Subway in Brighton and Hove

Scam - advertise 4,99 subs, but once you create the app the offer disappears.

I don't know who hires the employees, but for the money we pay for a sandwich they put in exactly nothing, three slices of ham, and a little bit of cheese, the same with other ingredients too,

The staff (Athin) is extremely friendly, he was so smooth and friendly in handling my order

Worst Subway there is. We ordered 4 of the same 6"inchers, the two foreign staff ladies behind the till never asked what size we wanted. We told them what we wanted although un-asked and even though told the size we wanted they gave us 4 1 foot long ones! We argued that we said 4 6" inchers but they shouted back that we never said that. We could barely understand them just like they could barely understand us, think they should be speaking fluent English if working here. After 5 minutes of an argument they finally have us the right amount for 4 6"inchers by the time that was done the food got pretty much cold! The service was really bad and the toilet so gross definitely avoiding that subway!!

Absolutely worst subway, the two staff working there were rude and unhelpful and were shouting at us as we were with our 2 children as we ordered 4 6” subs they said we ordered 4 1ft subs. I made it very clear I only wanted 6”. As my kids would not eat that size. Then she said as we saw them making them we should have told them ! No gloves on disgusting place to eat. Keep away should be closed down.

Poor service based on not being allowed to add extra salad to a set sandwich??? Never had this in any other subway anywhere?

Always a top sandwich at subway, loads of choice, fairly reasonable prices no parking outside as central Brighton but NCP carpark round the corner

Terrible. Didn’t have meatballs added to my sub so it was just cold salad and sauce! Went back to the shop (as of course their phone is “broken” and their manager doesn’t even contact me back! Awful customer service and really let’s down subway as a whole.

This Subway often does 25% off deals on takeaway apps, and the food is just as good as any other Subway. Last time I ordered from here I got a chicken and bacon sub with lettuce, onions, and bbq sauce, and it's one of my favourite fast food meals. Added some double chocolate cookies too to make it minimum for delivery. So good, Subway cookies are THE best cookies.

Not great food when it has been open. Last time we went an hour before closing. The guy in there was cleaning and said the oven isnt working so we couldnt buy anything. Not even a drink? He was on his mobile phone and clearly just wanted an end to the shift. Of course it was open 1st thing in the morning with no issues.

After over year since last went there has the place improved hmmm no still unnclean service terrible unprofessional in staffing just don't bother

Horrible subway. Waiting For so long for my sub. Need to have more workers there to quicken things up. Food quality so poor and sub was dry and so expensive compared to other subways in Brighton. You won’t see me ever in there again. Such a bad experience. Would not recommend

Such poor service. People had no clue of what was going on even when I spent about 15 minutes on an order. Just Eat machine was broken so told to use Uber Eat. Then 15 minutes later my order was cancelled there too. Total waste of my time when on a tight schedule at work. This was for a big lunch order. That I wrote out to make clearer. Didn't have the courtesy to call me after I left to tell me they weren't doing the order. I left the shop and the sandwich maker had my order in her hand.

1. Bread was raw. Coldplay wrote a song about this loaf (it was yellow) 2. I had to ask for my foot-long to be cut into two 6 inch pieces, which I believe is standard subway practice. 3. Salt, no pepper? 4. Got 4 sauces, the only reason they've reclaimed 1-star 5. Tried the lettuce hack, only got one piece despite asking for lettuce last. Where do they think we are? East Hull? 6. Toilet was locked, despite being a paying customer. WE HAVE RIGHTS 😡 7. No meatballs... ? Where are we? East Hull!? Will not be returning 👎🏽👎🏽

The worst Subway I have ever been to. Where to start? It’s a solid £3 more than the Subway I visited, just 2 days ago, in central London. The server used the same gloved hands to grab the bread, the filling, salad, touch the baking oven screen, the checkout, even the card machine. At the salad bar, half the items were covered in ice and frozen to the side of the containers - so the tomatoes in my sub were super watery. He even forgot to cut my sandwich in half, plus I got the wrong bread - I’m vegan and it was the cheesy one. The food safety was just so poor, I’m expecting to get sick later. When he wasn’t gossiping to his colleague - guess he didn’t want to clean the crumb covered tables - he refused to give someone the toilet code saying it was “out of service”. It looked fine and there was no sign, so he probably just didn’t want to clean the toilet either. Truly, truly awful - please don’t come here. There are 2 other Subways nearby and they are probably miles better.

The female manager treats her staff here appallingly - basic health and safety guidance not in place, so accidents are not recorded. Pay is withheld if orders are returned and staff are bullied within earshot of customers. The staff work incredibly hard and often with no reward or even the correct payment! Vote with your feet and stay away from this branch

It is one of the best subway, I have ever take food from it. Staffs are very friendly and service also very quick. I highly recommended to everyone to pop in.

I've made an order and need help with it the number I called on just eat is invalid lol, and they don't even pick up the phone they have so don't know why they have a phone number there as nobody picks it up.

All good choice always changing in subway which takes the boredom away, unlike some other outlets

Ordered from just eat and taking me over 2 hours and I'm still waiting to receive my order. Restaurant is not even picking up the calls.

The staff here at 109 queens road Brighton seemed completely untrained. He told his name as Sri Hari when asked for, wasn't seemed to be trained in making subs. He just dashed so much of sauces despite being asked to limit. Completely ruined the Sub. This store needs some serious staff training. WONT VISIT AGAIN. COMPLETELY DISAPPOITING EXPERIENCE WITH NO INCLINATION TOWARDS CUSTOMERS OR SERVICE

Absolutely disgusting! Doesn’t even deserve 1 star, I ordered a sun and some crinkle chips things, walked back to work opened up my sub and the chips are soaking wet! Not edible at all! Took it back over was told they cannot be replaced or refunded it’s the policy apparently. Will not use again and will tell everyone in my office to avoid. I had to throw it in the bin and get a meal deal at Tesco! Terrible service don’t waste your money or your time, food is utterly disgusting.

today service was poor. Sweet corn with slimy. The lady was miserable. Had to take the sandwich back to subways. But normally good customer service but today was really bad. Went back she made me a new one but was stingy with the fillings .

Rude staff. Stopped serving me to serve his mate. After paying ignored me again, no confirmation of payment, no "thank you". Just turned away to chat to other staff... Rude.

Worst subway I've ever been to, more interested in talking to eachother than doing their job! No masks in sight just dirty lovebites on them and to top it off after waiting about 20 minutes for her to make my sandwich she didn't even cut it in half. Fuming is an understatement, pure disappointment.

I visited subway last night . The man who has to deal with food was very kind, Explained to me how subway works, and which sandwich from menu should I choose (I'm vegan). Also received a free cookie after we finished. Amazing customer service, Great food. Thank you! You guys doing great!

Order came over 3 hours late. Ridiculous! Phone line has been disconnected so no one would pick up. Unable to cancel the order. Food was freezing. Hardly any salad. Half the order did not come. Just terrible. Do not order!!!!!

Got a steak and cheese footlong, the salad side was all wilted and looked like it wanted to start crawling out the tubs over the counter. Bread was so overly toasted that it stole all the moister out of my body like a sponge and to top it off the guy charged me more than the menu said on the board. I questioned this and he said the board had an error. Why did I believe the complete bull he was spilling. No wonder the place was as empty as a the workers soul behind the counter. Go to this place at your own peril!

Great place for inexpensive healthy eating the breads come in a wide variety of breads the fillings are healthy and plentiful

If I could give no stars I would. Went in today (25/06/2020) at 8:56am and saw a staff member eating at a desk behind the kiosk. I asked him if anyone was going to serve me and her said NO, so I walked out. He was very rude and I will never go to that branch ever again. If this is the type of staff they have, the might as well close that branch. Disgusting behaviour!

Decent place. Next to train station. Small restaurant. Can accommodate only few at a time. Good staff.

Just went into this subway to order some lunch and the worker decided to put the spoon she was using the serve me into the bin, hit it around inside the bin, then proceeded to use the same utensil to serve me my meatball mariana. I then asked if she put the spoon she is using into the bin, the reply was "yeah, haha".... The cross contamination is disgusting.

I think they either struggle to keep experienced staff, or are the training site for other local Subways. Almost every sub is poorly rolled so falls apart as soon as it comes out of the wrapper. Worth walking to one of the many other subways (in my experience!)

Love subways staff are nice some do need a course of how to smile more not happy with the subway bosses in Brighton branch as they restrict on how many new paprika chilli foot long and 6 inch they make per day as because they say there not popular well bosses guess ur wrong

It's the first time I visit a Subway and I think the last one. The quality-price is terrible ... The bread was more toasted than the bill, the meatballs tasted like smoke, they give you to understand that the whole sandwich costs 4.50 but that price is just a sad little sandwich with which you will stay hungry. The person who was working at those times needs to be more energetic and make the sandwiches with less clumsiness. The location of the place is very good. The tables were all full of crumbs bread, it would have to improve a lot... The toilets were no avalibles.

Can't go wrong with Subway sandwich or salad for lunch, although I have noticed that very often various veggies are not available or are not in a good state - i.e. tomatoes are a bit green, carrots look stale and peppers are a bit frozen...

Surprisingly good. First time I'd tried them. Tasty and good value.

Not what I thought it was, but the real train station was luckily just up the street.

If you are the sort of person who has no problem eating a cold Doner Kebab the next day after finding it on your bedroom floor then this is the place for you. The ingredients laid out before you look like something that has been genetically modified in a mad scientists lab. Mystery meat can be added to your "torpedo", sprinkle on some iceberg lettuce and tasteless tomato and cucumber and away you go. This is junk food in more ways than one. Probably tastes good after 11 pints at the local or if you're taste buds find McNuggets too continental.

Just your usual Subway, the only distinction being it's proximity to the station - this is the nearest one.

Young girl left on her own, opening the shop on her own at 0630 in the morning in a rough area of Brighton. Disgraceful of management to leave her fending for herself.

horrible, I was visiting from new york,usa I left brighton station at 11:45 pm, It start raining. I saw bunch of people sitting down, eating so I went in and ordered 2 sandwiches. after getting the food, employee told me to leave, I told him he should have told me before I ordered the food. not after he said we have a new employee and he is training he doesn’t know. total was 10 pounds. I used my car and machine said approved, remove card. employee look at the screen and walk back of the store. I told him to give me a receipt he said no receipt its approved, i said give me a receipt he said no receipt approved. and he went over the counter and start charging me like he was going to hit me. he said i’ll call security. I was scared for my life I left. he start running after me screaming hey, hey you. I left the place. and called uber from bus stop. 2 hours later I get an email from my credit card company stating that subway transaction wasn’t approved although machine said approved remove card. i called the store back (which cost me $2.25 since i am making international call. i told the guy that I got an email that my purchase wasn’t approved . he said if thats the case you have to come back to store and pay. I wasn’t willing the pay 15 pounds for uber ride to pay for 10 pounds sandwich. he refused to take my credit card number over the phone. I will be sending this to subway headquarters when I am back in states

The food is old and the price quantity is not value for money . The food is not refrigerated ,the sitting area was not shared for customers .I'm not sure about the companies quality standards. At least I got to eat something by Tesco .

Although the food was ok, I had to use the toilets and they were disgusting and no toilet paper!! I did report this but was told it was because non-customers use them, I was a customer!! Lock them then and get customers to ask for the key, this works in other places!!

It's near the station so it's in a very good place if you have just some minutes to eat. The food is good and it's quite cheap so it's perfect for fast lunch or dinner. The problem is that is quite dirty, inside and outside. Good that outside there are some chairs where to sit. Not the best subway but it's okay.
