Subway in Dover

Shocking!!!! I don't know what's happened but after today I will never be going back to this store. Very poorly trained staff, loads of cross contamination and very slow. I watched my order being made with contaminated gloves and see what it looked like after it was toased and walked out. I love subway but there was no was in hell I was eating that. One staff barely spoke English and had no clue what she was doing. AVOID AT COSTS

Walked into a very quiet Subway (only 1 family sitting in). Was made to wait (there was no queue) until eventually the rude female server told us we had to wait (no explanation) then she proceeded to make numerous subway sandwiches at snail pace. There were 3 members of staff and not one of them could serve us. Eventually I asked very politely how long this delivery order would take and was told "first come, first served" very rudely. By now there was a queue forming. In the end we decided to leave as my daughter was getting hungry. Will never visit this store store again. Another example of the greed of the online delivery service replacing good old fashioned customer satisfaction!

I’ve been coming to this branch for several years, infrequently - but it really appears to have gone downhill. The lady that ‘served’ me was beyond rude - “YES?” was the greeting I got, after she finished fiddling around with the online orders that appear to take precedence. One of the two other words in her vocabulary was “toasted?”. I said “no thank you”, and she proceeded to try and toast it anyway. I got an eye roll for reminding her that I didn’t want it toasted. Back to “YES?” again for my choice of salad, and then “sauce?” - which she did thankfully get correct. The person on the till was more friendly and the food was ok, so I chose to give two stars. Seriously though, don’t just rely on online orders and please get that young lady (re)trained ASAP!

Rude!! Check your attitude at the door ladies, I’m sure there are plenty of people that could do your job and do it better. Customer service is not your forte.

Oh my - talk about disorganised. It appears that pre orders, and collection companies take priority over any customers actually in the shop. The staff had no room to work behind the counter, it was so hot, and service was so slow.

I like subway, I like the food but sometimes chains can drop the ball a little bit.I have used this branch a few times and have no issues with the staff or the food at all, but when I visited last, the marinara sauce had mould on top of it. I’m writing this review not as a reprimand but more of a reminder to keep things clean, especially when it’s food.

The food as per usual perfection the staff are friendly. I have come to see that there alot of people moaning about the cleanliness of the place. I walked in today and it was tidy. The only thing I will say how is it fair how you can mark a place down considering you should be putting your own rubbish in the bin. There to many people who are lazy and have no respect for a place. Give this place it's due it's been here a long time now and its taken it beatings by everyone and it is still standing. Tip of advice if your going to eat at a place that has a bin. It ain't hard to put it in bin. Then the problem will be solved but apart from my little moan the staff are great hear they always try to listen and progress.

Very rude staff, low stocked on most food, all vegetables covered in a layer of ice. The staff were just awful

Hello I went to this establishment yesterday due to seeing some of these reviews about the cleanliness. I have to disagree personally myself. I walked in yesterday with my family and place looked really clean. I like the new and improved salad station. Alot more options. They have officially brought out vegan Patty's for the vegans and gluten free bread. I believe it's coming along well. The staff are really friendly and always up for recommendations. The only one issue I had was no raspberry cheesecake cookies but instead muffins!!! I love raspberry cheesecake cookies but the muffins was delicious too. I highly recommend the steak and cheese on chilli paprika bread. Will definitely be back.

This is the 3rd time I’ve been in there recently and each time I’ve been disappointed. The service is painfully slow and the floor of the restaurant was messy and dirty. It is also the second time I’ve been in there of a lunchtime (their busiest period) and both times they’ve had hardly any bread selections. ‘Sorry we've not got that one’ is what I’m told- now forgive me but don’t they bake their own bread on the premises?? And being lunchtime, you could be more organised for your hungry customers!!!

went in the Dover subway today, tables and floors all dirty. Asked for the veggy patty as I am vegetarian- the server proceeded handling my order without changing his gloves, having just served loads of meat into other orders- not nice !

We 2 had breakfast subs and drinks for £4.90. Food reasonable quality. One of the few places open in central Dover early. Surroundings very utilitarian and plastic.

Visited today was fairly busy but the customer service was at the highest I have seen in a long time started at the meat section made to feel very welcome offered more produce for a little extra of price so I got extra cheese. The lady who served me was full of smile made me feel welcome wasn't sure of her name could see she had a badge on but name was covered she had a tattoo on her arm then served by another polite lady who completed my sub to a very neat standard and then served at the till by a young man who was still very polite. Service was to a great standard and staff appeared to have everything undercontrol in this busy hour. It's nice to see that subway have found decent staff and the 3 of them together made a great team

I've never been able to eat a meatball sub without it going everywhere, in my beard, on my top and even in my shoe sometimes... but today was a different story. The precise space between each meatball and the perfect amount of sauce combined with a perfectly toasted sub meant i was able to enjoy my sub in peace. I would highly recommend... .. shame i had to wait 6 years to get it...

Visited the Dover store today at 6:35pm the lady working was pretty much shouting at the young lad who at this time was cleaning tables she was very very rude to him. He stopped cleaning tables whilst she tried to make herself look busy. Whilst being served I was then told I could not eat my food in doors and could only eat outside if I want to sit down and eat when I asked why he said because he had to tidy everything before he left in 20 mins when I stated they didn't close till 8pm he said yes but you can't eat in I use to work at a subway myself and I even know now of a customer comes in 10 mins before close they can still eat in the toaster takes a while to cool down and be cleaned etc so so surely the cleaning is done fully then whilst the toaster is being cleaned it's not a big store so it wouldn't take much time ended up going to the subway near sandwich instead

At about 2pm. joined a queue of 7 or 8 people then waited 20 minutes for two sandwiches which included 3 or 4 mins. before my method of payment was accepted- meanwhile the food was losing heat. Had to take the food away to eat as the cafes tables, chairs and floor were disgustingly littered with large amounts of leftover food and wrappers. I am told this branch is closing soon if so certainly not before time.

Petite ballade en Angleterre, l'heure de déjeuner arrive et pensant qu'ils parlent le français nous entrons. Et là personne ne parlent le français ni les 2 serveurs ni le patron, mais ils sont très gentils et là j'essaie de me faire comprendre avec les quelques mots que je connais et ça marche. Nous avons nos 2 sandwichs et boissons.

Well good sandwiches normal quality expected from a Subway you can always trust most subways to give you a consistently good sandwich. No welcome when we entered general areas were clean and tidy.

Era terrible después de un bocadillo de indigestión,

Fuimos al mediodía para encontrar que no había un componente fundamental lechuga, de todos y cada uno de metro. Tostadora, ¿quiere decir horno? Hizo el queso en nuestro browner subs mucho de lo normal. El servicio era bastante lento, aunque éramos cuatro a la orden y sólo una chica haciendo los bocadillos. No es un mal sub en general, sólo un metro para igualar la deprimente ciudad donde estaba.

Been to Subway overseas and they're not as clean as in the States, but this one was worse than the others in a town that is run down. The sandwich was as good as ever.

Mis metro locales a menudo han roto chocolate caliente máquinas, así que esta era una mejor de lo habitual. Yo no era el único cliente y servidor (miembro del equipo?) Tuvimos una charla con todo el mundo, haciendo una buena sensación para todos. Nothing to dislike - escoges tu ingredientes frescos, verlos convertirse en un sándwich y luego lo comes, ¿qué más quieres? El mejor sandwich en la High Street (calle Cannon, en este caso.)

La estación de metro en el garaje de BP en el planteamiento del puerto del ferry. Sándwiches estaban bien, con un montón de abundante. Tomó un poco de tiempo para la chica que hacer cada sándwich así que parecía un poco lento. O tal vez es porque yo era conciente de mi tiempo de navegación de ferry!. Sabía muy bien y era muy mucho la comida en sí mismo.

Been here a few times. The service is high standard, the food is the usual quality but there has always been at least one other customer in there-usually a group of youths- to spoil the experience.

Good service staff are always really friendly it's always clean in there and the food is always good the toilets could do with a good clean

Food quality is the usual Subway stuff. service is good even though it can be crowded during lunchtime. Service usually comes with a smile. Some patrons spoil the atmosphere - some ill-bred kid paying for one drink and wanting to top-up 3x for his friends. Challenged the staff for stopping him doing this and even threatened legal action! what a commotion! Could do without ill-bred children coming in.

Was on a cruise, had to hurry back onboard and the lady working at this Subway was very nice and made a great sandwhich for me!!
