Visited newquay today looking forward to sightseeing and enjoying the sun but my day was inexplicably ruined by the very rude woman serving us at subway. Firstly, she did not have a name badge on, probably wasn’t wearing it on purpose given the way she speak to customers. She was extremely rude to the 2 separate customers in front of us, and I’d noticed her picking up bits of meat so clumsily that they were dropping into other containers i.e. I could clearly see bits of chicken and peppers mixed in with the steak. Unacceptable as this could cause someone with a serious allergy to be violently ill or something more serious. She needs sacking or a serious talking to about her attitude or retraining as she cannot interact with people in a normal manner.

There was 2 people working, one was doing the sandwiches, the other doing the till. The man doing the till was annoying the other one and was an awkward dynamic to be in. Absolute rubbish. I ordered delivery from there today. They sent the wrong size sub, which was missing the hash browns I paid extra for. I ordered Tropicana orange juice and they sent Oasis instead which is a sugary drink. The sub was sloppy and messy with most of the fillings outside of the bread just in a mess. I've been to 2 other Subway locations and this is by FAR the worst. Whoever made up my order can't read, can't follow instructions and can't even make a sandwich!

The delivery driver was lovely and on time but my garlic slice was dry, had hardly any chew and practically no garlic and it was cold and so was my sandwich, which also wasn’t cut properly or packed well as when I opened it everything had fallen out.

Went there at 5:45 and it says it shuts at 8pm. Was slightly confused as the door was shut but all the lights was on there so I called up to see if they was open a man answered the phone and sounded extremely weird and rude so I asked if they was open and he just didn’t answer so I made sure I had definitely called the right subway and he said I had so I asked if they had shut early which he just said they had and nothing else. Extremely weird and dodgy don’t recommend.

The gentleman that was serving here alone on the day I visited absolutely deserves recognition!!!! He was putting together a lengthy uber eats / just eat order, whilst ensuing the queue was informed and well managed. He had the patience of a Saint whilst my children made their request, the food he prepared was great quality, all fresh, well packaged and accurate and combined with friendly attentive service. 10/10, he absolutely deserves a couple of colleagues to support him at the counter !

Visited this evening to get some cookies. Lovely friendly guy in there. Great service, however the thing I'm not happy about, is the fact he's a young person working in there all alone until 2am in the morning!! That's absolutely disgusting! He was clearly uncomfortable with the group of young lads being served before us. What happens should he have an accident? Or calapses whilst there alone? Who's there to help him? Or a group of people or individual comes in to cause trouble? This is absolutely disgusting for an enployer to put an employee in this situation. Sort it out! Very unhappy! Right in town so i went inside. Long queue but expected being busy. Was told we had to wait for delivery orders to be placed first. No tuna (at 11 a.m.) nothing prepared to replace food. Dirty tables not been cleaned, probably from breakfast. No cold drinks from self machine and ice maker broken. Not enough staff and those that were there were useless! Lots of unhappy customers. Such a shame in a busy summer place. I would never go back there!

Went today, ordered 4 very simple 6" sandwiches. There were 4 staff working which should've made the service quick, however...3 of the staff were concentrating on Uber/just eat orders which left the inexperienced member of staff to look after a queue of around 20 people. When the other staff finally came to help, saying they were extremely rude & disrespectful would've been a compliment for the It's fair to say we won't be going back & hopefully Subway actually act on all these reviews & put your staff through customer service training, rather than ignore them!

Visited Newquay subway and another horrible experience! It was a lunchtime weekday. Granted Newquay was busy but a long wait as the server prepared delivery orders first. Only 3 servers and one was at the till twiddling her thumbs whilst the other 2 scrambled to sort out phone orders, instead of helping customers in line. No tuna available and none extra prepared so i had a slivering of tuna on my sub as she scraped out what she could. Why had no-one prepared enough food for the day? It was only 11.30 and they were out of ingredients! The place itself was nasty, food on the tables and floor and i had to clean my own table before i could sit down. Absolutely disgraceful! I will never visit a Subway in Cornwall again, as this was the 2nd visit whilst on holiday! I live on the Isle of Wight and the Subways in Ryde and Newport are lovely and clean, with plenty of supplies of ingredients available for the subs at all times! Inspectors need to visit these 2 locations as these premises are not up to required hygiene!

Terrible delivery service. Food was frozen cold when outside is 20 degrees. No possibility to complain on the app. Driver totally unable to communicate in English. He was keep sending me messages in Russian language despite I clearly stated I can’t understand him. I felt vulnerable to open the door to someone who clearly didn’t want to speak English and told me to translate on an app.

Bit shocked that they didn’t offer lamb shish as that’s my fav! Me and partner ordered burger and large doner kebab meal. Very nice and generous portions. Arrived 2 miles away, in less than 20 mins from ordering. Highly recommend. Ooh the chilli sauce tasted minty too which was a really nice touch with the lamb doner.

Ordered nachos for my son who really doesn’t like spicy food Asked for no Chili’s on then and they came covered in Jalapeños my And then came cold along with the sandwich was not toasted at all really bad service the woman with very dark black hair was seriously rude and slam the food down on the side refused to answer or really listen to our order seriously very upset and debating whether or not I ever want to step foot in there again

Looking at the reviews, food delivery times are as they were in June 2022. We arrived at 12.45 on Sunday 8th September to be greeted with the sign advising a 45 minute wait for hot food. We stood in a line of 12 people and reached the order point after 30 minutes. We both wanted soup, to be told Yes, 45 mjnutes was what it would take. What planet is the management on? Just how many years does it take to take the message on board & make an improvement. 45 minuted for a bowl of soup. They surely by now get the message that a wait of 1.25 hours in total for a bowl of soup is ridiculous. I cannot believe each soup is made especially to order. We threw the towel in , jumped in our car & travelled over to Trellisk near Truro, even busier than this restaurant, were served and eating our choice within 15 minutes of arriving. Is there a lesson here? Of course there is & one this restaurant should take very seriously. Very disappointed & frankly angry that this is the way customer’s are treated.
