Subway in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

My autistic daughter was waiting to be served today. I'm heavily pregnant so went to sit down while she ordered. The young lady with glasses at the till. Decided to bypass my daughter and serve those around her. When i could see my daughter becoming upset, I went to the till to query why she hadn't been served and to express how unhappy I was with the service. I was met with sarcasm. To which I responded it was her job to make sure she was aware of the customers around her. To then be told if I continued to speak to her in that way. She'll refuse to serve me. Absolutely no customer service skills, no apologies from her (the older lady was lovely about it) no offer of a free cookie or something as an apology. I will be reporting to head office.

We were served quite early in the morning by a lovely young girl, though despite the early hours, she was lovely and chipper and more than happy to chat with us. As luck would have it, we were on our way to Liverpool, and Mia is a scouser! She didn't just recommend us some subs that we will definitely be getting again, she also gave us recommendations on museums, restaurants and even small parks that we never would've found as tourists. We've just gotten back from the trip and I'd say it wouldn't have been nearly as brilliant were it not for her suggestions. Some of the best customer service I've received in a while.

The chap making the subs was nice. The bloke on the til was horrendous, he didn’t speak, slammed the cookies down, pointed at a cup and I said yes two and slammed them down. Didn’t tell Us the Price just gave Us the Card machine. I missed out of points on the app as the experience put me off what I was doing. If I see him serving again I won’t be using the place.

Went for lunch, the guy serving me asked if I was okay with everything that came with the sub if I wanted to take away anything, I said no thank you. He then proceeded onto wrapping my sub without asking if I wanted salad or sauce. I then asked politely if I could add salad. He then raised his voice at me and said he had already asked me when he had not. He then swore under his breath and threw the sauce onto the table and then slammed the sub onto the counter. Not happy with this rudeness especially being a young female.

Wow. Serious attitude problems here. The idiot that served me wasn’t just rude but had a serious attitude problem. He was lucky I didn’t respond otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to write a review here. He should never work I hospitality and should get a life !!

My son and I visited subway and we were served by Isaac. What an absolutely well mannered, kind, polite young man! He remembered my order from our last visit and was just such a delight. As my son and I left, we both said that Isaac was one of the nicest people we had ever met in the food industry. 100% credit to the company!😊😊

Awful. Bread crumbled, probably because the oven was too hot. A guy, who I assume was the manager couldn't get to grips with a voucher we had (two meals, drink and cookie) The tables and floors were disgusting; moved tables three times. Won't be going back

Massive shoutout to the young guy working in Subway today - 1st September 23. I’d been to a family BBQ in Plymouth where I had unfortunately left my baby’s formula. He started crying when in traffic coming over the bridge. This resulted in me stopping for some ready to feed formula. Unfortunately I have a fussy baby who only likes their milk warm, so I stopped once again in Saltash services. Neither Burger King, subway or the travelodge could lend me their microwave to warm the milk. I phoned my partner distressed contemplating a screaming baby in the back of the car for the next hour. I went back to Subway and asked for a cup of boiling water, to mix with the formula so it was warm. I didn’t purchase anything from them but this guy gave me the water, no questions asked. It seems menial but honestly it saved both me and my son so much stress. I cannot thank him enough!

Ordered two subs and they came freezing cold, they forget my cookie/muffin 90% of the time too, only thing these people seem to get right is the drinks plus when you actually go in you’re normally greeted by a moody older guy

Ordered a small bite with cheese and tomato. Only one piece of cheese inside instead of the normal two. Coffee luke warm as was the greeting and overall service. I’m a regular frequenter of Subway but certainly won’t be returning to this particular one.

Saltash has a Subway and it is good. Sadly the location is very inconvenient for pedestrians to get to from the centre of Saltash. I was up for a challenge and can tell you how to get there. Walk along Callington Road for a very considerable distance. Eventually you can see various motorists' paradises, go past McDonalds and eventually cross the A38 over a light green pedestrian bridge. Carry on in the same direction along a footpath and in due course veer left over the A388. By this time you will see a sign for the Travelodge. This is a good sign ! Follow the signs to the Travelodge. The Subway is located in a low rise building that has a Burger King and the Travelodge reception. The Subway is great but sadly they did not have any oat cookies. The Subway would be very useful for people staying at the Travelodge but of course for pedestrians the Subways in Plymouth are far easier to get to.

I have been here on two occasions, bearing in mind Subway is usually my favorite take away usually. This is the issues I have found. No vegi meatballs on both occasions! Had vegi patty both time, 2nd time the young lad took went out to the back to grab patty and showed the date to his supervisor and asked 'will these still be alright', I did not see the date, I ended up grabbing chips from the burger king and ditching the sub. Cross contamination - I am a vegetarian and they do not change their gloves in between customers where they handle meat and then place those meat hand into the salad, gross. They also take money with the gloves on and go back to preparing subs. Again this is why I threw my 2nd sub away. I worry about cross contamination, in light of Covid I would have thought the infection control or cross contamination would be excellent, sadly it is not. I do not think this Sub Way is well run, which is a shame as it has tainted my view on purchasing subway subs as a whole, once my favorite I will now avoid.

The staff had not prepared anything by the morning and saw the staff dawdling 40 minutes before. But had not even got any bread ready no cookies no tuna barely any chicken. It is poor. The worker there was slow, didn’t listen, the vegetable bains were half full.

In a complex with Travelodge, Greggs, Burger King and Sainsburys on the go. So a convenient choice for stayers at travelodge. The subway has the usual selection. The chicken salad was fine but the chicken wrap dull.

Difficulty finding it. Looks like you are going into travel lodge. You walk into travel lodge, then turn left and it's hidden on the left. We almost drove off thinking we were in the travel lodge only carpark!

Took the family for lunch at subway saltash today..... mistake! Somebody has clearly spent a serious amount of money re-vamping the services only to have the staff destroy its reputation, we are here only because saltash has nothing else, when something else springs up locally this place will whether and die.... if this were my business ide be giving my staff a kick up the back side and some happy pills.

Every time that I've tried to eat here, they're out of something. The staff couldn't care less & would rather you ate somewhere else.

Recently refurbish the restaurants of subway/Burger King / Greg’s , all clean and good food and service . However the shared toilets are disgraceful and filthy , the dryers don’t work , there is pink mouldy scum that could be easily cleaned off around the taps and sinks , Dirk gathered around each floor toilet fixing , no excuse for it for a food establishment , I Pop in regularly for food , and they have been the same for the last two years ! I will not be using them again .

An ok place to grab a snack. Typical of the franchise. Good service and all the usual selections available. Great if thats your cup of tea.

Went here with friends on the way back from Plymouth and wished the burger King next door was open as subway didn't have any meatballs or anything decent so ended up with a bowl of nachos and a chicken sub

I arrived at 4pm and there was no one around, so no food for me after a long journey. Tried again next day but was told the only vegetarian food available was salad!!!

Good value for money and lovely fresh bread , and very good variety of fillings with fresh chicken and turkey.

Worst subway I've ever had. The meatballs were hard and black, and the place was so untidy and dirty even though there were plenty of staff doing nothing, rubbish everywhere and actually struggled to find a clean table

The service area at Saltash is very large for the number of customers. Co-located with the Subway is a Burger King. We stopped here for a bite to eat and a break when driving from Truro to Paignton. Whilst the choice seemed limited to staff...

Stopped here for lunch today, only had 2 of the breads. The salad section looked terrible and not fresh, couldn't add the points to our subway cards. Pretty poor showing. The staff favourite word seemed to be sorry.

I'm a big fan of subway however the employees at the saltash branch don't seem to be as enthusiastic as other subways. They mumble and I always have to repeat my order to them as they forget. The subs could do with spending more time...

arrived at subway to the greeting of the lifeless zombies they have decided to employ, all i got was a grunt when i came up to the counter, possibly the least welcoming staff i have ever come across, the subway itself was ok apart from the fact it was on the cold side. when i eventually had to pay one of the monstrosities behind the counter he could barely put a sentence together and couldn't even count up my change correctly. It was actually quite embarrassing. SCUM!

I can't fault my visits to Subway. The good was consistently good. I stayed in the Travelodge next door and used Subway for breakfast most days. My only Criticism would be that some mornings there would be one member of staff and significant queues, whereas...

This is my first visit to subway. I was impressed with their cleanliness, disposable gloves which are used fresh each time to handle food. Good service. Very nice and not what I expected.

Subway is subway but it is shared with the Burger King. Yup, same restaurant but different desks. Shares the seating area with Burger King. Very small but food and staff are great.

A regular lunch time haunt for us as I have to buy lunch nine time's out of ten this is ideal and not to expensive. Great deals daily. Worth a try.

Really love subway but this relatively new outlet is slow to get going, I have visited twice a week since it opened and have found the bread options very limited. I was told weeks agoit was because they dont know how much they are going to use, but this is silly now. I went in today a Sunday and at 4pm to be told they had NO subs only flat bread yet all bread is cooked on site. Why ask if I am eating ot taking away when you always wrap it and bag it never offering the use of the baskets> The service in any subway is far better I am very disappointed
