the Premier Inn. Returned here a few months later, and the food was cold quality was poor no butter for the muffin. Staff not really interested..

The guy Dylan took my order and put my slip in the bin after taking my order and I was waiting, then I asked for my slip and another guy gave me a duplicate. They took 30mins for just fish fillet and medium fries.

I'm well aware this is a McDonald's and I'm not expecting the world, but firstly they removed our order from their system as fulfilled without any food being served- that's now a 20 minute wait. When we received our order my daughters burger, literally had NO BURGER in it! Didn't bother complaining as it'll be another 20 minutes wait and they'll likely spit in it. Horrifically busy, noisy and run by kids.
