Subway in Cardiff

Polite and very knowledgeable staff. I am celiac and when I stated that I was explained what dishes I could have and what they do to ensure no cross contamination. I witnessed all prepping process myself which included changing gloves and use new utensils. I am very impressed. Thank you very much Subway and the person serving me. I believe her badge said her name was Ewa

Helpful service very busy lunchtime

Rude server does not speak and does not understand what you say. I had a tuna sandwich without tuna in it.

Other reviews regarding customer service are correct. Very rude manager who doesn’t know how to speak to people, shouts at people and is rude to the staff. Surprised she hasn’t been fired yet

Not a fan of the new menu or the way it's done and the older lady working was berating the younger colleague in front of us which I found really unprofessional but both of their attitudes weren't great

Bad customer service. Have visited many Subways across the UK. This was the worst service I’ve ever received from the Subway. Didn’t even ask for intolerances or choices. Not welcoming at all ( at 7 pm!)

This is the worst subway we've ever been to. The service was awful. The lady was so rude to us. I told her we had dairy and gluten allergies (which is the main reason we were at Subway) and she told me she didn't want to know and couldn't help me at all. My daughter only wanted a dairy free cheese sandwich with no other ingredients. She put 2 tiny triangles of cheese on the roll which didn't even cover a quarter of the service. I told her every other subway we've been to they give you one complete layer of cheese and she said it's company policy to give that amount of cheese. She said if we wanted more we had to pay 50p so I agree. Then she laid 2 more tiny triangles of cheese on top of the other cheese, still leaving most of the sandwich with nothing on it. She barked at me numerous other times telling me I was ordering incorrectly etc. We will not be back.

£7.80!!! Wow, and that is a meal deal?? They were really spare with the salad, I kept having to ask for a decent portion but they looked dumb at me, he put one extra spinach leaf on then said I should have asked for a salad if I wanted more!

Had a craving for a mega melt so went up at 11:15 as google said opening was 11am. Store actually opened and 10am and breakfast finished at 11am. The nice women serving still made me breakfast. Thank you

Cycled down to the bay and needed lunch. Went to subway but as there is nowhere outside to secure my bike I took it into the shop with me to be told I cannot bring it into the shop and it will be busy soon. I was the only one in there and there was no queue outside. I left the shop and the manager came outside to say I could not take the bike into the shop and would need to leave it outside. They did not even offer to take my order and bring it out to me. Staff were very rude. I don't know if the owner has changed as I have taken the bike in before with no complaints. Will never go there again.

A promptly made sub by a very friendly member of staff on the end of her shift. She was very polite and catered to our every need. The shop was clean and disinfected every evening before lock up. This subway was in a convenient location by the docks and we came here after an evening booze cruise.

Friendly staff, quick service and well you cant mess up a subway sandwich as it all tastes the same!! Good option for a quick lunch Takeaway. There are tables to sit and eat at but with COVID prefer to sit outdoors and eat!

Subway? More like subwait!! Absolutely astounded at the attitude of the sloth subway 'artist' working here. I felt very uncomfortable when he started caressing the vegetables while maintaining full eye contact. He seemed to enjoy the experience more than me. 2 stars is generous.

Bread wasn't very fresh and not a lot of filling or relish, had to ask for more just like Oliver Twist!!!

Some of the rudest customer service I've come across. I went in a few weeks ago and another customer had left the door open and I was ordered to go over and close the door before I ordered! Went in again recently with a fold up bike. After being told I couldn't bring it inside I offered to fold it up and carry it despite being the only person in the shop I was still told I had to leave it outside so I just left.

Staff can be very slow. If you're coming here at peak times like for lunch you'll be queuing for a while. Some staff can be quite rude, wouldn’t allow me to carry my fold-up bike while I ordered and another time was told to go over and close the door while I was ordering!

One of the ladies was very rude and racist

Went here with a lady who is confined to wheelchair and exempt from wearing a mask, because she can't read the menu I usually order for her, after realising I forgot my mask I used my jumper to use as a face covering,(seen many people wearing snoods or scarfs as face coverings) the shop was empty and we were stood by the door looking at the menu, Simon and awa then proceeded to tell us to get out the shop because we had nothing to say she were exempt( the obvious was staring at her in the face) and because having a jumper over my nose and mouth didnt suffice we were told to get out the shop! We then left after a heated discussion with my client being upset and the feeling of discrimation in the air. I went back to the shop with my mask to tell Awa and simon how i wanted the complaint procedure, on returning I then find her serving a lady who wasn't wearing a mask !!!! How is this acceptable, why was this lady with no mask so different to us? Pure attitude and discrimination against a lady who is in a wheelchair and local to the area! and never will I return to this branch of subway with any of my clients!!!

This particular subway has the worst costumer service ever.. It looks like they hate working there and it shows ! They were so rude, we are definitely not coming back there, my youngest ended up in tears!!! What is wrong with being nice, specially at the moment when we are all struggling.

Queue outside due to it being lunchtime and only 2 people entering at once, fair enough. Once we got in, served by a lovely guy who was very friendly. All menu items looked available. Standard subway ordering, pick the bread, meat, salad etc. All done in line with covid friendly precautions. Hand sanitiser available at the door if wanted.

Went here for a drink (no food), nice place with a good food hygiene rating as well (5). As we only eat/drink in places with a rating of 4 or 5. Great prices.

This customer service assistant, Rekar, is the rudest person I've met in a Subway: disregarding customers, arguing rudely and talking over the food. Though I love the Subway food, I've tried not to visit this branch because of this person.

A nice located subway cafe. Serving all the usual you expect from subway. Very helpful staff. Good and clean cafe. It doesn't have views over the water but you can always get a take out or just sit in and watch the world go by. The vegan patty is worth a go too.

The hostess might have a rough day, at the end i was bit afraid to ask her to put kerchup on my sub!

Went there a couple of times now and the staff are miserable they put little salad of the sub and when I had my sub today I ask for mayo on it and just drowned so they covered it up with foil to not notice how much they put on it.

Paré en Nueva York para almorzar porque la primera elección de mi amigo fue cerrada (como muchos establecimientos). No es particularmente grande, por lo que los asientos serían un problema en las horas punta, pero el personal fue muy amable y eficiente. Es el metro, así que la comida es estándar. o bien sabes lo que te gusta, o intentas algo por primera vez. Debo decir que el café era más amargo que el metro al que voy regularmente, pero todos disfrutamos de nuestras comidas y apreciamos que estuvieran abiertas.

No hay muchas opciones para los vegetarianos, básicamente hay un sándwich de ensalada o una empanada vegetariana, ninguno de los cuales puedo recomendar ya que ambos son muy sosos. También encuentro el olor del Subway, una extraña mezcla de pan duro y carne demasiado cocida. Sin embargo, para dar crédito donde se debe el crédito, la persona que me atendió fue educada y amable.

Se trata de un local donde se sirve una comida rápida muy buena y donde el personal es bastante rápido a la hora de preparar tu "sub".Diría que es superior en cuanto a calidad y servicio a la media del resto de cadenas subway. Muy bueno!

My kids had a classic tuna sub for the first time and they absolutely loved it.

Our experience in this establishment can be summed up perfectly in one word. Or rather one enigma, going by a simple 3 letter name; Ali, of course. I myself am a frequent visitor of various Subways; I follow the ‘Sub Way’, if you will. And the realisation I’ve reached after each of these visitations is the apparent and obvious quality of the workers. However none compare to this man. It really is a tragedy that hardworking members of our society such as Ali are forced into rather extreme shifts in order to provide for his family. For his sake, and for the sake of all the workers of such establishments, more should be done to provide adequate assistance in life to these individuals. A handsome tip was well deserved; it’s five stars from me.

5 stars to Ali for handling a large group of us and perfecting our subs. Man deserves a raise.

The salad is always really fresh. The bread is nice. There's a great range of products, all of which you can customise to your preference. The prices are reasonable. In this particular branch, the staff are very friendly and amenable.

A small place but service was very good. This is the best place for Vegetarians to get food.. Mr Evans (I hope its correct) served us with a lot of patience. The food, Veg & Non Veg were both very nice.

It was just a subway nothing special. It is nice if you want something a little healthier.

El limpiador de ventanas estaba allí, estábamos sentados junto a la ventana, él no me pidió que me moviera, simplemente me empujó. ¡La señora detrás del mostrador miró y no dijo nada aunque derramé mi bebida! ! Having been let down in a local pizza place, this was a friendly and tasty and cheaper alternative. Greeted warmly with patient staff as we spent ages choosing fillings. Tasty food. Eaten in subways all round the world and this is one of the most understated yet best

Awful place. Had a kids meal deal which defo wasnt a 4 inch sub! When i asked if he would cut up the cheese toastie the 2 members of staff both looked at each other. They didnt understand what i meant😞 Ill be sticking to caerphilly in future !

Far too small to comfortably seat a large group but the staff more than make up for any shortcomings. They accidentally messed up our order and were so nice in sorting it out. Whoever recruits your sandwich artists needs a raise (as well as the sandwich artists themselves).

Este metro es el lugar de comida rápida onlyy en la bahía y que significa que puede ser muy concurrida en horas de almuerzo y los fines de semana, cuando hay un montón de visitantes de la bahía.La comida siempre es buena y el servicio está bien. En ocasiones pueden ser bajas en personal y en esos momentos la espera puede ser bastante largo.

La segunda fue quejándose del topping pedí con su colega femenino porque "no vale lo de ella es elegir SÉ QUE sé" y blablabla. Hasta que duró pidió "hay ningún chicos problema"? Ellos dijeron "aw" Así y todo no comentarios tonto mientras que resultó con la parte trasera? Como voy a metro dos veces al año, no tengo idea de cómo conseguir una buena oferta. . . . estaría lo suficientemente amable para sugerir algo sobre mí en vez de hablando delante de mí con sus colegas? ! Fuimos allí por la tarde, sobre las 6. 30 / 6. 45:00 h. Completamente olvidado la oferta donde comprar una bebida grande y conseguir un sub. Mi hijo quería un metro por su té. Aún espera ser servida a las 7 de la tarde y una chica detrás del mostrador nos dijo que no podía conseguir la oferta más porque estaban cerradas pero de todos modos nos sirven porque estábamos aquí antes de las 7 de la tarde. Esto me condujo a un argumento entre el chico detrás del mostrador porque él estaba diciendo todo el mundo estaba aquí antes de las 7, así que debería tener la oferta. Algo incómodo la verdad. Ella parecía un poco jobsworth tbh. Sub que puedes esperar.
